"This spot used to be an early 20th-century trapper’s cabin that, yes, belonged to a man named Beano. But nowadays, this fine dining restaurant is pretty far removed from a place where some dude used to sleep and skin wild animals. During the winter, you can only arrive by a snowcat-drawn sleigh that picks you up at the base of the mountain. Inside, the high-ceilinged space is covered in antler chandeliers, there’s always somebody playing acoustic guitar, and the dining room overlooks the alpine meadow. Unsurprisingly, the five-course tasting menu has a ton of excellent local meats like bison tartare, rotisserie game hen, and elk." - kim fuller

This is a difficult review... The food was amazing! The service was excellent. The venue is beautiful. The ride up the mountain, being towed by a snowcat, was fun and well worth $202 per person for a 5 course prefix menu. I get that a premium is paid for the experience! So, why not 5 stars? The drink prices are INSANE ($34 for a Negroni) and .... The kids. I like kids.... I love kids... But good Lord... After wine and drinks and a tip, our dinner was $370 per person. For that amount I should not have to deal with kids running around and screaming for chicken nuggets and fries! (My recommendation would be to have an adults only area and a family area. The restaurant is expansive!) All in all a wonderful experience with 5 star food, but for the price, it should be a bit more than it is.

I had the pleasure of being an associate photographer for a rehearsal dinner at Beano's Cabin a few years ago, and I’ve been eager to return ever since! It was honestly the perfect spot for any large gathering, and I can only imagine how amazing a wedding would be here. The atmosphere is truly unmatched—rustic yet elegant with breathtaking views and that cozy, intimate vibe that makes everything feel special. The food was incredible, and the barn setting is perfect for a celebration. It would be an absolute honor to photograph a wedding here in the future—it’s the kind of place that creates unforgettable memories!

5 course meal, everything is delicious. Service could not possibly be better. We also added the bone marrow, and it was an absolute delicacy. This is a great experience, and they take excellent care to make your night special!

A great experience from the time you walk in with ski locker with slippers! I was greeted by the GM Ben who was very attentive, you can tell he runs a great Restaurant. My server Chase was attentive and suggested the best dishes for me, which were all a hit. Baked oysters was a spin of Denver omelette which was great with an old fashioned, which I followed with the steak frites with Malbec, the chef was clearly very talented and creative It reminded me of Mountain ski restaurants in France’s & Switzerland. That you can ski in and out with great food, atmosphere. This place is a must try will in beaver creek.

Our reviews had over 56 million views in the last 12 months. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really love Beano's Cabin. Reservations are a must, and you will prepay. you can cancel up to 48 hours in advance. They take you on a 15 minute open sleigh ride which is lovely. Dress warm but they do provide blankets. This is a lovely giant cabin on the mountain with breathtaking views. The chef is one of the best in the world and the menu reflects it. It is a 5 course meal with multiple choices for each course except the 1st course which is a lovely soup served in a copper pot. The bread is exceptional as well with many choices. We had a party of 4 and each of us ordered something different for each course so I got to taste almost the entire menu. Must haves are the foie gras, the bison tarte tar, elk loin, sea bass is divine with an awesome shrimp risotto. It was all fantastic and you cannot go wrong with any choice. The desserts are equally exceptional. When you arrive they even offer a changing room where you can hang up your coat, take off your boots and they provide you will slippers!!! The log cabin motif is stunning as well. Drinks are extra but not expensive and they have all kinds of fun cocktails to try. Serving staff is very knowledgeable. The offered and we accepted for them to describe each dish and they did a great job. You have to be sure to do this because as they described each dish each of us changed our minds on what to order. Really great time had by all and a bucket list evening to be sure. Kids are ok and dress is casual but try to look nice. i know you will. Check out all of our reviews and look at all the photos below. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. We have had over 56 million views in the last 12 months and we thank you for that. We don't get paid; we just love to eat. Be sure to click on "RobH" at the top of this review to see all of them and to follow us if you like good food and FUN. If we do a review, it is because we love it.

Incredibly expensive but a wonderful experience. Dress warmer than you think for the sleigh ride. Food, atmosphere and service is exceptional.

Google
The sleigh ride was super fun and the ambiance of the restaurant is awesome. Beautiful place, great music, awesome views. Unfortunately the food was extremely underwhelming. None of the dishes we had were great, all very average. Not bad, but at this price point it should’ve been way better. Service was friendly, but our servers were very slow and inattentive. It’s a fun sleigh ride but not worth the money.

