"BB’s Crispy Chicken is the upcoming fast-casual crispy chicken empire from James Beard Award-winning chef Ashley Christensen. The menu consists of fried poultry sandwiches in various degrees of spicy with topping like thick-cut pickles, lettuce, tomato, and Duke’s mayo with sides like waffle fries and crunchy cheese curds. She plans to expand to Durham and Cary as well." - Erin Perkins

Today was my first visit to this restaurant. It was amazingly clean with just the right amount of decorations to make it inviting. I did a take out order of chicken tenders which was called something different on the online menu. I received five tenders with buttermilk ranch dipping sauce and the sea salt brined french fries. The chicken was very good, however I have yet to find a restaurant that tops Canes, it definitely tops Hot Dave's. The sauce was perfect... a great taste and just right for dipping. The fries was the best part of the meal, perfect size not to thin or thick, a mild salty flavor and light not greasy. The staff were helpful, neat and professional.

Google
The food wasn’t horribly bad but there were some minor inconveniences, for example the sweet potato fries were a lot better than the French fries, in my opinion the French needed extra flavor the McDonald’s ones are way better. The tender at least the ones I ordered needed to be more crispy, although I did get the Nashville ones so maybe that’s why they weren’t as crispy since they were covered in hot sauce. If you’re like a eater who wants real flavorful fried food then this place might not be for you. Other than that the sandwich was delicious. Overall the food was a 8.7 out of 10, I don’t know if I I might go back though.

Google
Reading the other reviews it seems like its hit or miss here. I really enjoyed the food. I had the pimento cheese sandwich. The chicken is cooked with a tempura like batter. The chicken was cooked just right. The nicely toasted bun added a bit of sweetness, the pimento cheese tasted homemade with a mildly sharp cheddar and the pickled jalapeños I added gave it a nice hint of spice. I enjoyed it for sure. My daughter had the kids meal with chicken nuggets. They were cooked in the same batter and tasted great. The tots where good too. Nice crunch without being over cooked.

Google
Very clean restaurant, the staff were kind, respectful, and helpful. LOVED the Classic Chicken Sandwich, and the sea salt fries were delicious. The chicken tenders had a breading we weren’t huge fans of - we felt it took away from the chicken, but I do love a good crunch! Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich wasn’t as flavorful as we expected, but it was still okay. We tried one of each of the sauces and our favs were the southwest ranch, the regular ranch, and the hot honey.

Google
Food: Grilled chicken Ceasar Salad wrap with extra ceasar is delicious. The salad did not have too many stem pieces, the croutons were perfect, and the dressing was rich. The grilled chicken was juicy and seasoned well. The hot honey sandwich was spicy, followed by a sweet kick. The fries were lightly seasoned. The service was okay. Atmosphere: I loved the clean lines and simple layout. The booths on the wall have outlet plugs.

Google
I was there recently, and though the girl that was at the cash register was helpful and friendly, the Nashville hot chicken sandwich was not the best. The chicken itself was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, but lacked flavor and seasoning as far as the hot oil that they dip the freshly fried chicken in. Don’t know why but the coleslaw that usually goes on those was MIA and definitely should be added on but the sweet potato fries were amazing and the ranch that I asked for because you have to ask for any condiments I really enjoyed & that Mexican Coke in the glass bottle hit the spot. Decor was OK but lacked I believe some paintings or something to give it life and I was the only customer in there.m, so that was disappointing, but also indicative a place that is not the best, especially during lunch hour… the manager, and other employees were super nice and friendly, and I will be going again to try other things because I did end up feeling sick on my stomach after eating only a quarter of the Nashville hot chicken sandwich which I just ended up throwing away because I didn’t like it but didn’t want to complain.

Google
This place is way over-hyped because of the owner’s reputation. The food taste is fine but is it worth the high price and long lines? Absolutely not. Go to a well known, more efficient fast food chain and you’ll have the same experience for a quarter of the cost. The prices here make no sense to me and are a large contributor to why this place isn’t worth the hassle. Why is it $11 for 3 sides but only $5 for two sides? That doesn’t make sense you could order two of the two-sides and get FOUR sides for $10 instead of three sides for $11? Who came up with this pricing scheme? And $7 for a milkshake that is just blended soft serve with whip cream? $10 for a chicken sandwich smaller than most fast food chains? On to the food, the sides were just okay at best. The cheese curds were not good, they are like chewy rubber and the breading leaves a terribly dry feeling in your mouth. The sauce sides do not have nearly enough sauce they fill the little cups like halfway. The chicken dippers or tenders breading was weird and dry the same as the cheese curds. The sweet potato waffle fries and the regular fries were nothing to write home about. The classic chicken sandwich had no flavor at all except for the flavor of the pickles, but the chicken was juicy inside and crunchy outside.

