Beach Palms Carlsbad

Very comfortable and so close to the ocean. We really appreciated this place to stay and have been here more than once!

Our favorite place to stay. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. Always clean and has everything you need to go to the beach. Wagon, towels, chairs, umbrellas, kids toys. The units are affordable and offer so many amenities, all you need to bring is some beachwear and clothes. The rest is easy and a very short walk to restaurants and the beach.

We stayed at the Beach Palms over the Thanksgiving holiday, our stay was wonderful, we had a family get together, so the reservation was for two units. The manger was very accommodating and understanding - Our original reservation was for 2020, however we had to cancel it due to COVID, the owners offered us a credit, we were able to reserve the same rental units for 2021. The rentals had everything we needed - including beach chairs, umbrellas body boards, and a beach wagon - It was a short walk to the beach. Also a short walk to downtown with all the shops and restaurants. Can't wait to go back. Would recommend this place to anyone.

This place was WELL ABOVE our expectations! Lily did not miss a detail as a host, and offers more than anyone could ask for during their stay. She is accommodating, friendly, easy to communicate with, and her maid service is just as kind. I currently live in San Diego and we stayed here (family of 4 with kids) during our transition into our new home. The location is AMAZING!!! Parking is easy. Everything you could possibly need is offered (beach toys, carts, chairs, coffee, sugar, EVERYTHING!!!). She has sauces, Qtips, iron and board, trundle bed... need I go on? If you are considering a trip to Carlsbad this place, booked on Airbnb, is a must stay! The laundry on site is free! And the outdoor shower is heated... and best of all the beds are incredibly comfortable! Thank you Lily we really enjoyed our time here.

Great little beach apartment. Good value. Clean. Good amenities including towels and beach gear, umbrellas, chairs, wagon. Sooo close to the beach. Great location. Definitely recommend

This place is exactly what my family and I needed. Everything inside the condo seems new and had a really cozy vibe to it. Its right next to the beach with tons of places to walk to. Lily was great and did such a great job of hosting us

We booked with Beach Palms at the recommendation of a family friend. Unfortunately, with Covid surging, we were advised by our pediatrician to no longer fly to California with our 1 year old to see family for the holidays. I reached out to Lily at Beach Palms to see what accommodation could be made. I was told that because we were requesting changes to our reservation with less than 30 days notice, no accommodation would be made and none of the cost would be refunded. She would not allow us to reschedule our reservation for the spring either. I would only book with Beach Palms if you are certain that you can make your trip and do not expect good customer service.

We went to stay there last year right as covid started. Nothing was closed when we left but within 24 hours of out stay starting they closed carlsbad. So we left so we would not be stuck there. They would only give us 1 nights stay credit for all the trouble we had. After their decision of only 1 night we said we wanted a refund since they were.not willing to work with us. I would never ever stay here or recommend anyone staying here. I rather sleep in the streets. I have filed complaints against this company. Hopefully it will help others in the future and they will be more professional.

