Beach Hut Deli

Ordered the California veggie sandwich with no onions and received a sandwich with the bread cut short with the toppings falling out with onions loaded in it with no tomatoes or spinach. Disappointed I spent money on this. Workers were distracted and more into their own conversations rather than making a sandwich with correct ingredients/quality.

Buyer beware, I would avoid the CA Philly cheese steak. Pick something with deli meat. Compare this picture to any of their other sandwiches, you pay more because of the premium ingredients, but get less. Imagine paying $30 for this + 1 beer. I had to do a double take when I first saw it. Think what $30 can get you literally anywhere else in the area. The Beach Hut locations on Sunrise, Sierra College, and Douglas are all phenomenal. This location is a poor representation of what Beach Hut can, and should be. Cleanliness is a big problem here too.

Cool place to eat (most are identical) and has a Star Wars booth themed with a few things from the movie for fans! Delicious and well prepared sandwiches with a great proportion, so come hungry. This place had a very friendly and professional staff, great experience.

Ordered 3 sandwiches. 2 beachcombers with turkey/roast beef, everything on. With jalapeños. 1 skinny dipper. The beachcombers came turkey and salami. Jalapeños non existent. Tried calling, no answer. Wasn’t a pleasant experience with the service today. I dont wanna spend $16 ins sandwich I didn’t order. Drove home and was unpleased, didn’t wanna drive 20 min back on 65 and than have to wait for a correction. 3/6/25 at 2:30

Counter serve deli with a Beach Bar vibe offering delicious gourmet sandwiches. I had The Willy, a thick sliced roast beef sandwich with cheddar and cream cheese, bacon and lettuce. What more could you ask for, they offer bar top service, pinball games and great playlist on the speakers. Located next to the mall and all kinds of shopping, so if you in the mood for a good sandwich make a stop in.

When calling for an order, it would be more professional by calling the persons name instead of saying online order. What if there were multiple online orders, would they still yell put online order by the customers name???

Employees were not attentive, girl literally walked away from register as I entered. Waited several minutes for another employee male who was friendly and took my order . Other male was walking around yelling it was his birthday, I will not return to this location again.

I seriously forget how great of a sandwich place this is. I get the Sant Cruz and instantly go to my happy place!!

This deli is a pleasant surprise for it's location. It's cute with surf decor and it's noticeably clean inside, including the restroom. There are some interesting sandwiches on their menu and a decent amount of good beers on tap and in the cooler. The cashier was friendly and our food came to us quickly. Our sandwiches were really good! Everything tasted fresh and the bread was super soft. My only suggestion for this spot would be to carry oil and vinegar; for me, a sandwich just isn't the same without it. But overall, this spot was great and I'm glad I stopped in.

Beach Hut Deli did a great job providing sandwiches for my dad's 90th birthday party. The sandwiches were fresh, delicious and loaded with ingredients. They were very helpful when ordering and made great suggestions! Perfect choice for a casual gathering of friends!

The sandwich was messy but super full of flavor. Sammy guided me through the menu and matched my personality to this marvelous sandwich. Angela prepared it and convinced it to be as flavorful as it could be. Jillian has a wonderful voice and filled the restaurant with sweet music. The restaurant is extremely clean and so are the restrooms. You're all doing an amazing job. Thanks

The vibes over here are straight up relaxing , close your eyes and chill at the beach. The draft beer and sandwiches are on point. This place should become a regular hot spot for trivia night, your next fantasy draft or a cool place to escape the heat. Excellent service !

I dropped off my car at Five star auto next door and had an hour to kill. I decided to grab some lunch and walked next door for a sandwich. It was lunchtime so they were a bit busy. First thing I noticed was the dirty tables. They didnt seem to be wiped down and there were crumpled up dirty napkins everywhere. I ordered my sandwich and took a seat. I got the Santa Cruz and side of potatoe salad. The potatoe salad was surprisingly really good for a sandwich shop. I mean I was impressed. My sandwich was good too but while eating the staff were chatting it up very loudly. They were a young crew but it just seemed a bit unprofessional the crap they were talking about within ear shot of the customers. Next time I'll eat outside.

If you have not been to this place in sometime. You need to come back! the crew is amazing they provide you with a relaxed chill environment.They have listened to my salad modifications added all the extras and made it look soooo pretty!!. They are family friendly, pet friendly and just friendly in general! Perfect for any occasion!