Google
We passed by BB’s a few times and meant to try it out after liking Ashley’s other restaurants. Unfortunately it did not live up to the anticipation or hype. The chicken was a good size, but the batter wasn’t very flavorful without sauce. Over halfway through my sandwich, I noticed it was slightly undercooked inside. The bun was not as soft as I typically prefer. The cheese curds were greasy and dense— not at all the squeaky curds that I expected. The sandwich didn’t stand out from other fast food restaurants; it was a pretty average “fast” food fried chicken sandwich.

Joy C.

Yelp
Love the crispy chicken and that they use Duke's mayonnaise. Lol. I just like a plain sandwich with lettuce tomato and mayo occasionally bacon. This is the best choice corn sandwich in town. The ambiance is a bit too fast goofy but who cares the food is good and fresh.

Charlie F.

Yelp
On a sunny fall Saturday I chose to dine here. I believe this restaurant trend is called "fast casual". I was at the counter and looked at the many chicken sandwich options. Went with the BBQ Cheddar (Texas smoky BBQ and cheese sauce) along with a side of sweet potato fries and a sweet tea. I was given a buzzer to let me know when the order would be ready. The space is large, with tall ceilings, white walls, and minimal decor themed to the restaurant. Didn't take long for the order to be ready. I liked the crispiness of the chicken and the sauces made it good and messy (the menu does say you need extra napkins.) Glad I checked it out!

Shawn L.

Yelp
Excellent food, entree items made fresh when ordered, sauces are great. Fresh Key Lime limeade is delicious and refreshing The Korean Crispy Chicken is really good. Worth a trip just for this sandwich. They advertise it as a limited time item, that should be changed, it's way too good to not be on the menu. For $10 it's so worth it.

Jeremy A.

Yelp
Stopped in for one of their famous Sandwiches and to me it came away as a average but not in a bad way. I couldn't see myself rushing back and claiming it as the best sandwich in the city but I did like pickles.

Katie T.

Yelp
This place was empty on a Wednesday at 6pm (save for the annoying man walking around talking on his phone the entire time I was there). The employee who took my order was nice & answered my questions. I will say the floor was beyond sticky. I don't know if they purposely designed it so it nearly pulls off your sandal or if it needs a good power washing. The food: My pimento chicken sandwich was ok. To me, the chicken didn't have much flavor. If it hadn't been for the pimento cheese spread I'm not sure how much taste there would have been. The bun also seemed to have more flavor than the chicken itself. My 1/2 tot and 1/2 fry combo (everything is a La carte...no sides come with a sandwich automatically) was disappointing. They tasted like they'd been dumped out of a frozen bag from the grocery store and put into a toaster oven. Disappointing. I can say I tried it but won't be back.

Jan K.

Yelp
If If the chicken finger weren't the size of my picky, I woul consider a higher rating. Yes, the quality of the food was decent, but this was way overpriced and the inconsistencies of the chicken finger sizes underwhelmed me. Otherwise, the service was nice and the location/ambiance lends itself for a good casual place to hangout with friends or just sit around with your laptop to catch up on some work.

Allan A.

Yelp
The good-they offer 12 dipping sauces. I ordered sweet potato waffle fries. Rey suggested getting the mango sweet and sour sauce, and it was spot on! Service is Cafe style and the food came out quickly. The okay- chicken was definitely crispy, and while the brioche bun was tasty, it was a tad small, and the dipping sauce made a mess. Bummer- stoked to see waffle sweet potato fries. They were cold, which left me disappointed. Bottom line - friendly staff, great sauces but did not get the food value for what I paid for.

Brittney P.

Yelp
Best gluten free nuggets I've had. So fresh and the chicken is good quality (not ground chicken). Sauces and side Caesar salad were super good! My husband loved his tenders too!

Ashleigh F.