Google
Really nice experience that has become annual for my family. Food is fantastic, that’s the real reason we go. For someone romantic and private, it’s actually quite kid friendly since they can go outside to play (as long as they stay close as wildlife is present). The kids menu is just a normal dish though, still large and fine dining.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this experience! Sleigh ride up to the cabin was magical and very fun to see behind-the-scenes of the ski resort. Service was outstanding and very professional. Food was delicious and we all left very full. Our favorites of the night were the beef tenderloin, Beef tartare, and apple crumble! Only item I would skip on next time is the elk because the beef tenderloin was better. Highly recommend Beanos for a special occasion!

Yelp
The whole experience was fantastic. If you're looking for economy this is not For You. If you're looking for a great evening from start to Finish and you're not on a budget-- don't miss this!

Yelp
A great experience, but wildly overpriced! The kids have a set price meal. They get a starter (choice of fruit or salad) and entree (my kids chose pasta) and then a chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. The price for each kid was $91!! And then they each got a mocktail that was $30 each! The adult menu was 5 courses for $189, which isn't quite as crazy, but the food wasn't very good. The soup everyone was served was three bean and it was completely underseasoned. I hardly ever add salt to my food, but this soup definitely needed it. The main courses were small and also underseasoned. And the desserts were flat out awful! I ordered the Bananas Foster bread pudding. The best way I can describe it is a Weight Watchers banana bread. It wasn't ooey or gooey. It didn't have any sauce or carmelization. Just dry banana flavored cake with a tiny dollop of whipped cream. My husband got the death by chocolate cake and it was also dry, heavy and not sweet. And the four kids got chocolate chip cookies with ice cream. Impossible to ruin, right? They all said there was something wrong with the cookies and the ice cream wasn't good. And these are not picky kids! I gave the restaurant 2 stars because the ambience is amazing! Beautiful cabin with a big fireplace and live music. If they could improve the food and maybe get the pricing in line with other nice restaurants, especially for the kids meal, it would be good. And important to note, they don't offer an Epic pass discount in the winter, despite Beano's being listed as one of the places where your pass is accepted.

Yelp
Really had a wonderful experience between the ride, food and ambiance. Wait staff was wonderful and food items were local (ie., dishes you couldn't get elsewhere). Would recommend!

Yelp
Used to be really good but really bad now. Terrible service...hit and miss food. Wine guy is an ass. Really sad.

Yelp
Every year we visit and it's always an amazing experience. You take the sleigh up and down the mountain which in itself is a lot of fun. Pre-covid they used to provide fuzzy slippers for their guests, hopefully this will return. Dinner is a five course meal, with vegan and vegetarian options. I've tried the trout, venison, and beef tenderloin entrees. The tenderloin is a must! Their pork belly app is also a must as is their flourless chocolate cake dessert. They usually have the special soup and a vegan option. The vegan option (tomato basil) was somewhat acidic the time I tried it but still good. You should try them for lunch or dinner of you're visiting Beaver Creek.

Yelp
We have been coming to Beanos for years but after our last experience ... unsure if we'll be back. Our waiter was inattentive. However, the waitress who was helping him with our waters and drinks saved the day. She was doing her best to make sure we were taken care of. Unsure where the lack of communication was between staff, but our meal took over 4 hours. We waited a record of an hour for our main course along with dessert (literally ice cream) taking 45 minutes to be served. Back to our duo wait staff, after one of our guests complained to the hostess and refused to return to dinner because of the lack of service, our original main waiter was seen yelling at our sweet waitress (who was the only one helping our table). All very uncomfortable and questionable. On the food, unfortunately, it was just okay this time around!

Arthur Fulop ..

Yelp
Greatly overpriced at $189 per person while on OpenTable they say that a main course is $50 They hit you with a fixed price 5 course dinner each course very small equal to half a portion The drinks are also very expensive So at the end of the evening we were our over $500 for two persons including taxes and tips NOT worth it. It felt like a huge ripoff Beware

Yelp
Highlights: * Unique top of the mountain venue * Worth a one-time visit for the experience * Decent food and service * Large Wine list with some decent bottles around $100-150 * Price fixe dinner $119 pp with a few different choices Going to Beano's in the summer is a different experience than the winter, you have the choice to go by shuttle or on horseback. I would not recommend horseback watching how our shuttle covered the riders in dust as we drove past them. It's a bumpy not very scenic ride up there by shuttle in the Summer. You arrive to see a large fireplace and bar past the entrance, a terrace outside and a well maintained large rustic but elegant cabin setting for dinner. Everyone gets a small soup, ours was lukewarm, and a nice salad to start. Then you have your choice of several appetizers, entrees and a choice of dessert. It's all part of the $119++ price fix. We choose Ahi Tuna Poke and Foie Gras Torchon to start followed by the Venison and Tenderloin with a bottle of Belle Glos ($100). We went with our server, Art's recommendations for dessert choices, dark chocolate coconut cheesecake and Carrot Cake. Quality was good and nice professional presentations. Our conclusion is that everything was very good, but unspectacular. Good and friendly service, relatable food, a nice experience, but a one and done, check the bucket list type of place.

