Absolutely fabulous everything: service, ambience, and of course food. Very pleasurable dining experience. My medium rare steak was absolutely perfectly done. The cheesecake was perfectly smooth and rich but not overly sweet. Crab cakes were meaty. I am already looking forward to returning! 👌🏼

We’ve been here a few times, we LOVE the place! Food is reasonably priced and delicious! This pasta was my favorite of all the times I’ve come! Highly recommend this place if you want a delicious dinner, many options, and good prices!

Great place! Food, service and lively atmosphere, all spectacular! Our group ordered, the crispy crab cakes, chicken mediterranean salad, prosciutto & warm goat cheese salad, fried green tomatoe BLT, and a stuffed mozzarella bruschetta (which was like nothing I’ve had before!) All very good. Waitstaff was super nice, quick and attentive. Plenty of parking too.

We came to BB’s and it was the best find in Jacksonville. The food was incredible. We had the bistro steak with fries 10/10 and their main entree Salmon. Wow to say the least. The flavors were incredible. We both had a drink and they were really good.

Pizza 100/10! Drinks 10/10. Stayed outside but we will try the inside next time!! The pizza and drinks were so good and we will definitely come back! Be careful of the pepper flake! The heat unit in it is high.

When I tell you that our meal was the most pleasant surprises I’ve had in awhile, I mean it!! My husband and I were BEYOND impressed!! Every single bite was uniquely flavored and 10/10! From the calamari, the hash, and the pancakes, to the rotisserie turkey and the fries (requested extra crispy) with dipping sauces, everything was amazing!!! One of the best all around meals and dining experiences we’ve had recently! Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back!! (Especially for the calamari!!!) and Kate was our server, so ask for her! :)

We had a great experience here for my birthday lunch. As an appetizer we got the pizza. My daughter got the open faced crab cake sandwich I got the grilled fish BLT and my husband got the Mediterranean salad. At the end of the meal we all shared one of their delicious pieces of raspberry and white chocolate cake.

The pizza was definitely my favorite—it was so good! Everything I ordered tasted great. I got a small calamari salad, but the portion was way bigger than I expected. I also grabbed two slices of cake (not pictured), and they were delicious—not too sweet. My only complaint is that they sat us by the bar on a busy night. Someone did offer to move us, which I appreciated. The service was very good.

I FINALLY came to BB's for brunch and loved every minute. What a cute spot, I don't know how I never made it before! First of all, they had popovers, which is one of my favorite things ever - and they were GOOD. I tried the big wedge salad and soup and it was excellent. The steak and eggs and special of the day omelette were also incredible. Everything was well seasoned and cooked perfectly, which is a big deal. I had a paper plane cocktail and it was *chefs kiss*. Our server was on her game and did a great job throughout our meal. We ordered some dessert to go and it was a really fun brunch. I'm looking forward to the next time I get to eat here!

I haven't been back to Bb's for several years because I wasn't impressed the first time I came... but boy was I wrong! Their lunch was spectacular! And Jamie was the best server I have had in a really long time. She was attentive but not overbearing. Always around when we needed something. The ambiance was terrific but I think the tables were a little too close together.... The calamari was on point! So tender and juicy and the sauce was so so delicious, had a hint of curry. The shrimp and grits was orgasmic.... I usually love my grits with lots of cheese, but this dish came with a creamy tomato sauce on the outside that paired so perfectly with the grits it doesn't even need cheese! It also had a delicious tomato jam with it. Unfortunately this dish is only available on Wednesday The steak lunch was kinda chewy but good flavor. The only downside to the menu would be that it has only apps, pizza, sandwiches and salads. I would like to see more entrees!

A really lovely time at BB's with my girlfriends last week. The restaurant was nice and cozy, with plenty of room between parties and not too loud. Our server was prompt and checked on us frequently. I had the vodka arrabiatta with shrimp and scallops and could have licked the plate clean the sauce was so good, and the scallops were perfectly cooked. Lastly we got some cakes to go on my friend's recommendation and were given some HUGE slices that are sure to last me the next few days. So glad to have discovered this great restaurant in San Marco!

