We enjoy eating here, we get such a bang for our buck. My guy and I have lunch here occasionally and it’s always peaceful. The stations were filled, the cook was awesome, and our waitress was cool. We picked the perfect bowl combinations and the mango and peach lemonades were awesome!! We always do lunch, if you’re dining for lunch please make sure they are charging you the lunch price. Other than that, we always have a great experience!!

Food is delicious and the service is good. The meet could be a bit more presentable and look less saggy. The guy on the grill on point. The place could be a bit cleaner. That’s why I gave it only 3 stars for the atmosphere everything else 5 stars.

I took my family to this restaurant, yesterday after finding it on Google. We had never heard of it. We showed up around 11:30am (they opened at 11am), their hostess/waitress (she was doing both which is not the easiest thing to do)was extremely pleasant/helpful to us and walked us around to show us the concept of the restaurant service. It was nicely set up, fresh/raw food (you gather your own ingredients), they had excellent grill personal who cooked our combinations to perfection and they was even other beautiful families there who were friendly and also seem to be enjoying the service as much as my family. We were a party of 4 and spent only $80, normally I spend $100+ on Lunch/Brunch when we go out. I was glad that we ventured out and tried something new...we will definitely be back! Great Service! 👍🏽

I absolutely love this place! Iove being able to design my own dishes and have them cooked right in front of me. They have a decent selection of everything and there's surely something you'll like here. This one isn't nearly as busy (at least when I go which is usually lunch @12ish) as the other ones I go to which is surprising. The cooks there know what they are doing and everything is speedy! Great experience if you've never been, girlfriend and I are repeat customers!

Unfortunately Covid has presented many challenges to Businesses and Customer Service seems to be at the top of the list. Out for lunch with friends who chose this as their desired lunch spot. Horribly disappointed to be first told that we couldn’t sit where we wanted because it was off limits, although it was virtually empty when we arrived with only two seated guest and only one other table of two guest that arrived upon our exit. Firstly! The server was rude, never brought water to the table, gave us a slip to choose the items we wanted, yet brought the food to the table with half the checked off veggies on the plate, as well as cheese on the salads after us stating no cheese. Never returned to replenish the rice or ask if there were refills needed. The table wasn’t cleaned prior to our seating so we had to bring that to her attention. The food was cold, as it either wasn’t brought over promptly or the air was much to high, either way it’s a NO for me to return. It’s extremely important to treat all guest as valued patrons. That wasn’t our experience. Hoping this was a bad day for the server, non the less, I hope no one else has this experience moving forward. The little things are the BIG things. Guest should always be offered water as a courtesy prior to their meal, and a simple follow up on how the meal is tasting. 1 Star because the over all experience wasn’t pleasing.

The food was good since it is something I came up with and The serve was really nice. MY sparkling strawberry water was flat but the plain sparkling water was good.. I really disliked how unclean the tables and food counters was! We also waited for a hour for a table and when we was seated, the place was empty with plenty of available tables. They could have gave us the option to sit at two tables near each other.

Google
Pretty good experience. Food was good. Staff is good. They have a policy that if you have a party of six or more; only one person pays, or you can not sit together. (Kind of weird) Also a 20% tip is automatically applied to the bill for a party that size. (Which is fine)

Google
This restaurant is very dirty and not well kept up. Definitely will not be going here again. Feces on the floor in the restroom. The food had definitely been sitting out and not maintained. Everything was mixed together from falling off other people plates.

Yelp
Sorry for the late post but I went here (6.30.23) Honestly not the best. At all. The lemonade strawberry was eh okay and the food has a very weird taste. The service here was good. And there was a leak by the front when we arrived. Others in my party can disagree with me and they could give this spot a 3 at best.

Yelp
Dinner with co workers . We all got the build your own bowls. I got a side salad first. Tasted great. I built my bowl. Stacked it up. Came out great ,great flavor. Also had a tall draft beer. Our waitress Brittany did a great job. Enjoyed my dinner. So did co workers.

Yelp
Great Mongolian bbq style restaurant! Drinks were awesome and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive!

Yelp
I'm enjoying this food tremendously!! It's ambiance is great and clean. The service is fast and easy !!!

Yelp
I haven't been to BD's Mongolian in quite some time, always loved the salad bar and soup with bowl. Under new ownership and they don't have soup/salad any longer, was disappointed. Our waitress Olivia was very nice and attentive. The chicken and steak were excellent, very tender and not over cooked. Sauce station still had a variety, however dry seasonings limited and no peanuts :(. Rice is now served to you when food is done cooking. There is a charge for tortillas - (5)/$1 if something you wanted, whereas before there wasn't a charge. Hummus was ok, but have had much better. Crab rangoons were small and a bit dry, $7.99/5

Kay F.

