Where to Eat and Drink in Virginia Beach | Eater DC

"Modeled after a big ocean liner, Virginia Beach’s 10,000-square-foot adult playground pairs beach-y mojitos and beers with floor shuffleboard, bocce, and board games in a bright and tropical setting. Starters swing from lumpia to cheese curds, and mains include handhelds and flatbreads." - Adele Chapin

We stopped by Beachside Social during the 4th of July weekend and had an absolutely amazing time! Even though we didn’t have a reservation, we were able to enjoy a few rounds of bocce ball while waiting for a lane to open up. The atmosphere was lively and fun, with a great beachy vibe that made us feel right at home. The food and drinks were fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and perfect for a summer day. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there, which made our experience even better. This place is a hidden gem for families and groups looking to relax, play, and enjoy great food and drinks. Highly recommend you stop in and enjoy a game.

We hosted my sister’s baby shower at Beachside Social and couldn’t have been happier with the experience! With 75 guests, two shuffleboard courts, bocce ball, and table games, there was something fun for everyone. The food package was perfect (and delicious), and they made it easy to cover drinks for our guests with one tab. The team was incredibly accommodating, quick to answer questions, flexible, and genuinely kind. My sister and her husband are longtime league players there, and it truly feels like family every time we walk in. This place is such a well-run, welcoming venue. I highly recommend for any celebration - big or small!

Had a great time. Food was great. Reserve the shuffle board game. So much fun.

Our family stopped in while visiting Virginia Beach last year and had an amazing time. The food was delicious and the variety of games to play was awesome. Such and fun vibe and atmosphere. And all the employees were pleasant and welcoming. We'll definitely be back whenever we're in town.

Google
SO fun! The place itself is so cute and the energy was good on a Saturday night. We were able to get a spot pretty quick but would’ve been happy to wait since there are places to sit and games to play. Shuffleboard is $35 per hour and we enjoyed an hour before playing other games they have available. I was surprised and excited with how tasty both the food and cocktails were. A great place for dinner, drinks, and entertainment all in one!

This place is great for events. We’ve hosted two here. Staff is on it, food and drinks are on point.

My husband and I rented two shuffleboard lanes at Beachside Social to spend time with our extended family the night before our wedding. Booking the lanes/catering online was a super easy process. We found the price to be very reasonable for two hours of shuffleboard and catered food for about 30 people. Everyone had an absolute blast and mentioned how they wanted to go back! I would highly recommend hosting any parties/events here.

Google
Food was ok. Flatbreads were pretty good. Loaded tots flavor was lacking. Sliders were kind of cold. Lot of fun to be had here. Multiple different kinds of games to play. Staff was very friendly and conversational. Service was quick every time. Definitely worth a visit but if you plan to eat, expect basic bar food.

Yelp
Big open area. 6 or so lanes. Pay by the hour. Lots of seating around the perimeter with small shuffle board table and other table games available. Sundays are half off. We loved the shuffle board. Not something we get to play back home. Lots of servers all around. We had a great time. Would highly recommend this.

Yelp
We had such a great time at Beachside Social! The happy hour food was decent--nothing mind-blowing, but solid and satisfying. What really made the experience memorable was the atmosphere and the amazing staff. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there, which made us enjoy it even more. Our family of four had a blast playing shuffleboard (which I haven't played since being a kid at my grandparents home who had it in their backyard!) and there were also a bunch of board games available that added to the fun, low-key vibe. It's the kind of place where you can relax, laugh, and connect without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. If you're looking for a spot to hang out with family or friends and just enjoy some good, casual fun, Beachside Social is definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
The aesthetic of this place is super cute and really close to the beach, so the location is perfect. They even have a little corner where you can take pictures in a wicker chair. They were shuffleboard and bocce that you could pay to play. We didn't play anything because we were in a rush, but we did order a couple of appetizers. The appetizers were good. We had coconut shrimp, wings, and brisket sliders. The sliders came with waffle fries, but we didn't really eat those. We did finish everything else. If you're looking for a place to relax and hang out, beachside social totally gives that vibe. Next time we'll definitely play games.

