Google
Honestly the best donuts in LA. I’ve tried so many of places social media is going crazy about but they have no soul. Just sugar and fluff. This place tastes like going home.

Olena

Google
I was really happy with this place! They gave a generous amount of donuts, which was such a nice surprise. All of them were fresh, soft, and delicious. Highly recommend! Atmosphere it’s no very nice

Google
The donuts here are good, but not great. I was expecting something really exceptional after reading the reviews, but the donuts were about the same as most non-chain places. I liked the Boston cream, but the cinnamon sugar didn’t taste like much. Service is very friendly.

Google
Best Ham, eggs, and cheese croissant in Pasadena. Donuts are fresh every day. Would definitely recommend 👌

Google
We have passed this donut shop for well over 20 plus years....out and about. Boston I decided to drop in and give it a shot. Excellent coffee and their Maple covered donut outstanding. Young lady behind the counter extremely joyful.

Google
Best donut shop in the area, hands down. Donuts are super light and airy, they do not live you feeling super full and they are also not super sweet. Prices are also very reasonable. We tried the breakfast sandwiches as well which and they were super delicious and filling. If you are hungry hungry I would recommend you get one. The thai teas are nice too, I really liked the orange one. Staff is also super friendly and will tell you about all their menu items as well as make recommendations. Highly recommend you go check out BC Donuts if you are in the area!

Nice friendly service. Thank you :)

Google
This is a fantastic family-run donut shop in Pasadena. The servers are friendly and everything tastes fresh and flavorful. I got the Blueberry cake, Maple cake and French crueller and they were all fantastic. Arriving early is essential to get the selection you want. Free parking in lot.

Yelp
Early morning craving matcha and decided to walk over to BC's to try their matcha! Ordered 1 mochi biscoff donut, 1 old fashioned, 1 iced coffee, and 1 iced matcha latte for $16. We accidentally received a glazed donut instead of a plain but before we even noticed, the staff was quick to realize and gave us the plain as well! The donuts were delicious as always! We didn't see any reviews on the iced matcha latte but we were nicely surprised with the creaminess of it!! The matcha is not chalky at all and the color is very deep. Definitely recommend trying BC's matcha if you love family businesses and matcha! Also BC's iced coffee is our go-to iced drink of choice :)

Yelp
What to do when you wake up hungry in Pasadena on a Sunday at 11 - don't judge! - and just KNOW everyplace will be filled with brunchers and at least a 45 minute wait to get in? Head to BC Donuts! Morning crowd has come and gone, but delicious, flaky, warm and gooey ham & cheese croissants are served til close. Lovely lady greeted us and got us all set with donuts, mochi donuts, croissant sammies and beverages faster than I could say mimosa. Hubs got a large coffee and was offered milk or half n half before he stepped to the "fix it" bar and added sugar. I couldn't resist a Thai ice tea which was also as yum as the warm ham n cheese croissants. All donuts were good and satisfying. Shop is small but clean and tidy. Cute Yoda quote on wall, tidy display case and modern menu board all reflect pride of ownership. Already thinking we may do this again tomorrow before going to Huntington Gardens. Cheers! "CC"

Yelp
Got myself donuts today for breakfast. I was asked by my team lead to stop bringing donuts and sweets for the team since I brought donuts for my team every single day last week lol haha!! Ok! Anyway, I went here thinking there was going to be ube mochi donuts (since I saw pics of it on Yelp). They said they ran out (for real... at 6am? Lol). I ended up getting a strawberry mochi donut, biscuit crumb mochi donut, raspberry puff pastry, and a waffle looking pastry thing. Yes, I ate all 4 by myself, lol! All four were very good!! I can eat donuts everyday! I especially liked the mochi donuts. They were super fresh and perfectly textured w that chewy elasticity rice flour is supposed have. The raspberry puff was super flaky and very buttery. The waffle looking thing was good, but a bit sweet for my liking. Definitely coming back for the mochi donuts, those were super yummy!!

Yelp
I can't believe these guys charge $.75 to use a card for purchase less than $10. That's ridiculous.

Ariana T.

Yelp
Always come here for a quick donut and coffee! I love their display as well as choices of donuts and coffee. On top of their coffee selection, they have a fridge with tons of other beverages to choose from. All the employees are also very kind.

