Be Bright COFFEE

I've had Be Bright Coffee a few times at Smorgasburg. There is always a line because we all need our caffeination in the morning, right!? And Be Right gives it to us good. Strong flavor in my coffee done black. I love it and get it cold for those hot Smorgasburg days. Robust bean flavor and they also sell their beans! I always just do a black cold brew and I'm pleased as punch. The prices aren't bad and the cup is perfect for toting around the market. Plus, they start sending deals here and there after you patronize the shop! Staff is always so friendly here, as well! 5 stars all around!

Can't wait to be back. Megan was so sweet and suggested a drink that I am obsessed over. I got the orange blossom matcha with oat milk and sweet corn foam. It was so amazing great balance and the sweet corn really topped it off. Thank you so much Megan!

OhMG. So. Good! Wanted a sweet treat and this Vivid Cream Latte was it! Iced Brown Sugar Latte + Sweet Foam + Cocoa Powder was amazing from the first hit of sweet cream to the last drop of brown sugar latte goodness!

This spot is located at smorgasbord. So I think it's only there Sunday. But the coffee is really delicious. I got the coconut latte and loved every sip. I just wish it were bigger and cheaper don't we all tho.

The Ultralight Bean not only has adorable packaging, but the cutest name! The coffee was out of this world! I was literally so stunned by how good it was!! Definitely recommend stopping by! I'm gonna have to buy some of their roasted beans for home!

I was passing by the area and am so glad I got to try this coffee place! They had a special menu for AAPI month and everything sounded so good that I got two drinks to double fist. I decided to get the Pandan Ube Latte and the Cold Brew Yuzu Lemonade! The Pandan Ube Latte is not too sweet but so delicious! This part is going to sound weird but personally, I didn't really taste any ube and pandan in the drink, but it was still really good. The yuzu cold brew was probably my favorite drink out of the two. The mix from the sweetness of the yuzu lemonade with the cold brew complement each other so well. Amazing coffee and amazing service! Can't wait to come back and try out more flavors!

Never seen such FULLY CUZTOMIZED coffee like this before! This is one of the best coffee experiences I've had. I love the taste and smell of coffee but one shot is more than enough for my body. Fortunately, I can go for half-shot here with customized sugar level and type of milk! What really special about this is that, their coffee is freshly brewed, so only half-shot contains FULL flavor and scent.

"Be Bright Coffee" has one of the longest lines at Smorgasbord and it's easy to see why - they put a lot of care and effort into each coffee drink they make. I had an iced Vivid Cream Latte - a brown sugar latte topped with sweet cream and a pinch of cinnamon - and each sip of it has right amount of sweetness that gives way to a nice smooth coffee aftertaste. I really can't think of a more perfect iced coffee drink to be wandering around on a beautiful day in LA with!

A new must for us everytime we do a road trip to LA!! I had to try their coffee once I heard the barista Frank won the US barista championship ! Their cold brew was the best I had ! Plus love their idea of gifting a cup of cold brew when you purchased a bag of their coffee ! Staff were extremely helpful and patience !!See you guys soon in November for my birthday road trip

Sweet staff. Cute interior with a play area for the littles. Dog friendly - even one of the baristas had her pup there. And my toasted coconut latte with macadamia milk hit the spot. Looking forward to returning and trying some of their pastries. They looked amazing. There are tons of other goodies available for purchase too: jams, scents, candles, mugs, etc. I'll definitely be back!

Love. This. Place. Wish it were open earlier or were more closeby lol. Be Bright is a unique coffee shop with standard drinks, house signatures, and a seasonal/holiday menu. I love the ever-changing nature of the menu, which occurs every 1-2 months. It consists of 3-5 creative drinks that are different enough that you want to try all of them. The seasonal menus are posted on their Instagram (bebrightcoffee). I have major fomo from missing the pumpkin season (featured in the LA TIMES) and the recent Valentine's Day menu. Some of my favorites in the past include Vivid cream latte, the pandan ube latte, misutgaru latte, crème brûlée latte. (Yes, I like lattes.) Some accolades: They are available at smorgasborg on Sundays at the Row and they always have the longest line. The owner is the 2021 US cold brew champion. This cafe has been featured in various articles, such as EaterLA, LA times, imbibe magazine. This place is legit!

The ube pandan latte was a dream. Not too sweet and not tooo creamy either. The employees really took the time to talk to you and answer questions, even with their long line at smorgasburg. Will def have to stop by the shop and try more of their drinks.

I love this coffee! I tried the Valentine's Day specials, Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Latte and Strawberry Cheesecake Latte. Both were delicious, and they were such well thought out drinks. So much attention to detail and care are put into crafting their beverages. The staff is also so friendly! Great service and coffee!

I saw this pop up coffee shop posted on instagram from a friend who gave it a beaming review, and once I took a peak at their AAPI Heritage Menu, I went to Smorgasburg that same weekend. They have a pretty full standard permanent coffee menu which I can't speak to (yet) BUT as a big latte girl who absolutely loves asian flavors and supporting fellow AAPI folks, this Pandan Ube Latte was absolutely amazing and impressive. Super smooth, rich, and full of pandan flavor and less strong ube but it's still there (it's only in the foam). This latte is definitely better than the famous ones from Nep Cafe in OC. The Ca Phe Trung is a fun twist on the Americano with a deliciously rich egg cream on top, similar to coffees Nep also has. Very bright notes, a little too light for me but I usually don't get americanos. Next time I come, I will definitely ask for the Ultralight Bean with subbing the sweet foam for the ube while they still have it. When I asked, they said they are extending their May AAPI menu due to popular demand through the end of June for now, but I really really hope they keep at least a few of these drinks onto their permanent menu, they are so amazing & would bring more people to try Asian flavors that otherwise wouldn't! I will be waiting for them to open their storefront which also sounds in the works. Until then, Smorgasburg every weekend it is

Honestly really really good. The staff is lovely and the drink rotation for the seasonal beverages are unique and all of them I've had were tasty with well balanced flavors. The coffee in the drinks I've had are strong and you can really taste the quality and preparation of the beans, I make the drive to Melrose just to stop by here!

With the long line I assumed I had to give this place a try. I got 2 of their popular coffees and both were really good.

I've driven to LA's Smorgasburg market on Sunday, just for this coffee. It is absolutely delicious. I do hope they bring back the Ube foam as a permanent menu item. If you enjoy great quality coffee, don't hesitate to try them out. Wait time after you order is about 10-15 minutes, but it's worth it.

This place had the perfect pick me up coffee during a hot Sunday afternoon! While exploring the smorgasbord my girlfriend and I came across this delicious coffee that was so refreshing and unique. I loved their plain cold brew as it was flavorful and fresh. Their special brown sugar latte with cold sweet cream was so tasty and perfectly sweet. Highly recommend!

Vivid Cream Latte. Haven't had amazing coffee in a long time. Visiting LA and went to Smorgasbord. Definitely book marking this place to come back to. Must try! Sweet but not overwhelming sweet.

While good coffee is easy to come by, great coffee is not as easy of a find. Excellent customer service is even more of a rarity. But Be Bright Coffee is stellar in both their coffee quality and professionalism, which in itself sets them apart in the coffee business.

Do yourself a favor and head to Smorgasburg at Row DTLA on a Sunday and get the most bomb coffee around! Frank and Michelle have created a great little coffee company and you will not be disappointed! Their cold brew brown sugar latte, I think it's called a Vivid?, will make your heart sing! Well done guys....you have made your mark! Oh, and I can't forget to mention that Frank is the the U.S. Cold Brew Champ!! Go get yourself some Be Bright!