I came here with a food tour through Jax Tours. Our final stop and grand finale at BB's completely blew me away. We started with warm, perfect popovers and honey butter (honestly life-changing). Then came a chef's tasting featuring salmon dip with veggies and house-made chips, Brussels sprouts, and a shrimp lollipop--every single item was outstanding. Dessert was their croissant bread pudding with vanilla ice cream, which truly was the icing on the cake.

We loved everything about bb's. The staff, the incredible food, the bread service (!), the 1/2 priced wine on Mondays! And then there was the pork chop!!!We have been ruined, there is no chop anywhere that can measure up to this one. Incredible flavor, perfectly paired sides!!

We landed at bb's because, well, it was open at the inconvenient time of day we were wanting a meal. Staff: Nice and pleasant. Our waitress did not communicate that they only have canned soda and charge $3.50 per can. She served them in a glass as if it was fountain soda and brought out a half-already poured can when my husband asked for a refill. We would've gotten water before paying $10.50 for 3 diet cokes had we known. Ambiance: It is a loud, cramped place. It hopping and they are doing a great business. It feels like a diner with dark decor and 90's fonts. Cleanliness: The table and restaurant looked clean with silverware looking dingy but clean. The restroom - hold it, DON'T GO. The toilet paper is on a free-standing holder with storage for extra toilet paper at the bottom. This was stuffed with dirty diapers - so your toilet paper is falling into or setting in fecal matter before you've used it. Food: nice presentation Beverages - Besides my warning above, this establishment does not have sweet tea, which I imagine many people in the region would enjoy. Stuffed bruschetta - an extra toasty small baguette sliced and inserted with 3 slices of mozzarella. Every piece of bread does not have cheese. It was difficult to scoop the tomato onto your piece of bread and there was no balsamic. Stuffed French Toast - it has a warm blueberry cream cheese in it, which somehow was flavorless. You will need the syrup if you want it a bit sweet. Chicken and Waffles - not going to lie, I was concerned how this would be when they didn't have sweet tea. It also looked lovely but the breading had no flavor.

Visited BBs recently for dinner. I have only been there for lunch and brunch prior. Somehow the decor really works at night. The lighting makes it elegant and even though the restaurant was really crowded, we felt a bit of privacy at our table. Dinner comes with bread. Baked very well but it's a bit sweet. We had the calamari and mozzarella bruschetta for appetizers. Both were stellar. The calamari there has an Asian twist but is so good. Crispy, fresh, delicious. They never skimp on cheese when it's with any dish. My main was a special Asian Fish dish that our waitress recommended. It was excellent as well. For dessert, I had the carrot cake. Really large slice, elegant, moist, delicious. Just a great dinner experience at BBs. We'll be back.

My husband and I came here for an early 11th anniversary dinner. We have been here before to pick up dessert and it's small but nice. Service was the best and the food was amazing! We had crab cakes which is some of the best I've had in Jacksonville. I got the White Truffle pizza and husband got the Asian Chop Chop salad. Very fresh ingredients and full of flavor! Menu is limited but they are known for their desserts and the triple chocolate cake and red velvet cheesecake cake did not disappoint. I love the little lamps on the table too. Made it intimate. Will be coming back more often!

I came in for brunch on a Sunday. I sat pretty quickly, as I was solo and the bar was fairly open. The bartender was really nice, despite being slammed. I appreciate him. I ordered the shrimp lollipops for my appetizer and the steak bistro sandwich as my entree. I had a couple of mimosas along the way. The shrimp lollipops were a fun concept, but they were pretty hard. Seemed like the were maybe overdone. And I don't know if the 4 little balls are worth $19. The steak sandwich was okay. Just very okay. Steak was a bit chewy, flavor wasn't anything excited. Way too much bread:meat ratio. It was decent, edible. The mimosas were fantastic! Probably the most solid part of the meal. Overall, I don't feel like the amount or the quality of the food were worth the $65. I may be back for dinner as I do remember enjoying that previously, but brunch here just doesn't seem like the move.

