"For more than 30 years, Beach Hut Cafe has been whipping up hearty meals in Jacksonville Beach. Almost the entire breakfast and lunch menu is under $10, with favorites like the complete country breakfast, which includes eggs, French toast or pancakes, breakfast meats, potatoes or grits, and a drink. The Jacksonville favorite sandwich, the Camel Rider, is on the lunch menu for just $8, piled high with salami, ham, bologna, American cheese, and a zesty house dressing." - Megan duBois

Google
5 stars for consistency and nostalgia alone. I've been coming to Beach Hut for brunch and breakfast for over 20 years. Sure, the place could use a little TLC, but honestly, I love that not much has changed. While I’ve had lunch here a couple of times, breakfast is where it’s at for me. Grits, a bacon, egg, and cheese on Texas toast, and that little fruit garnish on the plate—it's the small details that make it special. One standout feature? When ordering a bacon, egg, and cheese, you can get it scrambled all together. It completely changes the vibe, and it’s so good. Beach Hut isn’t fancy by any means, but they welcome you like family, and the breakfast has always been delicious. The picnic-style tables, local art, and true Southern hospitality make this place feel like home.

Google
We enjoyed our first time visiting and we will sure be back. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. Good portions for the price. Great diner atmosphere. It reflects the positive reviews.

Google
Great food and excellent service! A must stop for breakfast if you're beach side.

Google
Cute little food spot. Service is ok, food is good. Seems to have some trouble with AC, it is often quite hot inside. Does not make for comfortable dining. Picnic table type seating, which can be uncomfortable at times. Small restaurant, limited seating, so it can be quite difficult to get a table, and service is often slow. Still a decent place. We have gone several times. Different specials daily, so there is a variety of dishes to choose from, breakfast and lunch.

Google
Beach Hut is solid. The food is great and priced the best at the beach. I recommend grabbing a fruit bowl with your breakfast!

Google
Always packed, but so worth it! Prices are totally reasonable. Thanks for keeping it affordable so we can keep enjoying your amazing food. The crab Benedict is my absolute fave. I've tried other places, and this one's the best!

Google
I gave 5 stars to this place because their food was delicious and freah, their servers were really sweet, the atmosphere was actually fun family vibe. We had to stand outside in waiting for like 20 mins to get a table then waited a few after ordering to serve food which was understandable because they were busy. I had steak n eggs, brother had cheese burger, parents had 3 omelet with veggies and cheese and son had pancakes. We all loved out food we enjoyed every bite. Adding on to my review, we ended up going there again today because we had a good meal that we wanted to enjoy again. My husband ordered patty melt which, he said, was really good. It's a must try place for sure

Google
There is a reason 1.1k reviews give this place close to five stars. It’s local (not a chain), the food is outstanding, and they are very friendly! (Shout out to our waitress, Krystal, for the hot sauce suggestion!) I had the pumpkin pancakes, which were so moist they didn’t need syrup. We shared the biscuits and sausage gravy, which was - in a word - perfect. The homemade biscuits were fluffier than any other I have ever had, and the gravy was a perfect consistency and flavor. What a great find!

Yelp
Awesome local breakfast place! Close to home & always awesome customer service & the food is amazing Highly recommend! 5 Stars

Yelp
In town for a long weekend and found this little spot for breakfast pretty busy for a Thursday morning but we got a table easily. Really good food, just like home! Waitresses are very nice. Pricing is reasonable.

Alexa A.

Yelp
We come here when we have family in town and want to eat but not cook. The food is always so delicious here, staff are friendly. Plenary of seating inside.

Connie Jo G.

Yelp
Excellent local diner experience. Crab cake Benedict is top tier. Good grits too. They took such good care of us, we felt like a Beaches local. We plan our beach business trips to include stopping in for a meal.

Solveig S.

Yelp
You should come here, just not on the weekends. The wait is WAY too long on the weekends. But during the week, you'll have yourself a wonderful diner experience. The interior is super cute and beachy and you can't go wrong with your order. What you order is what you'll get (in a good way).

