The 29 Best Restaurants In The Hamptons 2024

"With restaurants coming and going quicker than a Jitney round-trip, there aren’t many spots in the Hamptons that can say they’ve been around for over 20 years. But The Beacon has been a Sag staple since 1999, thanks to its consistently good food and great views of the Sag Harbor Bay. Come for $75 two-course sunset dinners or hop over to their sister restaurant, Bell & Anchor, for year-round waterfront fine dining." - melissa kravitz hoeffner, team infatuation

Google
This was our very first time dining at the Beacon, we are huge fans of Bell and Anchor and go once or twice a week during the summer. The Beacon was also fantastic. The food was absolutely wonderful. Our waitress was fantastic as well. The only negative thing that I can even say is that it was extremely loud. We wound up chatting with a couple seated next to us and had a lovely conversation, but it was very difficult to hear them as it was a very loud dining experience, other than that, everything was Wonderful and we definitely will be returning!

Fantastic Hampton’s spot. Great food. Amazing sunset views.

Malina Welman

Google
What a special place. The food, atmosphere and service were fantastic. A must-stop location if you head out East, especially for sunset. Special shout out to John who made the experience particularly memorable with his kindness and hospitality! Thank you!

Google
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beacon is a Sag Harbor favorite for a reason—elevated dining, exceptional service, and one of the most stunning sunset views on the East End. The menu is always fresh and thoughtfully prepared, with a laid-back elegance that perfectly captures the Hamptons spirit. As a local real estate professional, I often recommend Beacon to clients looking for a memorable waterfront dining experience. It’s the kind of place where deals are toasted, milestones are celebrated, and summer evenings feel endless. A true gem that blends coastal sophistication with warm hospitality. — Cassandra Leggio, Licensed Real Estate Salesperson Curating Legacy, Refining Worlds

Google
Sister restaurant to Bell and Anchor, same menu, better view and atmosphere! Try the Bouillabaisse and the lobster pasta!

Google
One of the most delightful dinner experiences. This is James Beard quality dinning and service. Oh yes...did I mention the view? The most unique dish was a special appetizer called tuna taco. A hard tortilla with a layer of guacamole then a layer of a chipotle aiole then shredded lettuce topped with three very rare rectangles of tuna with four spheres of a very spicy sauce on the side If I lived in Sag Harbor, this would be a regular.

Google
I would love to drop 5-stars all the way down but the way we were ushered out of our table was incredibly rude. Our server was fabulous, the food was incredibly delicious but the hostess who dropped our check without notice — really put a damper on the entire evening. We had no prior warning of a time limit, no conversation with our waiter or anyone — just incredibly cold. Spending as much as you do here this was incredibly disheartening to deal with and in really poor taste. Shout out to the chef, major props to our server and for those two would absolutely dine again.

David and the whole team are the best! Great food, service and environment.

Yelp
A room with a view, sensational food and superb service? I'll take it! Called for a rez (recommended) and snagged a table on the same day for early dinner. Our server (sorry forgot his name) was genuinely friendly - a rarity in the Hamptons these days - and made great food recommendations. The restaurant is one flight up with indoor and outdoor seating, even our inside table offered fantastic water views. Shared an order of burrata (a special of the day) to start, thoroughly enjoyed the creamy globe of cheese resting on tricolor sauce with toast points. My bouillabaisse, comprised of a large lobster tail, clams, mussels, and white fish, was well spiced with a saffron-based broth and served up with butter-slathered toast to mop it all up. Yummy! Partner's lobster rigatoni was made with plenty of fresh lobster meat and a well flavored creamy sauce. He said it was filling and delicious. Excellent experience overall, would definitely return when in the area.

Yelp
A gem off the main drag in Sag Harbor. The menu includes 2 courses for $75 with tons of options. Our table ordered almost everything on the menu. The favorite were the lobster rigatoni, the pork chop, the bouillabaisse and the salmon tartare. The crispy portobello mushroom and mozzarella was also good but a bit too filling as an app so make sure to leave room for your main course. Amazing views and a friendly and accommodating staff. Make a reservation especially if you want to sit outside and catch the sunset.

