Really loved the atmosphere! The smoothie is very rich and real- not like Jamba or just other generally over sweet smoothies :) the sandwich was super flavorful!

Nancy R.

Google
This is definitely a hidden gem in the South Bay! The coffee was delicious, the almond croissant, best ever and the Turkey sandwich on a croissant was the best I ever had! No doubt this is my go to sandwich spot now! I'm hooked!

Susan O.

Google
I have had better experience with delivery from there than an in person. Please don’t add vanilla to coffee unless I ask for it. It’s disgusting. I hate it especially when I take half hour to walk to the place and I wanna enjoy my coffee once a week, it’s a treat hate vanilla. So far South be Bay disappoints when it comes to making a a good cappuccino.

Trevor

Google
Amazing iced-coffee, pumpkin muffins and pastries. They have a large assortment of candy-shop-style chocolate covered apples, jelly beans, orange malt balls and every other type of sweet you can imagine. Great stocking stuffers for Christmas, for sure. And Did I mention the ice-cream? Very nice staff as well.

Google
While looking for a new coffee spot, Hubby came across Beach Cities Cafe and Confections in Redondo Beach. So we went for it! We got there around 8:30a and it said they open at 8a. But when we got there, no one was there so we were confused. Then we saw a lady run from across the street and opened up shop. She apologized but that was weird and you're 30mins late homegirl. When we entered, I felt it to be a bit closterphobic. It felt cluttered and stuff everywhere. I got my usual iced vanilla latte and a pumpkin muffin, Hubby just got an iced vanilla latte as well. There was only seating outside so that's where we sat. Our order came out and my muffin was super stale and it did not taste fresh at all. My iced vanilla latte was missing the vanilla. Hubby had to go and ask the lady to add the vanilla. This place was pretty disappointing and not at all what I expected. I will not be coming back.

Google
Great place to come when visiting California. Love their avocado toast! By far the best. Always friendly staff and clean!

Tom F.

Google
A perfect stop after a long walk or a bike ride. Conveniently located by a park at the end of the North Redondo bike path. Convenient outside seating and a helpful staff! Lots of delectable items dipped in chocolate to go. The chocolate dipped cheesecake was unbelievably good and very reasonably priced! The rocky road Carmel Apple was mind blowing! A lot of drink options! Sandwiches and toasts!

Google
10/10 love coming here when i visit got both the breakfast burrito and sandwich so delicious! food is fresh

Yelp
adorable neighborhood cafe, with quality drinks and food! they had plenty options for my and my boyfriend to find something we liked, and it was filled with lovely neighbors and staff. can't believe we haven't found this place sooner! and they sell confections that are perfect as holiday gifts!

Yelp
We wanted some good coffee and snacks so we popped into Beach cities. Cozy coffee and amazing candy apples ! Nice service and decor

Yelp
Looks nothing like the picture. Very disappointed. Supposed to be farmers market toast. Also did not get my drink I payed for. Won't be coming back

Yelp
I really enjoyed the place that was here before this spot. Those who know..know. I really tried to like this place especially since it's so close to my house, but it didn't work out for me. Their hours are off, came here twice when they were supposed to be open and they were closed. Have come here and ordered twice. I got a coffee and I did not like it. My son tried their smoothie and it wasn't that great either. They seem to have kept the cacao smoothie recipe from the prior owner/name but it certainly did not taste the same. Also, they have too many candy apples, chocolates, sweets, as someone who limits their sugar intake , it's not the spot for me. Wish it was healthier!!!
google avatar

Madalyn N.

Yelp
Excellent food and friendly staff! Very dog friendly, too! Highly recommend the avocado toast and egg salad toast.

Yelp
I have been going here for years, but today I was completely disheartened when I received a comment while ordering my burrito with salsa on the side. The older woman taking my order, which I believe to be the owner responded with a slight grin, "like El Pollo Loco?" I am assuming it was because of my accent or appearance (I am not even Mexican, not that there's anything wrong with that) Regardless of the motivation, it was a very confusing and un-welcoming response. Unfortunately, I was shocked by the question and had nothing to respond with in the moment. While I would care to know more of why this was her response, it's really no way to treat a customer. A returning one at that! Unfortunately, I will not be returning here. This is sad because I've brought so many of my friends here for the good food and local/peaceful atmosphere.