Chris M.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast as this new beach dive. The restaurant was cool and gave off a great vibe! Hubby and I loved our meal... looking forward to bringing the retirees!!!!

Andy L.

Yelp
Solid cheeseburger for early lunch served with bagged chips. Restaurant was busy but tables were open. Had to wait for table to be cleaned and service was a little slow. Always worth a visit though.

Samantha S.

Yelp
Dirty, disgusting, and horrific service. Will never be back and do not recommend. I would appreciate if a manager can message me privately.

Pam W.

Yelp
Beach Hut is a breakfast/lunch only restaurant with daily specials that is great and consistent. It was a busy Friday morning, only took a few minutes to get a table. Atmosphere is chill and laid back with friendly staff that are efficient. The home cooked food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! The fruit bowl is one of the best! You can order with or without coconut. Eggs over medium, grits, English muffin with butter were good. Can't wait to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere local to eat in Jacksonville Beach.

Leriza P.

Yelp
A local staple! That being said, it does get pretty busy. So, that says a LOT. The food is good, no frills. Ask for what you want, and they can usually make it. I went with the steak and eggs. Mmmmm. Oh! And spicy curly fries with ranch to dip? Yes, please! Service is pretty attentive, but bear with them, short on staff (because no one wants to work anymore), but the ones that do - are patient and amazing! Ask for Lisa, service with a smile, and she makes you feel right at home. If you're looking for fancy, this is not it. Picnic table seating, college sports stickers supporting teams, friendly smiles, relaxed atmosphere ... this is beach life. No judgments. Just people enjoying food and each others company. This morning, we were having a meeting over breakfast. It did get pretty loud in there because it was busy. But, I love how there's a mix of patrons - families with kids, groups of teenage friends, business owners, elderly couples, or even dining alone. It's a must visit in Jax Beach if you want to know where the locals eat. Hehe. Found them all! There was even a line forming when we were leaving! Thanks for your consistency, Beach Hut Cafe!

Allison F.

Yelp
Excellent service and you cannot beat the food. This is great for breakfast brunch & lunch.

Elaine M.

Yelp
Just picked the restaurant for today as a random stop based on my daughter's suggestion. I have to say Don't go on the weekend if you are hangry or in a hurry. This is a small diner with an old fashioned feel to it. There isn't a hostess to seat you, you just wait for an open table then seat yourself. The menu is full of favorites from breakfast to early dinner, which caused a taste bud dilemma for me. Since I did come for the breakfast items that was where my focus went. I picked the #3, which is three eggs, choice of home fries or grits, choice of meat, and choice of bread; toast, biscuits, english muffin. I love the options! Impressive! My husband picked the ham and cheese omelette, hime fries, and a biscuit . We both had orange juice as the drink of choice. Now I had no problem with the wait time once I was seated, but after 20 minutes I noticed the couple who he sat down 10 minutes after we did received their food before we did and didn't order any less than us. Not cool for this girl who has just became hangry at that point , and still had to wait another 5 minutes. Now even with that rant I want to say I so enjoyed this little spot. With the foot traffic going through there so does so many others, you could tell some were frequent patrons. I didn't give a 5 star for only the reason of the bathroom. My mom has instilled in me a that if the bathroom is a mess be careful with the cook. Not that the bathroom was dirty, just needs some drywall work, some ceiling work, those types of things. In all fairness it seems the business has been there for a bit which is awesome that it has survived in these turbulent times, not to mention the beach is a couple of blocks or so over so the salt water air has to cause some kind of break down. Just go visit this homey diner and enjoy all it has to offer. I'm so already planning my next trip!

Andrea F.

Yelp
Great little diner we stumbled upon while visiting Jacksonville. Delicious grilled cheese and my mom said the pumpkin pancakes were amazing. If ever in Jacksonville again, we would revisit.

Diane E.

Yelp
Atmosphere-Service-Food Options and Quality-ALL ABOVE FIVE STARS!! You can tell this place is a favorite for locals which speaks highly of the place. Laid back atmosphere, fast service and the food is delicious. It is in a strip mall so you may miss it at first. Another reviewer recommended the fruit bowl with coconut and we agree! The fruit bowl was plenty to share with the table as

Bill H.

