Houston Cajun Favorite BB’s Cafe Will Open in Webster [Updated] | Eater Houston

"Known for Cajun-fried seafood, crawfish boils, and gumbo, this longtime Houston favorite—originally launched in Montrose in 2007—has developed a cult following and even earned the endorsement and frequent visits of Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. The operation runs multiple restaurants in Houston proper and additional locations in Katy, Cypress, and Pearland, and is now expanding to its tenth Houston-area outpost. A permit filed with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission indicates the Webster space is under construction at the listed address, with an expected opening in June or July." - Amy McCarthy

We come to BB’s often for the crawfish, but we recently fell in love with a few other menu items too. The boudin nachos, which are only available during happy hour for some insane reason, are absolutely delicious. The Cajun Caesar salad with salmon hits every time. The food always comes out hot and full of flavor, and the drinks are pretty good too. The service is okay, but the food never disappoints. BB’s is definitely one of our go-to spots for great Cajun comfort food.

Go to another location!!!! Specially with a group of 4 our more. They are not equipped to service you. I wanted to share some feedback about my recent visit to BBS Café. I waited over an hour and fifteen minutes to just get a table and the restaurant was nearly empty the entire time. It was really disappointing, especially since there didn’t seem to be a reason for such a long wait. I hope you can look into what happened I’d love to see the service match the quality of the food in the future. The staff looked really unhappy and unwelcoming. I’m sure it was because they were understaffed. We got here at 6:15 and is 8:06 and not even water is being served. He so called manager “uncharged” said that they were busy. This was literally past 2 hours and no drinks. We ended up leaving no apologies, no disregards, these Kids were over the night and they just wanted to close the store. That’s what it literally felt like. The white oak location is where is at. They know how to handle pressure, they have many the waitstaff that can actually work.

I recently saw this place on the news highlighting their food. I had to try it. So we took our family to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday. It was pretty awesome, well be back.

BB's Tex-Orleans is consistently a home run every single time we visit! If you're looking for a vibrant, flavorful, and genuinely fun dining experience that transports you straight to New Orleans with a Texas twist, look no further. The atmosphere is always buzzing – lively, welcoming, and just radiates good vibes. You immediately feel like you're part of a big, delicious party. But it's the food that truly steals the show. Their seafood boils are legendary for a reason; the crawfish, shrimp, and crab are always incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to juicy perfection. You can choose your spice level, and they nail it every time. Seriously, prepare to get messy and love every minute of it! Beyond the boils, their gumbo is a rich, soulful masterpiece, and the po'boys are generously stuffed and utterly satisfying. We also love their dirty rice and the crispy fried pickles – perfect accompaniments to any meal. The service is always attentive and friendly, even when they're packed (which is often!). The staff makes you feel right at home and is happy to guide you through the menu or offer recommendations. BB's Tex-Orleans isn't just a meal; it's an experience. It's the perfect spot for a casual dinner, a lively gathering with friends, or when you're simply craving authentic, incredible Cajun food with that special Houston touch. You'll leave stuffed, happy, and already planning your next trip back for more!

Google
The food was good (pachanga platter and fried shrimp), the service was good but not great (had a trainer and a trainee), but the atmosphere was dead. I’m from Louisiana, play some upbeat zydeco music, have the servers show some energy and enthusiasm. The experience was good, but could’ve been awesome with a few changes

Google
I never had a Red beans and rice salsa, pineapple sausage, and cajun mushrooms over dirty rice!!!! 😋🍚 😋The food was excellent especially my 🦐 shrimp and 🐟 Fish empanadas. The server was really nice. I'll be back for sure. I enjoyed everything and cleaned my plate.

Google
Always excellent! Pictured is a Caesar salad w pecan crusted chicken breast (ot was a custom order). Our server Juan is always friendly.

Google
The appetizers were amazing, but the poboy was so dry and barely had any meat in it. While I was disappointed in the main course, my experience with Shaidy, our waiter, made it such a great experience. She was attentive, funny, and courteous.