Yelp
Beachy Beautiful inside. I absolutely love the colorful umbrellas over the tables. Makes it feel like summertime. Even during the winter it has that summer vibe. It's wonderful. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Easy to sign up and on a busy Saturday we only waited 10 minutes before getting a court for Shuffleboard. Then if you have never played (like us) they give you a nice lesson and tell you to make a few practice shots. Now lets get to the food. We got sliders, wings, waffle fries, and a hummus tray. All of it came out fast and wonderful. The sliders were perfect in every way and the perfect size. Wings had alot of flavor, they are finger licking good. Ok, you know I got a cocktail. Bahama Mama was excellent and a really good size, I highly recommend all the food and definitely order a drink. YUMMMM. Everything was wonderful. Happy staff, great location, tasty food and wonderful drinks. I can't wait to go back. I was the big winner By The Way. This is a must if your in the Virginia Beach area. Or make a special trip because it is worth it. It is such a GREAT time.

Yelp
Beachside social has a fun retro vibe. They have an insta-worthy giant Virginia Beach sign as you're coming up the stairs and once you get upstairs it's one wide open floor plan with the bar, the shuffleboard courts and bocce ball in the back food off to the side and there's also tables where you could do board games Being on the upper level and right across from the boardwalk you have fun views and it's a fun way to change things up from the typical bar scene and try something new.

Yelp
This is the perfect place to spend a rainy afternoon at the beach. It's got a boating and beachy theme, but cute with neon signs and paper lanterns. The main area is wide open and airy, and there's fun activities all around - a photo booth area in one corner, bocce ball in the back, shuffleboard lanes with dining tables at the end of each. There's more seating (counters, lounge seats, dining tables) along the perimeter of the room where groups can play board games, Jenga, Connect 4, and foosball. I enjoyed my drink, a spicy margarita, and they had a nice watermelon juice for my son. We ordered a hummus platter and wings, both of which were good (and the mango habanero wing sauce had just enough heat). Even though the space is huge, and there were a lot of people there, servers are constantly coming around and were helpful.

Yelp
Beachside is a cool spot. Food and drinks were very good. Their happy hour is pretty decent and their service is great! The space itself is a little weird. The lighting is super dim and I started to barely be able to see my friends by 8pm, lol. I probably wouldn't return unless I had a burning desire to play shuffle board or bocce.....but a fun spot to try, nonetheless!

Yelp
Really cool place for an adult party! Has a similar vibe as top golf but it's something different. Drinks were really good, food was decent.

Yelp
Everything about Beachside Social is just amazing! The food, the drinks, the fun! They always have a photo"booth" set up with props and whatnot to capture a memorable photo from your experience! The service was impeccable! A group of us went for a joint birthday celebration and for majority of the group it was their first time and they all agreed they very much enjoyed themselves and said they would like to come back again! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Learned how to play shuffleboard, drinks were decent, food was sneaky good but also gave arcade good. The cheese curds were delicious.

Yelp
Fun place. We come often but they were a bit rude this time. We were finishing up our lunch and our hour had expired. They rushed us out of our seat. There is no one else here waiting for the courts. This place is honestly dead. Seems they may have chased off other loyal customers with their rudeness. The waiter/waitress is still rushing us smh ‍

Yelp
So fun and so cute! Such a great ambiance and great views looking over the beach. Great food menu for small bites and great service at the bar. Loved being able to pull out games to play. Super fun experience overall, went here for a small and fun date night.
google avatar

Yelp
Hidden gem! Look for the pink neon sign. Great open space, well lit with tons of windows. Not an ocean front space but you can see some of the beach/ocean through the next row of buildings. You can either play shuffle board on one of the many giant floor boards, or sit at the bar or side table and play a board or card game of your choice. The food selection was generally American fare bar food with some unique twists. There was no shortage of bar/wait staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly and attentive. 100% would return!

