A postcard‑perfect tip of Anna Maria with sweeping Skyway views and dazzling sand, often highlighted by Southern Living. As of Sept. 5, 2025, local officials posted a No Swim Zone on the north end—visit for sunset walks, not swimming.

We absolutely love Anna Maria! Bean Point Beach is absolutely stunning! It’s a family friendly beach… quiet, clean and so much great things to do on the island. The waters are crystal clear on good days and great for family with small kids since there aren’t really big waves (at least when we’ve gone). We’ve been to many beaches on the west coast of the Gulf, and AMI is our #1 fave. Take the trip… so worth it!

We love this spot. The water is emerald colored and clear. You don't have trash or the amount of people like what you would find at a public beach. The people are friendly and polite. It is a very family oriented beach. I highly recommend giving it a visit.

Google
Beautiful beach, beautiful sunsets and sunrises … not much people very quiet and the sand is white… was not difficult to find parking although you my have to walk a bit .. there is no bathrooms at this location .

Google
Beautiful beach with easy access. The weather obviously can be very sporadic and reflects the water conditions. Parking can be easy to find if you come out early in the morning

Google
An absolutely perfect beach with sand dollars and shells galore! Also a really big part of the sea turtle protection program! Come prepared though because there are no restrooms on the beach.

Bean Point Beach is absolutely stunning. Peaceful, crystal-clear waters and breathtaking views. A perfect spot to relax and connect with nature.

Google
Absolutely gorgeous, only downside the parking is horrendous. Lots of beautiful shells and the water were gorgeous. I took engagement photos here, and they're beautiful. We spent about 5 hours at the beach. It was pretty packed, especially for a Tuesday afternoon. I recommend being there early for decent parking and spots on the shore.

Google
The most peaceful sunset I've ever seen at the beach! Parking is hard to find, so go early and take a chair or blanket.

Yelp
Beautiful beach with pristine, clear water, perfect for enjoying a day in the sun and watching a beautiful sunset. The soft white sand is sprinkled with small shells. The surrounding area is clean and well-kept, with multiple entry points providing easy access to the beach. However, parking can be challenging, as there are no dedicated parking lots nearby, and finding neighborhood parking on weekends can be tough. Additionally, there are no showers or restrooms available, so be prepared to head back to your car with sandy feet. Despite these minor inconveniences, it's a beautiful spot to enjoy the water, sand, and a peaceful sunset.

Yelp
Went to AMI and stayed across from Silver Surf Resort. Had a private beach but wanted to explore other beaches the 2nd day. Went to Bean Point and fell in LOVE! Water was crystal clear, sand was beautiful, parking was hard to find so be sure to pray as your driving around and He'll provide a spot, walk was about 50 yards from street. Shells were great that day for Ceriths. Will stay on Bean Point next time.

Yelp
Visited this beach during the week in September. It is a quiet and beautiful beach at the most northern tip of Anna Maria Island. The beach has soft clean sand and slopes gradually into the ocean. There are no facilities, and parking is very difficult. It is the beach adjacent to a residential neighborhood. All parking is street. You must obey the numerous no- parking signs , and be careful not to block anyone's driveway. There are three access points onto the beach. The shortest walk is about 1/3 mile if you get lucky and park next to an access point. This is not the beach to come to if you are not in good physical shape. I would also avoid this area during snow bird season.

Yelp
This beach is a killer to find parking. if you're not staying at one of the rentals, it's annoying the lack of a shower. You're all sticky and sandy in your car. The free beach trolley doesn't service this beach. There is also no umbrella service here. Now that the possible negatives are out of the way, the beach itself is amazing!!! Simply gorgeous unspoiled not jammed packed quiet beach with lots of wild life. Crystal clear waters.... With all the setbacks, we keep returning.

Yelp
Nice little beach. There is a play area for the children. The area I visited was a small area. Pretty clean beach and very quiet. Good place to sit and listen to the waves. If you don't want the crowds come check this beach out.

Yelp
The most northern beach on AMI. Very little people due to its location and extremely limited parking. The best way to get here is by walking or bicycle. Great for sunsets depending on the time of the year. No bathrooms or lifeguards. Soft sand. A little bit of a walk from the roadway to the beach. I recommend.

Yelp
This is one of my all-time favorite beaches in FL! Anna Maria Island overall is fantastic, and Bean Point is a hidden gem of a beach right on the northernmost tip. This means you have to drive pretty far up the island to get there, or walk over a mile on the beach by foot, so far less people station there for the day. There's also not a specific parking lot for it which can create a lot of issues in its own right. So long as you can find a side street to park along, you will be good though! And let me tell you, the trouble is worth it to go there! I have found whole sand dollars and awesome shells every time, I think it's something about the tides criss crossing since it's the end of the inlet, because you can't find near the shells at any other beach on AMI. This is the best spot- it's so quiet and gorgeous! I will go back any chance I get.

Yelp
We've been to the Bean several times over the past decade+. Each time seems to be a different experience. Back in the day before water levels rose, the beach portion seemed to jut out quite a bit further. My first trip here also features glass-like water, which you could wade 25-50ft out in before getting into 5ft of water. While those days are likely gone forever, I still enjoy this beach. There's plenty of space here and it's as clean as a whistle. There are no amenities unless you count sand and water. I like this beach for the elongated access around the tip of the island, which offers a long walk if you're up for it. Shelling here isn't the best if that's what your mission. And it tends to be windy on this beach. That made it tough to bump the volleyball around in. But this is one of my favorite beaches in the area. Cheers.

Yelp
Must visit in Anna Maria Island, the water is so clear with fine white sand. Parking is limited. No life guard and no bathroom but the view is just amazing. Must visit.