Yelp
When I tell y'all I gobbled up this whole sandwich I mean I gobbled. This was the absolute best crispy, juicy, delicious, flavorful chicken sandwich I have ever had. Paired with the hot honey sauce (extra on the side for me please) and their crispy fries. Man, that's my heaven. Had the key limeade and it was just all around a good time. Take a stop here sometime. You will not be disappointed

Sarah V.

Yelp
If you like fried chicken sandwiches, this place is a must!! I've tried the Hit Honey and the White Hot Buffalo. Both are amazing. The chicken stays super crispy even with the smothering of sauces. The bread is fluffy but not too thick. They have sweet potato fries and regular fries. I've tried both and are a yummy addition. I got the regular fries with the magic rub and it's packed full Of Flavor with a kick. The birthday cake shake is so good too! The only disappointing item is the tots with bacon and cheese. The bacon is cut way too big and the tots are too salty.

Melissa Z.

Yelp
This place is very average. I came here from Torchy's because I wanted to try something new and was so disappointed. I feel like the pictures and advertising was just so good and the chicken was actually so lackluster. They have a wide array of sauces, so of course I had to try a few. I got the ranch, honey mustard, hot bbq, and hot honey. The only good sauce was ranch. The honey mustard might as well have been regular mustard. The chicken tenders were not fat and meaty like I thought they would be, and looked like they came from the frozen aisle. The fries are thin and crispy if you like that kind. I also got a caesar salad wrap and it was so poorly wrapped it came undone within the first bite which was super frustrating and way too many croutons. This place has a lot of potential being that fried chicken sandwiches and tenders are so delicious if done right, but I wouldn't come back.

Alandra D.

Yelp
Let's start with the good. The size of filet is great and very crunchy. The wait time was not every long. All the veggies were very fresh. However the the breading on the chicken is very bland. And if you are going to specialize in chicken sandwiches you have to have a dredge for the chicken that's amazing. All in all I'm happy I tried it. But I probably wouldn't choose it again when I want a good chicken sandwich.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
I dropped in for something quick and fulfilling. This place is good. My honey hot chicken sandwich was so delicious. It wasn't hot but the honey taste was delicious. It was also a huge serving size. I got the mix 2 so I got tater tots and sweet potato waffle fries. I love this option because I can never decide between the two. I hope other places this up. I'm not from here but now I wish we had one of these back home. I would be a regular customer

Jeff F.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this restaurant considering who owns it, sadly I was a bit disappointed. The food is fine, both the chicken sandwich and the fries were hot and fresh, my biggest disappointment is the fact that it cost over $16 for a sandwich, fries and a drink! They really need to have meal option that puts the price point about $4 cheaper than what it is. There is no way I would come back here for lunch and spend that kind of money again for an average tasting chicken sandwich and basic french fries

William L.

Yelp
Great chicken. But I'm now 0-4 in trying to get a milkshake. The "machine is down" every time and this is across a several month time frame. Just take them off the menu.

Dawn C.

Yelp
GLUTEN-FREE fried chicken! BB's has gluten-free chicken dinners/strips, sweet potato waffle fries, and tons of tasty dipping sauces. The dunkers will scratch your fried chicken itch, but they are not that different in flavor or texture from the frozen make-at-home kind. The fries are with the trip!!! Very quick service. Parking is easy in the deck or surface lot.

Stephanie F.

Yelp
It's my 2nd time trying this place since it opened. Not sure why the chicken strips are so small; it's surely not reflected in the price. I paid $11 and some change for chicken strips that still had tendons intact, and sweet potato waffle fries that were salty. One major part that I can't leave out is the staff were freakin awesome and aided in the rating being bumped up to 3.

Valerie V.

Yelp
Food was very good. I opted for the classic sandwich and it didn't disappoint. Crunchy on the outside and tender inside. Thick and crispy pickles, toasted locally made bun, shredded lettuce and Dukes mayo. I opted for the sweet potato waffle fries as a side. Also great! I didn't have room for a milkshake but maybe next time!

Kierstyn M.