Yelp
Came here after church one day with family. We all enjoyed our food. The service could've been better, but the flavor and portions made up for it. I got the crab oil and a beverage. Both were very tasty. I love the Cajun / TexMex fusion. I highly recommend!

Yelp
Neat establishment on the inside with several TVs and a bar with a New Orleans type vibe. The food was so-so. The fried crawfish were really good. The salmon, dirty rice, and Mexican corn could all use extra seasoning for better flavor and taste. They all lacked flavor. Service is a little slow.

Yelp
Was looking for a good Sunday meal that was tasty but not too heavy. I decided on BBs. I didn't want to eat inside so I ordered online and took it home. I ordered the grits and blackened shrimp with seasoned corn as my side. It came with a small garlic bread. The meal was seasoned to perfection and was surprisingly still hot when I made it home. Everything was delicious, I was even able to split into two portions and finish the rest the next day. So good The service was quick and easy.

Yelp
Went on the Sunday before Labor Day. I would bet that was the reason the service was slow. Most likely short handed in the kitchen and bussers. Took awhile to get our food. Once the food came I ordered another drink. It showed up once we were done eating and getting Togo boxes. Food. My wife liked her étouffée. I had the half and half. The roast beef which should have had debris was dry. The red beans and rice dry as sand as well . Obviously who was in the kitchen was not paying attention to the food they were serving. I would not go again.
google avatar

Jazmine S.

Yelp
Service was extremely slow. Took maybe 5 minutes of me waiting to actually be noticed and be seated. Had to wait for someone to clean off a dirty table so I could be seated. Then it took maybe another 10 minutes for a waiter to take my drink order. For my meal, I had the Morgan city pasta with a Caesar salad. It's sad to say that the salad was better than the pasta. The pasta lacked seasoning and the sauce was so watery. I'd try this place again some day but I would order something else and I hope the service will be better.

Yelp
Order crab legs without spice and received crab legs extra spicy. returned them to the kitchen and they actually rinsed off the crab legs and return them to us. I can commend the waitress for her patience and effort to make things right. I would be more understanding if the place had been busy, however; we were amongst approximately five other customers. UNEXCUSIBLE !

Yelp
Have passed by this place many times and it always looks closed but I checked to see if they were open and of course they were. Brought my father here for lunch and we did not leave disappointed. We sat outside on the patio. Our waitress was nice and attentive. They start you off with some red beans, sausage and cheese dip. It was very good. I ordered the fried shrimp poboy with a cup of chicken and sausage gumbo. I have to say both were excellent. My dad had the blackened Salmon served with greens and dirty rice and it was excellent as well. I ordered a manhattan and the bartender did not disappoint (I only wished they had Luxardo Cherries instead of Maraschino Cherries). I will definitely come back here again.

Yelp
We hit up a crazy busy restaurant for crawfish season and somehow managed not to lose our minds. Our server Juan was a total rockstar, keeping our drinks full before we even had to ask. The grub arrived hot and on time, because who doesn't love a good timely meal? The wings were ridiculously tasty and the boudin balls were so big and flavorful we almost forgot about the crawfish. Almost. Because at $10 a pound, those little crustaceans better be life changing, and yeah they pretty much were.... Suitable for children and families, this establishment boasts a tranquil ambiance and exceptional service.

Yelp
Great chain option for Cajun seafood in the Webster/Houston area. Had the shrimp and grits, shrimp poboy, and boudain balls last time I visited and they were all excellent. Very reasonably priced too for seafood dishes. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
Cold Beer in a Cold Glass! Yeah Buddy. Started my meal off with the Boudin Balls. Nice sized balls with a light breading and good sauces (Ranch & Roumlade?). Hot and Fresh with a flavor. Could use a bit more heat in my book. A treat to say the least Main course is Surf & Turf Po Boy! Gotta represent the Gulf with the deep fried shrimp. Brown Gravy Trash Roast Beef to slurry on top and lock it all together. Whoa Nelly! Hold in to your hats for this one! Needed a bit of salt but this sammy was the boom diggity. Breaded shrimp with roast beef on a hoagie with maters. Shoestring fries on the side to round out this bad boy! Wanted dessert so it was a toss up between the bread pudding and the butter cake. Had to go with Maw Maw's Bread Pudding since that tends to be one of my favs! Surprised no Bananas Foster but hey you can't have everything right?