Yelp
Good food nice service beautiful view of Sag Harbor. Chef knows what he's doing. Would recommend for anyone who wants a nice elegant sit down meal

Yelp
The Beacon exceeded our expectations. We scored a lovely table outdoors and watched a beautiful sunset. Our waitress and waitstaff were lovely. We started off with a nice bottle of Vermentino. There are some moderately priced bottles on the wine list. My wife started off with the salad, which she really liked. I had excellent shrimp tacos. Three of us had the halibut en papillote, which was cooked perfectly. My wife had the rigatoni with lobster. Her end of the table was silent while she concentrated on her entree. We were too full for dessert and lingered over a cup of coffee. If you need further validation of this excellent restaurant, we saw a celebrity chef dining indoors. According to our waitress, he's a regular.

Yelp
The beacon is a major sag harbor staple and I couldn't reccomend it enough. The food is fantastic and it's a wonderful spot to catch the sunset. I had the lobster rigatoni and chopped salad with frizzled shrimp tonight, which were both delicious. I do reccomend requesting to sit on the deck since the back room doesn't have those waterfront views. The service can sometimes be hit or miss and the cocktails aren't quite on par with the food, but I highly reccomend this establishment nonetheless.

Jael B.

Yelp
The best restaurant in the Hamptons. Friendly servers and amazing food. Always very consistent and good size portions.

Yelp
Have been visiting for 20 years Probably best overall restaurant in the Hampton The food the atmosphere The owner David and daughter Lucy Very accommodating Thanks for another great evening

Yelp
This place is great. It's been a staple for years. They recently started taking reservations due to Covid and it's a great time to secure a table. They have a prix fix 2 courses for $85. All of the food was delicious and staff were great. Get the burrata and tuna tartar to start. All of the entrees look good but damn the bouillabaisse it was so flavorful. Last but not least you can't beat the view. Thank you, David and staff.

Yelp
Best restaurant in the Hamptons. Food is amazing, and all staff from owner to busboys are so nice and efficient. Such a well run restaurant. Can't wait to go back
google avatar

Greg K.

Yelp
From the moment I made our reservation with Lucy, everything was spectacular. We had booked an outside table, and because of the air quality concerns with the Canadian wildfires I had called back to see about an inside table. Lucy was very sweet and told us if anything opened up inside she would move us in. Luckily the air quality was perfect when we dined there, and we enjoyed a beautiful evening outside overlooking the water. Our waiter, I believe his name was David, was fabulous and attentive. We ordered the tuna tortilla special as an appetizer and it was outstanding. For a main course, I got the chicken, which was incredibly moist. It was also a nice-sized portion. One of our guests ordered the halibut and raved about the flavor. For dessert, do not miss the amazing ice cream sandwich. The entire staff there was so nice and welcoming. I cannot wait to go back.

Yelp
I came here last week for my friends birthday. The entire day her parents were raving about this restaurant so I was really looking forward to it and it did not disappoint. We each got an appetizer, I went with the appetizer special that day which was burrata, tomatoes, apples and grilled bread. I could have done without the apples, they didn't really bring anything to the dish but everything else was amazing. Shockingly, I found the grilled bread to probably be the best slice of bread I've ever had. It was delicious. For my entree, I decided to try the bouillibaise. I read the reviews on here and they weren't great but I wanted to be adventurous. Well, I'm glad I did because it was absolutely delicious. I ate the entire thing, which I almost never do. The dulce de lech gelato was also delicious for dessert but it was the bouillibaise that won me over
google avatar

Ira S.

Yelp
As I understand it, this place 'claim to fame' is the view of the sunset. My recommendation is watch the sunset from the docks and then go someplace else to eat. I had the cod which came on mashed potatoes and surrounded by three mussels. The dish came out room temperatures down the mussels were cold. When I sent it back it then came out warm but the fish ended up tough and as for the mussels, I didn't even try to eat them because they were gooey and really disgusting looking. My wife had the burger and she said it was ok. Would definitely NOT recommend!