I was very impressed by this location. The staff was super friendly. I loved the star wars themed decor and pin ball machines. Sandwiches came out great as always. There's a great customer atmosphere and the tall red head staff member was helpful in selecting a sandwich for me. If I could give more stars I would. Great job staff!

My first time ever. I soon as I walked in they had Reggae playing and the whole beach vibe going on. It was super cute. The girls working were super cute also. I wish I remembered the girl's name who helped me. She was very sweet , friendly and helpful. She kept apologizing for everything though. I'm it isn't because she's used to dealing with rude customers. Anyway...I ordered he BIKINI, a POG Seltzer, Coconut Hello Dolly dessert which was delicious! The sandwich was sooooo good and huge! I was only able to eat half. Oh yeah, they have a really cute hut you can sit at outside. Will definitely be back!

HORRIBLE, do not order from here. Lady asked me 3 times over the phone same question about what lettuce/ salad mix I wanted for the super salad and I told her 3 times I wanted spring mix with spinach. She finally heard me and said okay. My husband picked up my order and we get home to eat, only to see that my salad is all spinach and has god know's how old of Cilantro (Which isn't even suppose to be on the salad). If the cilantro is this old it makes me question how old is this chicken? No wonder this location has horrible ratings. Never ordering from this location again and sticking with the Eureka Road location.

I Stan for beach hut. From Sac, SJ and even Santa Cruz. I've been to many different of their locations. Each with similar vibes and ambiance. While this location in rocklin/Roseville area is convenient. It was a different experience. The food was good and service was decently fast. But I couldn't get over the environment. Slightly stuffy and smelt damp my colleagues and myself couldn't quite find what was directly affecting the climate and humidity in the store. It wasn't bad enough that we couldn't enjoy our meal inside. But was strange. Also not sure if this is standard as I've never seen it before in other locations (including Santa Cruz shop). But dogs were inside the store (plural) not big nasty ones and not service dogs. Just pets. Free to roam and move around. Just was a bit surprised. Would come here again to order but take it to go.

last night my wife and i split a calif cheese steak sandwich. $25. we both got ill. mild food poisoning. should have known better when i saw the meat coming out of the microwave and not off the grill. have had great food at other beachhut but i don't think i will return to this one.

Hot beef on toasted french roll. Excellent, we split a large, ie 9" size. Loved all the filling items too. No side, have to order separately.

It's ok. A bit rough around the edges a little tired looking, maybe they should close one day a week and really do a dusting and cleaning, but if we were at an actual beach it would be so different there would be moisture, dogs, no shirts no shoes and I'll bet they'd still serve you. I feel bad for any restaurant right now. It's hard to keep up on the little things. It was slow when we came in and our order wasn't quite right a very small order, by the way, I would've given five stars if our order was made correctly and the prices weren't as high as they are now.

Last time we went to beach hut it was over $80 for three sandwiches. I put it on my do not go list. Today i thought I'd try again and get one large sandwich for myself. $27.80! I said no way and walked out. If you pay almost $30 for a deli sandwich you're insane.

I'M DONE WITH BEACH HUT DELI The last 3 times I've ordered a LaJolla sandwich, they've screwed it up. I didn't complain the first two times. But then Covid19 hit and I ordered from them because I wanted to support local businesses during the crisis. And they screwed up my order....again. Somebody there doesn't know the difference between a LaJolla sandwich and a California sandwich. Maybe it's the entire staff. I dunno. What I do know is that they can't ever make the right one. So I called to complain and the guy on the other end has absolutely no concern whatsoever that a long time customer is no longer supporting them. I'll never order so much as a potato chip from this place again. If a manager/owner reads this: TRAIN YOUR STAFF.

We tried the Malibu and the High Tide today for a late lunch. Absolutely delicious! The garlic cheese bread was perfectly toasted and all the ingredients on both sandwiches were fresh - especially the avocado! The seating area is quaint, but we found enough space for everyone in our group. For as busy as they were, the place was clean, except for the bathrooms. The bathrooms were a disaster with muddy floors and paper towels everywhere. We were fine with the trade off of fast and delicious food though.

Wish I could give it a 4 star for its food but had to give it a 1 star! We have come in here in the last month three times as we get our car washed next door and have lunch here. All three times have been different days of the week and every time the place looks like a pig pen!!!! This visit 5/1 not one table had been cleaned looks like they haven't been in a couple of weeks, floors looked like they have never been cleaned! As we waited to see if staff would clear one of the booths the finally did but only cleared them never cleaned them as food was laying under every booth and table was dirty! Finally found a table that was sum what clean however no napkins as the napkins hold was empty and you could still see the beer or soda ring stains. When walking out not sure when the last time they mopped! Only can image what the back looks like and the counter where your food is made! This no long feel like a sandwich shop more like your local bar....