Yelp
I went here twice in one week. Once with the BF and once with some work friends. The first visit, I ordered chicken tenders, the chicken ceasar wrap, and the triple play. It did take a hot minute for our food to come out, I watched multiple people who ordered after us get their food. When the food came out, we received apologies from the gentleman when he dropped our food off. It wasn't until a few minutes later I realized the triple play didn't have the cheese curds advertised, they swapped them with tater tots. While this isn't a huge deal to me, I would rather have been notified of the change rather than it just being made without my knowledge. The ceasar wrap was crisp, my boyfriend stated he really enjoyed it. The tenders were extremely crispy and served hot, definitely not a bad tender! On my second visit I ordered the triple play again, a classic chicken sandwich, and a vanilla milkshake. I'm convinced BB's is competing with Cook Out for the thickest milkshake because it was thick! Very good milkshake for you to dip your French fries in! The batter of the chicken sandwich was light and crunchy as well. Overall, and excellent chicken sandwich! I thoroughly enjoy the outdoor seating that they offer and it's in a very cozy area. Plenty of indoor seating as well for you to choose from. I really enjoyed my visit to BB's and will definitely be returning in the future.

Andrew N.

Yelp
Definitely a good place to go if you want fried chicken on a Sunday! Really enjoyed their options, tried their cheese curds, and their Nashville hot chicken. The cheese curds were fried to perfection, I have never had any cheese curds like that. And my spice tolerance is pretty high, so I found that the Nashville was mild for my tastebuds, but your mileage may vary. The service was wonderful and I really enjoyed the environment that they've built. Very casual place to grab a meal would recommend anyone looking for chicken that is getting a little tired of Chick-fil-A and wanting a little bit of a switch up!

Marie B.

Yelp
I got the fries and chicken sandwich with a side of cheese "sauce". Honestly the cheese was atrocious it was extremely loose and left a chalky taste . The limeade (not pictured) was also nasty . I got a honey "hot" sandwich and there was no spice. The fries were the best part of the A LA CARTE meal because they taste like McDonald's. The chicken sandwich was ok , everything together was $18 I'll probably won't return.

Mike B.

Yelp
Decided to brave the crowds and give this new place a try. There were only about 10 in line on a Sunday afternoon, so not too long of a wait. It's a square room with at least 25 tables plus stool seating around the perimeter. Plus 8 tables on the sidewalk outside. The shop is new so everything is shiny, bright and clean. You order at the counter, food is brought to the table. It took about 10 minutes for the food to be served. Tried the BB's Pick and Pimento Please chicken sandwiches and the triple play sides (fries, sweet potato fries, cheese curds). Each sandwich is served on a brioche bun. A boneless, skinless chicken breast is double batter-dipped and fried golden brown. True to the namesake - it is crunchy! Chicken is succulent - juicy, tender and perfectly cooked. The BB's Pick is just the chicken and pickle slices. The Pimento Please is slathered with creamy, tangy pimento cheese. Sandwiches are double the size of Chick-fil-A. Spices on the chicken less pronounced than CFA but definitely present. Of the 3 sides in the triple play, the fries are the star. Thin cut fries are brined in sea salt and then fried. They're nice and crunchy and the brine adds the right amount of saltiness. Sweet potato fries and cheese curds both good, but forgettable. Go with the fries. The food here is high quality and delicious; portions are generous. And it's pricey - $36 for 2. Even though they offer the same fare as Chick-fil-A, they're not really competing. BB's stretches the fast casual category... at this price point this should be a place offering full table service, IMO.

Yelp
The other night, I stopped in to have BB's crispy chicken. I've eaten here before, and it was pretty delicious the first time I went, so I had to try it again. I can't go a single review without talking about cheese, obviously, so this topic is extremely important. My first visit, I ordered their pimento crunch sandwich, which was their crispy chicken sandwich slathered with pimento cheese. This was so perfect, I couldn't ask for a better sandwich. I also ordered the fries, which were delicious. However, I don't have a picture, sadly. I ate my sandwich with their ranch dip, and it was amazing, I love when a restaurant has great dip options. BB's crispy chicken has all of the options you could ever want as a dip, which elevates your sandwich's flavor. My second time trying BB's was this week. I ordered the honey hot chicken sandwich. Boy was this sandwich good. I love honey on literally everything. Honey is sweet and delectable. This sauce on a crispy piece of chicken was absolutely amazing. It was like the glaze of honey bread on a savory chicken sandwich, but that's not the end. There was a great hot sauce that was added. This turned the sweet and savory, also spicy. BFFR. A triple flavor threat, if you ever ask me. The only reason I would give this a four, would be the sauce was a bit runny and my sandwich fell apart. But that's a me thing, my butterfingers accidentally broke my sandwich in half. Maybe that's not butterfingers, that hulk. Anyways, I had another great meal and time here at BB's, and I'll definitely be back soon.