Yelp
Beautiful fun experience going up the mountain by sleigh in a snow cat observing the stars in the night sky and Beaver Creek village below. If chilled, one can shield themselves with the provided parkas. Upon arrival to the summit, we entered a rustic ambiance complete with a huge stone fireplace generating wood heat and exposed log interior. To start, we enjoyed a smoky Manhattan followed by a glass of fine Bordeaux paired with a caviar sampler. The best of the bunch was the beluga and paddle fish. Did not care for the others and potato chips for dipping into the crème fresh was not optimal. Enjoyed the rich lobster bisque with chunks of meat, and warm hatch chili muffins. Main course elk strap, although elegantly plated and cooked perfectly, was bland and tough. Would not order again. My friend had the squash vegetarian dish which also left more to be desired. For what the entrees lacked, the service, experience and atmosphere made up for. Service was great and impressed by the sommelier.

Yelp
I highly recommend Beano's cabin. The experience is amazing. And the food absolutely delicious. My husband and I also had a glass of Faust 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon which es absolutely wonderful. Everyone was so nice The sleigh guys were wonderful. You have to try Beano's cabin. You will not regret it

Yelp
Food Poisoning. BEWARE! We dined here on December 12th 2023. After waiting to experience Beano's after many people raving about it, we unfortunately had a horrible experience! Leading up to the days before our reservation, we were notified through text, email and several phone calls to confirm our reservation. We were told that the sleigh would depart promptly at 7:15pm for our 7:30 reservation, and we needed to be there or it would not wait for us. We got there promptly and waited for another couple for 40 minutes to arrive. Already late for our reservation, we get to Beano's and our table still isn't ready, and we wait another 30 minutes in their lobby. Then much to our surprise, the couple we were waiting on down below gets seated before us at the same size 4-top table we were given. The waiter was very nice and the soup, salad and appetizer all came out great! Time for our main course and the filet that 2 of us had ordered med-plus was completely raw in the middle! It couldn't have even been cooked, just seared. We sent both of them back and it came back out 10 mins later with some sort of gravy poured all over it and it was still just as rare as it was previously. Again, I sent it back and by this time still no manager had come over to apologize or offer anything additional while I waited. The rest of the people in my party had already finished, as well as everyone else. The dining room was empty! The staff was shutting down the restaurant and resetting the tables for the next day, which made us feel like we were being rushed out. The atmosphere to which we had partially paid for, had diminished, as well as our dinner experience! My husband asked to speak with a manager and he came over apologetic offering to comp the meal, but he was also very condescending when we tried to speak. We explained to him that this was unacceptable in a restaurant of this caliber and price point, as I had yet to receive my entree and the restaurant is resetting for the next day. The kitchen was already shut down while he jumped to make them prepare another steak for me, which we declined at this point. It was close to 11pm at this time and our reservation was for 7:30! Still not having eaten dinner, we leave on the last sleigh along with several of the staff. My husband gets back to our room and feels very awkwardly sick. He starts vomiting violently and ends up with food poisoning from what we presume is the elk entree that he consumed. We had all had similar soup, salad and appetizers and everyone was fine except for him. He consumed a glass of red wine while he was there, and didn't finish it, but that was all that he had while dining. I would warn anyone after the experience we had at this place. It's one thing to have the first several events to take place but when you get violently ill from eating at a restaurant to the point that you almost go to the ER, is very concerning! I informed our concierge at our residence about the events of the evening and I would only hope that this helps prevent anything similar to happening to anyone else who dines here. I am very curious if there were others recently who have had the Elk and have also gotten sick! I hope this was a helpful review for many others who are thinking of dining at this establishment!

Yelp
On December 12th I suffered food poisoning from the food at Beanos cabin. On December 13th while set to depart the Ritz, we had to extend our stay by one night due to my constant diarrhea On December 14th my wife emailed Ben Christie the GM to inform him of this experience On December 21st after not hearing anything we replied to the email On December 22nd we heard from James Gail of Beaver Creek with a list of questions On December 22nd, hours later we got back to this email with answers On December 31st after not hearing anything back after emailing 3 times, we submitted a charge back On January 1st, Beanos accepted the chargeback & closed the dispute On January 11th Beanos MANUALLY ENTERED my credit card information UNAUTHORIZED, WITHOUT APPROVAL and charged it. (FRAUD) 1. Beanos stores credit card information insecurely and without proper data storage protections 2. This is a fraudulent charge and will be reported as such 3. You charged us $80 for a kids meal where RAW salmon was served to a 3 year old 4. Ben Christie the GM knew our daughter was under 4 (kids supposed to eat free) yet we were charged 5. The kids salmon was taken off the check due to rawness and fish bones rather than being free as stated on Open Table 6. You gave me food poisoning which twisted my bowels inside out for over 24 hours 7. There is another guest who also had food poisoning the SAME night. December 12th, 2023 8. I will be reporting you to (however not limited to) The Colorado attorney generals office regarding fraud & consumer data protection, American Express, Eagle County Public & Environmental Health Department, & the Colorado department of Public Health & Environment 9. For the price you should be ashamed at the poor quality which led to food poisoning and the lack of service and deceitfulness related to this experience BEWARE