Yelp
This restaurant needs a deep cleaning. The food area was horrible. Food dropped on the floor. Had to step around it. Area not being wiped down. The sauces area had spills all over. The cooking area, well that's not one days mess. And the ladies restroom..was filthy. No toilet paper and urine all over the floor. Hostess was not friendly at all. She acted like we were disturbing her. The waitress brought our bowls and never came back to see if we needed anything. We had to take our bill up to the bar to pay it. I won't go back. So many restaurants on Michigan Ave so don't need to go there. Don't recommend at all.

David H.

Yelp
They no longer have a salad bar, you get a scoop of rice, tortilla's are extra. I noticed the steak to be really watery and mushy while I was loading up my bowl which had me a little concerned. There were no jalapenos like they have had for years and there were not much for dry seasons like the had in the past. I understand inflation has got everybody, the changes of taking things away and raising the prices together is kind of a shiity move.

Charlton T.

Yelp
Service at this location is the worst in the Dearborn area I suggest Buddy's across the street

Ian F.

Yelp
Have always loved going here...but seems this last year they don't care anymore....go in get seated....wait 20 min ....get told "we will be with you soon...." And....we wait longer. Really sad they have fell this far down and hard this last year (staff issues?h Hopefully they will get the staff back and get back to who they were....untill then...not giving them our business. Tonight is the 2nd time in a month period we have walked out...sad. And honestly...it is a Tuesday night...they were not even 1/2 full at 7:30pm...and no service. Good luck!

Jeremy N.

Yelp
Very busy location during the lunch rush, so plan accordingly! I've always been a fan of the Bd's Mongolian BBQ concept. There's always a ton of different food items that you can chose from to build the perfect bowl for your appetite. During the lunch rush though, unfortunately, some of the food options are empty or running lower due to the amount of people that are there. You also end up standing in line for a long period of time with your heavy bowl waiting to get up to the grill. There needs to be a spot where you can place your bowl near you as you're waiting. All in all, you get the food you want but most of the time it takes a while to get to that point.

Rob P.

Yelp
There really isn't much to separate this Mongolian grill from any other, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The appeal of this sort of set up is that you get to play chef with your food. You pick the ingredients, add your spices, and if it doesn't taste good, it's basically on you. And, it's hard not to eat healthy here. But, the fact of the matter is, it's really hard to go wrong here. Just about anything thrown together in a stirfry tastes good, in my opinion. As I normally find at this location, the meats and vegetables are well stocked, and varied. There is a large array of sauces and seasonings, too. The only problem on this particular visit was that, for whatever reason, they didn't have any rice ready. We got there right after they opened, and you'd think rice is something they would have ready. But, maybe the rice guy didn't show up today. Prices for lunch are reasonable, too: $10.49 for a single trip bowl, which is plenty for me.

Kim H.

Yelp
First time at Mongolian Grill. Love the concept. You are able to fill up the bowl they give you with whatever you like at the veggie- meat- fish- seasoning stations and then they cook it for you ! There a big variety of things to pick from but the stations were to get your food were pretty messy and can be kept up much better. It's fun to watch them cook your food ! They bring rice to your table , white rice to enjoy. Overall would have given better rating if they would keep c better storage of the food and better cleaning protocol around the good bar

Cody N.

Yelp
Fairly clean, the meat on the bowl buffet had a ton of liquid, which I suspect is from them adding more meat to the tray without cleaning it out. The kid running the grill had an earbud in and did a pretty bad job, one guy asked him a question, several times and even respectfully raised his voice to try to get a response as the kid walked past him. Nada. I'll never go back, mediocre food, kinda pricey and a rude cook. The waitress was good. Maybe just one bad egg, but when that egg is the main attraction/cooking your food... tons of other good options within walking distance.

Yelp
We came together as a group with my grown children's and their family to celebrate their father my Ex-husband birthday. I've been here before with a male friend and the service Was nice, The pandemic has cause the services to be horrible. I went to the salad bar and ask for some spinach to make my salad and both employee said we don't have any. The salad bar was bar need to be refresh. When the waitress brought the rice to the table I asked her which one was wheat from the plain rice she told me to look and find out for myself; I ask her is that they way you serve. I talk with the lady manager I asked her about the spinach and she said we don't have any more; within two minutes they said we have spinach. No one mind paying the gratitude I leave additional tips because I understand. The waiter needs attitude adjustment to work with customer services, in 2019 this was the spot! The cooks I give a shout out !!!