Yelp
i've ordered from here before on postmate and i LOVE the açaí bowls. it's delicious and the perfect amount to get me satisfied! sooo i decided to come in after jiu jutsu since it's near by and it was such poor experience... when i got there, there was no other customers *keep in mind*. walked in and was NOT greeted by the front person. no smile, no greet, no anything. me and my partner heard girls giggling and talking loud in the back so we know there's more than one person there. the cashier was a blonde girl and it seemed like she did not want to be there. it felt like we were bothering her while ordering. she barely even talked to us.. after we payed we waited outside and more customers showed up and they were treated WAY better than how me and my partner was treated, but whatever can't assume anything. after about 10 minutes i went back inside to check on our order and nothing BUT the girl who was in the front took a personal phone call right in front of customers and another girl who was super sweet stepped up. i work at a restaurant and im a host, i know better NOT to be doing that in front of customers. she ended up going home and i was STILL waiting about 15-20 minutes for 2 açaí bowls. we've never been here so we didn't know if they bring it out to us or we go back inside and get it. so my partner went inside and grabbed the bowls and we decided it didn't feel welcoming to even eat there so we took it home. while walking to my car i saw a girl bring out another customers order to him, so that really just topped it off for me. it sucks bc the food here is great and yummy but the service was horrible! we also tipped because we felt bad, maybe the cashier was having a rough day but also don't bring personal stuff to work! i don't ever help review so when i do, you know it's bad service. so i don't know if i'll be ordering from here again...

Yelp
Great service from the ladies working they were very sweet. The cafe is located in this cute little neighborhood. Dead smack in the middle of a residential area. It was definitely another small cafe vibe here. Convenient parking a few other restaurants next to it. The avocado toast I had was pretty good. A little to much olive oil for my liking nevertheless it was still tasty. The Macchiato wasn't hot enough. The best thing order was the Supreme Toast that was very flavorful.

Yelp
This is a little hidden gem in the neighborhood of north Redondo. Whether I want a coffee break, a quick meal, or sweet treats, this is the place. Believe me I have tried all of them and it is fantastic. I came in also to buy some stocking stuffers for the holidays and for my family. My niece and my daughter already have a date planned that when they get their braces off, they are coming in here to get caramel apples. They do have tables but there are also benches in the park right behind it if you want to eat there. #makesmewander

Carolyn C.

Yelp
This place is a hidden treasure! Walked over for coffee after my Keurig broke, and was amazed to find quick service with no ridiculously long lines! The neighborhood is quiet with minimal traffic, and it's a great place to hang out if you have dogs or kids in tow. Will be back to try the food items, which include açaí bowls and caramel apples that look delicious!! And the coffee was perfect!
google avatar

Eric D.

Yelp
Waited 15-20 min for a frozen açaí bowl. Açaí was hard a rock. If this was premade and placed in the freezer, why did it take so long to add the toppings on top??

Lea N.

Yelp
Idk if maybe they have an inventory issue last time or tried out a new bakery but the GOOD BREAD IS BACK!

Isabella H.

Yelp
I asked a simple question if they were open and one of the owners ( i'm guessing) yelled no at me in a harsh tone.
google avatar

Matthew R.

Yelp
Overpriced and bad customer service. We ordered a frozen green bullet drink and a dirty chia. It took them about 15 minutes to make (to the point we were wondering if they forgot) and the totally was almost 14$. While we were in the store waiting a woman walked in asking why a bunch of customers were getting their drinks while she'd been waiting for 20 minutes already and the women working (seemed to be the owner or manager) responded with "I just started working on the orders, so I don't know what you want me to do about it". They definitely seemed to be making orders as they came in and forgetting about the backlog. Overall would not recommend and won't be back.
google avatar

Jade Y.