Yelp
Location and service are far better than the food. We showed up 10min before opening and waited on a line that was growing pretty rapidly. They opened at 5:30 on-the-dot and we were seated immediately at a prime spot on the balcony overlooking the marina. It was beautiful. Unfortunately, EV E R Y T H I N G lacked flavor. Everything. Personally, if I have to think about adding salt or ketchup to a dish, it's extremely subpar. I think condiments can be great accompaniments to compliment a dish, but when I'm adding them in search of flavor, it's a problem. The complimentary ciabatta bread was soft, fresh and enjoyable. We ordered the mussels appetizer, in a white cream sauce with onion and tomato. The sauce was creamy but rather thin and watery with absolutely no flavor whatsoever, we added (a significant amount of) salt and it helped, but they were still very bland. Our entrees were of generous portions, presented well and appeared very appetizing but the accompanying fries were boring, skinny, overly greasy and mostly, itsy, bottom-of-the-fry-basket, pieces (hidden under a few longer ones) I had a sirloin burger (medium rare) and though cooked to a perfect temperature, it was unbelievably bland and so disappointing. It was more than obvious that there was ZERO seasoning in the chop meat. My husband had the strip steak, and again, it's presentation was beautiful but lacked flavor overall. We both had to add salt to our entrees as well as the appetizer and we are not those people that regularly add salt to their food unless it's in the preparation/cooking process. Priced appropriately for the location and quality of food, but sadly, the flavor just didn't deliver and left much to be desired. The atmosphere was unbeatable and service was quick, friendly, and professional, thus making it a pleasant experience overall, earning it some well-deserved stars. Probably wouldn't return though.

Yelp
Best food, drinks, hostess (Lucy), sunset views! Never disappoints! Best spot in the Hamptons!

Yelp
We went to the Beacon for my birthday dinner, and it did not disappoint. They don't take reservations, walk-in only. We arrived around 7pm on a Saturday night, and waited about 30 minutes at the bar for an outdoor/view table. Tables inside had no wait, but it rained all day, so the story may be different on sunny Saturdays. The crowd picked up later in the evening. The view was really beautiful, and we loved looking out into the harbor at the boats and were lucky enough to get a few minutes of neon pink sunset dipping into the indigo horizon. The food was delicious too. We shared the mussels, and loved dipping the fresh bread into the savory broth. I went with the lobster rigatoni, which had a decadent cheddar/cream sauce and summery corn. I looooved this dish. The lobster was cooked perfectly, the rigatoni was al dente, and it felt perfect for summer.

Yelp
Exceptional quality food paired with tasty cocktails. We've come for sunset celebrations many times and it's an experience that is tough to beat in Sag Harbor. I recommend the seared tuna entrée, the pork Milanese and the portobello mushroom appetiser. Everything is good, you can't go wrong.

Sara A.

Yelp
Six of us had dinner last night at the Beacon. It was delicious, everyone was delighted with their meal. Tuna Nachos- the special was tasty, I ate it too fast and forgot to get a picture... Covid regulations are all being followed and they have removed loads of tables, providing everyone with lots of extra space. We had a little rain, but the outside is adequately covered, nobody got wet and the view is always a winner, no matter the weather!

Yelp
Came here for the sunset dinner, it is so worth it! The views, the food and the very welcoming service. Need I say more. We will definitely be back! Put this on your list when you're in Sag Harbor.

B T.

Yelp
Great spot with wonderful harbor views. Excellent drinks and a fun, though crowded, bar. Their spicy margarita is one of my favorites! Of course the focus is seafood, but they have a pretty good vegan lasagna. I'm very happy they have now added online reservations, as you used to have to line up at the door at opening to get a table. Definitely a don't miss in Sag Harbor

Caroline D.

Yelp
This has long been my favorite restaurant on the East End and once again it didn't fail to meet expectations. I'm thrilled that they accept reservations now because often what kept me from going were the long anticipated waits. The food is above and beyond excellent. I started with the crispy portobello mushroom which is delicious. My friends both ordered mussels, which they loved. Then I had the special snapper, my friend had the tuna crostata special and my other friend a pork chop. We also couldn't resist getting lobster Mac and cheese for the table. Everything was incredible. Service was exceptional. Love this place.

Christos P.

Yelp
A constant staple in the Hamptons. the food and view are top notch! I hesitated at first with the pre fix of $85 per person this summer, but they take their covid rules seriously and you feel like you are having a romantic dinner alone because we were so spread apart. Worth every penny! Our staple dish s the truffle salad pork chop which is heavenly and their for appetizers try the shrimp tacos or the special tuna nachos, both were divine!
google avatar

Yelp
Great harborfront restaurant with yummy seafood dishes and good service. It was a 45 minute wait on a Friday night but we hung out at the bar drinking rose and noshing on crispy thin fries. Atmosphere was casual and vibrant with friendly service both at the bar and table. Mussels - plump mussels in a fragrant broth that you definitely wanted to dip crusty bread into Sea bass with tobiko sauce and jasmine rice - the special of the night. The tobiko sauce was incredibly flavorful, rich but not overpowering and paired perfectly with the fish and fragrant, almost creamy jasmine rice Shellfish boullibaise - a heaping bowl of mussels, clams, lobster in a delicious broth Blackened tilefish - well prepared solid fish dish

Daphne A.