Cristina M.

Yelp
food was great food was still hot and fresh as always! service was on time and directions followed. ambiance as always!

Yelp
I love this concept, but its always so poorly executed. Its always a few years in between visits, then someone asks about going, and I'm like its been so long, why haven't I been back? Let's write this review so I can remember next time. Upon entry, it was dark, not the best smell, and the hostess had the worst look on her face. Like she hated her job and someone had JUST pissed her off. We had to speak to her first, and then she grabbed menus and turned to walk away. She was talking, but it was loud, and she mumbled so that I had to ask her to repeat what she said. She asked if we had been there before and if we were celebrating anything. In fact we were celebrating my husbands birthday- but why did she ask? nothing special was done. **After walking up the ramp, - I barely made it, because it was so sticky/dirty that my flip flops made me trip. My flip flops made so much noise, you could hear how sticky the floor was. It was nasty- but we said okkkay. Maybe there was a rush and they havent cleaned yet. ** Our waitress was nice enough. not great, but not bad, she didnt go the extra mile but she checked in on us and got us refills in a timely manner. *The soup was disgusting, a brother that was separated and tasteless. There were no soup bowls up there, so the waitress had to have some brought up. *The salad bar was minimal: lettuce, onions, cottage cheese, cheese, carrots, olives, croutons. *The meat section was horribly mixed up. Chicken, marinated chicken, steak, sirloin, marinated fajita steak, pork. Shrimp, krab, noodles. The different chickens were mixed, the "sirloin" was mixed into the "smokey" steak. *The seafood had a larger divider, but it apparently didnt work well, because I served chicken into my bowl , and there was a rogue shrimp. Everything in me said, dont eat this bowl. This got Cross contamination/Food Poisoning all over it. I ate the bowl anyway- not wanting to cause a fuss. You go up to the grill so they can cook your food, and i feel like they dont really pay any mind to you. Just take your stuff, and if you dont tip, the food isnt cooked that great. They throw the sauce over it all messy, not really paying attention, most of the sauce hits the grill and not the food. Dumb. I NEVER ONCE saw any cook wash their hands, when I looked at the hand sink in the corner, it did not appear to be wet or utilized recently. *** I ended up getting sick after we ate here. My husband got sick after we ate here.*** The price per meal for the unlimited bowl is $17 dollars. The food is in no way worth damn near 20 dollars per person. I hope next time someone recommends BDs, i check Yelp- so i can be reminded to NOT go.

Aaron A.

Yelp
THE BEST bd's Mongolian grill cook works here...blows the others out of the water! Asked how we wanted the steak, was moist, knew his temperatures and times...phenomenal

Chris H.

Yelp
Wow... All I can say is wow. This used to be a great restaurant, but that's all changed. We arrived at around 5pm and it wasn't very busy. We waited for awhile for the hostess to even come over to the hostess stand. Then we waited for another 5-7 min for her to find us a table in the half empty restaurant. Once seated at our sticky table, we waited another 5-7 minutes for our waitress to take our drink orders. She was friendly enough and we each ordered a single bowl. She arrived back with our bowls which were much smaller than our last visit, 5 forks, and 1 napkin (there were 4 of us). Ok, whatever. We got up to make our bowls and were extremely disappointed in both the variety and quality of the selections. There used to be lamb, different types of beef, large shrimps, all of high quality. That all got switched out with cheaper meats such as meatballs, sausage, etc., the "steak" was more like thick gristle, and the shrimp may as well have been plankton they were so small. The sauces were equally as disappointing. They were cheaper quality than before & the station was disgusting. After stacking our bowls as high as humanly possible to get our money's worth (the prices are higher now), we headed to the grill. The 3 people working the grill cooked everything ok, but never once engaged the patrons. They half heartedly did their jobs and shuffled you on your way. Upon returning to our table, our drinks and rice had arrived. The drinks were fine but the brown rice was super sticky, overcooked, and there wasn't much of it. Our waitress was nowhere to be found, so I had to go up to the bar to get enough napkins for our table. The food was mediocre at best. Not worth anywhere near the cost of dinner. It's a shame that BD's has gone downhill so far. The staff, food, cleanliness, and even other clientele leave A LOT to be desired. Visiting BD's used to be a fun experience with great food & an engaging staff. Not anymore. Cheap ingredients, staff that acts like they're doing you a favor by being there, and dirty tables/food stations ruined it. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for a good meal!