This has been a staple in Jacksonville for quite some time. If you're thinking of a place to meet with friends for brunch or some dessert and coffee, or even wine, this is a sure thing. The setting is welcoming and open. I believe it's a sister restaurant to Biscotti's and they carry the same scrumptious dessert options that are to die for my favorite is the carrot cake! If you're looking for a reliable spot with consistent quality, and professional staff, I would recommend BBs.

Ok ok ok. We came for lunch, unknowingly. Now, I've been to BBs before, never during lunch though. Let me tell you, the drinks were drinking and the food was fooding. You're probably wondering what this picture is. Well let me divulge; pictured below would be a demolished fish BLT (fish of the day was red snapper). It didn't last long enough for me to get a better picture. The BF said, and I quote, "whoever made this sandwich needs BTA because it's so good!". Now I know you're questioning, BTA, what does that mean? Well it means belt to ssa. That means that the sandwich was so delicious, whoever made it needs a spanking! And yes, we told our waitress to inform the person responsible for this perfection, that they need a spanking for this sandwich being so dang good. Let's discuss the shots we ordered. The bartender knew what they were doing and I am def not upset! 10/10 recommend.

Visited on Sunday morning for a brunch with our family of five around 11:15. The restaurant was about half full with plenty of open tables. The popovers were okay but needed like a sweeter butter because they were bland. Overall our meals were pretty good but there weren't a ton of vegetarian options. Our server was very rude and slow and the food took a very long to get to us.

The food was really good and tasty. The cake is the best. The charcuterie board was an outstanding touch. The food took a long time to come out I'm not sure if they were short staffed but the restaurant was not full. The vibe would be better if the tables were spaced out more.

BB's is a STAPLE in my visits to Jacksonville. I don't believe I've ever had a dish here that was not well worth it. Everything is amazing! The staff is super nice and accommodating. The overall feel of the restaurant is inviting. Though this restaurant does get busy for brunch and dinner, there are pockets of times in which the crowds slow. In my most recent visit to BB's, I attended brunch for a friend's birthday around midday and the restaurant was not packed at all. In fact, there was still parking in their main lot - which is not always the case when I visit. I usually park across the street in the secondary lot or I carpool. However, we got to enjoy the best of both worlds, brunch and lunch, without the usual bustle of the crowd that usually comes on weekends. As for the food, I had their pancakes - which were super tasty and filling. My friend gave me her eggs - which I will admit I didn't care for. They needed some extra seasoning - so I made due with salt and pepper to spice them up a bit. I paired everything with a glass of Prosecco! All in all, the brunch was great! My friend got treated with a sweet treat for her birthday and we also shared and toasted with a birthday shot! Price points are reasonable. Some items do get a bit pricey but for the most part, there's numerous items on the menu that are affordable. I'll definitely be back. As I visit each time I visit Jacksonville. I also recommend to anyone I know visiting Jacksonville. BB's is really a great spot!! Can't wait to go again in the near future.

Grilled salmon salad is the best in town! Very large portion but extremely tasty! I only made it half way through the salad before calling it a quits but it was absolutely delicious and nicely executed. For an appetizer, my friend and I got the salmon dip and shrimp lollipops. The server made every recommendation and we loved it all! Service was fast when we when for lunch during the weekday in the afternoon. You can make a reservation quickly online.

Birthday celebration for our daughter was wonderful. I was glad to have made a reservation ahead since the restaurant was surprisingly busy after 7pm on a Wednesday. Loved that we were seated at a round table to the side since some of the other tables inside are very close together. Our server was fantastic throughout our evening. The popovers offered before our food were slightly sweet and tasty. Our group enjoyed the bruschetta and calamari appetizers, a few cocktails, each of the entrees, and a couple of their amazing desserts. My wedge salad was delicious with their homemade blue cheese and perfectly cooked steak. The candle and Happy Birthday message on my daughter's cake slice selection was a lovely way to finish our evening.

Beautiful and elegant downtown restaurant with delicious dishes, delectable deserts, and darling staff. Would totally return!

