Beadnell Towers Hotel (Beadnell, Northumberland) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"An hour up the Northumbrian coast from Newcastle, in the village that gives it its name, Beadnell Towers dates back to the 18th century. Thus it comes as something of a surprise to find so modern and so handsome a boutique hotel. The décor is historically minded but quite obviously the work of a keen contemporary designer, and is a fine complement to the antique architecture. And the Bar and Kitchen are arguably what puts Beadnell Towers on the map, showcasing locally sourced seafood and produce." - Tablet Hotels

We had our Golden Wedding Anniversary meal in the restaurant here. It was such a lovely occasion. The manager and the staff could not have been more welcoming and attentive. The table they had reserved for us was perfect for our occasion. We were given complimentary glasses of prosecco, and the service generally was excellent. They had printed out a lovely message from our family and clearly wanted to make the occasion special for us. The restaurant was busy, lively and had a lovely vibrant atmosphere, without being too noisy. We had meals off the specials menu - very good Shetland mussels, followed by pheasant breasts, nicely presented. Despite being busy, the waiting times for the food was just right. We can strongly recommend this 'Kitchen' - a great experience for us.

Had a two night weekend stay. This is an attractive hotel in a good location. Our room was nice, though very small for what we paid. ||The bar area and separate side room are both very nicely decorated - but we definitely felt they lacked a little in atmosphere - mainly due to the overly bright, cold lighting. Adding in low lighting lamps, dotted around and softer overhead dropped lighting generally, would totally transform both spaces. We've been in several hotels and pubs where they have retro style record player sitting on the end of the bar playing older music in the background (such as Crown Posada, Newcastle) and it's amazing what a difference that makes to ambience, as opposed to piped in music. This is a nicely decorated set of rooms (although drinks v expensive) however a few lighting tweaks would make it so much more welcoming and inclined to stay (and spend money!) longer. Both nights we were there it was pretty much deserted of customers/guests by 9.30pm and this was a weekend! ||The bar staff were friendly and efficient, the restaurant staff less so (and also brightly lit). We found the manager Nikki to be both very pleasant and efficient. We would definitely return regularly if bar/snug room lighting/ambience were improved.

We organised a three night stay for our local car club and took 19 of the rooms. The location was an excellent base for our driving tour of Northumbria. We were in a variety of vintage and classic cars with some modern ones, the hotel made sure that we had secure parking each night. The staff were excellent, friendly and professional ensuring that everything we needed was catered for during our stay. We were on half board for the three night stay and enjoyed sampling the food on the menu. A special thank you to Maria for ensuring that our visit went as smoothly as it did.

Fabulous hotel, amazing staff, food was incredible and our wedding was magical. Special thanks to Maria, Mick, Jen, Cameron and Simon for all your support and the extra effort you made to make our party of 29 all feel welcome, pampered and thoroughly spoiled. From the moment we all arrived it was obvious that staff at this hotel are committed to providing the best experience for all of their guests. |We’ll be forever grateful to you all for making our week of wedding celebrations memorable for all the right reasons.

Our stay was made enjoyable by the comfort of all areas of the hotel, both in the bedroom and the public areas. The food and service was exceptional. The staff, without exception, throughout the hotel were both friendly and helpful. We look forward to our next visit.|I have only one minor complaint and it is the lack of storage space in the bedroom e.g it would have been beneficial to have some drawers in the bedside table and/or under the desk/dressing table.

Went out for dinner at the Towers over the summer and we had such a lovely meal. The food was tasty and felt fresh full of flavour. The restaurant offers a dog friendly section too which was perfect for us and our 4 legged friend! Big shoutout to our waitress, Emily, was fantastic. The service was great from start to finish, hoping to return on our next travels up north!

We held our wedding here on September 16th and all of our guests stayed at Beadnell Towers. Without exception, we all had the most wonderful time. Maria and Mick arranged every thing, from the rooms, to the food. Jen on reception spent time on the morning of the ceremony pinning flowers to the guests lapels! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we’ll be forever thankful. Cameron was on the bar on the evening of our wedding and kept everyone on track. Night manager Simon was a hero when I misplaced my room key and couldn’t get back in to get ready for my own wedding! The restaurant was stunning, food was excellent, breakfast was just what we all needed the morning after and we hope to be back next year to celebrate our first anniversary. Thanks to everyone at The Towers for a truly memorable week xx

The Northumberland coast is a wonderful part of England and Beadnell Towers is a perfect hotel from which to explore. Very professional, friendly and efficient staff make a visit such a relaxed experience. Clever use of space in the dining/bar area separate dogs and non-dogs allowing a relaxed ambience. The enlightened attitude to dogs is very welcome (and other establishments need to recognise this part of the market - which is growing) Well done to Beadnell for getting it so right. Food was universally excellent - staying for a week meant I tried many of the dishes - all excellent - and served by very professional and pleasant staff. My stay was a joy in this 5*+ hotel - and I will return!