Tiffany N.

Yelp
1st time at this location. Service was good. Restaurant was clean and not overly crowded

Lauren D.

Yelp
Worst thing they ever did was not let us make our own bowls. Honey, my food was DISGUSTING! My girlfriends noodles were literally burned to a crisp. I tried about 4 different sauces to try to make my plate better. 0/4 succeeded. Never again

Nicole E.

Yelp
Can't beat a made to order your way at this place. You have no one else to blame if your food is no good, you are after all the chef assembling it together. If your food stinks then perhaps it's best to leave it to a chef to put your food together in the end. :) Always go with less on the spice, you can always add more later, but you can't take it away once it is there. ;) Also I put some spices and sauce onto the dish before it goes to the grill. The sauce you put in the little bowl for the grill master only goes on at the last second and has little opportunity to seep into the dish much while it is cooking. I have never gone hungry at this place. There's a strategy to add certain sturdy vegetables to the perimeter of the bowl or dish to give you more room in the bowl to pile high with whatever you want before it hits the grill. Practice makes perfect! Tell the grill master if you want your meat cooked a bit less, otherwise they will grill it to make sure it 's good and dead (dry). Have fun with your invention and be conservative the first time around. You will learn as you go what you like or don't like.

Graziella B.

Yelp
For a good stir fry, this is the place. You can pile up your bowl to almost overflow. The best way to get the right seasoning and juices is add them first to your bowl and then take a few side small sauce bowls to add while they're cooking your food! Our waitress Megan was very helpful and attentive. Going on a Monday night was great because there were about 10 - 15 people in the restaurant while we were there. Their Rangoon appetizers are really good and fresh.

Amanda B.

Yelp
The food was awesome and there are many varieties to choose, if you're a foodie you'll appreciate this. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was really good. We ordered white rice and tortillas just in case for our meals. We ended up getting brown and a server immediately switched it out no questions asked. We did the unlimited bowls and got drinks so we could try a few different combos. I first had a egg/ noodle mix with sprouts. The ingredients were all fresh and the cooks were quick to getting to everyone. They had about 8 plates going at once, once again under 10minutes . If this was a normal restaurant I'd be waiting 20min easily. The next combo was sirloin with broccoli & teriyaki sauce. It was delicious. My friend did the throw anything in a bowl, still came out amazing lol. I would really like to see a digestion combo menu or a sign so I could play into the sauces more. I didn't want to put something on and it come out gross. The bathrooms were very clean, even workers other than our servers were attentive. I recommend coming here again. Our bill was $40 for two people plus the $10 tip for awesome service :)

Allison F.

Yelp
So as the certified I've-been-going-for-10-years Duchess of Mongo, I figured it would be helpful to write an update to my previous review! Things have changed a little bit since I first wrote my review, but overall it's still the same concept... create your own dish and watch the grillers cook it up for you. I'm gonna share some of my secrets! **Their sauce bowls have gotten much, much smaller over the past four years. If you're like me and like it saucy, grab a SOUP cup instead (by the salad bar). No one minds if you do this, and it makes for more creativity when mixing sauces. **If you want a knife to cut up your meal after it's cooked, grab one while you're creating your bowl (by the raw meats). They don't come rolled in the napkins anymore, so avoid waiting for your server to visit the table and grab one. **If you're allergic to anything they offer, OR if you're very picky like me, you can ask the grillers to put up the metal guards on the grill. This helps ensure your dish is exactly how you envisioned it... without all those tomatoes or slimey shrimp mixed in. **Sit at the bar if it's just you or the two of you. The bartender doubles as a server, and since the bartender can't leave the bar for long, you'll never be without service. You'll get quick refills and new bowls if you want to go for seconds (or thirds!). Plus, there are three TVs that play all different types of sports and shows, so if your company sucks, at least you can watch the tube. **Pay attention to their daily drink specials. On the weekends, they usually feature $4 Long Islands or $5 Margaritas. This can save you some dough over picking a more expensive cocktail. **Sign up for their e-mail list for awesome coupons (especially that coveted free birthday stir-fry!). They will announce specials like their recent 2 for $25 deal that included two stir fry meals and an appetizer or large dessert to share. Alrighty, so I hope this review is helpful for people who've never been to Mongo, or even those other seasoned pros out there. Go Mongo!