Yelp
My boyfriend took me here for a Valentine's Day for a romantic dinner. Yeah, it's romantic w acoustic guitar. The sled ride was fun for about 2 mins and after that it's was very uncomfortable and freezing up to the restaurant. The restaurant itself is on the mountain and has a cool ski lodge vibe. Turning to the food, it's was all down hill. A five course Pre-prix dinner that ranged from inedible to mediocre. Don't waste your money. Total tourist trap. Please RUN !!

Tim O.

Yelp
Great high-end alpine dining featuring a sleigh ride. Excellent service even as one person in my party had to take a work call that spanned the entire meal. Wine list was solid. What I will recommend, and this isn't necessarily a negative, is to prepare for a very long evening. We left our hotel to go to the pickup spot at 7:10. We arrived back at our hotel at 11:00 PM.

Aaron B.

Yelp
If you've made it here to Beano's Cabin's Yelp's page and are questioning whether to go or not ... go!!!! Hands down one of the best restaurant experiences one can imagine. It's worth every moment and penny to go here. Promise! Five stars for everything.

Rob S.

Yelp
OK, I have to be honest about this awful experience in the interest of saving anyone else from the miserable time I went through. Let's start at the beginning: We were told our reservation was at 8:30 and to be there to take the snowcat up at 8PM. We did not even LEAVE until 8:45. The ride up the mountain was the absolute most miserable cold me and my group experienced. It was COLD. You are taken up the mountain on an uncovered snowcat with cold, wet "blankets" to put around you. The ride is 15 minutes of TORTURE. On the plus side, the restaurant itself is lovely, and you're greeted with a glass of sparkling when you get in. As far as the food? YUCK. I'm sorry, it's not good. I have dined at this price point before plenty of times so I'm not some cheapo. The food is simply not good. Soup and salad was good but then again how can you mess up soup and salad? An assortment of appetizers wasn't much better. Got some bison tartare which was fine (again how can you mess up tartare), but multiple people got the Crudo with some awful fish we all hated. The ONLY thing that was good was the meat plate we added on as an appetizer. My table got an assortment of main courses, and nobody liked theirs. I personally got the game hen which came slathered in some awful sauce and lukewarm. I traded with my buddy across from me who got the elk. It was fine, but again lukewarm, and plated on some other awful sauce. His girlfriend got the fish which was WAY overcooked. I had a taste. It was terrible. The desserts are also awful as well. So what you're left with is multiple courses of food that is mediocre to BAD. Again, not complaining about price because I'm not a bum, but the tab came up to $300 a piece for this "meal." An absolutely miserable experience for that price point. Nobody was happy and absolutely NOBODY in my party of 8 will ever opt for this "experience" again. There are many, MANY places around to get a better quality meal than this. I expect that these people expect Beano's to be a tourist trap because I can't imagine that they get repeat customers, so it doesn't seem like they care all that much about food quality. I honestly, honestly would not recommend this place. I was not angry or rude. I actually found the experience so bad as to be comical. I will remember it FOREVER - but not in a good way!

Chrissy F.

Yelp
Open air sleigh ride up the mountain to Beano's sets the mood for a wonderful evening. The 5 course menu was delicious and service was great- definitely get the pheasant ravioli and the banana cream pie!

Tradd N.

Yelp
Lunch this season has been disappointing . Odd portions , no consistency and a few "cold" servers .

Mary E.

Yelp
You will get stranded. Food is great but when you are ready to leave get ready to wait.... A hour....

Nicole B.