Yelp
I pretty much live in the middle of this BB's location and the Pearland one. Typically prefer this one. I think I'd say this is more the family one and the Pearland one is slightly more of the "friend" one. Service is usually a little better at the Webster one as well and it's often easier to get a table. Our waitress was wonderful. I think Olivia, was our waitress. She's been there for a while, because she was also my brother, niece and my waitress the last time we visited which was at least a year ago. She is very kind, attentive and got us anything we needed. The downside, while our waitress was great overall service was a little slow. I think the kitchen was backed up. We were nearly done with our meals by the time they brought out our hush puppies and my basket of fries. I was excited to see the limited menu! Available M-F, 11am- 6 pm. For as little as $9.99, you can get a pretty good meal. With that said however, I was a bit disappointed with the puny amount of fish and shrimp I received with my fish& shrimp plate. See my pics. My brother ordered the same thing but fried fish w/ grilled shrimp and he had so much food on his plate. They had to have put some of my fish on his plate. No way that was fairly distributed. No way cornmeal adds that much to one's dish. At any rate, the collard greens were good and I couldn't help myself and also ordered a basket of fries which my niece and I shared. My niece ordered a boil. She got one crab, one potato and one corn cob, lol. Not at all enough food which she admitted but she seemed to enjoy and have fun with it. My fry basket helped fill her up a bit more. BB's is a great place to go with family, friends, groups or you could even dine solo on a lunch break or in the bar. They've got great happy hour specials on both their food and drinks, crawfish specials, and now the limited lunch & early dinner menu. I'll definitely be returning to take advantage of more of the limited menu options but will avoid the teeny blackened fish I got before. Bb's might be a summer go-to for me this year.

Yelp
We came here tonight to have family dinner. We had 4 adults, a child, and a baby. We were seated in the back which I appreciate because I'm able to have a highchair in the corner without it being in the way or being concerned that someone might run into the carrier. They turned a highchair upside down for me to put my carrier in which I don't love because those highchairs are NOT sturdy upside down, but I already knew this since most restaurants do the same thing and don't have slings. It is another reason I appreciated being sat in the back corner. Our waitress was Luz. She was fantastic and very helpful when it came to answering questions we had. It was a little loud inside, but not so bad that you couldn't hear each other talk. They were not extremely busy when we got there. It was a Thursday around 6:30 PM. They seemed to be getting busier as time went on, but we didn't have to wait to be seated. The food was great! My mom and I got Mama B's Shrimp and Grits with a side of the street corn. My husband had a po' boy and a cup of gumbo. My sister had pecan crusted chicken, and my niece had the kid's macaroni with fries and a side of carrots. She was very excited that her meal came with an ice cream sandwich. I also got a bread pudding to go. Everybody liked their food, and my husband declared that he WILL be back for more gumbo. The hardest part of dinner was that it was hard to share anything with my baby because of the spice, but he's okay with a little heat, so he enjoyed some grits. Also my niece didn't finish her Mac and cheese so he had a little bit of that. All in all not a big deal, but he does like to be included in the dining experience since he's eating solids now. Here's what you need to know. My husband was born and raised in Louisiana and is very particular about his gumbo. He always the gumbo when it's an option so he knows good gumbo. He said that this is probably the best gumbo he's gotten from a restaurant in the 10 years we've lived in Texas. I am a bread pudding enthusiast and I have tried bread pudding from more places than I can even remember. (Just read my reviews.) We got a bread pudding to go because I needed to get the baby home and in bed. Of course I had to try it once I was home. I needed to taste it while it was as fresh as possible. It's a good one. Is it the absolute best I've ever had? No... but it's pretty high up there. The delicious foamy topping and the sauce that it's served with are *chef's kiss* YUMMY! I will definitely try it again at the restaurant so I can get the FULL taste and experience, but even at home an hour later, it did not disappoint. We definitely will be back and I can't wait to try more options.

