Food was so good. No overcooked seafood, amazing flavor. My mom and I got 2 clusters of snow crab and 1 lb of shrimp and the all season-spicy. LITERALLY SOME OF THE BEST SEAFOOD IVE HAD. Carrie let us have a sample of the crawfish before we set our official flavor. Carries service was amazing. She made us feel so comfortable and like we were being served in our own home. I didn't feel as if she was just "on" for her tables. I genuinely felt like a friend. She went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience. The ambiance of the place is adorable and kind of like a higher class dive bar. With all the decor and artwork it was very interesting to peak around at everything.

I'm so sorry. I absolutely love BB's Seafood at almost any other location but this one. Unfortunately tried this location yesterday after the ballet downtown. It was literally crawling with black flies! And there were fly traps propped up on the window ledges that were black with dead flies. How does the health department allow this place to stay open. And to make matters worse the service was sub par. Seriously how long does it take to bring water to the table!? Thanks but I will visit another location. Stay away from this place!!!!

The food was terrible. I ordered a shrimp and crab boil and my cousin had something I can't remember because it looked horrible. They didn't clean the poop from the shrimp - what? So nasty. The fried pickles were crispy like chips which was really weird, and super salty. The weirdest thing that I experienced was the red beans and chips. What? The waitress didn't want to be there. The patio had flies everywhere - no this isn't normal , I am always on a patio lol just no. Never again - not even for free.

Visited for the 5lb crawfish and was a bit disappointed. The crawfish were very dry with a bit of juice at the bottom of the bowl. They have nice sized crawfish but they mainly tasted of seasoning so I couldn't really enjoy them like so wanted. The corn was good though. I also loved the flavor of the daiquiri and how it wasn't to sweet.

I had never been here before but I came to Yelp Looking for an eggs Benedict and decided to check it out. I ended up getting boudin balls and the Cajun egg Benedict. The boudin was decent but I was not a fan of the eggs Benedict. The eggs were over cooked and the flavor just wasn't there. The place has nice New Orleans decor and the service was good too. The food just didn't deliver for me

I know a little about Cajun/Creole Cuisine, having tried many restaurants in La,Nola. We came here for a birthday lunch for my wife. She made the pick. Coincidentally, BB's is running a HRW menu for both lunch and dinner. The location is in the heart of the old Westheimer/Montrose area. It is located in a strip center. Parking is decent. Upon walking in, there was a sign stating please sit yourself. We were greeted right away by a gentlemen named Johnquis. He asked if it was our first visit and explained the HRW promo for lunch. He got our drink order as well. I went ahead and went with the lunch hrw, which gave plenty of choices for 3 courses. I chose the shrimp gumbo, cajun empanadas, and the shrimp po-boy. My wife went with the fried seafood platter lunch portion. Gumbo was good but not great. I felt the roux should have been thicker and darker as well as a little spicier. It did come with white rice in it already. The cajun empanadas were delicious and portioned a little on the heavy side at 5. I would describe them as having a creamy crawfish filling. It had a slight kick to it. My final course was the shrimp po-boy, and it was outstanding. It came with shoestring fries and remoulade dressing along with fried shrimp, tail off, shredded lettuce, and tomatoes. My wife's platter came with 2 fried filets, shrimp, hushpuppies, and red beans and rice. It was well portioned for a lunch plate and had an excellent flavor. Surprisingly towards the end of our meal Johnquis presented a bread pudding to share. I am like, what's this for, and he said you guys are first-time guests! We indulged in it and was a little different than your typical bread pudding having a merengue topping on it drizzled with honey. Overall BB's is a good place to dine and will come again in the future.

One of my favorite seafood restaurant. Boiled crawfish are cheap here, catfish, crab, and You have to try grilled boudin Are amazing I'll be back Again soon and the staffs Are very friendly. I it here!!!

Oh! Such a nice evening at BB's. GREAT server and lovely service. My husband and I (kinda old folks) were welcomed kindly and in a very friendly manner. The fact that we were sharing an entree didn't bother our server; our food was served on two plates and well presented. Our server said "I'll bring the hush puppies in a minute; they're just coming out of the fryer." Food perfect!! Catfish and shrimp! Go to this place. Verrry worth it.