Great food, decadent desserts, street parking. The service was excellent, and the place was crowded with people enjoying wonderful dishes. The ambience seemed upscale. I particularly enjoyed seeing the dessert displayed in the glass refrigerated cabinets. I also admire the presentation of the dishes. This restaurant is nice for a date night out.

Fantastic food Super service. From the maitr 'd to the waiter to the dessert concierge, great knowledge and genuinely happy in their roles. Table for a party of 8 was ready as we entered on time, together to a full room. Spectacular Thanks for a wonderful holiday-finale meal and experience

Went to BB's for dinner with a friend. I was excited to try this restaurant. In fact, I had a hard time deciding what to order. We were there at the end of happy hour. It was bustling and kind of loud. My friend enjoyed her drink, called The End. The blackberry sangria was just okay to me. We shared the salmon dip as an appetizer. Very tasty! My friend ordered the chop chop salad, which had salad, noodles and an Asian dressing. She seemed to like it. I had a fried green tomato sandwich with bacon added. The sandwich was okay. I think the tomato needed seasoning but I really enjoyed the side Caesar salad. The desserts all looked amazing, but I settled on the croissant bread pudding, which was the highlight of my meal. Overall, I enjoyed myself and would go back, especially for dessert! The waitress was very helpful and accommodating.

I really don't get the hype, we ordered off the $40 per person menu. We ordered the soup and salad to start and 3 out of the 4 entrees listed and two different desserts. The soup and salad were great! Then came the entrees all were not that good my whole fried pompano had no flavor and seemed overcooked with old oil. The pork chop was tender but the sides weren't good. And the crispy chicken not tender and no flavor. The bread pudding was on the sweet side and so was the white chocolate raspberry cake, I guess if you like really sweet things you may love the dessert. But the biggest letdown was def all the entrees. 3 stars cause it started off strong and the service was great! For $120 plus tip and tax the entrees needed to be better

One thing is for sure... make a reservation. I did not have one, but thankfully there were enough free seats at the bar to make the visit possible. The bar is not that big, so don't rely on getting that lucky. The place itself is nice. Parking is easy. Service is super friendly and attentive. The grilled fish BLT - fresh daily choice fish, romaine lettuce, marinated tomatoes, roasted tomato-remoulade, applewood smoked bacon, was a nice option for dinner. I can't say I have seen something like it on a menu somewhere else! That, plus the meze platter with hummus - toasted naan, jalapeño chips, grilled baby carrots, green goddess, olive relish, was more than enough food. The side Caesar that the sandwich came with was great too. They had a good selection of canned local brews which was the perfect touch to an already wonderful experience here.

The desserts tonight we're outstanding as always! The salted caramel cheesecake was light and Jessica (I believe that was her name and Dwight dress who gave us the rundown of all the desserts was phenomenal! She truly represented BB and the most positive way. The blueberry cobbler that my friend had he loved it and my other friend said that the in-season blueberry cake was moist and very light. The German chocolate cake looked outstanding and must've been good because this 9 year young lady ate 90% of it! Overall, it was great. The atmosphere was inviting. (The table next to us was exceptionally loud, but that's OK.) love the lighting.

More than just a groovy place to b - it's an escape to the finest dining and bar in downtown Jacksonville!! Yeah ambience was super cool but let's get to the food. Ooh my dear Lord 100% mouthwatering, super fresh homemade exceptional. Chefs kiss for sure!!!! Stoped in to try the dessert was Immediately transported to New Orleans. The bread pudding was crazy delicious, hot and the ice cream cold, what an experience I almost had one of those Harry met Sally moments‍. The service was amazing, the best from stepping inside, immediately seated to having the BEST SERVER!!! A Must Have Experience!! Yes indeed, I'm coming back today Fabulous prices too!!! Thank you so much bb's - no doubt a very cool place.

Visited for a birthday celebration. The ambiance and atmosphere is a 10/10. The staff super friendly. Upon making the reservation the manager called and confirmed and she was super helpful and friendly. They have the best service ever. The food was ok but drinks were great. I will go again and I recommend.

The bar/restaurant is located downtown close to River walk. It is nice lively place. The host was welcoming and patient. The margaritas were delicious and tasty. I ordered two. The steak was and mashed potatoes were good. It was more food than plate. This is nice place for drinks and social time.