Yelp
Great service and a tasty breakfast. Great service, will return. Nice beach atmosphere.

Yelp
Finally got back around to coming in for a meal- my last experience was a to-go order and this time John and I dined in and it was great. They have all the standard breakfast plates and John is of firm opinion that breakfast should be simple. No fru-fru ingredient experiments. lol~ so this was perfect. The picnic table style seating, with beach art everywhere- including a fantastic mural on the Northern wall. I ordered the corned beef hash breakfast and John went with country fried steak and eggs- with his gravy on the side. He prefers to dip and not be smothered. I am the gravy addict in the house. Our server was fantastic- I wish I could remember her name- she gave us to it right away. Food came out hot- eggs were cooked fluffy scrambled- just the way we like them. My hash was crazy fried! It was flat- lol, but all the crispy outside was so good! I personally didn't care for the homefries- I scraped them onto John's plate. And the biscuit- I said to John- this is the most bready biscuit ever. I know, makes no sense. The texture was off- it looked like a biscuit, smelled like a biscuit, tasted like a biscuit- but it was more light almost cake-like consistency. It threw me off- so I drowned it in some of Johns gravy and ate it with my eggs. It still tasted good! I could easily add this to my rotating breakfast spots now. It's better than some of the other ones John likes more than me! Next time- hashbrowns instead of homefries! That should make me happy.

Yelp
Parking Ample parking in open lot Location Just off 13th avenue south and 3rd street, Jax Beach, FL. Service Fair-attentive to coffee refills. Atmosphere Local breakfast hang out-vintage pictures on the wall. Food I had one egg over with corn beef hash and english muffin. Had to remind about muffin. The has is really good-crispy and tasty as was the egg. My daughter had french toast which wS cold. My son had a spinach omelette with cheese and ham-also cold. His hash browns looked awful as you can see by the pictures-mushy and cold. Another customer at a nearby table had hot beautiful crispy hash browns. Big difference! Grits were good. My friend had sausage that was good. Summary Local hang out. Be careful with hash browns and food temperature.

Matthew L.

Yelp
We tried this place based on the recommendation of someone. We went around 8:00 on Saturday morning and the parking lot was full. Don't be afraid if there are a lot of cars. We only waited a few minutes and people were coming and going all the time. According to the waitress (1 of 7 working) the owners have had this place 35 years and everything is made from scratch - canned biscuits and gravy here. My friend had the basic breakfast with French toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly- which is a big part of how I judge breakfast. I had the Mexican omelette which was filled with spicy chorizo - great choice. I asked for my home fries crispy and they delivered. We tried a side biscuit and gravy which was very good. If you are looking for a good traditional American breakfast place give this place a try. It's worth it!

Bob M.

Yelp
All star beaches staple for breakfast or lunch. No to pricey and flavors are awesome. Corn beef has is outstanding as well as all items on the breakfast menu. Lunch is featured with turkey club sandwich or French dip. Slaw and potato salad is all home made. Weekly hot plate specials are very well done. Do t miss this gem.