Yelp
Dope hang out spot at the oceanfront. We had the shuffleboard lane for about 2 hours. It was my first time playing, but I had fun. This place has plentiful of seating, and tables. Lots of random games to play like jenga & connect four. There is even a cool photo spot area with a bright ring light to take group photos. The staff was super friendly. Bar style food but it was pretty good, and really decent price! I do recommend paying with cash. My friends who paid with card, did see double charges. Also gratuity was added to the shuffle board game, which I do not think should have been added. Otherwise, its a cool spot, with good vibes at the oceanfront. I would come back again.

Yelp
This is a really great spot!! They have a great view from the windows of the Main Street. They have plenty of seating areas , a cute bar, small little sections to sit at with board games available to play. They have a large connect 4 and jinga to play as well. They also have a selfie station area. Great place to take group photos. Beachside of course has shuffleboard which is a lot of fun with a group. They also offer leagues in the fall and winter. They have a nice bar with a signature cocktail or two. They do also have some appetizers you can order as well. The staff is really friendly and very knowledgeable about the business I asked about specials they have. I'm really looking forward to going back soon!! I think this is a great first date spot, great for groups, birthday parties. They do play music and it's not so loud that you can't talk. Please be sure to go and share your thoughts on your experience!!

Yelp
Beachside Social is the ultimate hangout spot in the Oceanfront area! The vibe is very diner-like yet modern! It was very clean and tidy when we came in. There are so many things to do there like shuffle board, bocce ball, big connect 4, big jenga! On top of that they have a great selection of food and drinks to order. The cheeseburger and brisket sliders come in 3s and they were delicious! The loaded waffle fries were good as well. Very typical diner food but the quality was great! Our server was quite nice. She didn't explain the menu too well and we thought that each of our sliders came with a side of fries or tots but that wasn't the case so we ended up ordering fries on top of the sliders and it made our bill a little more than expected but that's ok. The shuffleboard is $30 per hour and if you're playing with other people, you have the option to split it after the hour is up. There are about 6 courts total! All the other activities like bocce ball, jenga and connect 4 are free. We came when it first opened up on a Sunday so it wasn't busy at all when we came. You can also sit wherever you want so it's like first come first served. I could imagine it being pretty busy on a Friday-Saturday though. I loved that it is completely indoor and nice and cool inside; especially in the summer! One thing I'd mention is that they have their own parking which is super handy (I had no idea and parked a couple streets down and walked)! Definitely a cool date night or group hang out spot! I'll definitely be coming back :)

Yelp
Great place for a girls night out! Felt like we were on a cruise ship! Awesome staff to edu-ma-kate your on the rules of "shuffling." Lol Full bar area available. Food available. Selfie station. Great atmosphere. Oh and they have bocce ball as well. I mean....what's not to like? Great for a large party. Work get to together: perfect for team buildings. Street parking available as well.

Yelp
It was like taking a step back in time with everyone working there in Hawaii shirts, the prettiest mock tails and cocktails, great snack food (I personally loved the cheese curds), not to mention all the Instagram worthy spots! Next time you're in the area be sure to check them out!

Yelp
We had a great time! Food was delicious! Atmosphere was perfect for our family and we loved the games. Great service. Keep it up!

Yelp
This is such a cool place! We were visiting my sister and she brought us here. We loved playing games and the drinks and food are

Yelp
The weather was terrible outside and this little spot was our saving grace! The games were fun and the food was good. We'll definitely be back next time we're in VA Beach!

