Mouth-watering food bursting with flavor and just great, friendly, and polite service from the waiter Samahja, and a personal greeting from the manager that evening. It just made for a great ending to an already amazing night.

My first time trying BB’s and everything was SO delicious. Our server K Jay W was outstanding. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He had a great attitude and was a great waiter. He really pulled the whole wonderful experience together!!

The service and atmosphere is fine. It’s a casual family friends Houston chain. They also have a bar. The food was mid - it wasn’t exceptional or anything I’d rave about. However, I’d go back if my friends wanted to. My boil was somewhat dry and we had to request dipping sauce (and there’s an extra fee). I also wasn’t a fan of the book flavor. My “boozy lemonade” tasted like a non-alcoholic spritz (I wasn’t a fan). Thanks to it being happy hour, I only spent like $22.

My favorite BBs. Food, service, and definitely drink wise. Such a vibe especially at night. Oh and their crawfish and alligator sausage doesn’t miss!!!🦞 (and try the abitaritas!!!! )

It wasn't too crowded around 5PM on a Saturday. Parking was available behind the restaurant, however if it's busy this won't be available quickly. The server was very attentive and refilled drinks frequently. I asked if there was some hot sauces available and he promptly got some Tabasco for my rice and beans. The root beer mix was a bit low. I informed the server and he verified I was correct on that and replaced the drink with another soft drink option. He had someone change the root beer syrup out before I left to make sure other patrons would have well balanced root beer sodas. Handful of tables were occupied but also plenty of space on the patio. While there, it wasn't too loud to have a conversation. The wall decorations added to the atmosphere. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were enjoyable. I could of ate 6 of them. I absolutely will come back and try more dishes. The key lime cheesecake has a nice flavor to it as well.

BB's is a real Louisiana treat! Food is always so delicious, and their drinks are so refreshing! Atmosphere , music, and ambiance all reminds you of the French Quarter. If you are looking for real Louisiana flare with a Texas kick. Look no more. BB's is where you need to be!

Visited BB's Cafe near my workplace, drawn by colleagues' recommendations. The place has a charming Texas retro vibe. They have two ongoing promotions: Choose any three dishes from a selection of six for $19.99, with a fourth dish for an additional $6. Five pounds of crawfish for $39.99, and you get an extra pound free. We ordered a platter with snow crab legs, fried shrimp, and sausage, five pounds of crawfish, and loaded cheese fries as an appetizer. The loaded fries arrived quickly and were delicious. The fries were crispy and topped with flavorful cheese and meat, no ketchup needed. The platter came with a layer of fried rice, which was overly salty and seemed stale. The fried shrimp felt like pre-made, not as fresh or crispy as expected. The snow crab legs were well-seasoned but a bit shriveled. The sausage was the best part of the platter, with a rich flavor. The crawfish were the highlight—fresh and flavorful, though small due to the season. We tried two flavors: The Tex-Orleans Way (spicy and salty) and The Citrus Garlic Way (milder and more garlicky). Both were great, but Tex-Orleans might be too salty for some. Portions were generous, and we had leftovers. The bill had a mistake with a missing discount for the complimentary shrimp and an extra charge for an unknown item, which the server later corrected.

Our experience was great! The boil experience was scrumptious!!! The grits were delicious as well as the boudin balls! Hakeem was a wonderful bartender and waiter! He made our night very pleasant with his charisma and kindness! He made our experience so enjoyable! He made me a Piña colada that I said was "tolerable" and went out of his way to have someone else make me one that I would enjoy more!!! The gentleman who took his time to make it was also so very nice!! And the gentleman who seated us was very kind too (he had a unique mustache)! Our over all experience was great and we'll definitely be back, hopefully we'll catch the great bartender with his great service!

HH I tried the boudin nachos and they were surprisingly good. Now I was told all the locations aren't always as good, but I thought I would miss not having enough meat, but I didn't miss it at all. Our server was cool and it wasn't super packed like the Heights or westheimer location. Bb's is always casual vibes. We went after work for hh.