Usually a 5 star review for this place is in order....great food, great service, but our last visit was HORRID......the male wait staff was more interested in chir chatting with two tables of young women than in serving customers that usually tip 25 percent. We literally had to ask for refills of our drinks EVERY single time and he delivered our entree and salads at the exact same time. The "Alfredo" on my pasta was cool and tasted like watered downed shrimp broth.....seriously did not taste anything like the usual BB New Orleans...... I never send food back but did this time and got a salad instead and then had to ask for silverware and dressing ....unreal how preoccupied someone can get when they depend on serving folks to make money. I have not left a tip only twice in the past ten years or so and this was one of those times. Truly disappointing and the manager when we shared with him our concerns took over the table and gave us a coupon for free boudin balls.....SMDH...Really?

Stopped by for lunch today. We were greeted by a "seat yourself" sign. We sat ourselves and waited to be helped. Over 15 minutes waiting, someone in my party even attempted flagging down a server. We were never helped.

Very disappointing. I agree with another post where they make rules as they go along. Website says half off Happy Hour on some drinks and food until 6:30pm, including oysters. Arrived a little after 6:00pm and was told Happy Hour was over at 6:00pm. My guest and I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and one side which we choose dinner salad. Our order arrived with Rice! The kitchen staff should know the difference between Rice and Mashed potatoes. Our salads arrived next without dressing, waitress said they have blue cheese dressing. Which turned out to be an horrible oil based which blue cheese not even noticeable. When I viewed my bill, I noticed that I was charger Happy Hour price on my first beer, after questing the waitress, since she said Happy Hour was over at 6:00, she said drinks were good till 6:30. SO which is it? It seem like the entire kitchen staff and wait staff need more training.

Our friends had never had Cajun food, so we ordered takeout from BB's as a mini introduction. The restaurant advertises "traditional Southern Louisiana-style cooking fused with a Texas twist." The grub was consistently decent, if not amazing. The Boudin Balls were possibly our favorite bite: zesty and meaty sausage lightly fried and served with a creamy remoulade. The Red Beans and Rice were hearty and viscous, studded with chunks of salty sausage. The Crawfish Etouffee was likewise strong, with a flavorful and thick gravy that was plenty zippy with a touch of heat. Maw Maw's Gumbo with chicken and Andouille sausage was thin and watery but super dark like I like, leading to an earthy complexity. BB's seems to be a dependable local option for a taste of bayou country.

Good flavor and size, this location serves pretty fast. Definitely recommend going when there's a special by the lb, that's when you get your moneys worth!

Candice was a great server. She was also training another server. Both dishes, Shrimp and Grits and French Quarter plate were solid. Didn't care for the macaroni side but it wasn't bad, just too thin for my taste as I like thick. They brought us a new plate of rice and beans since the first attempt had some stale rice. They have decent HH drinks. Open till 3am, they're one of the better food options late.

Came here with two friends on a Wednesday evening for some crawfish. We got the three pound order twice for a total of six pounds! I also had a potato. We got the crawfish spiced the Tex-Orleans way, which is so flavorful you don't need to purchase additional sauces! Our first three pounds were pretty average but spicier than expected. Our second three pounds were huge, and by the time we got to them, we had gotten used to the spice, which I would say is pretty moderate! The potato was delicious, especially when you scooped up the additional crawfish sauce onto it. This place is fairly priced, not cheap but not too expensive either. We sat outside so service was slightly slow at times but overall not bad. They didn't have wipes for your hands so we had to walk inside to use the restrooms after. Still, glad we came!

BB's, I just want to wrap you up and put you in my pocket (because you're that good)! Recently I joined my buddies to celebrate a friend's birthday at BB's Tex-Orleans. The patio at the new location in Montrose was on point that night! My friend was able to bring his dogs on the patio to also celebrate their Daddy's special day. Service was excellent, and the food was perfect. We enjoyed scrumptious delicacies such as Catfish PoBoys, Maw Maw's homemade Gumbo, Fried Chicken & Greens Salad, and Texas Cajun Fries (which had this delighted country boy smiling ear to ear). But wait my fellow avid foodies, there's more! We served the birthday boy a delectable slice of Maw Maw's Bread Pudding as the entire patio joined us in singing "Happy Birthday." It was an amazing night. Thank you BB's for a stellar evening! Oh, and we may have had a cocktail (or two...or four) like their Texas Twister, South Texas Jazz, and Maw Maw's Bayou Tea. Note: I don't know who Maw Maw is, but bless your heart for for sharing your culinary skills and recipes. I'm only giving four stars due to the haphazard parking challenges that also cursed their previous location. I could go on, but get over there and see for yourself. Bon appetite!

