Celebrated a Sunday evening together at a new restaurant. The Beach Glass Lounge offers a gorgeous setting with excellent food. Everything we had was delicious. Prices are high but for excellent food it’s worth it! Try the pink mirage drink for the cool bubble! Most beautiful bathroom I’ve ever been in. The only con of the night was that the bar was understaffed so everyone was waiting a very long time for drinks. It was pretty busy on a Sunday evening and I was impressed. Will be back!

Our Tuesday visit was definitely a step down from our previous 2. My wife and I took mom for a drive and lunch. As we had two previous great visits, as described on coming here. Instead of bar seating, we decided on a four top. Allie was our server. We ordered adult beverages. My wife a glass of Luna Nuda, mom a Toasted Coconut Key Lime Margarita, and I a Manhattan. I was informed by Allie that they were out of Buffalo Trace, the bourbon noted on the drink menu, but I could upgrade to Angels Envy. Come to find out it was a $3 upgrade. After the wine and margarita arrived, I was informed that they indeed had Buffalo Trace and my Manhattan would be right out. All of our beverages tasted great! For our lunch my wife decided on the steak salad medium well, mom the perch sandwich lunch special, and I the Crab Cake Sandwich. After a reasonable amount of time our meals came out. All delicious; however, my wife’s steak was more well done than medium well but still tasty. I finished my Manhattan and asked for a draft Maine Lunch beer and started my sandwich. After the first few bites I decided to wait on my beer to enjoy it with my sandwich. After waiting for 15 minutes I got up and asked the bartender about my beer. She looked surprised. About that time, Allie came in from kabitzing at an outside table. Not sure if she rang it up and the order sat on the printer while the bartender cleaned or not. Really not in the habit of collecting our own drinks. That said, we finished our meal and ordered dessert. Our used dishes and glasses on our table sat there until Allie sat our dessert down in the middle of the mess. She then cleared the table. 😬. Not impressed. A definite step down from our previous visits.

I had been looking forward to Sunday Brunch at the Beach Glass Lounge for months. I've watched it grow from concept to completion via Facebook and couldn't wait to experience it for myself. I walked in and was blown away by the light airy and yet comfy decor. Center Stage was the beach glass chandelier that was simply breathtaking. I was quickly ushered to my seat and given the Brunch menu which included $2 mimosas. Yes please and thank you! The server was kind, and personable and very attentive to me as a party of One. He had other tables but was eager to ensure I was content. I ordered the salmon salad. In my almost 60 years I've not had a better piece of fish and my dad was a fisherman. This salmon was caramelized somehow on the bottom with a delicate crunch and finished off under the flames to crisp up the top while the inside was simply perfect. It rested on a bed of greens and tomatoes which tasted like summer it also featured feta, strawberries and cucumbers and the lightest, tastiest vinaigrette dressing. It was hard not to lick the plate. The live music was delightful and I finished my mimosa at the bar relaxing and listening to the performer. My expectations were surpassed. I chatted with folks who come regularly and couples who enjoy frequent date nights. The menu was creative and fun and I wish I'd had more time and more room to sample it. I walked over to the gallery next door and wandered around for about an hour. Such a neat and full place. I wish there had been glass blowing happening but just looking at all the works of art was mind blowing. I had the privilege of chatting with the artist himself and look forward to returning for a class sometime soon. The afternoon was simply the best way to kick of a vacation! I can't wait to return!

This place is over the top! Great atmosphere very elegant I highly recommend trying this place out. It's a bit pricey but if you come for happy hour you get really good deals on drinks and food I tried 4 different oysters all was really good. It's great to have a place on the lake to have such a oysters selection. I definitely will be back to try more stuff on the menu. Its a nice place to treat your self or bring a date if you want to impress them

Beautiful clean and bright atmosphere. The muscles, lobster bisque, tuna, blacked sole, and crab cakes were good. The shrimp that came with the salad were the biggest I've ever seen.

A stylish spot with great atmosphere and a solid drink selection, Beach Glass Lounge stands out in Marblehead for its upscale coastal vibe. The decor is chic and inviting, lots of great art on display. Good for a date night or an evening out, if you don’t mind a noisy restaurant. Service was friendly and attentive. That said, prices are on the higher end—especially for the area—so be prepared to spend a bit more than you might expect locally. While the quality is good, some may find the value doesn’t quite match the cost.

Wow, our first time there and it was a fantastic experience. Great food and service. Had the salmon, OMG it was so tasty. Loved the deco too. Wish we lived closer, but this restaurant will be on our short list of restaurants to visit when we're in the area.