Jeff S.

Yelp
This is a go to lunch spot for my wife and I. The chicken is fresh and tender, the fries are always hot and perfectly cooked, and the Caesar salad is incredible, which truly surprised me. I did not expect to love this place as much as we do. The one time we had an issue with an item in our order, they immediately remade it fresh and were very apologetic.

Anthony W.

Yelp
The quality is a little inconsistent but when it's good, it's really good! I don't know if they just don't measure anything but sometimes the food (nashville hot chicken) is overbearingly spicy and the fries are over seasoned (and I love salt) and other times it is normal. It is always good but they probably need more training and need to taste their own food while doing it. I also think they need to have dredged chicken options as the thin batter doesn't hold up in some cases and ends up soggy. None of these issues are big enough to remove a star, maybe 4.5.

Jacqueline F.

Yelp
Wasn't impressed. The chicken tasted funny to me...like it was cooked in old oil. The fries were good but not good enough for another visit.

Stacy A.

Yelp
Finally visited for lunch! It was late afternoon and I was the only customer when I walked in so the person who took my order was super attentive and kind and food came quick. I ordered the crispy chicken tenders, the 50/50 fries--half sweet potato fries and half regular fries--and then got the Texas BBQ and ranch sauces. The food was perfectly fine; nothing to complain about but also nothing at all to write home about. I didn't order any of their signature or super popular items so I could be missing out on some big flavors but I did enjoy everything and loved having the options for the sauces. I also especially appreciated the thick, sweet and tangy BBQ sauce! The ambiance was chill. While I was still there, a few other people came in but it's a great, spacious location with some cool wall vinyl. I definitely wouldn't mind popping in again for a quick lunch soon!

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
I really like the food options and all of the sauces! The chicken is delicious and tastes super high quality. I just can't come here often because I feel like it's too overpriced. I got a hot honey sandwich, reg sweet potatoes fries, and a drink and after a tip my total was $18.

Lucy D.

Yelp
I've been twice, and have nothing negative to say. Honestly very surprised by all the negative reviews. I wish I could give it a 4.5, because for a fast casual chicken sandwich place they're really good! The sweet potato fries are my favorite thing I've tried, they're crisp and come out hot. Most recently I had the deluxe sandwich, which comes with lettuce, tomato, onion and dijon. The chicken had a nice fried outside and was juicy on the inside. We tried the yum yum sauce, which was great with the chicken. They have a lot of different sauces, so definitely look at those options. Would also add the staff is friendly, and the space is kept clean.

Stephanie J.

Yelp
I waited to try this spot to avoid a line since it was hyped up. It was the classic chicken sandwich for me, the BBQ cheddar chicken sandwich for my mom and we split an order of fries. We also tried a few dipping sauces: honey mustard, BBQ and yum yum. The sandwiches were both good but the fries and dipping sauces were lacking. It was a just okay experience for me.

Michael B.

Yelp
This is a chicken place. I have been to some of the chef's other chicken places, and I am not sure what to say other than, this place might just be overrated. There was nothing that made me say WOW, OMG, WTF, or anything. I was just eating a chicken sandwich. I am not even going to say the experience was all that either. Overall, I would say I was eating a really expensive Popeye's (you thought I was going to say CFA didn't ya) chicken sandwich with some ridiculously prices fries. #470

Jamie C.

Yelp
me and my partner always come to bbs when we are in the area, it's one of our favorite places to eat. Cheddar Mayo and YumYum Sauce is our go to with any meal, but all the sauces are amazing.

Kendace W.

Yelp
If you don't like seasoned food, this is the perfect place for you! My mother and I had the classic sandwhichs and they tasted like nothing. The tater tots were ok. The staff was ok. It's very likely we won't visit again.

Tom D.