Yelp
Beachside Social is hands down my favorite activity at the beach.... well besides just being at the beach. It's great for rainy days, but still stunning on sunny days. It's great for a date night and even better if you're looking for a place for a larger group of friends to gather. They have a little something for everyone. It's kid friendly, but because of the size of the cues make it difficult for the little ones. I say leave em' with a sitter and make this adult playtime if you can. I've spent hours here between hanging out with friends and participating on their league nights, but I'm still awful. It's all good though. You don't need to be a shuffle-pro to have a great time here. They also have bocci ball and board games! If you aren't feeling playful sip on a few of their beachside mojitos to get you in the mood. Their cocktails are hands down my favorite in VB. The price is right and they are delicious. Their food isn't anything to rave about, but it's great to munch on. I haven't been since COVID hit, but reviews from friends say they have been really comfortable with how they are handling social distancing. One thing I also love about this business is how active the owners are in the community. When the pandemic first hit they created a gift box that featured local products to raise money keeping the makers in business.

Heather B.

Yelp
On the night we came it was super busy, but have no fear, they had a full bar and board games to rent out while you wait. Woo! We played an adult version of Taboo that was hilariously fun. Once our lane for Shuffleboard became available, there was laminated directions at each table for a quick reference/easy refresher before you begin play. And don't forget to add a fun team name on their chalkboards to keep score. Honestly, shuffleboard is fun for all ages and skill levels which makes it a great family or group activity. They also had a food menu, and we ordered their cheese curds and pretzel pieces. Yum and Yum. Give this place a try and good luck on the court.

Yelp
What a fun place! It has shuffleboard and other games. I got a great Bloody Mary and my husband found a beer to his liking. Our server was delightful and helpful. We got the Mediterranean platter, the shrimp, pesto and tomato flatbread and the tuna bites. The tuna bites were over cooked to my taste, I prefer mine raw-rare, but my husband loved them. The flatbread was scrumptious and the Mediterranean platter gave us the veggies we were looking for. Very noisy due to league shuffleboard players, music playing and acoustics, but it was a fun surprise!

Steph W.

Yelp
tried to go here three nights in a row, they closed hours early every night. Even Friday night. Streets are packed for labor day. People crowding outside trying to figure out why they are not open, multiple nights. You call and personnel say closed early. makes zero sense. We Had a group of over ten people. Terrible.

Yelp
Location near beach, good location- it's not far from our hotel- stayed for the weekend . We stayed at the ocean front in. Bartender gave amazing recommendations for drinks and helped us with any questions we had. Since it was our first time there we had to get swag! Got a t shirt ! There were no waits for courts & the staff will show you how to play games if needed. Very fun spot!

Yelp
Drinks, Eating, Games, Fun Times, and Fun Competition !!! This was a very well hidden secret that is being discovered more and more, but it's a good thing that its out now !!! Going to Beachside Social takes me back to them days of watching the "Love Boat," in my younger days !!! With a similar cruise boat and beach cabana atmosphere, you can do nothing more but eat, drink, play games, and have lots of fun!!! Oh and do it again and again in different orders !!! You are guaranteed a great time and some good competitive competition !!! The staff is great, enthusiastic to answer your questions, and ready to assist you. Also it's impressive to see the owners working with their employees, by leading the way and setting the example. Keep up the great work Lidia and Ash (owners). That's a great atmosphere to work in. I've had great bartenders like Cody, Katy, and Andre whom make some good mixed drinks !!! Happy Hour is from 5-7 on Tuesday- Friday. You can enjoy $3.00 Pacifico beer and $5.00 Beachside Mojitos during happy hour just to name a few. Not only is there six Shuffleboard lanes available, but also big size games like Connect Four, Jenga, and lots of other regular size board games that are available at one end of the bar for you to sign them out with a valid ID. The pice of the Shuffleboard game is $30.00 an hour and the board games usage is free. There is plenty of free parking behind the building for your convenience, metered parking besides the building or the garage close by is also available.

Yelp
How fun!!! Virginia Beach needed a place like this!! I came for a surprise birthday party and it was my first time here. Once you walk thru the doors downstairs you are greeted by music that gets you hype to be there. I walk upstairs where you can find the shuffle boards, bars and seating areas. What a great place to hang out! There was a DJ the nite we went (not sure if there is one all the time) and there was other birthdays going on the same nite too. Lots of people playing, drinking and hanging out. My friends played on the shuffle boards and it looked fun! There was also a spot in the corner for great pictures and selfies. On the stairwell you can find a huge postcard like mural that says greetings from Virginia Beach very cute and IG-worthy. Lol I could see this place being packed during the Spring/Sunmer nights. Great addition to 756!!