We ate here Friday with a party of 8, although we really enjoyed some of the meal (highly recommend the truffle fries)- my husband ordered the dry aged Ribeye which was the most expensive steak on the menu. When it came out, it clearly looked like a strip steak, and had absolutely no marbling of fat- everyone agreed it had to be a mistake. When we questioned the cut, the waitress explained that we weren’t the only customers to question the same steak this week, and the chef went as far as to send her back out with a pre-packaged steak to “show” us that the one on our plate was actually a ribeye and it had no fat because it was dry aged. The whole interaction was awkward and it ruined the meal. I would hope if you’re having multiple of the exact same complaints, it would be handled better especially for a bill that was over $500.

Yelp
We had lunch today and extended to happy hour. The scallops were delicious. Whar made the day special was our fantastic server, Maelen. She went out of her way to explain menu items and was very attentive. Great job, Maelen!

Yelp
Went here with some friends on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. They took drink orders and sat us but wouldn't take food orders till we were all seated. 1 member of our group got a phone call and took it off to the side. Server was like. When she sits I'll take your order. She was standing 2 ft from the table. She was right there. So we made her sit and it still took the server 15 more mins to come back to us. We had the brunch menu for Sunday at 1p. Brunch is till 2p. They have a full bar. There were 7 of us. We all got different things. 1 bourbon bread pudding pancakes, 1 omelette which went back because it was wrong. 2 crab cake Benedict's, and a bunch of breakfast BLT's. They ran out of breakfast potatoes so we all got fries. Which was good. The BLT I could have made better at home. Dry and blah. Not impressed for $13. The crab cake Benedict's were good according to the 2 that got them. The bourbon bread pudding pancakes were dry and tasteless. Overall I was not impressed with the food. We are cider fans and the ciders were out. So couldn't enjoy those. The place is a good size and very nice and bright with lots of glass. Very cool looking. Would I go back. Probably not. Not impressed service was slow and moody and food was not great for the price. Best thing is the ambiance and the decor. Otherwise I'd skip.

Yelp
This is a wonderful place! The light installation at the door is absolutely gorgeous.... Food was great; they had a very nice selection of oysters, which were fresh and presented beautifully. I had the roasted chicken with vegetables, which was succulent and delicious. My husband had the tartare, which was flavorful and nicely done; he also had a side of fries, which you don't want to miss. He topped it all off with crème brûlée -- nice burnt sugar and not cold inside (miracle!). You definitely want to give this place a try!

Yelp
In the area working again and wanted to try something new. This area is all about the fish, so I found Beach Glass House on Yelp. Only open 2 months, the place was pretty slow at 3pm on a Tuesday (expected). Perch fish sandwich and opted for the Brussels instead of fries. The portion was just right and it was more perch than breading or coating. You could taste the mild flavor matched with the homemade tartar and cocktail sauce. I absolutely enjoyed every bite while listening to smooth jazz in the background. Everyone was friendly and I found out they are developing the area with a hotel/event center on the 8 acres behind the restaurant. No pics of the main meal but I had to get the Lava Cake! I would definitely stop again. I really enjoyed myself!

Yelp
I'll start by saying the space is beautiful...that gets a 10! We went to lunch and I was so excited to come! Started with a crock of French onion soup $12 and my honest opinion is that it had ALOT of onions, too much! I would not order it again. It also would've been nice to be able to get this in cup as well as a crock. We opted for a burger, this was the lounge burger $20. Again, honest opinion...it was not memorable. I know how memorable can a burger be? Well, I've had some pretty crave worthy burgers and this was not one. The fries were really good, fresh & crispy with a bit of rosemary. The service was friendly & efficient. I'd definitely go back to try something different. It's a wonderful addition to the area for sure!

Yelp
We came in for dessert and drinks after dinner elsewhere on a Monday night. It was their fourth night of operation. Our bartender Jennifer was knowledgeable and efficient. The space is very clean and modern. Great artwork on all the walls which I assume is on loan from the gallery next door. I ordered the Molten Cherry Whiskey Sour as well as sharing a crème brûlée and bread pudding. My drink was exceptional. My dad ordered an old fashioned which he enjoyed. I fully appreciate everything about my first visit and look forward to returning. This place is a breath of fresh air for this neighborhood!

Yelp
Beautiful spot and atmosphere! Coconut tequila drink was delicious, and charcuterie board was good. Espresso martini was not, watered down. And the lavender drink was okay.