Yelp
Like many, I was very excited to visit this new AC venture, and expectations were pretty high. The experience overall was mixed. The TL;DR is it's an expensive fast food restaurant that is still working out the kinks and may need to revisit some recipes. Food is not being made to order and their timing is off (cold food). Here's the breakdown... PROS - Food came out super fast - Chicken breading/batter was crispy - Cheese curds were excellent - Vanilla milkshake was solid - Bread was the star of the sandwich CONS - Food came out fast, but was barely warm - Sea-salt french fries literally had no salt on them, see the photo, find the salt for me. - Chicken breading/batter lacked flavor. It seems it was designed to be drenched in a sauce. - Chicken meat was dry

Maddi S.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I tried this place and we weren't impressed unfortunately. The menu is really pricey for chicken sandwiches and our meals lacked flavor. Food -- I got the Classic and my boyfriend got the Green Jalapeño. We also got the Triple Play (fries, sweet potato fries, and cheese curds) to share. My sandwich was really bland, which was surprising and disappointing. The chicken also tasted undercooked on one side so I stopped eating it. My boyfriend said his sandwich had zero spice (despite it being on the spicy menu) and lacked flavor. He also said his tasted undercooked on the thicker side. The fries and stuff were good but overpriced. Thin, basic French fries made up 50% of the side, sweet potato fries around 30% and cheese curds around 20%. A bit disappointing for a $10 side... which is 2x the cost of the 50/50 option. Service -- The workers were nice but this place does counter service so it's not a huge part of the experience. I will say, the cashier didn't tell us we could get a free sauce with each sandwich until I asked. And then when we ordered the Triple Play we had to ask again if that came with a sauce or not. It's a minor thing but a little annoying considering each sauce is normally $0.50 for a very small cup.

Cameron K.

Yelp
Fine food but the app is broken. I refuse to do business here until the online ordering feature is operational. Both the website and app do not work. Pitiful.

Jim S.

Yelp
Truly disappointing korean barbecue chicken. We have soos on capital to show what korean BBQ is supposed to taste like. It is crispy it is sweet and extraordinary. This stuff is soggy not sweet rather like cocktail sauce ever chicken. The other sandwiches simply don't measure up to the hype that was expected for this place

alan c.

Yelp
I started working in the area a couple months ago & have been wanting to try it. I got the Korean Crispy Chicken meal & it was absolutely GREAT! Needless to say I'm stuffed!

Cliff C.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place. Food was really good. I got the Nashville Hot. And the fried cheese. Great staff. The sandwich was not as big I thought it would be. But it was good. Go try it out. Sit outside

Brian F.

Yelp
Did not measure up. The chicken was flavorless, overcooked, and greasy, nothing even average about it. The "yum yum" sauce was sour and there's too much mustard in the honey mustard, it's far more spicy with hardly any sweetness. There was not a single item which was acceptable. If you're a fan of Ashley Christensen, then you're probably in love with this place regardless. If you are coming in without having background, this is disappointing. Will try again later, willing to allow there are still bumps in the startup.

Charmaine M.

Yelp
IMO - this place is just OK. The line to wait was long but moving at a decent speed. My hot honey chicken sandwich was dry (as in the chicken), I also didn't really get the sense of the honey taste. I got one of their house made sauces for it (ranch).. definitely recommend a sauce - otherwise the sandwich would be way too dry. The sweet potato fries were good. Our order was to go and they initially left the cheese fries out the bag. When I went back inside to get them.. the problem was solved - but no apology was offered. I think it's worth mentioning the family before us also came back in saying food was left out of their bag as well. The cheese fries were decent at best. I was a little surprised that they were just fries with the cheap cheese sauce poured over 1/2 the portion given.

John W.

Yelp
I'm a long-time fan of Beaseley's so I was excited to hear BB's was coming. I had high hopes but, honestly, BB's really underperformed in several ways for me today. I also understand the cult following and this review may be blasphemy to several, if not many. Totally honest: this place is, at best, slightly better than average in "fast" food, worse than average in traffic management, and terrible at "fast." Starting with the line outside...we were in line about an hour. In the rain. Inside, where everyone else was dry and warm they had ONE order station going. That's it. About 75-100 totally people in line, most of whom were outside and one register. So, you're probably not at all surprised to hear me share that "Fast" has no place to be put on this establishment. It's not because they are skimping on wages for employees (a good thing). I have zero problem with paying employees in what's supposed to be a "fast" food restaurant more than $20/hour, but you expect more than you would at other fast food places when you know this. This place definitely isn't fast though; at least not on this day. Honestly, I don't care if they are paid $40/hour. I just want fast food to be fast and an hour long wait in the rain because they had only one register open is just not acceptable. Especially when they default to asking you to tip during payment...at a fast food restaurant. Food: I ordered each sandwich type to try, as well as strips, a Triple Play, and a coleslaw. The food was pretty good but it wasn't anywhere near Beasley's good. Probably a little better than CfA, but not by much and CfA is the king of FAST food. The a Triple Play was good but the sweet potato waffle fries were kind of not fresh from the onset and the curds were a bit too much coating and little cheese. The fries, however, were very tasty. The sad little coleslaw may as well have been a free sample as it was basically only half full. It was not really that good either as far as coleslaw goes. Totally onboard with a no mayo slaw but this just has an odd taste and I don't think it is from the pickling. Anyway, to say I was underwhelmed with my first visit here would be completely spot on. I'll wait a few weeks and give them another go but won't be back again if things don't improve on that visit.