Yelp
BB's is a great place for local Tex-Orleans fusion! They opened in Clear Lake before the Covid so we only went one time before the shutdown. The. We got delivery or Togo from BB's which helped sustain us during the lockdown. Recently ordered the cold boiled shrimp with extra lemons and extra horseradish. So fresh & delish! The Rockdale redfish was perfect to share and I was happy the rich creamy sauce was served on the side. The sauce had shrimp and crawfish tails. YUM!!
google avatar

Shantrell T.

Yelp
I wish I would of took a better picture, like when I got the food, but couldn't wait. Kayla provided us with excellent service which was a pleasant change from what we experienced at viola & agnis. The food was delicious and the customer service was superb
google avatar

Marcus R.

Yelp
Great service and plenty of options, whether you want a whole bucket of seafood or a more simpler platter. Food arrived quickly and was all delicious! The redfish had an incredible sauce that you just want to drink directly. Definitely try the gumbo as well!
google avatar

Sonia G.

Yelp
Three of us dined outside. Fans made it more comfortable to do so. I had a Shrimp poboy which was pretty good, but I was disappointed because I ordered an adult Cajun chicken tenders meal to go and this is what I got. I called the restaurant and they said I could come back and get an adult meal since that is what I was charged for. However at 25 miles away, it's not worth it to me.

Yelp
Sooooooo delicious! Crawfish shrimp and crab were perfectly cooked and seasoned with love!!! Boudin balls were hot and crispy and full of flavor! The bread pudding and brownie sundae both came out fresh hot and tasty! Our server Juan was attentive and gave us good advice on what to order! He was pleasant and very friendly! We came early in the evening during the week and it was clean and inviting! This will be our new go to spot for crawfish and Cajun dishes!!
google avatar

Vijay N.

Yelp
Great food and great service. Brother and his family loved the crab boil experience. They also ordered a chicken with Mac n cheese dish I enjoyed the large shrimp étouffée entree Lemonades and the wine was good too
google avatar

Angela W.

Yelp
The service was alright. The grilled chicken I ordered to go with my salad was absolutely flavorless. The boudin balls were terrible. I've had the boudin balls at other locations and, I do not remember them lacking flavor. I don't get in the habit of throwing my leftovers away but, those balls had to GO! .Lastly, the collard greens tasted like leftovers from the night before and again, no flavor. I'll visit BB's again, just won't ever return to this location.Maybe it was just a bad day for the cook!

Steven B.

Yelp
We had the Tex-Cajun Fries with cheese, gravy, and debris for an appetizer. Normally a real hit for us but they must have run out of the shoe-string potatoes. They used regular fries and it was way too much potato taste. We split an entree that had fried catfish, fried crawfish, and fried shrimp. That did not disappoint. Service was good.
google avatar

Becky B.

Yelp
Food okay, not great. Recipes are not consistent from visit to visit. Under seasoned food all around. Service is slow and forgetful and unobservant. The worst thing is the AC is out. They claim the Freon is low but it hasn't been cooling for over a week, so... Pretty uncomfortable as a customer, inhumane for the staff who have to cook, clean, and serve here all day. Bathroom floors are slick for some (bad) reason. Smells like a gas station. They need to use different cleaners. All in all we will not return.
google avatar

Romero L.

Yelp
I love this place. The food is amazing. My go to is the po boys.A definitely must try in Clear Lake.

Jason R.

Yelp
Food is awesome, prices very reasonable, service is consistently good. Crawfish are always perfect. Well worth a visit.

Yelp
New Orleans style restaurant located in eastern Houston. I am a New Orleans native and was visiting a friend in Houston recently. I moved to the West Coast from New Orleans five years ago so I was definitely missing some home cooking. My friend who is a Houston native raved about this place stating it was a mixture of authentic New Orleans food with a Texas twist. I definitely felt at home once I walked in with all of the bright colors and New Orleans memorabilia on the walls. I was delighted to learn they had Abita beer on tap. For my meal I have the Boudin flautas with the red beans and rice. Even though Boudin is more of a western Louisiana dish my curiosity was peaked. It did not disappoint and was one of the most unique dishes I have had in a long time. Even on a Tuesday evening the restaurant was absolutely packed. Expect a wait.
google avatar

Valerie C.