Yelp
I'm at such a loss for how to describe this beautifully laid out, yet over-hyped restaurant. Came to Beaver Creek on a couples trip. The boys planned this and basically told us to dress very, very, warm. We arrive to the meeting point and the sleigh aka snow tractor drove up. We were instructed to hop in and cover up with a poncho for the 20 minute ride. It has been snowing that evening so all the ponchos were soaked. I didn't know what kind of meal we were heading into, so at that point I didn't care. **TIP** Sit as close to the front wall of the tractor sleigh to avoid the wind hitting you from all directions. We arrived and the restaurant was WARM and beautiful. We piled into the slipper room - very cramped, only a handful of cubbies open, but I put on slippers to "get the experience". (Who knows how many other people had worn those slippers.........) Sitting down for the meal, we waited a good while for the server to greet us. This is when we got the full explanation of how the meal worked, and what were the best plates, etc. Looking back now, it felt like a cruise ship. Which makes me think the majority of the food was pre-prepared and sitting in a warming oven waiting to be picked. We asked to start off with Nickel & Nickel while we let a bottle of Silver Oak decant. The sommelier came back only to inform us THEY WERE COMPLETELY OUT OF SILVER OAK. And then BRAGGED that some other couple had just drank their last bottle the night before, and then tried to upcharge us to a $500 bottle we had never tasted before. Call me a snob, but it was very upsetting and a rookie mistake for them to be out of Silver Oak. We opted for Opus, but still very disappointing. He did his job, though, and guarded that Opus like a hawk while we let it decant. Now for the food....the soup was a black bean puree - it did not match with any of the salads or plates and I thought was a poor selection. The cornbread was fantastic. I wasn't impressed with either salad selection and wished they had offered a classic ceasar. There were several great appetizer selections - I had never tried Foie Gras and it was very unique! Definitely worth a try, but it is a small portion. My boyfriend loved his pork belly. The ravioli looked fantastic and my friend loved her oysters. As for the main course.....the pork chop was the most recommended on the menu and I straight up thought it tasted like shit. It was hard, chewy, and lacking flavor. I complained to my waiter, the bus boy, AND the sommelier and nothing was done to appease me. I ate two bites and was finished. Everyone else at the table agreed. My boyfriend really like the duck and one of our friends though the sea bass was awesome -I thought it was too fishy. Desserts were nothing to write home about. Overall, this dinner was definitely an "experience". I'm glad we went and even more proud the boys planned it....BUT when you spend almost $2000 on a dining experience for four people, you should NOT have to take a cold and wet 20 minute sleigh ride home back down the mountain.

Yelp
What an experience! My date and I attended with our other good friends (a couple) and their two kids. The cat ride was awesome! Sure it is cold and some snow may fly up but you have some hardly blankets in case this happens. The night time views of the mountains are beautiful and well worth it. The cabin is beautiful. The staff is hospitable and attentive. There is a large coat room for you to get settled and change into some slippers, if you'd like. There is a big fireplace in the center of the cabin if you need some extra warming up. The cabin has huge windows and an almost completely open kitchen. On top of Beano's being aesthetically pleasing there was a nice acoustic musician playing in the background. The food is awesome. I went for the pumpkin soup, winter salad, foie gras, venison, and lemon tart. The pumpkin soup blew my mind. It was the best pumpkin soup I've ever had. My date enjoyed his tomato soup, but definitely kept trying to get in on mine. I heard the pork belly was good, I enjoyed my foie gras and it paired nicely with the suggested sauternes; the tartar was amazing! BUT the venison, I could eat everyday of my life. The flavor of the rub was perfect and the meat was cooked perfectly all the way through, with the most wonderful smokey taste. I have had venison prior to this and it does typically taste much more gamey. The lamb was also delicious, but I'd get the venison all day. My tart was awesome, but my date beat me with his sticky toffee. It is an expensive dinner but it is worth it for the experience and the food is unforgettable.

Yelp
It's a cozy and cute experience. The "sleigh" ride up the mountain past luxury homes to the little cabin at the top to have dinner is great. You can get cozy with your sweetheart and stay warm on the way up and down. Dinner is just ok. It reminded me of banquet hall food like mass produced and very over priced. Our dinner for 4 was nearly $1k - we did have two bottles of $60 wine. You come for the novelty of it, it is Beaver Creek after all.

Kirsten H.

Yelp
Hands down the coolest dining experience of my life. We were picked up by a snowcat-drawn sleigh and taken to the restaurant as the snow flurries came down - it felt like we were in a fairy tail! We were offered slippers to change into upon arrival, and after hanging our jackets we were ushered back to our table. Our team of servers were attentive and were incredibly helpful in pointing the three of us in the right direction to ensure we got the best of our five-course meal. I ended up with the split pea soup, winter salad, braised pork belly appetizer, venison for my entree, and the individual apple pie for dessert. Every aspect of the meal was phenomenal, but I was particularly blown away by the pork belly and venison. I was hesitant to order the latter as I don't usually eat game meat, but it was amazing. While this is definitely a special occasion restaurant, it is absolutely worth the splurge if you're able to. The atmosphere is magical, the service is fantastic, and the food is delicious.