My mom and I wanted crawfish. Luckily, I found an article from Eater that said BBs had them. I looked online, realized they also had happy hour and weren't too far from our hotel... sold! The ceviche was fresh and delicious. I think our waiter gave us the wrong portion (we wanted the $5 HH) but $10 for that amount is worth it. Shrimp were good. The seasoning was spicy and messy. HH price for those were $8, another great deal. The crawfish (our reason for visiting) did not disappoint. We went Louisiana style and it had a great heat, wasn't overly salty. There were some big crawfish and most of the other ones were small but that's how the season has been. Service was great. We had a hiccup with our bill but the manager quickly fixed it. Both our servers were attentive throughout the entire meal. We're going to remember to add this as a must visit spot when we're back in Houston.

Another BB's review from me! This past weekend for Sunday Funday we spent our Sunday at BB's on Richmond! The Richmond location has to be my favorite because they now have more parking, but mainly because this location oozes crawfish season to me. The service is always great, and of course, the crawfish is amazing! This go round, I tried the Bayou Tea and it was fantastic! The Bayou Tea cocktail pairs very well with the crawfish. It tastes just like tea.

This location is horrible for customer service and food. On numerous occasions, including today, service was lackluster. We will not be returning to this location; three times too many we have encountered the same issues here. It felt as if my family and I were pulling teeth today asking for things we previously asked our waiter for numerous times such as paper towels, gloves/bibs, etc. Not to mention, inside was super stuffy and appeared as though they didn't have the air conditioning on.

Been here many times and This place never disappoints. Pros: -Great food. -Great ambience. -Music playing in the background but not loud. -Enough parking. -Our server "VEE" was great. He was attentive and friendly. -Great location-literally walking distance from my place. Cons: -Draft beer..switch Dos Equis XX beer and replace with Modelo. Y'all need a good tasting Mexican lager. Pro tip: a lot of reviews talking about poor service. Talk to your server with respect. They are not robots but working humans like us all, going through this crazy thing called life. You're not better than them, so show some love to the people who handle your food. Will visit again of course. See yall soon.

Ordered the gumbo and a salad. Both were v v mid. The gumbo looked like something out of a can with this small condiment container sized amount of rice to consume with it. The salad I ordered was pretty horrible, lack luster and a shell of what was pictured online which led me to order anyways. Also annoyingly so...I placed an online order and when I hot there I still had to wait 10 mins despite arriving after the time given for pick up. Alas I blame myself for again trying to eat gumbo from Texas...

Met my bestie here for dinner, we shared the 10lbs crawfish for $50 it was good eatin, the extras were a bit pricey. Service was good.

Food is pricey but the service is amazing. Eriana was our server and she is top notch. If you come her request her. She was attentive and thought of things I would have never thought of. Like bringing something to clear and clean your hands and get the smell of crawfish off your hands once you're done.

I go here often for lunch. Catfish is plentiful, buttery, flakey, and tender. The hush puppies have jalapeños but it's not hot at all. Red beans have the familiar taste of home (New Orleans). Étouffée and rice is great with catfish. The fish taco is bursting with flavors, the flautas is crunchy but not too crunchy. And macaroni with roast beef debris is too die for. I love what they're doing with the new menu. I like the variety. Now I can get more than a poboy and gumbo.

Shrimp and Catfish, the food was good but I'm not sure how fresh the fish was because it had slight slimy texture to it. But I also went close to the end of the night. They may have had something to do with it. Service could've been slightly better but like I said before it might've been because it was the last hour they were open.

Their crawfish made me feel like I never really had crawfish before! Delicious from beginning to end. We went on Fat Tuesday, there was a DJ, dancing and lots of fun. The experience was very memorable.

We were in town and this was rated a great place to eat. We came in for lunch. They weren't many people there inside we decided to sit outside. It was completely empty so we had to ourselves, which was fine for us. Our waiter came out very quickly and got our orders was very prompt. I was really excited to try the shrimp and grits. I love grits and wanted to see how these tasted. For starters, I got a Cosmo, which was great and the empanadas. The empanadas were terrible. I am a fan of empanada especially curry or seasons ones and these just we're not doing it for me the sauce that came along with. It was nasty as well. I would rate these about a five out of 10. For the shrimp and grits I was definitely surprised at how great they tasted. I loved the flavoring a great menu option. My husband enjoyed his sandwich as well. The only detracting factor was once our food arrive to fly swarmed us outside and it was kind of hard to enjoy our meal while protecting our food from flies.