Yelp
I've only been here once and it was a while ago. I can't remember what I ordered but for what it's worth it's breezy
google avatar

Eunice G.

Yelp
Really nice service , I tried the sesame crusted seared tuna probably the best I've ever had around the area. Drinks are not great probably the worst margarita I've ever had, wrong cup, I'm sorry when you guys are trying to sell high end drinks please play the part.

Yelp
It's no secret that Sag Harbor has become the "it" town in the Hamptons. Real estate prices have soared. The summer sidewalks are almost impassible, while the streets, mostly unparkable. With all its recent fame, Sag Harbor's beguiling charm and modesty have unfortunately taken a decidedly turn for the worse. Nowhere is this more evident than in several of the eateries that now populate Main Street and its offshoots. For starters, New York City's Le Bilboquet, fueled by Ron Perelman's deep pockets, spawned a clone on Sag Harbor's pier. Not only was it impossible to get a reservation -- especially since its phone was unlisted and no online reservation was available -- but walk-ins were unceremoniously shunned at the door. The several people I knew who did manage a meal there, found the overpriced food to be a big meh. Another newcomer to the village this summer was Lulu. Always packed, the food too was just okay, but the real take-away were the extraordinary long waits diners had to endure for service. Finally, and there's no excuse for this: The Beacon, which first open its doors in 2000. This second floor restaurant just outside of town boasts a narrow row of outdoor seating facing west overlooking the harbor. Perfect for sunsets, right? One problem: no reservations are accepted: it's first-come, first-served. The eatery opens for dinner at 6pm, and people start lining up at 5:30pm. Our party of six arrived at around 6pm on a (post-season) September Saturday evening. The two maitre'd's didn't look up when we approached their station. After a brief moment, one finally engaged me and ultimately instructed us to: "Come back in 40 or 45 minutes so you'll be here when your table is ready. What's your mobile number?" We took a walk to Sag's fab bookstore, and 45 minutes later returned to the restaurant (without the benefit of a text notification). I approached the maitre'd to say we've returned as they advised. She did not look up, but eventually acknowledged my presence. She noted our presence but did not share an update on how much longer we'd have to wait. My pals asked me to press her for something more definitive, since an outdoor table did not appear to be in the cards and the level of noise in the indoor eating area was quite overwhelming. I returned to the maitre'd and gently asked her for the estimated wait time for a table. She coyly said it would be another half hour and claims that she originally told me it would be an hour and 15 minutes. (She hadn't.) I proceeded to ask why she would ask us to come back in 45 minutes when a table wouldn't be free for an hour and a quarter? She curtly cut me off: "Do not interrupt me." Huh? I suppose when your eating establishment is the beneficiary of your village's growing popularity (versus the actual food and ambience), you don't have to be especially accommodating, let alone civil. Sadly, the stress these hostesses suffered that night (and likely most nights) was sadly misdirected -- at us, the customers. My wife and I eat frequently dine at owner David Loewenberg's other restaurants -- Bell & Anchor and Fresno -- but we'd think twice before trying to land a table again at The Beacon. We'll opt to let the day-trippers take the abuse. (Two stars are for the harbor sunset views.)
google avatar

R. K.

Yelp
A beautiful view...A delicious dinner with family...What more could anyone ask for? The Beacon provided all this and more on this warm Sag Harbor evening. Overlooking the yachts and sailboats while enjoying a fine chardonnay we began with the sharing of appetizers. Two orders of the fish tacos were uniquely prepared with pepper jack cheese. While not crispy as the menu suggested - with the added salsa and tomatoes the flavor and freshness of this delight could not be ignored. A second appetizer of Tuna Tartare was the best we've experienced in recent memory. With capers, cucumber and whole grain mustard - we couldn't have asked for more. However the best was yet to come as main courses arrived in timely fashion. The "Sesame Crusted Tuna" with Soba Noodles under a lite cabbage salad was excellent. Perfectly prepared the light crusted flake topping blended wonderfully with the tuna and noodles. The "Dijon-Crusted Cod" with mussels, potato puree and corn had an honest subtle flavor that could not be ignored - only appreciated. A light order of "Lobster Rigatoni" with cheddar and roasted corn was another winner as was the "Farro Bowl" with Kale and Grilled Eggplant. With tummies happy we passed on dessert and left the Beacon with smiles of appreciation. The best meal during our Hampton stay...