I have never been to this location before. It was very good! Fun little restaurant. Even had a few video games and pin ball. Next time I want to play! Kind of seemed like the local hang out. Even has a bar type counter. We enjoyed there chip selection. We will be back.

My wife ordered one of their sandwiches and asked for no cream cheese and no mayonnaise. Paid for them, left a tip and upon returning home discovered that the sandwich had cream cheese and lots of mayonnaise. I called and spoke to the manager who said that they were busy and he would remove the sandwich charge. The deli wasn't busy, after calling again I was told it was too late to comp the sandwich charge. So now I have to deal with my credit card company. Definitely won't be going back to this place ever again.

This was the best lunch I've experienced in a long time, del was very helpful, and even went above and beyond showing me a mixture of cider and seltzer that was hands down amazing, then wrapped my sandwich to get everything put together better. The atmosphere was quiet, but was teeming with excitement as all of us (bhd guests ) watched the niners game. I will definitely be coming back. 10 outa 10 would do again

I go to all the beach huts in Rocklin-Roseville-Granite Bay Area and the Rocklin on one standford ranch is by far the worst! The staff is constantly just standing around or going outside to smoke. I ordered a SALAD online and was quoted it to be ready between 12:10-12:30. I arrived at 12:38 and was just handed my food (it's 1:00). There were TWO costumers in the building. And 1 of 3 of the staff actually working. It's too bad that good places with such potential are slowly being ruined by lazy staff. I'll be driving an extra 15 min to the Roseville beach hut from now on.

So happy with our experience today. Went in after visiting the gun vault to get some lunch. We were welcomed with nice greetings and smiles all around. My bf and I had an amazing conversation with the guy who made our sandwich today he was so kind. Thank you guys for making getting lunch a more enjoyable experience you guys made our day. Both workers displayed excellent customer service. The food is tasty as always.

I shouldn't be surprised this location is 2.5 stars. They have really gone down hill and I will not be eating at this location ever again. They can't get a simple nacho order done correctly. A few weeks ago I called in an order. Marley nachos and Chili nachos. I asked for no onions or pepporncini on the Chili Nachos. When I arrived, the person making them was chatting away with her buddy at the bar, low and behold my nachos had onions and pepporoncini all over it. They couldn't make a new one because they were out of cheese. They put me in some book for a free one next time I'm in. Didn't help me with dinner that night. Today I ordered from Door Dash, which picked this location as they are closest to my house. I even called them and the girl confirmed that yes on the order it said no onions or pepperoncini. So the food arrives and while those items were not included.... neither was any chili. They are Chili nachos for God's Sake. We've had bad luck with this location and shame on us for continuing to give them chances.... no more I'm done.

Their sandwiches are good, same as any other beach hut, but this place is grungy! The seating is unorganized. Bathrooms are discussing. Not coming back here.

I love me some Beach Hut. Have for the past 15 years and this is the redo of one of the originals. Way better than the ones in the bay area. That said, went here on a trip through Rocklin last week, called twice driving in to order ahead and they never answered even after 20 rings. Tried the online ordering, but it was broke too. Went ahead and stopped in to order to go 2 sandwhiches and a salad. Took 10 minutes while the girls working there gabbed. Got to our destination and saw that both sandwiches were wrong...got a pig instead of a cow and the other missing half the meat. But, even still, the sandwiches were so good that I will still put up with all that bs.

When I'm in the mood for a really good sandwich, this place is the first one to come to mind. I frequent the location off 5 star Blvd because it is close to work. The staff is always super friendly, prompt and it seems like most patrons in there, simply go to hang out and enjoy themselves with a local brew in hand. I'm usually there experiencing slight FOMO because I can't have a craft beer with my lunch, but that's ok, the sandwich and positive energy will keep me going back.

My husband and I love Beach Hut Deli. We always stop on our way to Tahoe. I love that they have the option to have the sandwich lettuce wrapped instead of with bread. The surfing bird is our personal favorite and we love the fresh ingredients and topping options they have.