Yelp
We had a great dinner last night at Beano's. The evening was an experience. The food was very good. It is a price fix meal, which includes a freezing and fun sleigh ride to and from the dining room. The sleigh ride master was hilarious and courteous. They provide blankets on the sleigh ride - yet the blankets had ice on some of them. It is an expensive night. We had a waitress who was very professional and personal. My daughter had a cross-contamination allergic reaction and the restaurant handled the post reaction very professionally as well. They were very concerned about our daughter and how to avoid it in the future. They comped our daughter's meal-which was the right move. The menu was varied and delicious. The sommelier was super qualified and entertaining. I highly recommend - for a run experience. The restaurant is physically beautiful - like a log cabin. I gave it a 4 star just because of the cross-contamination food reaction - which they promised they would do re-training in the kitchen, etc.

J T.

Yelp
We've been to a lot of very nice restaurants. This was one of them but I would recommend it more for the whole experience of it. A sleigh ride up the mountain in the cold air, welcoming staff invite you in to a warm cabin with a large fireplace in the entrance surrounded by wooden rocking chairs. They provide warm slippers and excellent service from start to finish and back down the sleigh ride again.

Scott L.

Yelp
Food was decent. However, the waiter there got nasty with us when we wanted to order a glass of wine and not a bottle ... because his tip would be smaller I guess. People at tables by us were ordering $200 bottles which I think was what he expected. It was still over $300 for the meal but he got all upset over us not ordering bottles of wine, didn't come back to check on us after we got our meal and just set our bill down and left without saying anything.

Yelp
The best thing about Beano's is the experience. Although a bit cliche, riding up in the sleigh with snowfall and entering a warm, cabin-like space with wood-burning fires, live music and a dressing room to get comfy (slippers & all); it is charming adventure. Unfortunately, the food falls very short of anything spectacular. It's pricey and uninspired. At the end of the meal, it really felt like an overpriced resort, hotel restaurant in which you're left feeling spiritless. The only redeeming menu item this night was the Bison Ribeye. The salmon was incredibly salty, inedible, which was a bummer considering it was highly recommended by the waiter as Chef Erving is from Seattle. It was really horrible. The soups were pureed and mediocre at best, the salad was a very modest portion--maybe overly sweet with actually cane sugar on top, the broccolini was stinky with what felt like canned mushrooms and the oysters fishy. The dessert was another lame note, the only thing I truly enjoyed was the grapefruit sorbet with the chocolate cake. The toffee pudding sounded 1000x better than the product. The table was a fan of the lemon tart. Really just a whomp whomp eating night, luckily our feet were comfy in slippers and we enjoyed the live music. Very far from the food journey was anticipated.

Yelp
If you want an unforgettable dining experience, make a reservation for Beano's Cabin. My family has been coming to Beaver Creek for over 20 years, and so we've tried almost every restaurant in the Avon area. None of them are as memorable as Beano's. This was our 4th or 5th time visiting here, and not a lot has changed over the years. One thing that makes it unique is the whole process of bundling up for the sled ride. You do have to be prepared for this, because it can be pretty cold on the drive up. That's the next thing that makes Beano's so special: it's set in the middle of the mountain at night...when else are you going to eat someplace like that? Of course once you get there, they welcome you into the warmth with a roaring fire and complimentary slippers. The food is excellent (very nice presentations) and you never leave feeling hungry. The only thing that I could see being a problem for some people is the noise level; there is sometimes a live acoustic guitar player, so everyone has to talk over the music. But really, once the wine starts flowing, you don't even notice the noise! This is one of my few absolute favorites, so I'm happy to give it 5 stars.

Yelp
Shuttled up to cabin although open table said option of wagon ride; that needs to be corrected. Had early reservations and scored a window table. Bret and Dan our servers were friendly and attentative. Strawberry salad fried heirloom tomatoes rabbit confit wild boar and quail were all good. Soups and berry cobbler were ok. Very expensive and way too much food. Once in a lifetime experience.

Yelp
Definitely an experience that everyone should try once, but I don't think we will go back. The view is incredible. Food was ok - some choices were better than others. When you have a limited menu; however, I would expect everything to be excellent - especially at these prices. It was also very, very slow - long wait between courses. Maybe this will improve as the season continues. This was by far out most expensive meal of the trip, but from a meal perspective, just not worth it. Glad we went, but probably won't again. It was just ok.