Stan S.

Yelp
Food and service was good but pricey. Although it seems like a good deal being required to pay $75 for appetizer and main is actually expensive. Appetizer shouldn't be more than $25 while fish dinner should be no more than $35-40. Also one is never shown a dessert menu so they can charge as much as they like. Bread was not offered. Water was not refilled.

Yelp
I had dinner here with friends last night. It was quite busy for a Sunday but I attribute that to the fact that it is Labor Day weekend. I'm not sure if we had a reservation but we sure waited quite a long time to be seated but we were a party of six so it's understandable. For drinks, they were very expensive but very generous. A round of 5 drinks came to $90!! It doesn't have a fancy decor but it sure has a lot of Sag Harbor's regulars on the scene. However it wasn't a snooty vibe. In fact, quite the opposite it was a very relaxed and laid-back kind of place. The service was above average but nothing spectacular. I think that was probably because they were very busy. Our server was very nice but seemed somewhat rushed. I had an amazing ribeye that was cooked perfectly. Served with a very fresh and lightly dressed arugula salad. The highlight of my visit here was the beautiful view of the dock and all of the boats with their twinkly lights. :)
google avatar

Jane A.

Yelp
Dinner was very disappointing. The view was beautiful and the service was solid. For appetizers, the wedge salad was extremely overdressed to the point that it was just not enjoyable. The crispy taco was a very small portion. For the mail course, the sesame crusted tuna was good, but salad and noodles were so overdressed. Lastly the bouillabaisse should be overhauled it just taken off the menu. The waiter said it was very substantial which was so NOT the case. They put a lobster shell on top but there is no lobster meat. You get a small portion for $46. Don't bother. Sadly we will not be returning.

Chelsey F.

Yelp
Great experience due to the following: 1) friendly bartender 2) delicious shrimp salad 3) very good pork 4) nice atmosphere This review is long overdue as we visited several months back but I would recommend as the food was consistent and we enjoyed the overall experience.

Alexandra L.

Yelp
The food here is unbelievable and you can't beat the view. We had a table outside, but I would note that they're doing indoor dining (which we are not comfortable with) so would make sure you know where you're going to sit. The staff is also incredibly nice and the manager (maybe owner?) checked in on us twice to make sure everything is ok. 10/10 would recommend.
google avatar

Jourdan G.

Yelp
What an amazing time we had!!!!! Came here to celebrate a birthday. Service was a bit slow initially so we went straight to the bar. Fabrice was quick and served our bottle of rosé with a smile. Not long after, we ordered food and it was delicious! Loved the lobster toast and the burger. Akeem came to clear the table and his Jamaican accent was to die for :) loved to hear his story about schooling and wishing him the best. Lucas came To check on us and ensure that we were having the most amazing time. Such an amazing feeling. Seneca ensured that we got off okay and wished us a good night. There was live music and it was def an amazing place to enjoy the sunset. Definitely would come back here again! Thank y'all so much. :)
google avatar

Keith W.

Yelp
Worth the wait. Try to get a reservation around sunset. The view and the food are both dreamy. You won't be sorry!
google avatar

Play J.

Yelp
Food is delicious (though steak is so-so) stuff is friendly EXCEPT the manager or whoever he was). He definitely made a great contribution to ruin our dinner. We booked for 8, then 2 left because they couldn't wait any longer for waitress to order. He said we should have let him know why we are 6 now (without asking the reason why our friends left at the first place) I think he was so upset that he decided at every convenience demonstrate to us his frustration. We had two kids with us and I can tell because of that guy this place is NOT kids friendly. When my friend took kids to the terrace to enjoy fireworks he said they cannot be there even they were wearing masks and kept 6 ft distance. Anyways we spend a great time celebrating 4th of July but damn you have to do smth with that guy! if you want to enjoy nice dinner without any stress I'd recommend to choose The Bilboquet instead
google avatar

Pauly G.