Yelp
I have been to BB's quite a few times but have never written a review. But it's crawfish season and my family and I go about once a week. We have been on busy days and the wait isn't that long , max 20 minutes. The servers are kind and very helpful and attentive. We really the love the vibe at BB's. We mainly go for their crawfish and seafood boils. We usually customize it with our favorite additions like ( corn, potatoes, boiled eggs, broccoli, brussel sprouts and mushrooms. We always get it the Tex- Orleans way. Their field run selection has always been good size wise. Sometimes we do go for the classics which is the bigger crawfish. We have had several desserts, appetizers and cocktails. Our favorite dessert is the butter cake, favorite appetizer is the fried pickles or the empanadas. The beer is always nice and cold , I think our favorite cocktail is probably the hurricane. I definitely recommend giving them a try if you haven't yet.

Yelp
Just had snow crab, boiled shrimp for 20 dollars off Tx Orleans Triple play menu. Came with dirty rice was delicious and is a bargain. Sis had fried shrimp snow crab and chicken wings. Everything was delicious, reasonably priced but chicken wings tasted a bit swampy.

Maria G.

Yelp
Best crawfish, the Tex-neworleans with a 4 oz crawfish sauce there's no other place with this season

John

Yelp
I have been here multiple times and it was always a wonderful experience. I recently went here on 10-12 @ ~1PM for a date and it was downright embarrassing. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Toilets filled to the brim with human waste, Toilet paper all over the floors, the floors were also somehow wet? (This is a slipping hazard) This was just nasty. Aside from the disgusting bathrooms, I recieved the worst service I ever have in my entire life. It was so bad, it genuinely felt like my table was being specifically targeted and ignored. We didn't order anything unusual or anything that would take extra time to make, but tables who arrived 30 minutes after us were receiving their food and it was the same exact dishes we had ordered. Dude It was so f**king bad. I don't take to yelp to ever leave reviews unless they are outstandingly good or unusually bad. This was so bad i can't help but talk about it. It was really bad. I can't explain how bad this experience was. I almost threw up in the bathroom. We waited so long for out entree that we ended up canceling the order and leaving. This only happened after we had waited 20 to 30 minutes with empty glasses before I had to approach someone in the kitchen for a refill on our sweet tea because there was nobody behind the bar or on the floor. (Mind you, tables who showed up after us were receiving our same Dishes) We then waited a further 10-15 minutes before asking for our check and leaving the restaurant. This was made more embarrassing by the fact that I strongly suggested this restaurant to my date against her better judgement. All of the other waitresses were attentive and wonderful. Our waitress was clearly and openly seeing every table but ours with a questionable agenda. It felt so wrong that it gave me the inclination that she just had some personal issue with us. This felt especislly foul because I worked as a buss boy in the past and typically tip far more than necessary. This just felt wrong and I don't think I will come be back.

Yelp
the survice and they made great food and I loved there crawfish and fried shrimp llllllllll

Yelp
Listen!!! I wasn't expecting what I got!! We got in late and I was not having anymore French fried anything! This was the first place we saw pulling in from Dallas that looked acceptable and I said yes because I saw "boudin flautas" Scurrrrrrrrr...wait what!?!? Y'all they were so freaking good!!!!!! Like I could eat them FOR EV ER !!!!! Pretty good portion size. I was super full when I was done. I came to say order this! Because you will not be disappointed!!

Esmeralda H.

Yelp
Food was delicious. I had the Madhatter Salad with salmon. It was fantastic. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the spinach and other veggies were fresh and tasty.

Yelp
Brady and Juan were amazing! The crawfish and shrimp pasta was Phenomenal!!! 5 stars! Most importantly, Juan went out of his way just to be sure I got the pasta that I came for. Overall, I'm a HAPPY CUSTOMER AND WILL RETURN

Cleo Ross D.