Yelp
Went here for a private event. Unfortunately it was underwhelming for the amount of money spent. Food was good, but every time you went to get food, they were always out and not replenishing quick enough. We had wings, shrimp, salad, hummus, flatbreads & sliders. Drinks were served in mini mason jars, just ok. It did house 100+ people well! They had games throughout the place (connect 4, jenga). Had bocce & of course shuffle board. Some fun picnic table seating. I think the prices are kind of high for what it is.

Marla F.

Yelp
Love taking friends to this unique spot! You can view the ocean and play outdoor shuffleboard inside the AC!
google avatar

Sophie S.

Yelp
The atmosphere was laid back and nice. Our waitress was super nice, she checked on us often. Not an overwhelming crowd of people either. They have a nice selection of board games as well. The food was pretty good. Only complaint about the food was I thought when I ordered the cheese for my fries, I thought it was going to be spread on top not in a little container. But, the fries tasted very good, nice and crispy & not overwhelming with seasoning. Board games are free to play just have to ask the bartender up front for them which are displayed on the wall. They also have jenga and connect 4 spread throughout. The shuffleboard you do have to pay for, which is $30 an hour. Everything gets added on to your bill, so you don't have to pay as you go. Plus, they were very easy going and friendly when telling us it would be no issue to separate the bill between the group especially for the shuffleboard. It was pretty fun & cool to do for our first time. I would come back to this place. It was a nice change of pace from the typical bar scene. Having super friendly staff was nice too.
google avatar

Yelp
What a great way to do something different! Great atmosphere and so much fun! Only knocked a star- the food. It could be better. I had the pesto wrap and a friend had the buffalo chicken wrap. Both were bland- dry- needs more sauce? Something. Overall! Great!
google avatar

Angela D.

Yelp
This place is an interesting concept: let's play some shuffle board and drink! They also have board games, giant connect four, and a giant JENGA. Basically you pay $30 an hour for up to 4 players. Rules are simple and the game is surprisingly challenging and great fun while you try to get the highest score. You have a dedicated person taking food and drink orders for you; drinks are pretty good but we didn't try the food. The vibe here is similar to a cruise ship in my opinion with people of all ages (but skewed to the older crowd). It was pretty quiet on a Friday night but it wasn't "in-season" yet so it may pick up a bit in the summer. If they have live music or different events, then this place could really be fun. Bathrooms are clean and the entire place just seems very clean. I'm not sure if I'll be back here, but it's one of those things that is fun to try at least once.
google avatar

Regina G.

Yelp
Cute place for a fun night and drinks! Definitely a place to go with a lot of friends! I was by myself and sat at the bar and the bartenders were really sweet! I stopped by at noon when they first opened but no one was there so I came back later that night. I heard its where a lot of tourists go, but regardless, its a fun place and great atmosphere and I personally like doing touristy things.