Yelp
Only go here if you hate money and good service ! The bartenders suck and have an attitude like they are doing YOU a favor. They are also slow and panic under pressure. Food is overpriced and underwhelming. I fell like the waiter should have had a ski mask and a gun when he handed us the check. If you are paying between $30-$40 for an entree, at least put some love into the food ! I would advise you to only go for drinks and watch the sunset, but the bartenders suck so you can't even do that.
google avatar

Leigh W.

Yelp
Food was fantastic!! Best we have had in Sag. Service was very good. Highly recommend. We arrived at 6 on a Thursday with a party of 5 and were seated immediately outside. I had the Fluke special which was divine.
google avatar

Derek V.

Yelp
Amazing view of the dock makes this place a great spot for dinner. Great variety of plates offered with a large crowd of Hampton locals. Fast and exceptional service although I did find the waitresses wearing sunglasses everywhere pretty odd. The pasta was probably the highlight of my experience while looking at the sunset.
google avatar

Kiki K.

Yelp
What can I say, I am a sucker for a killer view and happy ending. Thankfully, I had both. Lets be pragmatic; a weekend reservation at ANY East Hampton restaurant with a view in the month of August is...in itself....a job. My expectations may not be that of the masses, because for me, anytime I can get a smile, a properly mixed libation and I sunset, I am happy. The Beacon appears casual but wreaks designer.... it is the perfect combination of "would you like a 2007 Silver Oak with your truffle bistro burger." With that said, we waited at the bar for about 30 minutes before we were seated. Some people may interpret this as a ploy of the restaurant to drive up the bar tab. I say who cares... if I were pressed for time, I suppose it would bother me. We had a very lovely waitress. Her name was Tina. She had really great energy and an infectious smile, which felt genuine. We had a fabulous table to take in the sunset. I had the Tuna Tartare and he had the NY strip. Both were good but if it were my restaurant, I would try something riskier on the menu to set my place apart from the others. The real story here is the afterparty... Yep, dessert was the show stopper, thus the happy ending. Don't miss the opportunity try the "cookie ice cream sandwich, catch the sunset and stop and smell the rosé.
google avatar

Pamela A.

Yelp
THE best meal I've had in ages! I had the lobster rigatoni and it was delicious! I also shared tuna tartare and the special of the day which was exquisite. Overall, nice ambiance by the water and the best Hamptons meal and probably best meal I've had in a very long time.
google avatar

Sue S.

Yelp
We have been going to the Beacon since it opened. It's a favorite of ours and has never disappointed us. However, last night,y girlfriend and I went out for a girls night out. We were immediately seated, but waited quite a while for a server to come over, I guess 2 woman don't rank when we were surrounded by large groups of 30 something's . I was happy to hear they had Stripe Bass as a special. It was delicious, as was the ever famous Pork Milanese. I have never in my life, and I've eaten at some of the best restaurants I've n NYC, been charged $45 for a locally caught fish. It's a disgrace.
google avatar

Anjali P.

Yelp
Had an amazing meal here on a quick weekend getaway from NYC! The prices are a bit steep, but that's pretty standard in sag harbor. App: tuna tartar with red curry (and some other things). The red curry was overpowering the tuna - really small portion for $14 Dinner: lobster rigatoni with fresh corn, basil, and cream sauce = amazing. We also had the special of the day - grilled fluke with mashed potatoes and chorizo broth which was also very good. All in all - this place has an amazing view and the price tag is worth it for that alone. Service was also great.

Lilah M.

Yelp
Food and service was both amazing. It is a walk-in only restaurant so expect a wait but they seem to turn tables very quickly. I got the specials of the night and they were fantastic
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
We've been eating here for years, the food is consistently on point. The cocktails too, I know people complain about the wait, but I don't mind waiting a little while, bc then I can annoy the view with a blood orange spicy margarita, or two! We love the view of the marina, the sunset, the service and of course the food. We always start with the Portobello Mushroom and Tuna apps. The steak is always juicy, the chicken is better than I've had anywhere else, and the risotto on the side, Omg the risotto! My favorite part about the seared tuna is the Asian coleslaw that comes with it, and the vegetarian bowl is surprisingly delicious!