Yelp
So far this place is horrible. I consider it a tourist trap that gets you with the sleigh ride. Appetizers/salad were horrible. A step below any soup salad chain restaurant. My girlfriend noted to the waitress that her salad was too salty and the waitress just picked it up and walked away. No apology. Our soup tasted like watered down barbecue sauce. And I usually love barbecue sauce!, but this was repulsive. Another reason to avoid Beano's Cabin is that I brought my own bottle of wine. I don't mind paying $20-30 corking fee but this place is so short sited that they won't allow you to drink what you choose. I advise anyone that appreciates good food, good drink, and good service to avoid this place Addendum. Just when you think it can't get worse. My girlfriends food comes out cold and her grilled vegetables are rock hard. My medium rare porter House was well done. When we complained we get BS excuses. No offer to replace the dish or bring us something different. The take home message from this establishment is that they don't give a s-it. There are so many great restaurants in BC/Vail. Don't settle with Beano's Cabin

Yelp
Beano's is more than just the food, it is in large part the experience. After checking in at the base of the mountain at C Bar, you ride in a 30 person open-air sled that is pulled by a snow tractor for 10 minutes up the mountain to a secluded log cabin with amazing views. Once inside you are warmed by a large wood-burning fire place, and you have the option to put on a pair of Acorn slippers to keep your feet warmed. The menu is a 5-course treat including soup, salad, app, entree and dessert. I have been fortunate enough to dine at Beano's twice and I have greatly enjoyed the experience. It is not the best food I have ever had, but it is definitely very good. Is the whole experience worth the money? Maybe, maybe not, but I have heard friend question whether French Laundry was worth it. I think is is worth doing at least once, then making up your own mind if you want to return.

Yelp
Incredible. Starting off in a sleigh ride sets the tone. Slippers when you arrive, just perfect. Service and food were terrific. I highly recommend the Venison. I can't wait until my next visit.

Yelp
Unique and unforgettable experience. Exceptional food, fantastic wine list, superb service. Enjoy the ride up the mountain to the cabin and make certain if you have a kiddo who's up for an adventure ask for them to copilot the snow plow to/from. This evening was a true highlight of our trip to Vail.

Yelp
Food was great, service was great, the horse ride up to the cabin was fun. Deciding what to wear was little weird: I kept wanting to dress up for the restaurant and wanting to dress down for the horse back riding. Depending on your budget, some may say this adventure is not cheap! With the horse ride (which they failed to tell us had a cost), food, wine, and tip it was $637 for the 3 of us.

Yelp
Excellent service! The wine sommelier was very knowledgeable. Food was fantastic! Just a bit of a chilly ride there and back on the sleigh but what a view of the stars!

Yelp
Our family has come to the little gem 3 times now. We love the whole experience especially the ride up the mountain. Last year we went twice in a week. You have multiple servers and they all work together as a team. We have tried everything they have now on the menu. Everything is good. Highly recommend this spot for a romantic dinner.

Yelp
This was truly one of the Top Ten meals I've ever had. The service was spectacular; every server I encountered made me feel like I was the most important VIP who had ever entered Beano's. But it is the food that will have me back again and again. A five-course masterpiece (truly) that had me speechless. From the light and breezy melon soup, to the fresh garden (right behind the cabin) salad, to a porchetta appetizer that was unreal, to the most tasty piece of elk chop (I could have eaten the porterhouse size pork dish, too), to an insanely fresh pie dessert - it was a pointed, deliberate series of choices by a chef who is a master. Every single bite was majestic, and my table of 10 was stunned by how fabulous the evening turned out. Highly highly recommended!

Yelp
WOW! Our entire experience at Beano's Cabin was fantastic! We decided to do the horseback ride up to Beanos from the stables. Our guide was attentive and friendly. The horseback ride was about an hour and was on a beautiful path up the mountain. We crossed over at least one stream while riding on a wooded path. My girlfriend and I are not experienced horseback riders but we felt safe the whole time. The food was excellent! We started out with soup and salad, which were both very tasty. I had rabbit ragout over pappardelle as an appetizer and salmon for my main course. My girlfriend had tuna tar tar as an appetizer and venison for her main course. My girlfriend was concerned about the meat being gamey but she said that it was not gamey at all. The food was prepared exactly as we ordered it. For dessert, I had a s'more and my girlfriend had a fruit and cheese plate. Throughout our dinner, our waitress was very attentive to our needs. We sat near the window and were amused by a deer prancing around outside. There was a musician playing live music, which added a nice ambiance to our dinner. Although the dinner was on the expensive side, we both agreed that it was well worth the cost. A shuttle brought us back to the stable after our dinner. I highly recommend Beano's Cabin!

Yelp
Without a doubt, this was the most decadent and delicious experience that we cannot wait to repeat. From our bartender, DC to our server, Art and all the great staff in between, we felt welcome and completely pampered. There was no rush, no push, only a sense of relaxation. The wine and liquor were top shelf and the food (prix fix)was of the highest quality. We had fun talking with the staff and just trying all the little extras that they brought our way. Art even came out and said good night to us before we left.