Yelp
+ My bowl was cooked perfectly - It's work to build your bowl, and Noisy, Noisy, Noisy It was my first time in this chain. We got here at 9:30pm and we still had to wait. Boy this place is busy. We waited for 10 minutes and then they sat us, right near the noisy grill, and the gong Oh well. Server was nice, explaining to us that we get a bowl, we load it up with meats, veggies, and sauce in another cup, then they cook it. It's fun, but I can see this concept getting old (for me) fast. It is indeed nice to pick your own contents but picking up slimy chicken and sirloin is not the prettiest thing to look at. I'm sure it's fresh. All the veggies looked great. I chose the Kung Pao sauce, nice and spicy (but not too much). They cook it up on the grill, you can feel the heat. I don't like how some of another person's food can contaminate your food. I heard you can get those metal guards but nobody asked me if I wanted them. The cook was friendly, but I didn't see a lot of tricks with the blades. My food was cooked well, and tasted very good. We chose the tortillas and brown rice, which tasted well. The dish really filled me up. I can't see getting the unlimited salad bar with it. Maybe I would go up one more time for another dish, but we got dessert, and the Brownie with vanilla ice cream was to die for. Hot brownie too. So yummy, highly recommended! The place is very open so it's super noisy. They need to put up some short walls, to cut down on the noise and not make it feel like an open cafeteria. Would I go back? Yeah, I guess, but it's not a whole lot of fun to me. I personally like to be served my meal and not having me work for it. Perhaps if it was cheaper it would be a better value and worth it. But for $12.99, and $6 for the dessert, it's not that reasonable.

Phred N.

Yelp
1-No air conditioning. Hot AF in there. 2-Slow service from a server with horrible breath that acted like she did not want to be there. It's not as if they have to actually bring your food to the table... 3-Horrible food. No matter what you order, everything tastes like that giant bowl they cook in. I don't care if you order beef, chicken, or shrimp. It all tastes like that bowl hadn't been cleaned since Jesus was a baby. Seriously. Like feet. I ordered the quesadillas so I wouldn't have to wait in the long-ass line just to have your food cooked. Still tasted like feet. 4-Filthy restrooms. 5-Didn't remove dirty dishes from the table to the point where there wasn't room to put the drink refills that took forever to get. 6-Obviously we won't be back. Hayley F. Did you not see #6?

Yelp
This mongolian bbq is mediocre-ish. Most of the time its alright but 90% of the time I'm getting something to go. I've never had any issues with the to-go service at the bar.that part has always been good actually. Tonight in particular... There was no one at the host stand when I came in or when I left. The meat area seemed ok for the most part. (No fault of Mongos.. The slowest person that ever lived was infront of me picking each individual piece of chicken into his bowl. I lost my mind. Lol) The veggie area was almost all mixed together from one bin to the next. I understand things mix a little but there was so much mixed the next step would be dumping it all together in a heap. The sauces were almost all empty. A lot had chunks of food (hopefully veggies and not raw meat) that were at the bottoms of the sauce containers. The salad bar items were cut in huge chunks. Tops of tomatoes and ends of the cucumbers were sliced and thrown in with everything. Nothing seemed to be totally cut all the way through. The black olives tasted like they had soured. All of the dressing was filled and clean though. Normally 3.5....generously 2 stars. Mostly for the service.

Josh C.

Yelp
This place is pretty fantastic. Build-your-own stir fry means absolutely anyone can get a meal that they enjoy. My being vegan isn't at all a hindrance to hanging out with old friends of mine because we can all have what we want. They head to the meat counter while I make a break for the broccoli and tofu! Not all of the sauces are vegan (or even vegetarian) but they still have plenty of options to choose from. The grillers block off my meal from the others to prevent contamination, and then back to the table for steamed tortillas and rice (they offer both brown and white). Also, they make tall, strong drinks here, which certainly helps the experience. I dig the Whiskey Blue Sky (or some such title like that) and whatever is the drink special of the day. A select few friends of mine are often meeting here, which is fortunate because I'll always associate pure good times with this location. I only wish it weren't so expensive - I make a mean stir fry at home for much less. But, you go out for the experience of it, and this place sure has that!

Bailey B.

Yelp
Been coming here for years. The servers are always friendly and the grillers always do a great job. They recently changed the way they serve it, now the rice comes underneath the stir fry, which I think is a huge improvement! This place is unlike any other place I've been to. We love mongo!

John C.