Yelp
One of my new go to spots in the Hamptons. For starters, Sag Harbor is probably the coolest town on Long Island. The vibe at Beacon is also pretty chill. The restaurant is located above a yacht club, with a view of the bay. The scene is lively but not douchy in any way, it's completely casual. Service was extra-friendly and the food was great. I had a burger and my chica had the fish of the day (grilled tilefish). We split a chocolate chip ice cream sandwich. Bonus points for having Negro Modelo......

Yelp
We went to the Beacon on Saturday night 8/17/13. The restaurant is a short walk from our home. The restaurant on Saturday was very busy, which is to be expected, we went to the bar and order a round of drinks. The bar was crowded, we found a space and were really enjoying ourselves (group of 4). Order a second round went to close out our tab, and came upon the worst bartender I have ever seen in the restaurant business, and believe me I would know! I understand the challenges that Beacon must have putting together a staff for the summer ! The person working behind the bar at the Beacon on Saturday 8/17/13 is name is Matt, which I found out from the hostess, can't call him a bartender considering he is inept, clueless , rude and just horrible. Matthew who is the true sense of the word is a seasonal employee that they put behind the bar. I asked Matthew to close out my tab "please sir", took my card and receipt and throw it back at me smashed it down, did not say thank you did not acknowledge that I was there. Ok we all know Matt is a je$k-off, but this is the best part !! I ask Matt if he could please shake my martini again, because he served it warm! Matt made a nasty face put it in a shaker and TOLD ME TO SHAKE IT MYSELF!! Bottom line I know Matt is seasonal help but should be fired !! I did not make a big this at the time, because I want to have a nice dinner with my friends and not ruin my time in Sag Harbor. When we sat down for dinner the FOOD was GREAT, and waiter was awesome! So if you go to this restaurant avoid Matt he is costing this establishment money, because even though the food was great and the service was great, i will never go back to the Beacon this season, because of my experience at the bar! THANKS MATT maybe I will check out the Beacon again next spring, that in case Matt is no longer working there!

Yelp
Excellent - and great advice from my fellow Yelpers. Show up when they open at 6 for dinner. We got a lovely table outside with no wait. By the time we left it was packed and they were telling people it would be an hour and a half wait. The view of the sunset was spectacular and the food was wonderful. Let's face it, everything in the Hamptons is overpriced - you might as well at least go to a place that's overpriced where the food is good. The tilefish is buttery and delicious. The lobster rigatoni had terrific flavor and a wonderfully light and balanced cream sauce. The shellfish bouillabaisse was rich and delicious in all the right ways. Oh and did I mention the appetizers? Fluke crudo - perfection. Charcuterie board - fantasitic and perfect for sharing. Who doesn' t need a little fois gras to start their dinner? Finally a vacation splurge that's worth it.

Yelp
The Beacon is situated right on the harbor which is an excellent place for dinner while watching the sun set. We dined with my sister-in-law and her partner. We ordered the lobster rigatoni with aged cheddar and the boys ordered the grilled prime NY steak. I had a Mojito which was well made and refreshing on a late summer afternoon. The boys had beer and SIL had a mixed cocktail that she thoroughly enjoyed. The ambiance was nice, the food was tasty and served in a prompt fashion. There was a small kerfuffle prior to our being seated but I felt the restaurant handled the situation well by finding us a seat quickly and with friendly service thereafter. To conclude, The Beacon is a nice place for dining in Sag Harbor and I would come back again.

Yelp
Delightful experience! Beautiful waterfront setting! Attractive, delicious, generous portions served by friendly waitstaff. Indoors and out, the layout conforms nicely to Covid standards.

Yelp
Show up early. The doors open at 6 pm. We arrived at 6:08 and happily took the LAST free table. The atmosphere was relaxed. The view of the harbor and the sunset that followed were spectacular. The host/owner David Lowenberg was gracious and welcoming. We loved the specials. Perfectly grilled Mahi Mahi sat atop a crunchy bed of sweet corn and flavored with a tomato coulis. The panzanella with heirloom tomatoes and capers was light and refreshing. Finally, the show-stopper was the best key lime tart I ever had. The short bread crust replete with tiny flecks of macadamia nuts made for a decadent respite for the tangy key lime goodness. It was divine! Go early. Go often. Go with fun people. Add wine and enjoy!