Yelp
I don't like saying negative things about restaurants, but for $250.00 for four, it should be better. First, there was no mention the day before when I called for a 7:30pm reservation that they close Sunday night (Memorial Day weekend) at 8pm. We felt rushed to get out of there after we ate. I tried to order the New York strip but was told they were out, which was disappointing. One person in my party got scallops, and she stated they were very good. I ended up having to get a hamburger for $27, which tasted fine. To finish this review, I feel the waiter/waitress needs to act more professionally and not give us excuses for why she is unsure about things on the menu. I wanted this place to be great. This area needs some high-end restaurants and good food. I'm not sure if I will be going again. Please do go and see what you think. The atmosphere was nice.

Yelp
We started lunch off with French onion soup and lobster bisque, both were amazing and the lobster bisque had huge chunks of lobster. Wish the soup was hot vs warm. Next we had perch sandwich with fries and grilled chicken with green beans Brussel sprouts, sweet potatoe cake. Fries were amazing so was the sweet potato cake and Brussel sprouts. The chicken was a little over cooked and blan. The waitress was very pleasant. The building and decor is beautiful.

Yelp
Ambience is great. Could really be a jewel. We've been customers since the place opened, but the food has been steadily going downhill. After tonight's dinner, I don't think I'll be going back. They were out of a large assortment of menu items on Friday of a holiday weekend??? How do you run out by Friday? 3 in our party ordered burgers. They were ok. Ok is not good when paying $23 for a burger. The other individual ordered a salad w chicken. The salad arrived at the table a full 5 mins after the burgers. Did we let our waiter know? Well no, he didn't check on our table. Instead, he and 2 bartenders were shooting the sh!t. Overall, an underwhelming experience for the price of the dinners. Frankly, it would have been underwhelming at half the cost. I hope they get their act together, because this could be so much better. In the meantime, go to Reds or Jj's. Better drinks, food and value.

Yelp
The food was good and the portions were perfect. Steak was seasoned well but my medium-well was definitely well done and my husband's medium was the same. Loved the glazed carrots! I was disappointed in our crème brûlée, it was cold but it tasted good. As for the atmosphere... The decor is beautiful! It's very cozy but also very loud. We went with another couple and had a hard time carrying on a conversation. We were disappointed in how the staff is dressed. At a high end restaurant with a $125 steak on the menu I would expect more than jeans. We all mentioned that we felt over dressed compared to the staff! We will return in hopes they work out the kinks since it's new.

Yelp
I really don't understand the reviews for this place. I've been to all of the close-by restaurants - and Beach Glass Lounge is frankly better. Ambiance alone = A+, food is fantastic and comparable to the highest end places on the peninsula/ island. Service was rough when they first opened but has improved greatly. I'm a fan.

Yelp
This place had so much potential but not worth the money at all. I expected a little bit more of a high end experience but we had to ask for our dirty dishes to be removed from the table multiple times. As far as the food, the appetizers were great! We loved the charcuterie board, although no one told us what was on it so that was a mystery. We loved the crab cakes too! For dinner we got the pretzel crusted grouper which was so disappointing. The plate looked unappetizing and everything was so bland. We also tried the scallops which were cooked really well but the risotto was crunchy on the inside and mushy on the outside. The sweet potato cake was unfortunately awful. We couldn't take more than one bite. If these plates were around $20 we would have somewhat enjoyed it. casual experience with high end prices.

Yelp
The crab cakes were awesome! Nice cocktails. Pretty interior! Great addition to Marblehead! We split perch dinner, plenty of food!

Yelp
The atmosphere was amazing. There was live music, beautiful artwork, and friendly staff. The food was delicious as well! I got the scallops and the table shared the crab cakes. YUM! I loved the Beach Glass Lounge and will definitely be coming back often.

Madison K.

Yelp
My boyfriend & I loved our impromptu stop at this restaurant going to look at boats for sale. I got the airline chicken and it was to die for... it comes with glazed carrots YUM. My boyfriend got the salmon he said it was one of the best cooked salmons he ever had. Our service was good! The ambiance to me is a nice upscale restaurant with a beachy feel. We went dressed very casual and felt completely comfortable! We will definitely be back during summer to try some of the lovely cocktails on the menu!

Yelp
We had the Lounge Burger and Perch Sandwich platter...delicious and well worth the $20 price tag. Service was excellent and ambiance is the best around...Well done!!!

Yelp
Ambiance is very neat and tidy. Nice glass works everywhere. The service is attentive and thorough. The is food is great. Will go again.

Yelp
This place is literally so amazing. The food and drinks were top notch. But I have to give a shout out to Brittany for the outstanding service. Everything from her service to small talk really made me feel welcome after a long tough week. 1000% coming back!

LeeAnn B.

Yelp
Food was bland and overpriced. Crab cakes were good. Lobster bisque was barely warm. We came at lunch time. The server has no sense of urgency whatsoever. I got the steak salad. no flavor on steak and lots and lots of greens and not much else. We also got the chicken with Brussel sprouts. Bland and dry.