Yelp
For the effort to get here and find parking, I'm not sure it's worth it. The beach was pretty, but definitely not the best in the area. I also didn't see much shaded areas (maybe I missed them), so if you're here for a while, plan accordingly.

Yelp
Bean Point is a must if you want to escape the far more crowded beaches of Anna Maria Island. In addition to the far quieter environment, the wildlife also seem to love it! We saw *hundreds* of stingrays from the beach swimming offshore (we saw these nowhere else during our stay!) and the beaches have hundreds of birds as well. I can't imagine at least one day in the relative solitude of Bean Point during a visit to Anna Maria Island.

Yelp
Nice beach in Anna Maria town in Tampa bay. The beach is clean and family friendly. There are hip on hop off carts. We parked at Anna Maria Bay Front Park. Beach was shallow and good for swimming. The park has shower and changing station.

Yelp
The best place to chill - take in the view All time favorite place to hammock. Would strongly suggest!

Yelp
One of the nicest white sand beaches on the entire Island right on the tip. On Bean point Beach it's a little bit of a hike but there is public parking available. not The beach is really not a Shell Beach but you'll find sand dollars sometimes. Well worth the visit especially if you're staying near there.
google avatar

Veronica M.

Yelp
An absolutely beautiful beach with not a lot of people going to. My boyfriend and I went to this beach because we wanted to go to a beach that wasn't too crowded and this place was perfect. The sand is a beautiful soft white and the water so cooling and clear. I'd definitely recommend checking out this beach.
google avatar

Veronica P.

Yelp
The northernmost point of Anna Maria. The sand area is very large and is hard by the water so its good for jogging with shoes on. There were not a lot of people here when I went so I was able to jog about a mile before hitting the crowds by Pine street. Beach access is a bit hidden but there are a couple of different paths to access Bean Point.

Yelp
TAMPA BAY, bring your family to Bean Point. The water is perfect, waves are abundant, and there are shells for all the kids. There is parking on the east side of the point and a short walk to the beach access. Bring some goggles as there are lots of fish under the sea, shells, and crabs to catch. Come early if you are a shell hunter. Huge beach with lots of room and very few people. Plenty of room for games and such. Booze would be tough since regular patrols by FLA fish and wildlife. Just keep it in a Tervis. Great day and always coming back for a sunburn, boogie board session and a little homemade ice cream to boot.

Yelp
My all-time favorite spot on AMI. This secluded beach offers magnificent views of the Gulf of Mexico, Bay of Tampa, and Egmont Key. It's kept original and untouched. The water is warm, there's lots of wildlife all around. Sunsets are quite unique on this isolated place. The best way to get here is by foot or bicycle. Do not drive here as it is extremely difficult to find parking, and Anna Maria parking enforcement is tenacious!

Yelp
Wow. It's so beautiful here. The island itself is so cute. Little shops and restaurants throughout the area. This particular point is a must see. Love the view of the waves crashing and the crisp clear water. White sand throughout the beach. Roadside parking. There is beach access throughout the island. Just look for the sign that says BEACH ACCESS. If you visit the island. Be sure to come to Bean Point. AMAZING

Yelp
Easy to find and easy parking. The beach had many people on it, but def less busy than the other beaches we visited. We saw many sand dollars and crabs today. The sheriff came around to share that two people reported being stung by stingrays. We continued to enjoy the water though!

Yelp
A stunning spot away from the crowds. White sand, very fine. An amazing must see part of Anna Maria Island! You feel as if you are on the edge of "another world" somewhere far into the Tropics. I suggest going here in the early to late afternoon to get the best light and sky effects for your photos while avoiding the bugs of the early day.

Yelp
Beautiful views from this part of the island. We have stayed across the way and been to Ft. Desoto and Egmont Key, so it was nice to see them off in the distance. It is worth the trip, especially at sunset if you are nearby.

Yelp
This was well worth the visit. We were staying in S. Holmes Beach so we drove up to check it out. There is plenty of public parking, just look for the signs and make sure your tires are not on the road or you will get a ticket! It's a walk from parking to the beach, so be prepared when hauling everything. We usually have a canopy, chairs, cooler, etc but brought only a beach bag as we were only going to stay for a bit - I wish we brought everything, it was beautiful! The sand is nicer here than some of the southern parts of the beach, you could find shells for days and we even had some manatees swim by and visit. Heads up - DO NOT IGNORE the warnings about rip tides. At the point in the sandbar the current is strong and it was a work out to just walk through parts of it and we were in shallow water. I do not recommend bringing any little ones or someone who is not a strong swimmer into this. Other than that, this is a must visit for anyone visiting AMI!

Yelp
Trumps siesta key beach any day. No idea how Bean point is not the #1 beach in the US. Soft clean sand and clear beautiful water. We saw plenty of wild manatees swimming along. Just gorgeous.
google avatar

Paul S.

Yelp
What a beautiful beach. Super soft clean white sand. Not a shell beach at all. Brought up about 50 sand dollars in one hours time. Took my legal limit of two home to bleach and display. Seemed to be plenty of free parking in the neighborhood. Just park between the posted signs and your good to go. No time limit. Not crowded at all. A real gem.
google avatar

Shelly G.

Yelp
OMG! Totally worth any trip! White sand and turquoise clear water! Finally a not crowded beach. A little piece of paradise in a island. You have to see it with your own eyes!

Sheryl A.

Yelp
Gorgeous natural beach. Lovely water temp and gentle waves when we were there. Interesting wildlife. Perfect for serenity as long as boombox restriction is enforced.

J W.

Yelp
My favorite beach in the world. It's right at the tip of The Island, so you get both Tampa Bay and the Gulf. Beautiful water, sand, and one of the least crowded sections.