Do not come here - the service was appalling. I never complain about service, but was treated so poorly. I originally ordered to go but then decided to sit down and eat because it was not too crowded. I tipped accordingly and sat at the bar. I had to ask three different people for a bowl to place my crawfish shells in and was blown off completely by the bartender and another server. I started just placing the empty shells on a napkin on the bar until I managed to finally flag down a third person who handed the bartender the empty bowl. The bartender proceeded to shove it over to me, without a word. I just ended up getting up and leaving - I wish I could take back my tip. The crawfish was mediocre, small which is to be expected given the shortage, but it was also overly seasoned. I've been to this location before and it's very sad to me how the service has gone downhill. 3/14 - As a follow-up, BB's management reached out to me and has been very responsive in addressing the issues I had. Thank you to Olga and Alyssa for reaching out so promptly. It's nice to know that at least management cares deeply about service to its customers. I'm revising my rating based on that.

The food was old and over- seasoned. The food and bar service was worse than bad. I have eaten here for years, but this place is terrible.

It was my first night in Houston and I wasn't sure what I was going to eat. But this place didn't disappoint. For a nominal fee, I had a small house salad and crawfish empanadas. So, off the top, you think the salad is going to be lacking...nope. Tons of veggies and loved the citrus dressing. The empanadas, it's seafood fried in dough. I see no problem here. The flavor of the crawfish got a little list in the filling. But overall, I would totally return. Sidenote, the server's shirt referenced Game of Thrones. And she was awesome. Very personable. I'm a fan of hers and the food.

Casual ambiance, excellent service, and the BEST food! We had an amazing experience! Definitely the best Cajun style food we have had in a very long time. We sat at the bar because it was like 4:30PM and the waiters and bartender took care of us! Highly recommend this place!

My favorite location. A bit on the small aide and crowded sometimes but you'll be transported to New Orleans immediately. Love the vibe. Food always good, service at the bar always great and best Happy Hour deal in town!

I'm normally an automatic 5 stars. Breaks my heart but I have to do this. The service is awesome, all of the servers there are wonderful. Bartender is wonderful. The issue I have is with the food. Crawfish can be described as overcooked, over salted, and over dead.

Went here this past Sunday after church. It was late afternoon, so there was no wait, as we were the only ones there. The restaurant itself was cozy and decorated with gumbo motif! Our server, Conner, was able to recommend some great seafood options and was mindful to check in with us through out the meal. The food was good, we didn't get an appetizer but they give you chips and dip. One friend got chicken and sausage gumbo, one friend got a shrimp Poboy with fries and I got a shrimp Poboy with gumbo. We all enjoyed our meals! However, I have to strongly recommend trying the gumbo, because it was delicious and truly tasted like traditional Louisiana gumbo.

Service and Ambiance was awesome! Our waitress was very attentive and great At suggestions menu items. The crawfish are 3lbs for $23.99 (size small) or medium/large for $9.99lb or 5lbs for $35. We went with the 5lbs and honestly I have had better crawfish (taste and size). We didn't eat most of the crawfish due to them being very small. I would recommend finding crawfish elsewhere but if you looking to just hangout and drink with your friends this is a cool place to try.

I really enjoyed bb's especially because I haven't had fresh crawfish in such a longgggg time. I ordered 3 pounds with mushrooms and a lemonade. So as far as the crawfish goes, they were fresh and delicious. I wish I would've been told the difference between the seasonings though because i ordered Louisiana style and it was just dry rub seasoning kind of just coating the crawfish. Very spicy and over seasoned so for me I had to wipe most of them down which was a little frustrating. I couldn't even eat the mushrooms because they literally were just coated in seasoning. I don't think I'll be back but the crawfish were good.... Just weren't what I expected

Probably some of best Crawfish I've had in Houston! It is seasoned very well and not too spicy. This specific BB's location does it right. My potato, egg, and corn were so good as well! I always have to get a Texas Twister and the Cajun Empanadas when I go to BB's! Definitely check this location out the service was amazing!

I picked up my food Togo. I grabbed the Tuesday special - Pecan Crusted Chicken with Cajun Cream Sauce. Babyyy this hit the spot and put me in a carb coma. My sides were the Mac and cheese and collard greens. My meal was extremely fresh and hot. Extremely flavorful and was as advertised. I'll definitely try again!