Yelp
We chose the Beach Glass Lounge to celebrate our 58th anniversary thinking it be good place to celebrate. The place is beautiful and the service was friendly. I have to say the food was below average. Not what to expect for the price. Won't return soon.

Bob S.

Yelp
We were really excited about this new place and couldn't wait to try it out. the restaurant is brand new and very nice inside but that's where the positives ended. Ratings 0-10 Service 5: Our server was just meh, not very pleasant and yet not horrible, more like adequate. Not what you expect for a fine dining experience. Ambiance 10: Its a really nice place. Brand spanking new so really can't say anything negative. Food 1: My wife had French Onion Soup and a salad. The salad was fine but not great. The French onion soup was blah. The glob of cheese was just laying on top of the soup and looked like it was barely melted. The soup itself was bland at best. I tried the scallops and risotto. Honestly the scallops were bland and barely cooked through. The risotto had so much onion that was all you could taste. I had a really hard time eating the scallops and left half of the risotto on the plate. Overall, not a great first experience. It seems like their menu is a take off of another fine dining restaurant in the area. They really need to find a chef who knows how to Run a kitchen. You can't charge fine dining prices and put out mediocre food.

Mag C.

Yelp
We were hoping for a delicious experience in this new and beautiful restaurant in Marblehead . Our crab cake appetizer was full of lump crab and very good. The good news stops there . Perch platter was very heavily breaded and spicy . The breading was chewy not crisp . Walleye was thin , burned on the bottom and coated in panko. The fillet was very thin. Mussels had very little broth (more of a creamy coating ) we asked for more broth . Mussels were sandy and improperly prepared . We will most likely not return which is a disappointment are we hoped for a better experience in our area.

Cary F.

Yelp
upon arriving and stepping into the Beach Glass Lounge one cannot help notice the artwork throughout the whole restaurant. There is beautiful art glass and Oil paintings throughout. Be sure not to miss the wave Chandelier,. Creating a beautiful environment for having a meal. Fresh seafood and prime beef are amazing. Be sure to try the crabcakes. The service was fantastic and this place is definitely Worth a visit.

Yelp
We we're a party of 8, and they were able to accommodate us at an outside table with no reservation at about 7p in less than 10 minutes. Everyone we interacted with was extremely friendly and helpful - host, hostess, server, manager, and the live musician. The space itself is stunning, very light and airy. The menu has a wide range of price points. I can't speak for every dish, but my Gouda burger was absolutely delicious. This place is about an hour from home for me, but I'd consider a special trip for dinner!

Terri S.

Yelp
Place is beautiful. Kitchen still needs some experience. Our shrimp salad had only two shrimp and there was a significant up charge. Waiter said " oh there should have been more" yet did nothing about it. Salmon was good on the salmon salad. It was the wrong greens, not what was described in the menu. Waiters need to be a little more attentive With water refills, plate removal, etc. I am assuming it will get better. It was pricey, but I will go back.

J B.

Yelp
I was looking forward to trying this new place. The atmosphere was lovely. The glass chandelier a show stopper. The service and the food still need some work. When we walked in hosts did not acknowledge or welcome us in spite of not being busy at all. Just a smile works wonders. Our wait staff was trying, but timing was just off. The food was disappointing. Chowder too salty. Steak au poivre grisly. Would prefer a small amount of a green vegetable and starch as an included side rather than having to order a costly side to share that was way too much food. I doubt that we will return.

Carolyn F.

Yelp
Like most have mentioned, the ambiance is incredible. Our server was inexperienced but pleasant. Unfortunately, the food was a huge disappointment and expensive. My scallops were tasteless, and my husband's steak was not warm, and served drowning in sauce. We had such high hopes for this place, but as one reviewer mentioned, we do not want to pay fine dining prices for mediocre food.

Linda H.

Yelp
Beware of their overpriced drinks. I ordered a $15 drink which had zero alcohol even though I paid for alcohol. Not going back.

Sarah O.

Yelp
Disappointed in the decore. Was awfully plain for all the hype. Bar was unresponsive when we sat down there. Wood interior made it loud and noisy. Perch was cool, chewy and dried out. Won't be going back any time soon...

Jerry Z.

Yelp
We went for dinner and just so enjoyed the food, atmosphere and especially the service. Everyone was so attentive and nice. Our meals were delicious and came out of the kitchen promptly. Definitely will be back!

Pat E.

Yelp
Enjoyed a wonderful lunch. Ordered the crabcakes and brussel sprouts, very generous portions and delicious. Our waitress, Sarah was a breath of fresh air and very engaging. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out. Cannot wait to return again.