Yelp
The restaurant is clean and the bar looks very busy at times. The ambience is nice. The bathrooms are clean. Staff is very nice and can be very hospitable. The salad bar can be very fresh. Now here is the problem. With so much chicken, beef and seafood, I find the quality of the food to be lacking in taste. Maybe it was frozen, I do not know. The beef is not of a good quality. What part of the cow is this meat from? The chicken is rubbery and lacks any texture. This chicken is of a very poor quality. The cooks can be helpful but I feel pressure to tip them over and over because it sort of feels like they will not give you good service, if you don't tip. The food lacks in taste because you are not really tasting the beef or chicken, you are tasting the spices and the toppings. Food is cheap! And I mean that in a metaphoric way.

Bethany E.

Yelp
'We Do It On A Grill' is their slogan. Always makes me chuckle and appreciate their sense of humor. Their food... even better! I've visited several other locations of BD's. Whenever I come back to Michigan it is a must to stop in for a meal. I don't know the true definition of a Mongolian Grill, I still appreciate the wide variety of meats, seafood, toppings and sauces they have to offer. To me it's the best place for a meal of stir fry. You can choose from beef, lamb, chicken, shrimp, crab, scallops and many more options. Their vegetables and toppings are fresh and always filled. Sauces? Well, there are about 20 with about a dozen more dry spices to add. This is why I love it. You can make countless combinations and never have the same meal for a very long time. Once you've piled your bowl high of your creation, just take it over to the professional grillers for a show. Many of them seem to grasp having fun while working. It's fun to watch them get into their grilling techniques and have fun with the guests. What has 2 thumbs and loves BD's? This girl!

Yelp
Great place; on the weekends definitely busy but quiet most weekdays. I love the selections. Decent salad bar but the iceberg lettuce is the con. (2/23/17) They recently added a spring mix to their salad bar which is better. The salad plates could be a different design. I understand most people are here for the stir fry but the plates for He salad could be a little bigger or round. Potstickers have a great taste. They have added some new options to the menu. Service is usually pretty good. Be careful if you have food allergies; not much they can do to keep patrons from mixing tongs or food in the self serve areas. They are willing to cook your food in the back if you prefer but it doesn't always have the same taste as being cooked in the front. Be creative! You have a lot of options. Yelp
So a friend and I came to this restaurant at 2:30. they then made us wait for 10-15 minutes before being seated. There was a family be for us that had been waiting even longe. once we were seated our drink order was taken. It was a 3-5 minute. we both ordered iced tea which were sweet. The waiter brought our drinks and said she'll be right back with straws. She never came back the the straws she help about 7 other tables and when she walked back by us we stoped her for straws she had a bit of a attitude when we asked. So about other 10-15 minutes go by and we are ready to order but she is still walking around in circle. Once she finally comes to our table she asked if we understood how things work and we said yes. And then we told her we'd like to order. And again she had a attitud, but anyway we told her what we wanted and then she makes a about how next time we should have just done what everyone else was doing. First off if a person wanted to make their own bowl they would. And if they want to trying something off the menu, they should be able to without the smart comment or attitude. It is your job as a waiter to take orders and serve the. just because you don't feel like walking from the back to tables with their food is not the customer's problem and they shouldn't be given attitude about. Anyway we order two bowls and a Korean quesadilla. For some reason the bowls came out before the app did. Which was really odd. On to the food the bowls were both pretty bad. The quesadilla was the best thing we ordered. Overall probably won't come back just because of the service alone. The food could really be better, don't get me wrong it smelled good but it wasn't as good as it smelled. definitely would not recommend.

Yelp
My wife and I came here to celebrate our birthdays with my parents and our autistic daughter, arrived at 7:45 the restaurant was fairly dead and we were told that even though the restaurant was open for over an hour we would not be seated. Absolute crap, if your open then you're seating customers. Thanks for ruining 2 birthdays in one shot BD, I called ahead, drove for 45 mins, parked absurdly far away because they only have 2! Handicapped spots and stood waiting at the podium for 10 mins to be turned away! Currently riding home with a screaming starving 4 year old because of this, I won't be eating here ever again, eating here used to be a birthday tradition for my family, now it's dead. I wonder if the owners know they are turning away hundreds of dollars in business because lazy. workers don't want to have to clean up after closing time I'd be pretty angry at the manager and staff if that's how they treat the business and it's customers. With all the choices nearby this way of doing business will end BDs especially in this economic climate, people don't have money to waste, so if they choose your business to spend what little they have, be grateful

Yelp
This was one of my fave restaurants growing up. Came here for birthdays often. I no longer live in Michigan so I haven't been in probably 10 years. Other than the change in meat (which is understandable because the price of food in general is up everywhere), I enjoyed my food. The service was a bit slow, it's possible my waitress was stretched too thin? Not sure. But overall, I enjoyed the walk down memory lane.