As soon as I walked into BBs Texas New Orleans food on Richmond, I was immediately transported to the vibrant, soulful streets of New Orleans. The live music pulsating through the air only added to the lively ambiance of the place. However, my experience was unfortunately dampened by the lack of attention from our waiter. For a good fifteen minutes, my companions and I sat at our table without any acknowledgement from our server. When he finally sauntered over, he took our order without so much as a glance in our direction, let alone a greeting or an apology for the wait. Things only went downhill from there. We sat for another thirty minutes without any sign of our food or even a glass of water. When we finally made the decision to leave, we were met with a snarky retort from our unresponsive waiter. After speaking with some regulars, I learned that the only way to receive decent service at BBs Texas New Orleans food is to perch at the bar. While the food may be decent, the lack of attention and poor customer service makes it hard to recommend this place to anyone. In a city known for its hospitality, BBs Texas New Orleans food falls short.

Food gets a 3/5 and the outdoor patio is a great spot for when the weather is nice. But this gets a low rating for the very slow service. We never had a refill on our water in the 2 hours we were there. We also waited about 50 mins to get our checks, and when they were finally brought back our server had rung them up wrong. We didn't ask to fix it as we didn't want to add any more time to our wait.

I have been to this location a few times. This particular time, it was a party of 8 on a Wednesday evening after a graduation. They really accommodated us. Even though the patio was closed, we were seated on the patio with plenty of room available for everyone. The service was excellent, our waitress who just so happened to be the manager (we found out at the end) was very pleasant and personable. You could not tell that they were short handed at all. My niece was very happy and pleased with her dinner.

Worst spot ever.. nobody acknowledge my family and I when we sat down... We waited over 20 minutes and still no waiter addressed us..

4 for food, 3 for over seasoning and for service and 2 for cost and ambience! Food - had the Dungeness crab with 2 potatoes. The two baby potatoes cost more than a bag from the store lol. Tasty but clearly I'm paying fir location rent! Crab was tasty as well. General comment- cut back about 50% on the salt and seasoning guys. You're causing HBP and High Cholesterol. You don't need excessive seasoning for things to taste good. Way too much! Oh and they charge for everything alacarte. Crab plus butter plus potatoes lol. Be prepared to help pay for their rent. Service - nice people but poor follow up, attentiveness speed. They are Lao a bit understaffed. Hope they're doing ok financially. A little concerned! Parking - during the day it was ok but the lot looks small. Ambience - old and dirty sticky wood tables like an old pub. The food is casual but it would be nice if they had plastic, metal or some other kind of table that doesn't lend itself to being sticky dingy and old looking over time. I'll be back though. Food was worth it. Will just scrape off the tablespoons of salt lol!

Amazing! I'm from west Texas where crawfish isn't even a thing. BB's is literally heaven sent. Crawfish is big, seasoning is great, staff is making sure you are okay. Definitely recommend! UPDATE: I've been there twice in a week and will be returning Monday. Im obsessed!

Decided to get take out and I was not impressed. Overpriced food for a small amount. We got two gumbo orders to go and fried pickles. The gumbo size was so small for the price. Definitely not worth it. Pickles were too salty

So i went for an offer they were doing where they did half a pound of shrimp and you get a free cluster but what didnt mention is that you need to be a member, and when i tried becoming member it wouldnt let me so i got fully charge. Whoever was incharge made no effort to help me out just the nice waiter who was serving me.

Don't fall for the classic being the bigger crawfish deal.... They give you the smaller crawfish and 2 big crawfish in your order. All over the place... no one acknowledged the 3lbs for 24.99 as advertised.

After leaving a review about my unpleasant experience, I was asked to email management. I reached out with my complaints and they apologized for the inconvenience and listened to my suggestions. We went back to BB's and the next experience was much better. We were seated quickly, the food was good and the service was good as well. Thanks for helping to make things right!

I ordered bbs Togo last night, I'm a big fan of bbs, but hadn't been since crawfish season. I called my order in, and it was ready when I got there,I ordered the boudin balls, the trio platter ( chicken and sausage gumbo, crawfish etouffee, and red beans and rice ) and the maw maws bread pudding Everything was amazing, the boudin balls were flavorful with a little spice, not too much, perfect texture! Everything in the trio was great, red beans and rice were a little too sweet for me, but still delicious! The bread pudding was huge!! Enough desert to share with several people! Great place to come during crawfish season!!

