Where to Drink Tea In London

"Sooji Im’s tranquil new tea bar and garden on Exmouth Market specialises in teas from three farms in the Hadong and Boseong regions of South Korea. Green and black teas are served hot and / or cold, alongside hyeonminokcha, blended lattes, and on some evenings, tea cocktails." - James Hansen, Andrew Leitch

Very beautifully and designed tea shop. I would definitely recommend if you want to enjoy a nice cup of tea by itself as the shop feels very peaceful and zen. I wouldn’t recommend if you want to have a nice/loud chat with a bunch of friends (unless you book outdoor seating). The black tea and ginger latte could have been a bit stronger in my opinion but it was very soothing to drink nonetheless.

Really nice aesthetic and vibe in the shop. Unfortunately, it was quite expensive for tea and the beaker was dirty and stained and the teapot was chipped. For £7.80 for a cup of tea, I definitely expected better. You’re definitely paying more for the space and the aesthetic. The greenhouse seating is cute but it can get quite loud if there is another party in there as it is enclosed. Busy on a saturday afternoon.

The tea tasting experience at be-oom was truly fantastic. The tea collection is fantastic, and spending time here makes you feel like you have been transported to a quiet, meditative place. There is limited seating, with some counter stools and one table in the basement. However the basement table makes for a fantastic setting for a quiet, intimate time with friends and loved ones.

It’s my second time here in this beautiful tranquil cafe. You can indulge yourself in the an array of Korean traditional teas and sweet treats. My favourite would be the matcha rice cake which was divine and chewy upon every bite and their vegan jellies. I tried their persimmon tea and blossom petals tea. They were both really lovely. My only downside was the matcha latte that I tried from my friend. Unlike other matcha lattes I’ve had, this had a lingering bitter taste to it which was slightly off-putting Whether you’re coming here by yourself to relax and enjoy a nice cup of tea, or with friends to have a peaceful chat and indulge in the sweet treats, this is a spot worth going to. Nevertheless, the ladies who worked there are really lovely and service was amazing.

It is my favourite corner in London now 🖤 Went here on Christmas Eve Day and the place is absolute 10/10. The cake and latte is great, but it is the environment that makes it my top favourite. It is a small corner where you can have a cup of tea, some nice cakes with peace. The only thing is you can’t work within the bar, but the garden outside is a great place for work, though it closes a bit earlier though.

Absolutely stunning experience, I loved everything about the place!! Came all the way from Manchester and it was worth it. Nice tea selections, best matcha I had in the UK so far, Lovely welcoming customer service, we were lucky someone canceled their booking so we were able to visit the glass room to try korean tea!! Even if the glass room was booked, there's a place to sit to enjoy your tea! Great vibes, So both ways is a win win The entire vibe was chilled and relaxed, even if you are not a tea fan, give it a try, can't recommend this place enough!

An absolutely relaxing environment! Staff are super friendly and made a lovely warm bowl of Pumpkin Juk! I highly recommend booking before hand so you can experience their garden. Such a lovely calming experience. Other than that they're treats are not overly sweet the perfect paring to their teas and coffees.

Discovered this Korean tea shop while I was at Exmouth market. Overall, it was a nice place to relax and have some teas. Tried the Early Sparrow and got a dysfunctional tea pot because the staff took out the strainer which means you can't put the lid back on and the tea goes cold very quickly. Also tried the sparkling malcha (green tea) which was basically green tea mixed with Harrogate sparkling water which wasn't quite worth it.