Yelp
What a beautiful establishment with friendly staff! I absolutely LOVE the novel idea of a place for good old fashion clean fun! Shuffleboard is an old past time but Beachside Social breathes life into it! It's such a wonderful addition to the oceanfront where you can spend time with friends and family! It's a great place to hang out and "be social!" They have six shuffleboard courts that you rent by the hour and you can have 2-4 players. Once it's your time to play there Is seating at a table directly at one end of your court under some beach cabana umbrellas ." There's a sign as you enter immediately indicating where to sign up for a shuffleboard court. If there is a wait they tell you how long it will be and hand you a pager. There are 8 frames to a Game. The catch here is you either have two or four people. Three people doesn't really work due to 2 players are singles and four players are doubles. Unless I'm not thinking outside the box. Typically when doubles are played your teammate is on the opposite side, directly across from you. If you play singles then you play side by side. Although there are only six shuffleboard courts there is PLENTY of seating! From seats at the bar, bar seating along the windows that give you partial views of the ocean and you can play connect four, to seating on the other side that have park bench seating at tables facing the shuffleboard courts so you can watch and seating at regular tables to play board games. They really did an awesome job with use of space! When you walk in, right away you feel like you've time traveled to a 1950's beach boardwalk. It has a really fun, clean atmosphere where you can laugh, drink, eat and play different board games while you wait to play shuffleboard or just hang out and socialize. They even have bocce located at the back wall. Their "Mint to be" drink was deliciously refreshing and their chorizo and shrimp flatbread is a pretty solid choice. I had actually never played shuffleboard before and didn't think it would be fun. HOWEVER! I can definitely say this place made me a believer that shuffleboard is really, truly some good fun! This is a great place to go if you're looking for something different to do! Great during good weather because you have nice views and even better during bad weather because you stay dry! They have separate male and female bathrooms along with a separate family bathroom. Such a great soft opening! Thanks for the experience!

Yelp
Shuffleboard isn't for the old anymore...This place changes that with its high end hipster vibe. They also have a bocce ball court as well. I had their tuna bites and they're really good. The service was very fast and friendly although there weren't that many people there so take that into account. They might want to try seasonal and non-seasonal pricing in order to encourage locals to keep it busy when the tourism season drops off. Although, I went there to break away from the beach...But I would guess they are a good rainy day event idea.

Yelp
What a super fun place! Nothing like going to a bar and being able to play shuffleboard, a range of board games and eat and drink some decent bar food! I went for a "day after the wedding" party so the place was closed to us as a private party so if you are looking for something unique, this is a great idea. You enter on the main level and either walk up the stairs or there is an elevator if you'd rather. The place is huge with shuffleboard courts in the center and little seating areas along the windows. I was told that the regular price for shuffleboard is $30 for a group of 4 for an hour to play. Really reasonable! There are also all the fun table games like Jenga, Connect 4, card games etc. Grab a drink at the bar, a game and lean in for a fun night. Turns out I am actually good at shuffleboard . . .something that will serve me well when I am a senior citizen I'm sure! The entire place is causal with a bit of a beach theme (of course given it's right across the street from the beach). The only challenge I had was finding parking that was close by as the parking for the place was full so I ended up parking a few blocks away (it may have been because there was a volleyball tourney going on at the same time) All in all a fun place to hang with friends for a night out or for a special occasion party. Check it out!

Yelp
Fun place with lots of games and good drinks, and very close to the water. Wish there were more food choices, but can't complain too much because it's not intended to be a restaurant. The drinks and the games are on point!

Yelp
5 stars goes to Beachside social! We were one of the lucky few who got to come here as it was re-opening during COVID times. The server was fantastic and we explained everything so clearly as this was our first time playing shuffleboard. I loved how clean and open the layout was. I loved the cocktails! And wish we had got to try their food. The game was so fun and added a different level of entertaining to the VA beach scene.

Yelp
The drinks are a hit or miss. I ordered the same drink twice and it was completely different, but tasted great the first time. Went on a Saturday night at it was pretty empty all night.

Yelp
What a cool place! Love the decor and concept. Our server was Chris, I believe, and he was great! Great sense of humor, super patient, and friendly. I came with a bunch of girlfriends to celebrate a birthday and fortunately for us, it was not busy at all. We brought a small bday cake and Chris was kind enough to bring us out a knife, a lighter for the candles, and small plates. It was also the first time for all of us to Shuffleboard and it wasn't hard at all to play after he held a crash course on the rules and instructions. Biscuits and Tang is all I remember. The food isn't their best suit in my opinion but hey, you're here for the fun and drinks, aight? Not sure what the regular price is before 9 pm but we arrived after and it was only $9/hr. Don't forget to take your selfies with the provided props before leaving! We had fun with that to end the experience. The parking sitch is that it's free and located behind the building. You'll have to walk around and then decide to take the flight of stairs or convenient elevator to go up. Loved the touches from the neon lights to the Greetings From Virginia Beach mural inside. Def a place to bring your friends and family for some good wholesome fun any time of the year.