Yelp
The BEST donuts in town! The utter comfort of a pink box of donuts is magical and who can resist that with a nice cup of espresso! The staff are beyond great, always with a smile! We have been visiting BC's Donuts for almost a decade now and simply cannot find another donuts/sandwich shop half as good. It was refreshing to see matcha and espresso on the menu. Sandwiches are great value at this shop, each sandwich is two meals for me. Parking can be challenging, depending on the time of visit; I usually parking on the street for a few minutes and it always work out for me.

Yelp
There are few things more comforting in this world than having a trusty, friendly donut shop in your area. BC's is that place for many folks on the east side of Pasadena and dropping by to pick up a box of donuts from the always smiling staff is like having that Xmas morning vibe set on Groundhog's Day rewind. They make a huge selection of traditional donuts and just do it well. In a world where everyone is trying to create the next Frankenstein combination of French pastries, I continue to honor the old fashioned buttermilk glaze as the greatest donut of all time. So get to BC's and have them pack you a pink box full of delectable fried dough and you too will be transported back to your days of youth when you were the first one to lift the lid and take a bite out of each one before anyone noticed.

Yelp
Best donuts in Dena... This place is always fresh service is great places clean love going here. I've been coming for the last 30 years won't let you down.

Yelp
This donut shop has been aro for a long time. It's multgenerational and their is a reason they are still around; Awesome Donuts and great sandwiches. I especially like their maple items like twists, raised and old fashioned.

Yelp
BC Donut has been in business for THIRTYY years. They are in a small plaza on corner of Altadena and Foothill in Pasadena, near the freeway 210 freeway, and have many many regulars as a result of their running a successful donut shop for decades. I've seen the shop go thru renovations over the last few years, becoming more modernized with TVs and new paint. I'm actually not a huge huge fan of donuts in general but I do really like how they make crueler and buttermilk styles. They also have Mochi style donuts and waffle style donuts, which I have never tried but seem interesting. For breakfast items, I have gotten the bacon egg cheese croissant sandwhich a few times and I really enjoy it. A few others including staff have also said this sandwhich is their favorite one on the menu. The croissants for the sandwhich are not made in-house but they are baked onsite, which is still special. It is not great value at almost $10 for a sandwhich, but it is a nice treat to have before or after a long morning. Overall I wish BC another successful 30 years :)

Yelp
My passion fruit drink pretty horrible. Tasted extremely bitter and was brown. The entire fruit was blended in. . . Normally not like that at all so not sure what happened...

Yelp
Completely disgusted! This is not about the taste or quality of food at this establishment (which isn't too good either). This donut joint happens to be on my route to work so I patronize out of convenience. Not anymore! It will never be convenient for me to be overcharged and disrespected as a customer, especially over donuts. The owners have established a policy of a .75 cent charge for using cards rather than cash for orders under $10. The menu items are already overpriced, then if you don't pay with cash, they make you pay for not having cash...in a 75% cashless society. I imagine that most donut shops have an average charge per customer around $5-$7. Don't get me wrong, I completely understand that businesses can also be charged for using payment machines however, charging almost a dollar more on a $5 purchase with no transparency for how it's based on cost of goods or it helps to keep their business going or whatever... just a "take it or leave it" approach? That is unreasonable and it's giving scam. Obviously, not enough people know about their poor business practices. It's not even about if you can afford the cost, it's just wrong. Nobody wants to be overcharged or scammed, regardless. This is the 2nd time, I gave in and accepted their way of overpricing their items because I didn't want to be that annoying customer complaining with a cramped line behind me. The first time I paid $13 for a breakfast sandwich because I requested turkey. I won't even enter the parking lot anymore.

Yelp
** delivery review** This is my partner's favorite donut place in Pasadena, and for a great reason!! The donuts here are always so fluffy and delicious. And the variety is fun to choose from! I've ordered here before but I wanted to make a review for those who order Uber Eats or any delivery service. I ordered from Uber Eats for this place and it was delivered so fast! The order was also packaged very well. Not only that but to our pleasant surprise, we were given extra on the house! Thank you BC's Donuts for making our day as usual! :) FOOD: -Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Croissant (4/5): Decent brekkie croissant! Flaky and was still warm. We added sausage for $2 and it was very good DONUTS: -Bar Donut -Cinnamon Roll Donut -Devil's Cake chocolate icing Donut -Glazed Raised Donut -Sugar French Crueller Donut -Blueberry Glazed Cake Donut -Glazed Buttermilk Bar Donut -Jelly Donut -Chocolate Raised Donut DRINKS: -Thai Iced Tea (4/5): Actually pretty good Thai iced tea!! Wasn't expecting much so I was pleasantly surprised