I did take out. Service was ok. While there, I ordered an Aperol spritz which tasted like seltzer water. They were kind enough to take it off my tab. I also ordered the crab cakes and received only one when the order includes two. The system won't let me upload a pic.

I haven't been back to the restaurant since my original post and that is because they still have 22 health code violations. Since December of 2023 they have only met standards three times. All the rest have been in the "needs follow up" category. I'm perplexed that the inspectors all this business to stay open when they can't meet health code requirements. Seven months ago they had 27 violations and they've only changed 5? They need to be closed until they fix their problems.

Recently, we had lunch at BB's to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Even though it was a Saturday and they were hopping, we were seated immediately, which was a lovely surprise. The menu included not just their normal lunch selections, but also some brunch options. I ordered the Steak & Eggs (brunch selection) with my eggs "over medium." My daughter and DH both ordered the Bistro Steak Sandwich. All of our entrees were delicious and well presented. We opted for dessert as well, since we were celebrating a birthday! We ordered three for the table, to share. We ordered: Pink Champagne Cake, the Oreo Mousse Pie and a Chocolate Mousse Cake. The Pink Champagne Cake & the Oreo Mousse Pie were the "winners!" All in all, a solid dining experience from this Jacksonville classic.

Delicious food! On the pricier side but you get unique dishes and high quality service for it. Halibut with lobster cream sauce was delicious. Filet mignon was cooked to perfection on the kitchen's second attempt haha. Scallops were also perfect, but I do wish they were served with alongside a more substantial starch - they were only served on a bed of spinach. Food does take a bit of time to come out, so I recommend allotting a good 1.5-2hrs to eat dinner here.

Downtowns slightly best kept secret! If we're going to the theater downtown, we always stop here for a great dinner before! It's such a cozy delightful charming environment. Great for lunch, date night or a great dinner. I've been here probably 11 times. I've never had a bad experience. The food is always on point, the service is good. And I just simply love the feel of the place inside. There's a quiet vibe of energy, but you can still hear each other talking. And the location is bar none if you're going downtown to do anything in the evening. They have a fabulous bar as well. This is my favorite dining established downtown other than the usual steakhouses. The menu explains itself. All I can tell you is that you will enjoy your experience here. I tried to make a reservation on Resy! But...reservations were not available, but they had a waitlist option on the app. And because of that we were able to walk right in when we got there. Park right at the restaurant. Walk right in. There's a separate bar area with bar tables and then a separate dining area. Can be casual or more dressy.

My husband and I went the night before Valentine's and this place deserves 100 stars. The service with Katie was amazing! The house managers checked on us at different times throughout the night. The food was so amazing from the bread to the gumbo to the short rib to their wide selection of cake. The ambiance is good, small and friendly. I am so happy we were able to try this place!

In Jacksonville Florida and friends suggested BB's for dinner. We found the restaurant to be fairly crowded on a Thursday night. BB's has a nice vibe and patrons appeared happy. We were quickly seated and scanned the menu. On our way up the coast, we decided appetizers would be perfect. The wait staff was very attentive and shared their favorites. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, crispy crab cakes and the duck wonton napolian. The fried green tomatoes and aioli had NO FLAVOR. The bacon was decent. The crab cakes contained very little filler, and were crisp but again, lacked flavor. The duck wonton was stacked like lasagna. It had green apple slices, caramelized onion, boursin cheese and a balsamic drizzle. It was ok. They are known for their huge pieces of cake that were flying out of the kitchen. I really wanted to like this neighborhood spot, but was unfortunately, disappointed. To be fair, I did not order off the main menu which seemed to make most of the restaurant patrons very happy. I don't feel the need to return.

Ambiance was very nice.. romantic... great for a date or night with friends/family. Staff was attentive and very nice. I did expect better for the food given the reviews but it was not as great as I had hoped. The white truffle pizza was good for the toppings but the crust was kind of stale. Like it wasn't crispy being it was thin like a flatbread. The calamari was all right too. Good but nothing special. I liked the Caesar salad and the rice balls were pretty good. Overall this isn't a bad place at all and a great place to dine!