Yelp
I have been coming here for many years, always a great location for Michigan. Family friendly, great servers, spacious and all around clean atmosphere. Took a while to be seated but we were able to sit at the bar enjoy very friendly bartenders for shots n cocktails, all the drinks at the bar were very good-we tried a couple different ones all were awesome and very good prices. I love the energy of all the employees here, I watched the Mongolian employees cover each other, working as a team. I just wanna say thank you all for making my experience great, it made my day. I will see you guys soon

Yelp
Boy this place went downhill. We came in tonight with a party and when we all went up to make our bowls, the bar with meat, fish and chicken was literally empty. There were noodles and some frozen chicken (too frozen to scoop into bowls) and the shrimp smelled so putrid I wanted to vomit. There were fizzy bubbles in the shrimp, it just looked wrong... They way ketchup does when it goes bad. Eventually, they brought out some beef but we ended up doing vegetarian bowls. We will never visit again. Very sad because this place has an excellent location.

Yelp
Today was my not so little cousin's 19th birthday. We had about a party of 15 and the staff made sure we were comfortable. The drinks were good and the price decent. (No my little cousin did not get a drink). I had a standard angry orchard. My cousin ordered a mango margarita. My other cousins had the watermelon margarita. I requested that our table was near an outlet so that I can make sure my phone stayed charged. Kiddos they did. The food was great. I stuck with chicken, pork and a lot of veggies and pasta. It was great. I used a mix of buffalo sauce, curry and a bbq. The bill was nice. I only gave it 4 stars because the parking was a hassle. There's many businesses around so sometimes you have to park further. This is okay unless it's raining.... Like it was tonight.

Yelp
Arrived at 5:10 for a 5:15 reservation. At 5:45 we were still not seated. I asked the host how much longer and was told another 15-30 minutes as there was still two reservations ahead of us. A reservation means that your table is ready when you arrive. What is the point of a reservation if I have to wait an hour to get a table. The location is ran by a bunch of young adults that clearly don't care about customer service. The entire restaurant was in complete disarray, everyone everywhere walking around dazed and confused. In my period of time that I waited had to use the restroom, FILTHY! The restroom was worse then a maximum security prison that was vacant for the last 20 years. I attempted to call bd's corporate office, the only option is to leave a message no matter what button you push. Well guess what, NO CALL BACK! I think they have everyone leave a message because they can't field all the negative calls directly. Will NEVER return!

Yelp
I'm giving you three stars today because of the douche David that was cooking the food on the grill. Service was good food was good but I will not come back because of how David made me feel. It was my first time there and I really didn't know what to do after I had gotten everything at my bowl so I just walked up to a number and stood there and he definitely made me feel like an idiot as he told me you're standing in someone else's spot I need you to move over here and put your bowl there. You could've been a little nicer maybe said hello and instead of talking to the guy the entire time that was stand next to me and the first thing you ask me or say to me you all right. Manager guy that was standing back there with him the whole time. Didn't say a word either. Pick somewhere different to go

Yelp
This is a nice place if you like lots of options! Most people seems to go for their buffer which is good. They have lots of veggies, all kinds of meat, pork and seafood. I was impressed that they have crawfish. Lots of good sauces you can choose from as well. I've been to other similar restaurants, it was a nice change that you can get white rice, brown rice and even tortillas. Nice place, a great lunch option. I would also consider coming here for dinner.

Yelp
We got there at 4pm on a Sunday and there were plenty of open seats yet we had to wait for 10 minutes to be seated. The food was good however and the staff is very friendly. Overall, it's an "ok" value for the money.

Yelp
This place has changed for the better! I brought my mom in with me, and she previously said she didn't like mongos. Her opinion completely changed. Their food is much better than it used to be, and the new unlimited bowls make you feel like you are really getting you money's worth. Our waitress, Kelsee, was very nice and attentive. They stay on top of bringing you bowls and your pop. (The best part is they have a coke machine in the back). Lastly, I checked in on Yelp and was able to get a free order of fried oreos. The manager, Jacob, was more than happy to take our yelp coupon and was a very good manager. He was attentive and walked around the entire time we were there checking on tables and helping to clear the tables for the waitresses. Over all, I thought the place was a great experience and was well operated. I will definitely be back again.