I am not going to even oblige this business with a picture or bug thing of the sort. The bill came down to $36.45... for 2 damed 6 inch sandwiches!! Are ya freakin kidding me?!? I've had delicious sandwiches and subs, and I would dare say I would've paid that price for a Subway sandwich compared to what I got at Beach Hut Deli! So, first, got the Malibu sandwich, added lettuce, tomatoes, onions. Wife ordered the turkey and cheese sub with provolone cheese, but they messed up her cheese selection and instead of provolone, they put cheddar! Ok, now my crap sandwich... I read it came in on toasted garlic bread... me thinking it was going to be on a subway shaped style bread... nope! It came on regular thin sandwich bread... hell, wonder bread is thicker than the bread they put it on to make my sandwich! Also... now here's the kick in the head... we left the deli to eat somewhere really close, not even a mile away from the deli, and when we started to eat our sandwiches, my sandwich was completely soaked from all the damned juices, and not even a sandwich anymore! Who the hell serves their damned sandwiches with so much water that the bread soaks it up and destroys the sandwich- totally falling apart so you can't even pick it up to eat it?!? So, yeah, for paying $36.45, I would've expected a gourmet deli sandwich and correctly made in the first place! I even tipped and wish I hadn't and could take that money back! Sorry to say, horrible experience and they need to learn to not make their sandwiches so wet it could soak up a gallon of water!

I went here once and will never come back. The staff are rude and very immature and unprofessional. I was there with my son and took him to the restroom, one of the staff girls started banging on the door screaming "one person per use! " My son is 5! How disrespectful and immature! And then she walks over to the bar and starts laughing with her coworkers. What kind of mind altering substances are you on? You're on the clock! Mostly, just be a normal human being. I confronted her, she said her name was Zoe, in case I wanted to write a negative review, this was few months back. We walked out of that place, and will never return to any location.

Went to this beach hut deli today for lunch. Sandwich was made just as I requested. That's where the positive stopped!! This location is dirty. They had boxes of who knows what stacked all over, particularly in the area where they make the sandwiches. They had 1 iced tea available. The women making the sandwiches had a glove on. Can't remember if they had masks but one of the woman who was making the sandwiches kept touching her hair! I thought hair was to be tied back and out of your face when you were dealing with food preparation! I used to go there regularly. Then it seemed to go downhill so I decided to take a break for a while. I was shocked at the inside of the deli and the lack of safety hygiene by the food preparers. I'll never go back!! They just don't care!! Half a star for getting my sandwich right, but the rest detracted from getting any more stars!

No stars! The staff was preparing and serving food and beers to customers without masks! I didn't even see a single mask on an employee.

My friend was picking up an order , so i called and added my order and paid for it. When she got there she called me because they didnt have my order. We realized i called the wrong location. I had a backyard full if people, so i couldnt leave. I called the location and explained what happened. I knew the sandwich was already made, so no refund needed it was my bad. When they arrived with their order to my surprise my sandwhich was inc. The first store must of called the other location and got me my sandwhich. Kudos to whoever made that happen. Very great service from both stores, rocklin.

I love beach hut so much and have not been in the area for years so I had to go check it out. This location is the worst one I've ever seen and it was so filthy and disgusting it was unbelievable. I sat down at the bar and there was only one other person at the bar and a few others at the dining tables. The lady was drinking beer and cutting up tomatoes and talking with a guy who was drinking beer and playing on his phone I said hello to them and the girl looked up at me and then look back down and I could tell there was going to be an issue. So I started my timer and sat there looking at her and she walked outside and came back a little later and at the seven minute mark I just got up and left. They never asked me if I wanted a menu or if I wanted anything to drink and I have never experienced that at any location. I have not experienced that at any restaurant in the world even with the rude people in New York City. I scroll through and see all these other comments and this is obviously the normal here. This is so sad I used to love going to beach hut a couple times a week. I can see some of these reviews are fairly old and nothing has been done about it. One star is extremely generous for this location.

The lady's here are great and super fast and helpful they are awesome and fun I love this location it's super up beat and fast the food is great

Best sandwiches in town! Huge portions, great staff, great selection of local craft beer on tap and regulars are all friendly as can be! Will be back regularly.

Love the wakie bakie any time of day! But wish they had better non-alcoholic drink selections. Golden Peak tea is awful everywhere I go. Please improve non-calorie drink selections!

This is the worst location I have ever been to. Doors were unlocked late. No greeting. Staff acted like they did not want to be there. It was dirty, the bathroom was not clean for just opening. It smelled when we walked in.... no good all the way around. Will not be back!

