Wow, I am really surprised this place has such high reviews considering my experience, but maybe it was just when I was there. Seemed like a decent dive...
My friends and I ended up here displaced from a better bar down the street to watch the Bears/Packers game. I was shocked that the place was mostly empty considering the game, but then I found out why.
There's no food, crappy TV's which weren't loud enough, and the bar tender was a total Biochwood if you know what I mean. When we walked in she immediately started hounding all of us for ID's and didn't have a very pleasant tone about it. She didn't even bother to say 'hello' or anything. Just "I NEED TO SEE YOUR ID'S!" We hadn't even ordered yet. Take it easy sister!
I didn't giver her my ID right away as I was chatting with friends so she hounded me again. So I took it out and tossed it onto the bar for her. She read it, gave me a really rude snarl then tossed my ID back at me across the bar. Classy.
My last and final interaction with her was when she yelled at me about moving a bar stool over by my friend's table to sit by them. She said "Uh, you can't move the bar stools away from the bar." So many rules! I have never heard of a place that wouldn't let you move furniture for customer's comfort. Plus the place was empty! What difference would it make. I decided I was done with her and had my friends grab my drinks for me, and I will not be back to this place.
I dedicate this review to the bar tender that worked the eve of 9/13/12.