Yelp
I love Mongolian barbecue! I've been making the same bowl for 20 years. I never experiment. The thing is you have to use trial and error to find what you like. It's amazing and this location is one of the best around. If you don't like it the first time around it's best to experiment with a different bowl until you find what you like. I always use the Asian black bean sauce which is very salty and does not taste like black bean. It's incredible I have recommended it to others and it's been known to be a game changer. I also recommend downloading the app for the point system and freebies.

Yelp
I, along with my family and friend, had lunch at Mongolian BBQ and we had a great time. I only visit certain locations because some of them are not clean & dirty dishes were left on tables and the floor for ridiculous lengths of time. At this particular location it was clean and the stir fry food bar seemed to be well stocked. The cookers had great personalities and were very entertaining which makes it fun while waiting for your food. I ordered the crab rangoon as an appetizer and had to return it because it was too dry. Maybe it was overcooked, I don't know. I also didn't like their version of their ranch dressing on my salad because it didn't taste anything like ranch. Word of advice "STOP WATERING DOWN THE SALAD DRESSINGS TO CUT COST!". Since it was Friday I always love to have a good, hot bowl of "thick" clam chowder. Well there was clam chowder however, it wasn't thick but more like "very" watery chowder so I passed with disappointment. Now to the main dishes. The stir fry was very tasty & good. (But what would you expect, you create your creation. Duh! ) I devoured my plate with no leftovers and was very satisfied. If you go with a hearty appetite I would suggest ordering the unlimited stir fry and try new creations. Would I recommend this particular location? Absolutely! It's a nice place to dine with your whole family including kids, or with friends. Although parking can be a pain because there is limited "free" parking, there are other areas you can park but you do have to pay. (Parking lot as well as parking meters are available) Now my last comment which is not just against this particular restaurant but other restaurants as well. I absolutely HATE when the waiter/waitress reaches over me to pass something to someone at my table, especially if they are reaching over my drink or food which unfortunately happened a couple times during this visit. I just want to say to all the waiters/waitresses out there "please take the few extra steps and walk around DON'T REACH OVER SOMEONE OR THEIR FOOD!". Not only will it make your patrons a lot happier, you may get a better tip. And remember that taking extra steps contributes to a healthier heart.

Yelp
Ashely, our waitress was great, but the supervisor for the night was terrible. First- were in a tough time and masks are required everywhere. The supervisor/manager was preparing our food without gloves and a mask... we had to tell Ashley, and she told him. He made it over with a mask, no problem. What I asked for was too salty. I asked to have it made over. He kindly prepared it and cooked it, but when it was delivered- it was too peppery... I think all of that is more so an adjustment of not making your own bowl. I took two bites and called it quits. What really disappointed me is that he did not even have enough respect to come and ask me if it was "better" or "ok". He left it to the waitress to take care of it. Shame on him. If our waitress wasn't so sweet, I wouldn't have tipped $10 on a $50 bill... seeing as I still paid for my disgusting meal, but it wasn't her fault. Start hiring better managers/ shift leaders because the one that worked tonight was not worthy of the role. I've been going to BD's for years and again, although times are different, the customer service of this establishment was a disgrace.

Yelp
Create your own stir fry is a nice concept as you know what goes in your meal plate. This was the first time I have been here even though I have heard about it. My teammates helped me. But any newbie also can create without much help. Select your protein, veggies, sauces, powder. An experienced person can get max out of the small bowl. Place your bowl in the grilling station and get your bowl ready. You can let the grill master know if you want to cook for little more time. There are plenty of options to choose from each section. If you would like to not mix in the common grilling station, they can do it for you inside. It would be nice if the tables are cleaner. Somethings are not cooked well. My team mate left most of the beef as he didn't liked it.

Yelp
I don't give 1 star review too often in the fear of the owner come looking for me or the cook spitting in my food, but there is no fear as I have no plans to eat at Mongolian BBQ again. Unbelievable that there is often a long wait here! It's NOT worth the wait. Actually, I wouldn't go back here event if the food was free. A good place for those who cannot tell between good food and bad food. It's sad that there are line full of people that cannot tell Mongolian BBQ serves bad good. SERVICE / ATMOSPHERE: You get to watch the cooks shout and spits all over your food while they bang a gold plate, which I assume makes them feel "Mongolian." No skills involved in their cooking, but they expect tips. FOOD: Ingredients are really low quality - bordering health risk. Cooking method is unacceptable. You fill your bowl with ingredients of your choice and you pour the sauce, before it's cooked!!! Therefore, when the food is placed on the grill, it's already soaked in liquid and boils the food rather than grill.