The restaurant was decorated in true New Orleans style, just great. I would recommend this restaurant for great food, atmosphere, price, and service!

Yikes. I should've checked Yelp before coming here. It was a Wednesday which I expected to mean empty and fast service, but I was wrong. I sat there for over half an hour, waiting for a simple bowl of red beans and rice, while my companion received and finished her salad. The table next to me arrived before us and had been waiting even longer for their food. The place is tiny so, it appears packed but honestly it isn't. Things are just hectic and unorganized. After almost an hour, I asked to cancel my order and get the check. That's when I learned my food was "in the window." Apparently I could have been eating long before but it didn't matter, at that point I just wanted to leave. Also, there menu is very limited compared to other locations. Two stars because we were seated quickly and the fried pickles came out fast and hot. Other than that, I don't see the point in coming here again.

This establishment kinda gives NOLA a bad rep. They're mimicking the famous dishes in the most low budget way. Nothing there seems to be made from scratch except the salads, 1 empanada was hollow, the bread pudding mix went bad & the gumbo was weak.

Service is always good here. The food is consistent quality and value. Love that they are open late nights as an alternative for non breakfast food

I've driven past this place a million times and never knew it was there. Now that I know, I'll definitely be visiting often!! I had the shrimp and grits and I left not a single crumb behind. Very delicious and full of flavor. My husband had the French Quarter Plate and it was more than he could handle lol (leftovers )!! Couldn't give it 5 because the young lady who served us seemed like she wasn't have the greatest day and it was showing. Not enough to keep me away though!! Great food and absolutely worth checking out!!

I always come here pretty late at night, and I have never been disappointed. The food here is so good, and the people that I see working here are just so great and nice despite sometimes having to deal with some characters including me . My favorite thing is the Mama's shrimp and grits but other really good meals included the chicken and waffles, the Southern Man, which has fried catfish, and their crawfish boil is to die for. I also like the new decor!

It's been almost 30 days since I emailed Alyssa R. in customer service. Needless to say I will move forward with a complaint to BBB and a report to the health department with pictures, since I haven't heard from anyone.

I enjoyed my food in this traditional New Orleans place in Houston. A powerful Po' Boy with fried fried shrimp and Gumbo! The staff is friendly, bilingual and willing to help you with any questions.

I came in here on Sunday and it was not that busy. Crawfish season is pretty much over but they still had crawfish. The crawfish that I received were pretty small but the flavor was good and they were seasoned perfectly. They only had the field run crawfish and normally when I go to BBs they have some pretty large crawfish. This is one of my favorite places in Houston to get crawfish actually. They have all the fixings the corn, mushrooms and even edamame. The service was pretty good. It was one girl taking care of the whole dining room. She was very friendly to my daughter and I. If you like a smaller setting this is the perfect BBs for you. My baby girl enjoyed her macaroni and cheese and french fries as well. We will definitely be back.

A few friends and I were on the prowl for a late night bite after attending a comedy show and I am " Marissa The Midnight Munchies Maven" so all roads led to BB's Tex-Orleans after a bartender's recommendation for the Montrose area at Axelrod. We arrived after midnight and were seated outside. I love the cheesy New Orleans decor at BB's! It's gives what it's supposed to give. Nawlins baybeee ! We decided on our entrees and the waitress read the chef specials. I decided on the gumbo with chicken and shrimp, my friend decided on the shrimp and grits and the birthday girl had bread pudding. Our food came out and the presentation was good. Dining in Houston has been challenging but from my understanding, they have Cajun cuisine in a chokehold. My gumbo was excellent ! My friend's shrimp and grits made me want to order 2 entrees ! This is the first meal that I really enjoyed in Houston. The service was good, the prices were low and the quality of the food delivered. I will be back.

was really looking forward to their crawfis, it's normally sooooo good! but these past two times it's been trash. cooked well but with NO FLAVOR. When I asked for a side of the sauce, they gave me some water down vinaigrett. super disappointe, especially cause it was 5 lbs ... of bs

I don't know what was going on in that kitchen but waiting 30+ minutes for undercooked catfish was not the outcome I thought I was going to get. It was last at night, a little after midnight but if you close at 2/3 am in the morning your food should still be at least cooked until you close. I usually have good dine in experiences at BBs but I was disappointed in this. Your to-go food should still be of standard. Luckily I caught that it was undercooked the moment I broke a piece off, could've gotten food poisoning.

