Bean & Leaf Cafe

I've been visiting this café every Tuesday for the last seven or eight months as part of a Meetup group that meets in the evening for sketching. Every visit has been just as pleasant as the last, if not more. Everyone who helps there is fun to talk with, there's a large enough selection to make every season or long day enjoyable, and the space itself is open and accommodating, lending itself to be a great venue to meet or work. There's something for everyone here, and if you're looking for your new "spot," or perhaps just passing through looking for a recommendation on a place to meet a friend for tea, you won't be disappointed.

My Earl Grey Tea was perfectly made. I love that everything I asked for they had to accommodate me. Staff were kind and pleasant.

Great service! The selection of Coffees and Teas are wonderful! I opted for a Latte it was delicious and hot! I love it when I order my coffee and just let them do their thing without expectations and they knocked it out of the ball park! I need to get back there soon! We also ordered an Americano and a dessert. It was an enjoyable experience to a great nightcap in Royal Oak! Smiles and welcoming voices! Inviting and clean space to visit and hook up your laptop! Good drinks, unique selection and a nice atmosphere. The service can be a bit slower, so make sure you have time to relax at a coffee shop for a while, but I would recommend this place to anyone looking for either something unique or just a standard brewed coffee or espresso beverage. The location is great and is perfectly walkable for many, but if you have to drive there is metered parking either behind the store on on the street, you'll need coins - no card readers.

Staff is attentive to your needs, but doesn't hover. There's a good amount of space. The food is good, but definitely not restaurant quality (a given). The atmosphere is relaxed. If you're planning on working, it's a good idea to bring headphones, as customers are sometimes loud when conversing.

This small shop always has a great atmosphere and energy. I come here for a lot of meetings and it’s a great place for that. I always seem to get the same barista who is excited and happy to make anything I want. I can even ask my usual “what do YOU think I want to drink?” And they give great suggestions. Wonderful location and plenty of parking nearby.

My favorite Cafe in Royal Oak. Super friendly staff and incredible coffee. I haven't had much of their baked goods, but they always look tempting. Very chill environment inside if you're looking for somewhere to relax or read.
