Fort Lauderdale and Broward County’s 10 Best New Restaurants, 2024 | Eater Miami

"Call this under-the-radar, a hidden gem, or whatever similar saying you want, but you can get gooey homemade cookies for $2.50 a pop (or three for $6) at this Oakland Park shop. Options include the ginger and molasses-loaded Ginger Dream and the Death By Chocolate, which includes a stout beer base and heaps of Dutch Cocoa Chocolate. Pair your cookie(s) with a pour over coffee, made from beans that the owner sources directly from Colombia, Burundi, and other locals."

Impressed is an understatement. I have passed this place thousands of times and today I finally stopped. Parking is free and easy. As soon as you walk in the door, you are hit with the aroma of fresh cookies then greeted with a smile. Mike was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about coffee. They have hot and iced made fresh and they even know exactly which farm the beans came from. My coffee was flavorful and one of the best cups I’ve had in Florida. I also had a matcha pistachio cookie that was perfect. I wish I bought 10 more. The space is really cool. They have local artists who display their work and have a little bit of everything for sale. I can’t wait to return. Oh, and they’re dog friendly too!

I had the pleasure of trying Beans n Dough today! What a fabulous experience! The pour over coffee is flavorful, and the cookies are delicious! My favorites were the guava cookie and the white chocolate craisin cookie! Both were amazing! The owner is so friendly and they have set up a cool art gallery next door. I will definitely return!

This place is wonderful! The owner, Michael, is very personable and passionate about what he does. The coffee and cookies are absolutely delicious! I was delighted to learn that, on top of the amazing treats, they also offer painting classes, birthday parties, Spanish lessons, and more. Definitely a must-visit spot in the area!

Visiting from out of town and had the best experience here today! The coffee and cookies were so good and I would highly recommend coming here! We even got to learn about his dog Susie (who was in for the day serenading us from the back as we waited for our coffees). It was a very authentic and welcoming experience that you don’t get at most coffee shops!

I would come back for their guava cookies! They were amazing! The chocolate chip cookies were good too, and much better than many more expensive ones in the area. We didn’t love every cookie we tried, but that’s normal; our kids loved them all though! I also love that they use panela in their cookies, and the person behind the counter was lovely. It was a bit of a downer that they don’t serve espresso, but I prefer that to a place that does serve it and doesn’t make it well. A great espresso is a process that isn’t as simple as some places seem to think.

Super friendly staff. Hospitality is on another level. I felt welcomed the moment I walked in. I tried a pour over that was delicious. I also tried a few different cookies that were SO good!! Kudos to this spot. Keep up the great work. Definitely recommended!!

I absolutely love this place! Not only was my coffee amazing but the owner is very knowledgeable about coffee in general. He talked to be about the different kinds of coffee and where they come from. I had my granddaughter with me and he was extremely sweet to her. The cookies were to die for! We will definitely be back. Thank for everything Michael and Maria!