Yelp
Ah, Jax Beach, a coastal paradise that tickles the senses with its warm ocean breeze and sandy shores. During my recent sojourn to this delightful destination, I stumbled upon a hidden gem that captured my attention and captivated my taste buds - Beach Hut. Now, my dear readers, let me regale you with tales of my culinary adventure at this enchanting establishment, Brace yourselves for a tale of gastronomic intrigue, bewildering omelettes, and unexpected pancakes. As I entered Beach Hut, the ambience instantly transported me to a carefree beachside retreat. The air was alive with the fragrant whispers of sizzling delights. The décor, reminiscent of a beach shack, exuded a casual charm that made me feel right at home. And it was here that I discovered the star of the show - the Corn Beef Hash. Oh, what a marvel it was! A symphony of tender, savory corned beef, perfectly crisped potatoes, and a medley of aromatic spices that danced on my palate. Each bite was a revelation, a harmony of flavors that left me spellbound. Now, my dear readers, let me delve into a perplexing enigma that I encountered during my visit - the concept of an omelette. Yes, an omelette. Picture this: eggs, beaten and transformed into a fluffy canvas, ready to be adorned with a multitude of ingredients. At Beach Hut, the omelettes were a delightful mystery to unravel. As I perused the menu, my curiosity piqued at the bewildering array of fillings and combinations available. From the classic ham and cheese to the adventurous avocado and feta, the possibilities seemed endless. And yet, the idea of eggs wrapped around such diverse companions left me in a state of perplexed fascination. But fear not, my dear readers, for despite my confusion, the omelettes at Beach Hut were a delight to behold, each one a unique work of art. Now, let me recount an amusing tale that unfolded during my meal. As I savored the exquisite flavors of the Corn Beef Hash, the waitress bestowed upon me an unexpected surprise - random pancakes. Yes, random pancakes. In an act of whimsy, she kept bringing pancakes to my table, as if they were sprouting from the very essence of the Beach Hut itself. But oh, what delectable pancakes they were! Fluffy and golden, drizzled with maple syrup, each bite a delight that complemented the savory wonders on my plate. It was an experience of serendipity, a delightful deviation from the expected, and I couldn't help but embrace the whimsical nature of it all.

Mark D.

Yelp
Great breakfast spot. Food and service all very good. Eggs and pancakes were the hit. Would definitely go there again.

Chevelle H.

Yelp
I couldn't wait to talk about this gem. Randomly stopped for brunch around 11am. It was seat yourself and we sat at the counter. It was plenty of seating areas but they definitely turned over quickly. It is the home style meal you want to experience everyday. They have breakfast lunch & dinner. Our waiter was Molly and she was professional with that we've met before comfort. The food was DELICIOUS. Service was quick. It was very affordable and much better than chain restaurants.

Shahram F.

Yelp
Nothing too fancy or pricey. Just good old fashion American breakfast options that comes out quick by very friendly and hard working wait staff.

Thomas F.

Yelp
Walked in this morning and saw that this place was highly reviewed. Walked in the front door and stood and waited to see what to do. Decided to sit at the bar. No menus and I watched a server slice of piece of bread with her hands and a used knife on the counter (no cutting board). Still yet to be noticed by wait staff. Waited for about 15 minutes. There are better places to go. Also not sure of the cleanliness of the food.

Dianne P.

Yelp
The place was very busy but we didn't have to wait long. I usually get breakfast and my friend always orders the crab cake Benedict, which he loves. Today, we arrived at lunch time. Faye was our server and she was excellent and was busy! The folks next to us ordered the daily special hot lunch - fried chicken cutlet with sides of fried okra, collard greens and Mac and cheese. I wanted to knock them away from their plates and eat it! I order a chili dog with onions. It came out cut in half lengthwise and grilled. Very good start. The chili had green peppers but I ate around them. The side of fried okra came out hot and crunchy. I had also ordered broccoli cheese soup. It was very cheesy and OK. My dining partner loved his salad. Dr's orders- he had to have his chicken plain and that was how he got it. The salad was not over dressed and he enjoyed it. The sever was also the cashier since they were shorthanded. I'll be back

Yelp
What a great experience at this cafe near the beach. Very welcoming waiters. The food was very fresh and the chocolate milk was yum. It was very crowded and busy inside but that means the place is very happening. Inside they have cute beautiful beach decor which makes you look around and give you the perfect holiday Jacksonville beach vibe.

Claire D.

Yelp
HUGE FAN OF BEACH HUT. The vibe from the servers mixed with the aesthetic just feels like you are eating at home! I get the same thing EVERY.SINGLE. TIME. It's the most bang for ur buck! The complete. Tea or coffee, 2 eggs, bacon, home fries or grits, French toast or hot cakes! I always sub my home fries out for curly fries & add a side of Grits!

Ashley E.