Yelp
Upon Arrival: We hiked to the top of the mountain. When I walked in the cabin one of the first things I noticed were the incredibly high ceilings- especially the one over the main dining room. While walking to the table we past the exposed kitchen prep station with twin brick ovens located on each side of station. There were about 10 Chefs hard at work, prepping, plating, and placing plates on the ledge in front of them in a very accurate yet graceful manner. The GM of the restaurant, Casey Kaut, was very inviting and led his staff very well, making sure that all of the food sent out was up to par. Food: 1. Roasted corn, and carrot puree. 2. Chef salad- beets, carrots, beans, asparagus, and vinaigrette with some sort of sour cream sauce which did a fantastic job offsetting the tannic-ness and acidic taste of the balsamic. 3. Pecan wood brick oven pizza a. Peaches, mushrooms, sausage, tomato, and mozzarella. b. VERY GOOD- light on the palate while the peaches absorbed many of the non sweet flavors in the pizza which made it much easier to eat. 4. Double cut elk chop a. Sat on a bed of creamed corn b. Lots of flavor c. Not too gamey d. Cooked three ways i. Sous-vide ii. Pan seared iii. Fire oven- Picked up LOTS of apple wood/smoke char 5. Apple pie with rum ice cream a. Modern take on simple apple pie b. Crust was crackers that sat on top of diced caramelized apples c. Rum ice cream very tasty Overall Experience: My overall experience at Beanos Cabin was a 4.5/5. There is not much more the management could do to change this number in my mind. The remoteness of the restaurant is charming, I admit. But, do I really want to climb, hike, ride a horse, take a sleigh ride, bumpy tractor ride, or uncomfortable bus ride up every time I want to enjoy the cuisine? No. Yes it is fun but I would rather this restaurant be at the base of the mountain.

Yelp
The pork belly and truffle ravioli was excellent. The pork porterhouse, lamb and salmon were all good choices, and cranberry bread pudding was a table favorite Only issue was the extra 15% tip the server added to our bill. I originally added 20% gratuity to our bill but our server said he accidentally hit the "automatically add 15% gratuity charge to the bill" button when running the card. He mentioned he'd cancel the charge and re-run the card (I don't understand why he wouldn't he have done that in the first place). The service was good but not 35% tip good. Our slay ride was waiting and it was time to go so I let him keep the extra tip, which with 5 adult meals and 2 $100+ bottles of wine was substantial. The slay ride is a great experience, especially for those who do not get up onto the mountain to ski. All in all, a great place to have a meal with friends and/or family. Wonderful views, friendly service and great food.

Yelp
It was ok.. little over priced but you are on a mountain. Great service but food was so so. Didn't care for the portion sizes.

Yelp
What an amazing experience from start to finish! Food was delicious, music was great and they give you slippers to eat dinner with!! Woah!

Chad A.

Yelp
Arguably the best dining experience of my life. The snow cat ride up the mountain, followed by slippers offered upon entrance really set up an amazing experience. Our waiters were knowledgeable and friendly. Each course was delicious. The coconut-carrot soup, followed by a chopped kale salad, fois grass paired with a lovely sauternes, perfect prepared venison, & the sticky pudding were all wonderful.

Yelp
Booked at Beano w/ 2 kids & 4 adults. One of our guests is deaf in one ear and I mentioned that in my Open Table reservation. We were at the first seating at 5PM and were seated in the middle of the restaurant 2 tables away from the live music, as the group in front of us sat at a quieter corner table. I mentioned this to the hostess and they moved us a little further away, but honestly as soon as the restaurant filled up and the guitarist started, you could barely have a conversation with the person next to you it was so loud. It wasn't the kids in the restaurant it was the music and just the way the restaurant is situated. If you were planning on a quiet romantic evening, this is not the place. The sleigh ride and staff on the ride were amazing and my kids loved that. The restaurant itself is quite beautiful and has great views. The food was average at best with a set course meal. Way too much butter on most items, including the polenta and a main scallop dish with scallops the size of dimes. My son and husbands steak were both ordered medium and were both not even pink inside and were way over cooked. Very good bread selection with to die for corn bread. Our server was polite and answered all of our questions, but there were problems. 2 of the salads brought out were incorrect but were quickly changed. I asked for light dressing and it had the same as the guest next to me, too much. They brought our soup dish, no spoons, they left right after they set them down and then we had to flag someone to bring us spoons. It just wasn't a pleasant easy evening as we continued to have to flag down staff for this and that. But when they charge 18% on tables of 6 and up, we certainly felt like they had gotten their tip and did not need to work for it at all. Before we even got desert the hostess asked if we wanted to ride the next sleigh down, we said we were still eating and to ask later. Felt rushed to turn the table. Bummed.... won't return.