Yelp
The staff is as energetic as the vibe! Beachy theme but indoor environment for shade from the sun or space indoors from the cold. On a Friday evening, the shuffleboards were available. I'm shook people would think $30 an hour for a court, where 4 players is ideal. This is easily $80 for the same experience in Brooklyn, NY. The space and bathroom are clean. I used the space specifically for a boardgame night and drinks, surprisingly getting drunk on complete accident. Our bartender was awesome and kept the drinks coming all night~ (: The cocktail menu is creative and fun while the food menu included standard bar fare. This place is a great spot for a double date night or an interesting time out. A huge bonus is a photo area with excellent lighting for your IG needs. The staff was super cool for getting behind the camera for my group! (: I will keep returning for the chill vibe and hopefully to convince some friends to play shuffleboard instead of just boardgames.

Yelp
Shuffleboard is not just for old people! I brought a group of friends here for my birthday and it was SO MUCH fun!!! The rules are easy to follow and we immediately stetted playing. I've heard good things about the drinks here, and I was especially excited to try their Margarita. I am pretty particular when it comes to how my margaritas are made, and this one definitely did not disappoint. It was absolutely delicious had a great balance of flavor and alcohol. I would come back just to have another margarita! One of my girlfriends got the beachside Mojito, and that was also delicious. Final thoughts, I definitely recommend and can't wait to go back again!

Yelp
Looking for a late night bite and fun? Here's your place. Staying near 23rd Street, we walked over after finding they had late hours. It was so cool to find this place with its neon signage. We walked the stairs up (there is an elevator) and were greeted by the bartender. She directed us to concessions where we went to place our order but there was only the cook. He couldn't figure out the register so he asked us to have a seat and he'd find the server. After she found us, we placed an order and played the jumbo Connect 4. Beware: falling pieces are loud as with Jenga too. All fun though! Food came out in 10min and all was hot except the flatbread pizza. It was slightly warm. Cheese curds were good. Again, fun spot for date or family night with late hours.

Yelp
Well had to wait 25 mons for cheese curds which they should take of the menu. The staff is ok meet better. Waste of 8 bucks. The shuffle board and the rest of the games look fun if you have a a few drunk friends. They most definitely need to get another supplier for these cheese curds..the fresh herbs will always set a drink off..

Yelp
This place was super fun. I visited with three friends over Labor Day weekend. Surprisingly, they were not busy on Sunday afternoon; I thought they might be overrun with people trying to get out of the heat. The bartender was super helpful when it came to making our drink selections. I chose the honey habanero mule, which was awesome. Light and refreshing and served in an open-mouthed can with a straw. They had a fun selection of board games and we were able to relax and play What Do You Meme? while we enjoyed our drinks and apps. The service was very good, and the prices are significantly lower than the restaurants one block over (directly on the boardwalk). My friend left a shopping bag here with a souvenir she had purchased; we returned about 20 minutes after leaving to try to retrieve it. The bartender immediately recognized us and made sure the bag was returned to my friend. No complaints. Would definitely stop in here for a cocktail the next time we're visiting Virginia Beach.

Yelp
Very unique bar! We went during the Shamrock Marathon and the sign outside said to check the website for the hours - which said 12-5pm. We tried opening the door at 12:15pm and it was locked so we ended up next door at Cactus Jacks for a drink while I checked social media to see why it wasn't open. Turns out they weren't open until 2 because of the road closures which we thought was a little weird since there were a ton of pedestrians around looking for a place to go. Nevertheless when we did finally go at 2 we were definitely glad we went back to give it a chance. The drinks and service were very good and if we were into shuffleboard it would've been an even better experience. They do have board games too and we watched a little sailing competition that was on the TV. Food was decent - we had the Mediterranean plate and pretzel bites. Drinks and atmosphere are definitely where it's at with this place!