Yelp
I was an elementary school student when my dad would take me here every other Sunday for donuts after church school. It was always so delicious! My favorites were the maple bars. I use to imagine they were little gold bars before I inevitably devoured them. I'm 28 years old now. I recently came back to this location and the donuts are still reliably delicious and nostalgic for me! They are still the best. The inside may have updated but it still has that same lovable ambiance I remember. The staff has always been friendly throughout the many years too. Even in today's visit, I was gifted a free donut out of the blue. That's awesome! I still like getting the maple bars and pairing it with coffee but I've been slowly experimenting their other items. Keep up the amazing work! These businesses are what makes me proud to have been raised in Pasadena.

Yelp
Great hole in the wall. We tried the sausage and egg croissant and the bacon and egg croissants and they were so fresh and tasty. Got a mix of the donuts too and some of the most fluffy ones I have ever tried
google avatar

Yelp
The best and cleanest donut I have ever had. I do not exaggerate when I say this donut is not one bit stale at all. The service was amazing and one of the best recommendations of donut I have ever had. 10/10 would recommend -CLEAN -DELICIOUS -NOT GREASY AT ALL

Yelp
I was on my way back home, and I wanted to grab some coffee, I stopped by this coffee shop randomly, and tried paying for a coffee with my credit card, because they do accept credit cards, and the machine kept telling it that it was fraudulent credit cards. The owner at the timesaid that the machine kept doing this to other customers as well, but it eventually ended up working, unfortunately not for me. But this guy was so cool, he gave me the iced coffee for free. Now I'm not telling you guys to go get free coffee. But I am telling you guys to pay attention to the act of gesture here. He was super helpful. Gave me the coffee which was 10 out

Yelp
My father said he wanted to buy some donuts for the nurses at his doctors appointment so I looked around the area! I came across BC's on Yelp and figured we would give it a try and we were not disappointed! The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly! We told them out request and they were very accommodating and even answered my father's many questions of their establishment's history. It's a small shop, but the inside décor is done tastefully. If you are in the area and have a sweet craving, I would for sure make a stop at BC's!

Yelp
Amazing donuts and best French Cruellers in Pasadena! Easy parking and the sandwiches are tasty.

Yelp
If your in Pasadena you have to stop. Great people here plus winderful products! Go go go.

Yelp
My 13-year-old asked me to give this review David was very kind to her and his energy was off the charts
google avatar

Yelp
We ordered breakfast sandwiches and they were so delicious! We got an everything bagel with egg, sausage and hash brown. This is easily one of the best breakfast sandwiches around. We also got a croissant with egg, cheese and sausage. Super yummy. Love the Thai iced tea. Donuts are good too! Definitely a favorite spot!
google avatar

Sara H.

Yelp
Have been getting donuts from here for years. We enjoy the quality. Service has also been friendly; However, 5+ dollars for 2 donuts seems alittle much. Also, I'm not a fan of thr businesses asking for a tip as you scan your credit card (on the screen).

Monique S.

Yelp
Called looking for unicorn donuts really last minute and unfortunately they no longer make them. However, they saved my daughters birthday. They made strawberry glazed and cake donuts some with sprinkles. Everyone loved the donuts. They were amazing and when my sister picked up the donuts the owner even gave her unicorn stickers for my daughters birthday. This is a special place, their love and kindness made my daughters birthday. We will be returning again a and again!

Yelp
Great little Dough shop selling all types of donuts from classics to modern versions. Super friendly service with coffee and espresso drinks as well. Still good pricing as well. Keep the independent doughnut hole shops in business! Support your local doughnut hole!
google avatar

Tal G.

Yelp
1st time visiting this spot -- and off of appearance of the donuts alone, I was hopefully. We ordered 3 donuts and 6 donut holes. Well since we always break our donut holes in halves (for our toddler to eat slower) we were surprised to discover hair baked into one of the pieces. As you can imagine, I was both disgusted and disappointed. I understand some things happen but when it comes to hair, hygiene and customer consideration should be factored; it's a wondering if nets are still being used to cover hair? For me, with price point of $1.65 per donut, I expect a better experience than this one.

Alex G.