Yelp
This cafe seems to be in the middle of a residential area, not really any other businesses around except a Brazilian place. Loved this little gem! Met up with some friends in the neighborhood close by and would def come back! Its quiet, and they have a lot of drink/food options for breakfast/lunch. Delicious chocolate croissant and avo toasts.

Rachel G.

Yelp
They don't have a restroom. I thought it seemed kind of strange for a place that serves food and drinks.
google avatar

Raul V.

Yelp
Ordered a green kale smoothie for the wife. She said it was good. I ordered a breakfast burrito posted on the outside sign. It was about $9. Pretty small and bland for $9. No cheese. No salsa. I have tried this place a couple times and it seems overpriced for what you get compared to other places in the area.

Yelp
If your craving a fresh salad, open-faced sandwich, coffee or pastry Beach Cities is worth a visit. The food here is fresh, everything is made in house and the flavors are excellent. Beach offers takeout, and delivery right now. Support this new Cafe now and in the future. Launching a new business, let alone a cafe can be challenging (to say the list) in this business climate. The owners and staff are always welcoming. You will be surprised just how good everything is here at Beach Cities Cafe.
google avatar

Myra F.

Yelp
I always get the iced vanilla late with oat milk and single avocado toast. Delicious!
google avatar

Steve D.

Yelp
I love the Chicken Sandwich and Strawberry Smoothie to go and drive down to Esplanade to enjoy it. I met the owners several times and I enjoy the surroundings. There's a little park behind the area too if you want to wait for your items.

Yelp
Walking by the Cafe today saw they reopened as a new concept... I literally live about four houses away from here so I thought hey why not give them a shot today and see what it's like. Inside I like the look of the place... though they do use a lot of other companies stuff such as Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory over making their own. Not necessarily a bad thing, but when it comes to local mom and pop places like this I really enjoy them more when it's their own creations. Now the food. Ordered the turkey croissant sandwich and the tuna sandwich (this one admittedly asked for no lettuce or tomatoes, extra onion - which the menu lists as red onion) The verdict: very disappointing. The good: the turkey avocado croissant was tasty (whatever seasoning they added to the avocado was delicious) but I'm not joking there was literally three slices of turkey deli meat on this sandwich... for $9 I wasn't impressed (mind you there are no sides included ) The terrible: the tuna salad sandwich. Pictures are included. Again full transparency I ordered it without the lettuce and tomatoes. But the very very small amount of tuna they placed in between two enormous pieces of bread, it was an epic fail. Taking a bite i had 90% bread and nothing else. It was so bad my husband didn't even eat it and it went into the trash. I should have just walked back to say something but the more i thought about doing that, the more annoyed at how terrible the sandwich was. I did leave them feedback thru their Square POS email receipt.. having used that in my own business I know they get alerts right away. I gave it a few hours to see if they'd reply but nothing so I'm leaving this review instead.

Yelp
Ordered through Grubhub. Well packed. Got a Southwest Chicken bowl and Protein Banana smoothie. Chicken was great and nice balsamic dressing. Good portion lunch salad. Smoothie was awesome, tasted all of the flavors together and separate. Yum!

Jessica B.

Yelp
Wow! I got the fiesta avocado toast and the berry smoothie and it was so good! Will order again.
google avatar

Lisa R.

Yelp
Great Food. We love their Avocado Toast, and the Breakfast Toast. Their Croissants and Coffee are also delicious! Great little place!!
google avatar

Jonelle A.

Yelp
Went on a Sunday afternoon to get an açaí bowl. No one was in line and it was not busy at all. It took 15 minutes to get my açaí bowl! When I went in to check on my order, it was just sitting on the counter and the cashier was just like "oh here". What kind of customer service is that?! Definitely not coming back.
google avatar

Chana F.

Yelp
I did a quick search for a local coffee shop this morning. I'm so grateful to have stumbled upon this cafe. It's so quaint and well taken care of. The lady who helped me was so friendly and sweet with me and my toddler. The egg salad toast actually blew my mind. The sourdough- omg. The Parmesan cheese on top gave it such a delicious salty added flavor. Heaven.