Very Consistent. Flavors are authentic southern. Service is hit or miss. Drinks are great. Usually playing Zydeco music which most people never hear because this is a loud room. To the uninitiated, this is a great Crawfish experience, I would recommend it to any first timer. As for veterans, you can get them pretty much any way you like.

I've been to BB's and overall I've had a decent experience there. Previously i've ordered their crawfish and their BB's tex-orleans spice was very good and flavorful on the crawfish. Today I ordered the boudin balls appetizer and I absolutely loved them. 10/10 I would recommend those. For my entree I ordered the crawfish etouffee and I did not like it. It tasted like a flour and butter gravy with a little bit of creole spice, and it was also bland. The portion was very small for the price of 9.39. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this dish. Overall, I would still come and try more dishes at this restaurant and our waitress was very kind and comped my return for the etouffee with no complaints! Staff was friendly and fast!

"I recently purchased 3 pounds of crawfish from BBS Tex Orleans, and I must say, I'm extremely disappointed. As a crawfish enthusiast, I was looking forward to enjoying my favorite food, but what I received was far from satisfactory. The crawfish were disgustingly soft, to the point where the meat fell out like slop when removing the tail. Additionally, the crawfish were super tiny. I couldn't even bring myself to eat them. Considering the $50.00 I spent, this was a huge letdown. If it weren't for my busy schedule, I would have returned them immediately. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this location in the future."

BB's is an AMAZING late night option in Montrose! They don't close until 4am, so it's become one of our go-to spots after a night out on Westheimer. Parking is limited and the whole place is quite small given it's right next to the gas station. Some of our favorites are the pickle chips, fried catfish and shrimp, and all of their po'boys. Food comes out fresh and fast every time, and the servers are very friendly. The only caveat is there are limited vegetarian options (ran into this when we brought some vegetarian friends), but that is probably more attributed to Cajun cuisine as a whole rather than BB's itself.

Go to late night spot. Closes late at 4am. Food is always great and fast. Go for the loaded pollo bullets with the extra Cajun cream sauce. Parking is survival of the fittest so please do not get towed and read the signs where you park. They try to help you not get your car towed

Tonight was our first time here. We were looking for something late night. Food was great, prices reasonable and our server, Candace, was beyond amazing. Candace went over the menu with us, made recommendations since it was our first time and was so attentive. Five star service from start to finish. We will be back next time we are on this side of town.

My family really enjoyed the food. And the service we received from JB was amazing. I do plan on coming back to try other items on the menu.

Delicious, home style soul food cooked with care from great tasting natural ingredients. Potboil crab with cajun rub The atmosphere was relaxed (Monday night), locals, all different ages. We were served by Dejah who really made us feel at home in a new city. Her service made our visit to BB's next level. I wish I could give her a sixth star We'll be back!!!

We went to take advantage of the Houston Restaurant week and it was really good. The gumbo wa delicious, boudin spicy but good and the shrimp empanadas melted in your mouth. Finally the pecan cheesecake was a huge hit with all. However what made the night special was the amazing server. I hate that I did not get her name as she was an absolute STAR . So accommodating and attentive and dealt with a big group of ladies who all had requests out of the norm. Good service adds to any dining out experience and she was the best. It's a great reason to go back.

BB's in Pearland has a wonderful staff. Today I had the pleasure of being served by a waitress named Dejah.. she was the absolute BEST. Crawfish was on point too, my sons had shrimp which was also on point.

BB's relocated from Montrose to lower Westheimer. They also brought the great food and service with them. I had a wonderful experience there last weekend.

The empanadas were the best thing I've ever had. I will be back when I'm in town. Plus the drinks were good and I really enjoyed my étouffée 10 out of 10.

The flavor of the louisiana seasoning is really good. We got 2-lbs of crawfish each with three potatoes and corn. However, we were upset that the potatoes were not cooked well enough. The center of the potatoes still need at least 5 more minutes in the pot. We did ask for more potatoes to replace the uneaten potatoes and still the same things happened. It was really disappointing. We surely would try it again.

The hubs and I decided on a late date night and wanted cajun/ seafood. We came across this place and decided to make the drive from Rosenberg. They did not disappoint! Strong drinks. Shrimp and grits full of flavor and Meagan our waitress was very accommodating with our food preparation. The manager was awesome as well! Checked on us, surprised us with complimentary items and just overall awesome service. We will be returning! Thanks for great food and a great time!