Yelp
First time here. Cute spot inside. But I noticed I didn't tip for asking for donuts and a sandwich and I was left waiting for 15 min for a sandwich that was cold and waiting in the back. I was waiting with my daughter for 15 min and I had to ask for it for them to go in the back and get it. I felt like cause I didn't tip they purposely waited and didn't tell me it was waiting. We never left the shop so it's not like they didn't see us. I don't think I'd be back off my experience for having a cold over priced sandwich
google avatar

Sevan G.

Yelp
Delicious donuts, yummy breakfast sandwiches and good service ! Never fails. Look at the smile on the little ones face!!!
google avatar

David G.

Yelp
The cinnamon roll tastes greasy, is smaller than other places, and is the most expensive in the area among independent donut shops.
google avatar

Minelie A.

Yelp
They were fresh! We enjoyed it. Specially after many hours, they were still ok. If you are looking for decent place for donuts I would recommend it.
google avatar

E A.

Yelp
Best donuts I've ever had!!! Unbelievably amazing. I can't stop thinking about the strawberry cruller and the raspberry glaze and I need to come back to try the buttermilk and classic!!!!!!!! I wish I lived in Pasadena so I could come here all the time
google avatar

Vito A.

Yelp
I highly recommend the Sausage, Egg, and cheese Croissant Sandwich. I always call ahead of time and they have it ready within 10 minutes.
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place. Family owned and delicious donuts and sandwiches at a good price. Super friendly service.

Yelp
Went with a very basic selection this morning and was not disappointed! The service was extraordinary, and the donuts were super fresh!!

Yelp
Delicious donuts, great breakfast sandwiches!!!! We order all the time. Kids are always happy as well

Yelp
They have the best sandwiches! The breakfast croissants are so good and the Turkey Club is next level!

Yelp
I was blown away by the quality of these donuts! I sampled these at a local tasting event; and I loved their yeast donuts! Very fluffy, great taste, and for the most part, not overly sweet. I had the chance to try four flavors of donut holes: the creme brûlée, fruity pebble, green tea, and regular glazed. The creme brûlée flavor blew me away- the top had a crunchy caramelized shell, and there was a delicious custard inside- not overly sweet either. Such an awesome bite that I am still reminiscing about it now as I write this review late at night. This is definitely my favorite donut flavor from this place. The fruity pebbles donut was my second favorite. I'm not one for cereal on donuts or desserts- just seems a bit overrated- but this donut hole proved me wrong! The crunch from the cereal went really well with the soft, doughy yeast donut. The green tea was great- but the icing was a bit overly sweet; not a really strong green tea flavor. The basic glazed was also good. If you're looking for a unique donut flavor, definitely pay a visit if you're in the area. The creme brûlée donut is worth it, and this place is reasonably priced from what I've read compared to the upscale donut shops.

Yelp
Found BC Donuts on Yelp when I was searching for places in the area that offer custom donuts. The ordering and pick up process was easy and seamless! I coordinated with them on Instagram (their handle is @bcdonuts_pasadena) and told them the letters I wanted as well as the color combination. I placed my order on Tuesday for pick up on Saturday, and they were able to accommodate the short notice! I would recommend placing your order earlier if possible :) The custom donuts that I ordered were a hit! I shared a picture on social media and many of my friends asked where I got them from. They're great for birthdays and other special occasions! I'll definitely be back for more in the future :)

Yelp
As one of what may as well be a thousand Donut shops in Southern California it would be a difficult task to describe anything that makes B.C. Donuts "different," but since 1987 the family owned shop at 2525 East Foothill Boulevard has been serving the residents of Pasadena fried Dough at a fair price starting at 5am daily. No-frills in a good way, cleanly but not "fancy" and cash-only for orders under $10, it was in a white bag that six Donuts were deposited on Thursday, first bites of Blueberry Cake warm and moist while the Buttermilk Bar found Glaze penetrating a few Centimeters beneath the exterior that fries up crisp and oilless. Serving a good variety, Yeast Rings topped with buttery Crumble light and sweet, B.C.'s Cruller unfortunately trends a bit too greasy while Devil's Food and a Sour Cream Old Fashioned are equal to or better than other mom n' pop shops.
google avatar

Ninkasi D.