Yelp
I'm in love with this place! After living in this neighborhood since childhood I've always wanted this location to have sweets and now that they've changed ownership my dreams have come true! Wish this place was around when I was growing up so my brother and I could get caramel apples as an after school snack! I got the farmers market toast and it tastes exactly the same as it did when it was Greentree cafe. Glad they kept all the same yummy menu items (including the delicious juices) and added on! Took home an açai bowl for my family to try and everyone loved it. The new owners are super sweet and caring. Also feels good to support local businesses and business owners who also live in this amazing neighborhood! We will all definitely be back and I can't wait to make this my first stop before commuting to work once that opens up again!
google avatar

Nicole H.

Yelp
Cute little neighborhood coffee shop with delicious confections! Great customer service as well.
google avatar

Itzel F.

Yelp
Really bad customer service, I ordered an açaí bowl waited for more than 10mins, I saw other customers getting their order before me when they order after me, so I ask the person about my açaí bowl and she said they were more orders ahead of me, when there was no more customers, 2 minutes after she came back with an old frozen açaí bowl, so I went inside and ask her why it was frozen when she said she was making me the bowl and I literally saw her grabbing it from the freezer, I asked her for a refund and left the bowl, she got pissed. I've never experienced such an awful service in my life. If she didn't wanna make it she should've have said they didn't have it. I'll never come back to this coffee shop again, I felt really discriminated against.

Yelp
So overall an okay stop. Location is amazing if you have small kiddos and want to have lunch or brunch while they play at the park and picnic it up on the grass. Brunch food and drinks were less than desirable. Okay but took forever and would not be a destination for food for us in the future. I ordered one of their toasts. Had over cooked hard boiled eggs, where the yolk is rimmed in thick greenish greyish color because they boiled it too long. Garlic spread and parm cheese were good on it. Basil they sprinkled on top had two pieces that were just stems chunks with no leaves on them. Very odd but they were so late with our food i think they were understaffed in the kitchen and rushing to crank out orders. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito and we paid extra for both meat options to be put on it and avocado. He was underwhelmed. Our chai lattes were barely Luke warm and we ended up just tossing them when we left. Overall a meh experience.

L R.

Yelp
I travel in from Culver City to eat here on weekends. The Farmers Market Toast and a latte are my favorite breakfast. They load the toast with a thin spread of garlic mayo topped with smashed avocado, and roasted veggies . . .its a perfect start to the day. The latte is also sublime, better than that big over-inflated chain. I often sit at one of the tables out front. Aside from cars cruising past on Phelan, it's peaceful. There is a park around the corner of the cafe and you can hear distant sounds of play but its so gentle it just feels like those sounds should be there. All the staff are kind, generous, helpful, knowledgable and very sweet to put up with my unvarying order each weekend. It's a very small place, but absolutely the best neighborhood cafe I've had the pleasure to discover!!
google avatar

Jonathan T.

Yelp
This business is coffee shop 1:30 they said don't have coffee because the lady cleaning the machine
google avatar

Laurie R.

Yelp
Too many favorites here to choose just one! Healthy options, sweet treats and of course afternoon coffee!! And they offer delivery during COVID times which is a bonus!! We will be going back soon!
google avatar

Mary C.

Yelp
LOVE this place! Beach Cities Cafe has the most AMAZING customer service! Our family is OBSESSED with their caramel apples! #addicted The staff is super friendly and always helpful. Worth a stop! Try it!
google avatar

Laura S.

Yelp
Cute cafe with comfy seating outside. I am glad they have oat milk as a dairy alternative. Tastes really good in the iced chai latte. Highly recommend! The avocado toast is another favorite. They offer plenty of healthy options as well as sweets. The caramel apples and chocolate dipped strawberries are a nice combo for dessert. Also, the cold pressed juices are so refreshing. Yum yum in my tum tum! Owners and staff are really nice and friendly. I will definitely be going back to visit.
google avatar

Lyndie B.