Charlie is the best employee at this place! Every time my fiancé and I visit he is busting his butt. He cleans, attends to extra guest needs, is super informed and knowledgeable about the menu, goes above and beyond to satisfy guest requests. He even comes to tables and cleans / clears dishes like it's a full service restaurant all while holding down the front as well. I've been in restaurant management in my past for very high level corporate restaurants and Charlie would be a HUGE ASSET to any company. It's refreshing seeing a young gentleman with so much care and enthusiasm at his place of employment. Beach Hut better keep him around for a long time or promote him! He keeps us coming back :)

What's going on with this location??? The service is not like I'm used to at other Beach Hut locations---here sandwiches take 25-30+ minutes. It doesn't seem like it's busy but food always takes a long time. Employees are never in a hurry either. My husband and I both have had 4 experiences like this in the past few months. I'm not sure why we keep coming back, but today was the last straw. We will NOT BE BACK. It's such a shame, Beach Hut.

First let me say huge fan of the sandwiches from this company. However the Roseville location must be run by a different group. From auburn to mission viejo I love the Sandwiches this location is a joke every time I go there they seem Ill prepared to be in business. Whether you want masks or not. Most people serving or making food. Have masks. No big deal. But I walk in. And was told it would be a 45 minute wait for a sandwich they had two employees standing around drinking beer. Not making sandwiches I ordered and went next door to get my car wash. Came back thirty minutes later the same two employees were standing in corner. No one was making sandwiches and mine was not ready. 15 minutes later the woman finished her beer and joked to other employee I better make a sandwich or we may get another negative yelp revuew and laughed. Just amazing behavior. I am not a princess at all but come on step up and run your business stop ruining a good corporate name with bs. They won't care what I or anyone else says. It almost seemed like they are trying to be awful. Close this branch before in tarnishes the image everywhere

I stopped by this beach hut deli as a pitstop, and ordered the Cabo salad. It took quite a long time to come out, even though there was plenty of employees behind the counter and no line. The salad was large, and I was unable to finish all of it before getting full. It was okay, but nothing special. I would prefer to go elsewhere, with better service and sandwiches that are better priced.

Tried the location in Davis where the employee was under the influence so I didn't hold that against them and decided to give this location a try. It took 25 minutes to get two sandwiches out and they were not made correctly. We asked for rolls instead of wheat bread and when I asked if they could make it per our request they said "that's how it comes". Higher priced for not much food and really slow service.

This is usually our go to lunch spot for a cold brew and a fresh sandwich. That will certainly change after this experience. We had 2 toddlers with us when we went to grab some dinner. We ordered and ate around 7:30, once the clock struck 7:50 (they close at 8) the music changed to extremely profanity and they locked the doors. We were told we could not exit out the front to our car just steps away because the doors were locked for closing. For those with children you understand the additional burden. As we walked out the back and all-the-way around the building, we began loading our children in the car. Then the workers opened the front doors for other patrons to quickly access the smoke shop next door!!!!! The employees have clearly changed and the customer service has changed with them. If you want to feel unwelcome and receive horrible service, go to beach hut Roseville.

There was a hair in our sandwich, they are too damn expensive for the crappy quality of meats they use and we paid for extra cheese and never got it. I will never go to this discussing place again

I called in a few sandwiches and they gave a time estimate of when it would be ready. They were right on time when we came in to pick up. Fun, friendly atmosphere. They were sweet with my kids too!

This beach hut is disgusting. They do not wipe the tables outside down or inside for that matter. The employees have no customer service experience at all apparently.. I would recommend hiring for ability to work - not how pretty they are.

Beach hut deli fail. I've been to this location several time and have always been underwhelmed. But on my last visit it was down right bad. I should've known when I walked in and the guy counting money at the register didn't even say hello. He made eye contact (with a blank stare) and went back to counting. So I stood there for 4 minutes and finally a young lady came to take my order, she seemed thrilled to do it (I'm being sarcastic). She takes my Oder which is to go. And I sit and wait. 32 minutes to make one sandwich and a cup of soup. 32 MINUTES! I get my food and looks in the bag. And wouldn't you know it, no soup. Of course. I let them know there's no soup. They're happy to grab it for me, of course it takes and additional 6 mins to get a cup of soup. They call me back to the bar only to show me a half cup of soup and to let me know they don't have enough soup. Cool. I'll just take a refund. My one sandwich was the largest size usually comes cut in half but it was cut into 4s for some reason. I get home to eat with my wife. And it's all thrown together haphazardly nothing like any other beach hut would do. And nothing tasted fresh like you would expect from beach hut. Huge waste of time and money. My 3 year old could've made a better sandwich.