Yelp
Donuts are fresh and delicious. My favorite is the glazed twist. Recently tried the croissant breakfast sandwiches - sausage and egg, and ham, egg and cheese. Both were also delicious! I live close and usually get my order to go, but there are a few outdoor tables where you can sit and enjoy your food. The staff are always pleasant which rounds out a five-star experience. Be warned: the good stuff runs out early, so don't sleep (in) on this place!
google avatar

Tiff M.

Yelp
Awesome mom and pop store in Pasadena/Alta Dena area. During covid, they have less of their fancy options. Their donuts were very chewy, fluffy and light. The glazed donut wasn't as sweet as the Krispy Kreme donuts. I got 7 donuts for $8 bucks, so it's reasonably priced! Johnny was super nice and patient with taking my list of orders! Make sure to ask for the matcha donut, it's not on the menu!
google avatar

Jaimie K.

Yelp
This place is an absolute gem. The customer service is amazing-- kind and attentive staff.... Always smiling. The breakfast food is so good. My favorite is the Ham and Cheese croissant. Beats any fast food chain by a million points. The mornings are always busy with regulars but they get through the order really fast and so there isn't too much of a wait

McKenna R.

Yelp
My now HUSBAND and I have been going to BC donuts for the past 6 years since being in our duplex near by. They are the absolute best donuts, fantastic sandwiches and diner coffee that is De- LICious and overflowing. They remover the name of anyone who comes more than once and will sometimes throw in a couple extra donut rolls if it's late in the day. They are some of the few people who work to please the customer. Cannot recommend them enough!
google avatar

Vincent B.

Yelp
Heard so many good things about this place, but was seriously disappointed. Picked up a dozen various today (December 27) and took them to my parents. It was like biting into bread filled with oil. Old oil at that. None of us could take a second bite. I hope this was a rare occurrence and that someone new was baking? Will look to give them another chance because they have so many reviews and I know they've been there for a number of years, but they should know.
google avatar

Jennifer W.

Yelp
I have tried a large variety of their donuts and enjoy their French Crullers, Apple Fritter and Blueberry donuts the most. What I like is that they have large variety and have unique flavors, such as taro, black sesame and matcha. You do taste the flavors within the frosting. I tried some other speciality donuts and thought was alright, such as their creme brûlée donut. I think they also do customized donuts. The workers there are super nice and they look family owned. They care about their customers and will let you enjoy choosing your donuts through their window. They also seem to follow the pandemic safety guidelines, wearing masks and gloves and only let customers order outside- which I prefer! They share a small parking lots in the plaza. Since it is bright and pink, you should be able to see it when your driving.
google avatar

Gabriel R.

Yelp
Simply gosh darn good donuts! That's what I generally come for but do nit sleep in the fact that there are a plethora of breakfast items and what is most important to me. Friendly and pleasant staff. I'm sweats in the go so this is my stop by for a quick tasty grab and go

Vivian S.

Yelp
They have the best Ham, egg, and cheese croissants! They have a lot of different breakfast sandwich options to choose from.
google avatar

Will C.

Yelp
My coworkers and I absolutely love the donuts here. Everytime I bring donuts for our staff, they're always asking where this donut place is. Everything I've tried is really good here, but I love their glazed with coconut. What I love about this place is that everyone who works here is so nice. I've been coming here for years they've always been so nice and friendly with all their customers.
google avatar

Lydia S.

Yelp
Stopped by twice, never left disappointed. Don't let the exterior fool you, this place has a lot of unique donuts in addition to the staples. Their regular menu is expansive and solid, with A LOT of cake options that will please people like me who prefer cake over raised style! They offer some pricier specials on the weekends, and I got to try some of those too. Really cute! And the ones I ate (saved some for others) were delicious and lived up to social media hype, particularly the ube cake donut. I'll delve into a few of the more social media famous items... Picked up some celebratory donuts from BC Donuts, in Pasadena. Most of these are their pricier specials but the regular menu is still excellent. I took a couple of close-up pictures of the ube/taro cake donut and s'mores raised donut, because I think those are the ones most people see on social. The crème brûlée donut is often advertised, and while plain looking, it really does taste exactly like a crème brûlée... I preferred it with a burnt (dark) sugary crust, but that's just luck of the draw. It tastes good less burnt too. The ube one lives up to the hype. It is light and cakey, not as dense as traditional buttermilk or old-fashioned cake donuts. The ube cake isn't too sweet either, so the layer of frosting and Oreos add nice flavor. Their black sesame cruller and matcha raised donuts are also worth trying.