Yelp
I came here for the first time last Thursday. The cashier was nice and the food came out hot. The fries were a little salty but I didn't mind. I ordered the Caesar salad (thinking it was a side- it was not, lol), the spicy chicken sandwich and fries. I can't remember exactly the name of the sandwich but it was a little spicy. Not too bad. The chicken lacked flavor but the ranch and sauce were delicious!! My friend said the grilled chicken is better so next time I will try the grilled chicken instead of the fried.

Yelp
The line on opening day was long but worth the wait. The menu has a variety of fried chicken sandwiches including milk shakes, fries, salads, wraps, and tons of sauces. We ordered the BB's pick (pickles and fried chicken), BB's classic, and the white hot buffalo sandwich. Along with that we also ordered the 50/50 item that included sweet potatoes and crunchy cheese curds with a soda. Everything was delicious and quite crispy. The batter is very different and is super crunchy! We enjoyed all the items we ordered and plan to come back in the future. There is indoor and outdoor seating and there is parking all over the area including a garage. Great location!

Yelp
The Raleigh location is located in Midtown East right next to Wegmans, Torchy's and Crumbl. On the menu is a variety of sandwiches, salads, sides, milkshakes but highlighted by the fried chicken sandwich which comes in a basic (BB's Pick), Classic (Dukes Mayo and lettuce) and a Deluxe (add tomato and onion). I settled for the Classic sandwich. For sides I got a 50/50 mix of sweet potato waffle fries and cheese curds. Each sandwich comes with a sauce selection which was honestly a little overwhelming as a first time visitor not knowing what to pick but tempting to come back to try some other ones? The classic sandwich was solid, better than Chick-Fil-A but also not the best chicken sandwich I've ever had (that distinction goes to Boxcar Betty's in Charleston). However definitely a solid option that I would revisit. The sauce that I picked (smoky bbq) wasn't the greatest pair so I will definitely come back with another option which may change my opinion. The cheese curds were great! I look forward to trying the BBQ Cheddar sandwich and a milkshake next time. PS: will be curious to hear which chicken sandwich people prefer - BB's or Wilson's just up the road

Yelp
I heard and seen about this place so I had to check it out for myself. I walked in and ordered from the counter.I got the scorpion red hot chicken sandwich , which is there highest heat level and some sweet potato fries regular size. Got me a letter to take to my table and waited for the food. The waffle sweet potato fries were good but had salt on them. The sandwich heat level was perfect for me. It was pretty hot but not Nashville hot. The only few takeaways from this place is I wish the bun was more bigger because my sandwich and bun was just falling apart as soon as you bite into it. Also the prices is a little on the high side came to $14 and some change for just a sandwich and fries.

Yelp
Love having an AC fast casual option! The Hot Honey was the perfect amount of sweet and spicy. We also got the 50/50 sides of sweet potato waffle fries and crunchy cheese curds, both were delish!

Yelp
The white hot Buffalo chicken is nice n crispy and spicy- has a good crunch to it- and the slaw is the perfect side with it. I really liked the green jalapeño sauce (one sauce can be added free).

Yelp
The food here was straight. I've been twice and ordered to go both times. I've tried the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich, sweet potato fries and sweet tea. The sweet potato fries were sooo crispy that they were hard to enjoy & the ones I did eat didn't have much of the flavor anymore. The chicken sandwich was good with a lil' kick but I would have preferred it to be spicier. I mean, I would eat here again but it's not on my list of favorites. The first time I had a salad & it was cool. Not sure how the service and inside space was as the food was picked up and brought to me. Oh yeah, the prices are def steep! My husband said the food isn't worth the price.