Yelp
This spot is under new owners and it is soo good! The avocado toast and oat milk latte is my go to but the açaí bowels are amazing also when I'm not in the area for breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful... they are also all wearing masks, using contactless payment and sanitizing! Great clean place with amazing food!
google avatar

Miriam B.

Yelp
I was very happy with the service am obsess over the sweet treats they have.. but most of all i enjoy the Tuna sandwich. ..and smash avocado toast super delish Thank you , you guys are great
google avatar

Susan D.

Yelp
This is a neighborhood gem for sure. My friend Rebecca and I had the pleasure of visiting this lovely cafe. The owner use to own Rocky Mountain Chocolate in the Southbay Galleria, so there are many delicious desserts and caramel apples with various toppings. My friend and I shared the Southwest Chicken Bowl and a Chicken Sandwich. Both were delicious. The balsamic they use is the best! The vanilla latta was great and we both had the Cleanse Juice. It is very relaxing to sit out on their patio. Rumor has it the toasts on their menu are excellent. The owner and staff are very friendly. I highly recommend this new cafe.

L S.

Yelp
Yummy chicken sandwiches and turkey sandwiches! This is a charming cafe tucked away in the middle of a Redondo Beach neighborhood. Make a stop while walking or riding a bike! Lisa's cafe is a local charm! There is a nice menu and serious confections too!!!
google avatar

Robert A.

Yelp
The avocado toast is really good and really really well priced! Food prep can be a bit slow, but that is understandable given how few people work behind the counter.
google avatar

Sara G.

Yelp
We got an açaí bowl, the chicken sandwich and a turkey. Just like everyone else the wait was long and we were the only ones in line. There was only one person there and she said they didn't have any mustard and only had one type of cheese. The park was what got us there. We were gonna eat while the kids played but it took so long that we needed up eating at home. At least my husband got his mustard that way. The sandwiches were pretty tasty and the avail was ok flavor wise. We opted without the peanut butter so it leaves it pretty hard. Also the customer service wasn't the best. Overall it was just meh...
google avatar

Amo S.

Yelp
Such a sweet little hole in the wall! There are a few tables outside so you can sit and enjoy your cinnamon honey latte. If you like puppy watching, there are plenty walking by. I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday morning!

James T.

Yelp
The grilled chicken sandwich is amazing. Their juices are awesome. Their sweets are great, too. My little son loves the chocolate coins they have. People complaining about it being slow etc. are used to fast-paced LA. A small business with a few staff take a while to make good stuff. And it is worth the wait!
google avatar

Ryan K.

Yelp
I have eaten at Beach Cities Cafe twice in the last three weeks. Both times I've been greeted warmly and everyone has been helpful. I also ordered the Supreme Toast both times and I'll probably order it again the next time I go. When you find something you enjoy you don't want to change. You can get one slice or two, but usually one is good enough. The smoothies are really good. I have been happy each time I've visited and I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Roy O.

Yelp
Everything seems always fresh.luv the fresh not powdered smoothies. Nice variety of taste food. Ps dog friendly. Nice neighborhood feel.
google avatar

Angela P.

Yelp
I really really want to like it here. Unfortunately, everything takes FOREVER, I ordered 2 lattes this am. They say there getting cold and finally after I asked for the 3rd time she gave me them. I ordered the chicken sandwich with the Mayo on the side, no Mayo. While I waited and waited for the side of Mayo, a woman came in to pick up her to-go order. She ordered Nutella toast 2 ways. BOTH ways were wrong. She asked for the re-order to be expedited and the girl working said "I'm not sure I have a lot of orders". I live a block away and unfortunately will not be back.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Came in with my daughters during our daily walk around the neighborhood. We pick up a few caramel apples and a Strawberry smoothie. Very delicious. Met the owners and were friendly and professional. I definitely will be back.
google avatar

Carla T.

Yelp
Roasted veggie bowl is so good! Tons of hearty veggies and guac and greens. Wanted something healthy and this is just what I pictured. The breakfast dishes and the baked goods look really good too, I'll be back. There are a few outdoor tables, and it's next to the park, a nice place to take your lunch.