One of the best dinner, including dessert, places in JAX. Cheese board was off the charts so was the pork chop. If you love cheese as much as I do, you most definitely need to try all the cheeses, hehe. The vibe in this place is very cool so is the staff. Lastly their homemade cakes are just off the charts. If you are a sweet tooth they are a must-try!

Very impressed. The stuffed mozzarella bruschetta is absolutely delicious starter. Thick warm cheese stuff inside bread with lots of garlic, tomato's and pine nuts on top. Shared the lunch special of flank steak with broccolini and potato fingerlings. Steak was topped with a tasty chimichurri sauce and the sides seasoned to perfection. Wheatyn was an excellent server. She had our split meal brought on 2 separate plates. Made sharing not a hassle. Very attentive. Had been wanting to try this restaurant for years. Glad I did. Recommended!

I love everything about BB's! We received outstanding service during this visit and our food was amazing. I ordered the Mediterranean chicken salad, which was very filling and flavorful. We also really enjoyed the Brussel sprouts, as the sauce on top really kicked them up a notch. This is a really nice spot for a date night or group outing. Definitely was a nice vibe in the space. The bartender also served us very well with a nice spin on the whiskey sour. Seriously one of the best cocktails I've had. Definitely making a visit back soon.

I have dined at BB's periodically for over a decade. Although I have always enjoyed it, the food has been exceptional during my recent visits (all during lunch). The menu is vast, with both the brunch and main menus being available during weekend daytime hours. Lately I have been hooked on the fish and grits, which consists of the blackened catch of the day (most recently it was a delicious corvina) topped with a bacon marmalade (with legitimate chunks of bacon), cheese grits, and fried green tomatoes - this item is fantastic. BB's is no secret in Jacksonville but reservations are attainable - I would suggest calling even if no slots appear available online. The restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is vibrant, and the service is kind and patient. BB's is my go-to spot whenever I am in the area.

Delicious. I got the halibut, amazing. First time ever trying halibut. It's a yes for me. The sauce that the veggies were in was decadent. If you're in the mood for fish- get it. You won't regret it.

I have been going to BB's since I was a boarding student at Bolles back in 2004. This is by far my favorite restaurant in town. The atmosphere is upscale industrial. It feels like you are in a much bigger city than Jax. The calamari is a must have there. I wish they still did it in the shell because it was perfect for finishing up the amazing tangerine cream sauce until forgive them! Haha. Service has always been great as well. The last time I was in Jax i had the Ribeye special. It was incredible. Can't wait to go back on our next trip to Jax.

This was a great spot for a bite and a drink. It was very crowded when I arrived around 7pm on a Monday. That was a hint this is a popular spot. I sat at the bar to get a seat. The menu had lots of choices and the wine selection was large. They have a well stocked bar and the bartenders were very busy making all manner of cocktails. I ordered a jambalaya pizza and an old fashioned. Both were amazingly good. The decor was modern and comfortable. It was a little loud but that was mostly because the space is tight and was full. Bree the bartender who took care of me was friendly and efficient. Overall a great meal and experience. Make sure you try this place

Decided to stop for drinks and appetizers. Don't let the exterior deceive you, this place is a hidden gem. From the amazing staff to the crafted cocktails with wonderful bites......this place is. Amidst stop and enjoy. And don't forget the desserts!!!!!!! B

This is a cute, contemporary little restaurant with friendly servers, solid food, and a large selection of desserts. Usually at restaurants you might have 3-5 choices but I think there were at least 12 ( including many types of delicious cakes). We came later in the evening for appetizers and drinks. There are two sections, a bar area with table seating, and a dining area. There is a large wine and drink selection. Waiter was extremely attentive. The crispy Brussels had an Asian flavor and the dish was plentiful-to me it was entree sized. We got fresh popovers with our Brussels. When I asked about desserts, the waiter pointed to the case and rattled off all of the numerous desserts. We opted for bread pudding, that was heated and served with vanilla ice cream. Yummy. When in Jax again, we will have to go back to BB's