Yelp
My wife and I are retired, and eat out a lot. We are "foodies". On a lark we stopped at BB's, with no great expectations. After a Sunday lunch let me report. They checked all the standard boxed. Great bar drinks, timely and courteous service, and comfortable accommodations. But when you get to the food quality, quantity and menu options, this place will surprise you. I would highly recommend the crab meal to share. A great variety of vegetables. Not just potatoes and corn. But Brussels sprouts, green beans and broccoli. The servings are generous, and the closer is the flavor. New Orleans style or not, the flavor will knock your socks off. If you haven't been there, put it on your list. You will love it.

No Limit M.

Yelp
Horrible service wait time extremely long was told 25 mins which turned into a hour go back and ask what's takin so long they say another 25 minutes
google avatar

Lisa B.

Yelp
I really liked this restaurant! The food was sooo good! We were in the Huston area recently and I was really craving some good seafood. I wanted a big boil, but my Husband wasn't up for the challenge so I settled on shrimp and grits. Everything had so much flavor, I usually don't like grits because they taste bland to me, but not these! So much butter and great seasoning. The shrimp were cooked to perfection, not over cooked and chewy like you get in some places. If I was in the area I would definitely go again. Really nice people, good prices, not too crowded, good atmosphere :)
google avatar

Michelle H.

Yelp
This a one of my fave local spots. I eat a lot of boudin and not a lot of people get it right but this place makes the best around. Although we get it to go, it's hands down better in-house. We enjoyed our meal today as usual. The dirty rice was just ok this time, but it's been better. I think they have some of the best coleslaw n hush puppies...try 'em!!
google avatar

Morgan M.

Yelp
The food was delicious! it's also a nice dine-in restaurant. I told my friend we would have to come back several times so I could try all the things that caught my eye.

Yelp
July 20. 2020 drove in from Galveston for happy hour and dinner with a friend. All of the staff wore masks and there was hand sanitizer available upon entry into dinning area. (Ive eaten at BB's in the Heights before) Amanda F was our server; she was friendly and efficient. We started with seafood empanadas...happy hour price 1/2 off. They were delicious (creamy shrimp and crawfish alfredo served w/avocado ranch) We had the Texas Twister (frozen hurricane/margarita combo) it was strong and tasty. Entree's were: Boudin Flautas homemade boudin with pepper jack cheese Fish tacos (catfish) (Both served with red beans and rice) We enjoyed both. After dinner drink in the bar Maw Maw Bayou tea (lemon vodka with sweet tea and mint leaves) refreshing Glass of Reisling good
google avatar

Carissa C.

Yelp
My family and I tried out BB's for their $35 4-course dinner, and we loved it! Despite Covid precautions, we had a very enjoyable experience and our server, Samantha, was very attentive and friendly. I opted for the crawfish etouffee (super flavorful, full of crawfish, and creamy), the Madhatter salad (loved the cheese, cranberries, and avocado ranch), shrimp and grits (soooo tasty and had plenty of nicely sized shrimp), and the massive root beer float. Other dishes worth mentioning were the red beans and rice and the Rockdale red fish. Usually my family doesn't eat too much red beans and rice, but there's was extra tasty and I really enjoyed the sausage that was included in it. The Rockdale redfish, too, was by far the best dish in value and flavor. It consisted of fish, shrimp, rice, and veggies. We'd love to return to check out their family packs!
google avatar

Mick B.

Yelp
2nd time to this restaurant and it was my customers choice though my plate looks delicious it was flavorless and a little bitter. I didn't eat the grits at all. I should've ordered fried fish or shrimp. We had boudin balls and those were ok. Salad was ok. Not sure I will go back again personally.
google avatar

Andrew B.

Yelp
I got 3lbs of crawfish the Louisiana way and it was perfect. If you are in the area just go. The waitress and staff were nice and inviting as well.
google avatar

Mel N.

Yelp
Dude, I totally don't remember what I ordered but everything was nice and salty with flavor. I'm soldddd! Food does take quite a while to come out though
google avatar

Joan N.