Yelp
Cute little hole in the wall in JAX beach (close to the Neptune beach border). This place has that OG breakfast you're wanting and craving, made right! And during the week they have an early morning breakfast special for $5! Such a killer deal! I got the country friend steak and was very happy with my decision after going back and forth about a couple items. It was fried in a little different batter than normal, but it was to my liking! I went with the sausage gravy (they also had a white pepper gravy without the sausage and a brown gravy to choose from) . I got my eggs scrambled and cheesy... they did not disappoint! And of course I got the grits, being from the south it's a must, with cheese (as recommended by my friend). They were ok, not my favorite and did have to add a little salt, but all in all I was happy with meal. Two of my friends for the complete country breakfast -- one said it was everything they needed and the perfect size, and the other wished the pancakes would have been a little bigger, but got a side of cheesy grits to make up for it! Another friend for the bennys and cleared her plate, so no complaints there! Let's just say, the plates were clean, our bellies were full and all left with smiles and a craving to come back again! If you're going on the weekend, make sure to get there before 10 or the line can be crazy long... so be prepared. Also if you're bigger than a party of 2, your meal might take a little longer as our service seemed a little slow with 4 people, but honestly I can't blame them as it was a Sunday and the line was out the door, so I'm sure they were going as fast as they could! It was a pleasant experience and I'm looking forward to coming back next time I'm in the area!

Melissa W.

Yelp
Beach hut is my favorite breakfast spot. Very reasonably priced. Servers are so friendly. The Turkey club is the best, not ridiculously huge like other places where you can't even take a bite.

Matthew C.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch. The place was packed and Shannon helped me out at the bar. She is literally the nicest and most helpful server ever. I went with a turkey club and beans. It was a simple great lunch that arrived fast and perfect. Alternatively, allot of people were ordering breakfast food and other dishes coming out of the coop that looked delightful. I will for sure be back soon. 10/10

Nina M.

Yelp
The wait, was worth the wait! I highly recommend this place. Real good food and Inexpensive to! $7.99 for this

Jim B.

Yelp
Picked up a couple of bagels for breakfast. They tasted good. Would I go back, no sure...

Jason O.

Yelp
The family loved this place. Classic breakfast diner atmosphere with genuinely friendly service. Short wait for a table but people seem to cycle through quickly. If you like fruit go for the fruit bowl. It's beautiful and tasty.

Dahoud H.

Yelp
I usually eat breakfast here but today I had the reuben sandwich and it was awesome made by Richard continue the good service.

Kiona P.

Yelp
You know that familiar smell when you walk into your Grandma's house? That's exactly what it felt like when i walked into the Beach Hut Cafe this morning. I stopped in here after a run on the beach and it completely hit the spot. As I sat sipping my coffee waiting for my breakfast to cone out, I watched as all the waitresses and staff smiled and welcomed people as they walked in the door. It was like every one was a regular and they knew them all by name. Definitely a place I will come back to again!!

James W.

Yelp
Been going to Beach Hit for over 30 years. Consistent and predictable. Food is good and service is well above average. Wishing them another 30+ years!

Steve M.

Yelp
Just left one of my favorite breakfast spots thinking I may not return. Horrible and nearly rude service today. No refill on the coffee and waited over 15 minutes before I decided we had not enough time to wait. As I paid the server had a rude attitude and didn't feel the need to apologize. She left us there with no coffee and not even an apology? That's what the service industry is turning into. Too bad

Caci D.

Yelp
A great place for a country breakfast for a great price. Get the fruit bowl with coconut for the table, you won't be disappointed.

Tim M.

Yelp
I've been here a million times and found this to be my go to spot unless they closed! But anyway I had a crippling stroke over a year ago and don't get out often if at all. So my son comes into town and tells me his flight is arriving at 10:30 which I knew this great diner would be open for take out seeing I can't walk. So I get the BLT with iceberg lettuce and tomatoes and a side of fries and a large iced tea unsweetened. I'm in heaven! I can't wait until Monday where I'll get my second dose of Beach Hut Diner! Maybe the same thing but maybe not!

Ashley Q.