In terms of service I'd have to say this location is the best and most consistent. The tex Cajun fries are delicious - just add some Tabasco to give it some spice since they aren't spicy at all. The hot and spicy shrimp is delicious, it tastes very fresh and cooked perfectly. I like to add both the chicken/apple sausage and the garlic sausage. I recommend trying both as they taste completely different but they are complimented so well with their house sauce. The rockdale redfish plate is also very tasty and the portion is fair considering it's $20-22 price range. All the frozen drinks are so good and they def don't skimp out on the alcohol- my fav is the red headed wompus cat

Very good food and drinks! I loved my frozen peach margarita. I also enjoy the shrimp and grits plate with collard greens as my side dish. Very good! We stopped by on a busy Saturday afternoon, the food did take a little longer to come out. Staff and servers were very friendly and helpful!

Crawfish is so good!! Service could be/ should be better. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there was a line out the door- yet there were probably 10 tables outside that had not been cleaned for customers to use. 2 girls/employees sitting outside under a tent (I guess for to go orders - chatting away)- I would've thought they'd (at least one) could've gotten up to clean tables considering people are having to wait to even get inside. We finally go in- waited another 5 minutes to get a table - while there saw many employees walking around talking and passing up the several tables that needed to be cleaned. It seems like they should've moved faster on cleaning tables with so many people working there. Just nasty seeing so many dirty tables and people talking and just walking by them. Next time I go I hope to get a bar seat because so I don't have to see the laziness of dirty tables. *if it was a problem in employees, I'd understand, but there were many that day. We love BBs and especially their crawfish and that owners are big UH folks!

My go to place when time comes to grab a bucket of crawfish and a jar of beer. Yum! Very relaxing environment. Friendly people and service.

I would really give this place a 3.5 if I could. I'll keep it short and simple. I went with family, and one of the good thing about this place was they had a great deal for Tuesdays there is a "twosday meal" which is choice of two beers, or two sodas, one appetizer, and two entrees for only $34.95. So my boyfriend and nephew opted for that, getting tex cajun fries, the crowley crawfish combo, and the jazzy shrimp trio, and I just got 1lb of shrimp. My favorite thing on the menu had to be their appetizer of the tex cajun fries. Like seriously SO GOOD. Normally I am not a "gravy over fries" type of girl, but this I can make an exception for. The only reason why I gave a 3/5 was because our waitress was not very attentive at all. She started off great, but it was only downhill from there. We came two hours before closing, but it just seemed like she did not want to be there. She actually was very hard to flag down because she would sit outside on the patio like she was on break. I strongly dislike service like that. If you are caring for a table, make sure you are readily available. Would I go back? Maybe, but unlikely. I'd just get something to go honestly.

So this is the third bb Tex Orleans Place and this is probably the best BB. We love the atmosphere and I think the potatoes here are the best among all the other BB. They are big and usually cut in half. The Louisiana seasoning is perfect of course. The hand select crawfish could be better as there are a few small crawfish among the "hand pick" crawfish. The wait is a little long and we didn't think they should take away the wait online option on yelp at rush hour time. Overall, we will come back to this BB.

I truly enjoy coming to this location because of the servers! They are always attentive and friendly. During my last experience, Hannah made sure we enjoyed ourselves and tried to accommodate us when the restaurant was out of items we liked. I am not sure if it's due to to Covid... If it was a Monday or what but the kitchen and bar lacked a lot of things. The food they did have was just okay. If it wasn't for the service, I definitely wouldn't return.

Good is always amazing. It was time for our check out and I asked one of the waiter Ms.Amber is her name if we can get the check and she turn and gave me a horrible attitude saying "I'm not your waiter so I don't have your check" and walked away. Never have I ever experience something like this in any locations.

I'm really good about coming here during slow hours. Usually happy hours or awkward dinner times, where most people are not generally eating. It's been to my benefit. The one true drawback is that service can be a little slow, but the quality of food and friendly waiters makes up for it. I did come here for a private birthday dinner with my husband, on my birthday. (That day just sucked. I had work and a late night grad class, so there was no celebrating, just dinner before class.) I wanted to drown my sorrows in chicken bullets and chalmette macaroni. Oh, and that I did, the food was yummy and my husband ordered boudin balls to help round out my meal of woe as we shared food between us. I've always been a fan of BB's and this place in particular is just small enough to be cozy, but not so small I feel like there's no elbow room like another location of theirs. The waiters always seem to recommend the best drinks and tells us of the best specials, to get the most for our meals. I wish a BB's was closer to where I live, but as long as there are several in Houston, I'll semi survive.