Yelp
Came here first for a to-go crawfish. That first order was for my father-in-law. The crawfish boil was delish BUT the wait time for getting this to-go order went 20 mins over what they had told me the pick up time will be. Came here the 2nd time for a dine in and go the $35 for 5 lbs special. I can tell the crawfish didn't have a lot of soak time in it since the flavor just wasn't there. Our server was very good though. He's very attentive and made sure our water glasses were filled up. My kids also loved their orders of the skinny man meal and cheeseburger. They also really loved the thin crunchy fries on the side.
google avatar

Ann N.

Yelp
Yum! Best Cajun food we've had in a while. We opted to go with curbside pick-up instead of dine-in. This is what we ordered, ranked: 1. Hot & spicy boiled shrimp: Omg, delicious. You need to try this. We ordered 1/2 lb New Orleans Spicy & 1/2 lb Texas style. Both were great but I preferred the Texas style a bit more. Be warned, both flavors are actually spicy (and we can definitely handle spice). Shrimp were juicy & skin was crisp. A must next time! 2. Boudin balls: Plump, warm, and delicious. Dipped into the Chipotle mayo on the side equals perfection. It's a perfect combination and great to share. They are quite hearty and take multiple bites to finish 1. I can definitely see this as a party or family dinner favorite. 3. Loaded pollo billets: also delicious, and very spicy! Super seasoned & flavorful, with a nice kick. Only order this if you can actually handle spice. 4. Cajun empanadas: Creamy and rich. When you bite in, definitely less seasoned than everything else and I would think would be great for kids. It's dipping sauce is tart and is a great complement. 5. Crawfish etouffe: Pretty average, they give a lot of crawfish though. Also comes with a side of cornbread and rice. 6. Maw Maw's Gumbo: We were most disappointed in this because it was super salty and lackluster. Comes with a side of rice and saltine crackers. Would not order this again. Overall, for 6 dishes, our total came out to be $98 with tax. For a party of 4, we definitely had a lot of leftovers and I think it's super worth it. If you're looking for authentic, hearty Cajun food that'll leave you breathless (literally) and on the brink of a food coma, come here to visit. 1 star off only b/c I had to repeat myself several times while ordering on the phone (the employee couldn't seem to get it lol) which can be frustrating & it took over 15 mins to pick up our order when there were no parties before or after me. But in circumstances like this, it is totally understandable and wouldn't impact on whether we would visit again.

Yelp
We shared the Cajun Empanadas (Empanada Dumplings stuffed with Creamy Shrimp and Crawfish Alfredo, Celery, Onions, and Herbs, deep fried to perfection.) I didn't really expect to like them as much as I did, and we didnt leave one on the plate. The Shrimp & Oysters were cooked just right, the hush puppies could be a little bigger, but they were tasty. Everything was seasoned well, not over done, just enough to give it that kick you want in a place like this. Side note, the dipping sauce that comes with the Empanadas is fantastic on the slaw.

Yelp
I went there for lunch a few days ago. It was OK, but Not the best Cajun food I've had. It was not crowded but it was clean and the service was good. OK in a pinch...

Yelp
Awesome flavor on their steamed seafood. Their great prices on their Dungarees & Snow crab legs, shrimp, and vegetables combination steam pot. Will make them a regular restaurant.

Yelp
I have been jonesing for fresh, raw oysters. And I'm cheap. So I saw on FB that oysters on the 1/2 shell were 50% off for Voodoo Happy Hour...so I went! Sat at the bar, and I had a huge Bud Light for 50% off while I waited for my oysters to be shucked. I know oysters ...so I was hoping they were FRESH. They were. Juicy, salty, delicious and FRESH. Also ordered some Tex-Cajun fries because they are ALWAYS awesome. One more big Bud Light and I was out. I will be back!

Yelp
Love the food here. But something happened about a year ago that I can't shake. I asked for a shot of bourbon. After consuming the shot, the manager came up to us at the bar (I think the waitress was too scared to do it) and told me the bottle that they poured from was full of fruit flies. She said she would not charge us for the fruit fly- laden bourbon, but we had to pay for everything else. Still go there, but can't shake the feeling that this place is dirty and I'm rolling the dice.