Yelp
After having breakfast here yesterday, my fiancée said "I am coming here at least once a week from now on" and I think that perfectly sums up our brunch experience. We came here on a drizzly Saturday and took advantage of their covered outdoor dining. I ordered their breakfast special (such a good deal!) so I could sample everything. Pro tip: ask for cheesy grits instead of plain- you'll be happy you did! Everything was cooked to perfection, especially the potatoes. Super crispy and so delicious. My fiancé got an omelette with all the sides and he loved it. The service was awesome as well. We will be back soon for sure!

Alexandra T.

Yelp
Best Beach Breakfast at an Affordable Price! Cutest little small beach style brunch restaurant. Great portion sizes at an affordable price. I ordered the Complete Country Breakfast Special, which was the perfect amount of food to treat your salty and sweet taste buds. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the French toast was Incredible* (wish I ordered a full plate), crispy tasty bacon and instead of a starch, I was able to opt in for the most delicious fruit bowl I have ever had with shaved coconut on top....now that's going the extra mile to make me go COCONUTS for this place! Our waitress was darling and super sweet and was attentive to fill up coffee when it ran low. Appreciated her attentiveness even while we were sitting outside. Highly recommend this place for breakfast or brunch. Can't wait to go back again soon!!!

Colleen K.

Yelp
Peggy , my server , was so welcoming, friendly and professional. This mom and pop diner was a real pleasure to find. Owners are in the kitchen cooking. All the servers are happy and work well together. Many customers are Obviously regulars and greeted by first name. Love this place ! I will for sure be back to try more menu items. Thank you Peggy !

Lee M.

Yelp
Great breakfast place. Old school Jax beach diner. Be hungry and enjoy. Biscuits and gravy and eggs rock

Gabriela K.

Yelp
I visited again today and food was awesome as usual, coffee was super fresh and delicious. We got a table right away, they were packed and kitchen was a little backed up, but hey... it's a holiday. Joy our waitress was awesome! This place ROCKS!!! I truly love this place, in my mind, it's the best breakfast in Jacksonville, and I have visited multiple other places. It's not fancy by any means, but they always deliver perfectly cooked to order eggs and delicious coffee, the never seems to end! My cup is always full whenever I stop by. If you visit on the early side of the morning, you should not have a long wait. Today, (Sunday) I didn't have to wait at all. Walked in 9:27 am and there were multiple tables available. If you are on the late schedule, expect to wait...but the wait is well worth it. Plenty of yummy items to chose from, at an affordable price. Highly recommended place in Jax beach.

David T.

Yelp
Service was poor. Person who ordered after me had meal and finished before I got mine. Slow on coffee and check. Food was average. What's with hash browns in Florida? These we're barely thawed tater squares. Come on..

Samantha W.

Yelp
This place is the best!!! Food is simple yet delicious. You can tell the food is made from scratch and sprinkled with love. The biscuits literally melt in your mouth. Even the fruit cup is chilled, fresh.. it was so good I ordered two. Ms Kim was so sweet and attentive even with the line being out the door. The prices are great and the atmosphere is so welcoming. I couldn't recommend a place more.

Bill L.

Yelp
Another amazing breakfast! This is the perfect spot at the beach to get out of the heat and get a great meal. The dining room is pretty spacious and the bench tables closely arranged for max seating capacity. We typically go for breakfast but the lunch food is equally as tasty. On this recent visit we ordered breakfast sandwiches. Wifey had scrambled eggs on an English muffin and I went with a bagel w sausage, egg n cheese all scrambled together. The food was out quickly and each plate included a fresh slice of orange, nice touch. Great food, service super friendly and efficient and the prices very reasonable.

N W.

Yelp
Love this wonderful beach diner that makes the best western omelet I've had since I was a kid!! Friendly service and a family atmosphere.

Debora D.

Yelp
What a nice little place for breakfast or lunch! The food was delicious and the staff friendly and courteous! We will be back!

Lisa S.

Yelp
Always a great breakfast at Beach Hut!! I take all my out-of-town guest there, and that's where they want to go when they come back to visit the next time!!!