The Beach Palms Aka Seaside Apartments, located on Pine Ave. The Beach Palms in Carlsbad, vacation rentals, i am giving 1 star, for the lack of hiring a capable property manager. The property "manager" her name is "Angel" although she is more like "devil" Seaside Apartments on Pine Ave in Carlsbad is what The Beach Palms run. They are vacation rentals AND apartment rentals. We were going to rent a unit here for summer. Then we met with "property manager." I can not express how awful this woman is, and she has NO idea how to be a property manager. Unprofessional. Lilly, is the owner or real property manager,although we never met, if you allow a woman like this to run any aspect of your rental business, then it will eventually fail. I ALSO notified THE PRO rental company, who's name you are using online at many rental sites. Patrick*#*#*#and associates, they happen to be good friends of mine abs not thrilled your online Zillow name if googled goes to their property. I would have never noticed any of this, but after my experience with Angel i dug deep. Especially when you had no regards for her behavior. Even after I messaged abs called you that she is possibly under fair housing regulations violations. Lilly, when i called to talk about your "property manager Angel" you refused my calls. I knew you needed to be looked at closer. The GOOD: Zero. Well ONE good thing. 1. I was surprised not to find guests or tenants floating like human ice cubes in pool. 2. No need for an ice machine when you have a freezing pool. The BAD: 1. The property manager (and i see another review about her. Shows owners don't care.) Angel even violated fair housing regulations. Lilly doesn't care. 2. THE POOL IS FREEZING. Never heated, and if you are visiting Cali. There are only a few weeks in the summer a pool doesn't need heated. The nights are very chilly. Even heated enough to take the chill off would be appropriate. 3. Even though the pool is freezing, it is not enough to ice skate on. So thumbs down for that, a few more degrees colder and you could ice skate. May want to pack ice skates just in case. Conclusion: IF you can't find ANY OTHER rental close to beach in Carlsbad, I HIGHLY suggest that you pitch a tent on the beach then to risk this place. There are beautiful campgrounds, who don't have fake angels as property managers. Also who do not have their rental accounts falsely listed as reputable property management companies. YOU are better pitching a tent OR paying for a hotel/motel. Do NOT stay here. If you message me, i could be of some guidance, as if i was vacationing and ended up here i would be sad. Note: IF the owners used a different property manager and spent some money heating the ice skating ring so it could be a pool. The property would be great.

I booked condo on AirBNB, made plans and then 2 days before my trip the host cancelled. No explanation whatsoever. I booked the location two week prior to my stay. It created a huge inconvenience and left me scrambling to find another location. Not worth the money either way, I drove by the location and only the corner view is of the ocean with the main area shared by other occupants. I found a true beachside condo for the less than what this condo would have cost me. Do your research and save yourself the headache.

We have been vacationing at this wonderful condo apartment rental for 3 days now and it has been Great, very relaxing. We are away from the beach front street by just a few dozen yards. It's an easy walk to the beach, but far enough to be out of the noise of the traffic they have been very accommodating. There is a nice court yard with a gas fire pit and barbecuing facilities. The apartments are equipped with a nice kitchen. Every thing was absolutely pristine. The buildings are in beautiful shape and everything in working order. We are very happy with everything. It is centrally located in Carlsbad, and we have found lots of activities very close by. It's nice when extended driving doesn't consume most of your vacation days. We love it.

Paper thin walls, inefficient & uncaring management...When we arrived at Seaside Condos, a Beach Palms property in Carlsbad, with our kids, the couple next door were having very loud "relations" complete with multiple profanities. I live in Las Vegas, so this does not come as a shock, however, we realized that the walls are SO THIN that we felt like we were in the same room as them. The noise permeated the entire outside area also! We had to walk our kids straight out and scramble to find another place to stay. Even if we had turned the tv on loudly, it would not have muffled the sounds. We contacted the rude property manager who laughed at our concerns and told us that she contacted the guests. We knew we could not chance our kids hearing it again in the middle of the night (with nowhere to go) because it was that loud and foul, so we asked for a change of location or a refund. We were offered neither. The manager said, "I don't know what to do about this. I will get back to you." Then she never did. We called her again hours later, and she said, no refund, no change of location. I find it amazing that she had absolutely no concern for the welfare of our 2 children having to listen to this. We also asked to speak directly to the owner and the request was ignored. If you are someone who enjoys sleep or someone with kids, stay at your own risk. Also, when we pulled up, it looks like a dirty, seedy motel. There were bad smells emanating from the bathroom and dishwasher. I have stayed all over Carlsbad for years and I have never had a bad experience like this. There are plenty of Carlsbad hotels who will care about you and make sure you are comfortable and accommodated. I never write negative reviews, but I feel like I have to save the next person from having a similar experience. Awful property, no customer service.

We have stayed with Shawn and Lily 5 times now in both Beach Palms and Seaside condos. We love both although the Beach Palms can be a little noisy because of the hotel next door, but not enough of a bother to not stay. We have stayed at Seaside for the last 3 times and like that it is a block from the beach, has a pool, BBQ area and is very quiet and CLEAN! We just can't say enough good things about our stays and how accommodating and professional Shawn and Lily are as owners.