Yelp
Review of Beach Glass Lounge: Ratings 5-0; 5 highest to 0 lowest. Food Quality 5. Backend service 0. Value for what you are paying 1. We ordered the house salads oil and vinegar and vinaigrette (no blue cheese available or ranch): both were fresh and good 3. Asked if they served bread: No 0. Backend service did not put the order on HOLD as the server requested and delivered the steaks( Prime Filet and Prime Ribeye) and baked potato while we were eating our salads: 1. Steaks were cooked well, requested Medium rare 5. Potatoes cooked and delivered with butter and sour cream, 5. We ordered a bottle of Pino Grigio; great bouquet, but lacked in tasted; Wife commented that she thought Rocky Point winery had better wine and I agree. Overall Rating 1. Food is good, but severely over priced. You do not get the service for the amount of money you will spend. Everything is a la carte Steaks, salad and side dishes. Ambiance: who has TVs in a steak house? Personal recommendations: go to The Top steak house in Columbus or Mancy's steak house in Toledo you will save $20 per steak and receive bread with you salad, choice of salad dressings and they too serve aged steaks. I have had better dinners at Texas Roadhouse than at the Beach Glass Lounge. Will we go again, probably not.

Telisha A.

Yelp
I will start with the positives. Nice, new, attractive space. Plenty of parking. Sat at the bar, service was good. Bartender was friendly. Drinks were good. Sadly, that's the only good things I can say about Beach Glass. Food is WAY overpriced for what you get. Ordered the truffle fries appetizer. It was basically potato wedges with not much truffle flavor. Next was Caesar salad. Really should just be called house salad. It had tomato's on it which was a new one for me. Dressing was not super flavorful. My friend had the lobster bisque. She said it was bland. Would not order again. My cousin and I split the burger. Asked for it to be cooked medium well. It came out basically raw. Sent back and they overcooked the same burger patty (had taken a bite out of it so we knew it was the same one.) Had extra sauce on it we assume to cover up the overcooked patty. Saw two men hanging around kitchen that looked to be either managers or owners. Thought they would come ask how we were doing considering we sent something back. The did not. They really didn't interact with customers at all. Missed opportunity to improve my opinion of the restaurant. For the prices being charged, I have higher expectations. The experience was more like a Applebees instead of a high end restaurant. Doubt I will return.

John W.

Yelp
Ambiance was good but was slightly spoiled by the constant tinkling of the beautiful glass chandelier over the door. We sat on the side with the regular chairs because the couch bench side just looked like you'd sink right in and disappear. "Lounge" to me does not bring French cuisine to mind. They had bread plates on the table with no bread served. Seems like a waste of water to have to wash all those bread plates that are used for nothing. But upon closer inspection, they were smeary and dirty looking. If they are supposed to be stand-ins for place mats to keep cloth napkins off the table, then use place mats. Prices are a much higher than typical in this area. Portions are pretty good though. I ordered a New York strip steak and it was cooked to perfection but my $46 steak didn't come with sides... They were extra. However, Brussel sprouts were terrifically made with bacon. Steak was so easy to cut with the butter knife but I was given a steak knife with another napkin. Again seems like a waste of a napkin that will just have to be washed. Fancy drink special the Black Cat was excellent and did not skimp on the vodka. Fries named "pommes frites" seemed silly. The French name shouldn't raise the price $10. The $20 burger was a nice size but was lost in the bun. Lowest cost appetizer was $20. Lobster Bisque soup was missing the lobster and was not served with any bread or crackers. The lava cake was small for $11 but did come with a nice scoop of ice cream and both were delicious.

Alice N.

Yelp
went to lunch today and had to wait 10 minutes before someone came to our table. finally ordered our drinks and had to wait again for the waiter to take our order. asked for salmon salad and told they were out. asked for crabcake and also out. got a steak salad and my husband got a chicken sandwich. my Salad had about a cup and a half of lettuce and a piece of steak which was about 5 ounces. $22. my husbands sandwich was a half of a chicken breast with a piece of chicken on the bun. two small tomatoes one piece of lettuce and 2 pieces of cheese which were not even melted on the sandwich. $19. total bill was $50 including iced tea. no silverware, no salt or pepper. had to ask for everything. I'm not one to complain but for a place that high end we were very disappointed. other restaurants in the area have better food and your not leaving hungry. you need a new chef and someone who knows what a $22 dollar salad and a $19 chicken sandwich looks like. Also there are thousands of home grown tomatoes in the area so you shouldn't be using store bought tomatoes with no taste and put some flavor in your meals. very bland and no taste
