We’ve been going to The Bear and Dragon for years, all the way back to when they were serving out of a trailer by the courthouse. This time we booked a 4 PM reservation since it was the only spot available. It was a quick 5-minute walk from our hotel on Whiskey Row, though the restaurant also has plenty of parking if you’re driving. We started with wine, cocktails, and the Caesar salad. I was a little skeptical at first because it had black olives, but it turned out to be delicious. My wife ordered the pot pie, and I went with the steak frites. My dish was outstanding, and while hers was flavorful, the rosemary came through a little strong by the end. Still very good overall. We wrapped up with the strawberry shortcake, which was OUTSTANDING! Service was excellent throughout the evening-our server gave thoughtful recommendations and really elevated the experience. Highly recommend this spot whether you’re looking for breakfast, coffee, or a great dinner in Prescott!

Google
I rarely give a restaurant 5 stars solely because my husband and I are into home cooking, gardening, farmers market, organic/non-gmo foods (both vegetables and meats)... so having the happy surprise and complete satisfaction is rare! Service was also equally satisfactory to the food adds extra points, and a wonderful cozy and warm atmosphere. Will be back for plenty more!

I got the chicken pot pie, which sounds plain and boring, but is was the best chicken pot pie I've ever had. The crust was light and fluffy and the filling was full of flavor. My wife had the shrimp gnocchi which was equally delicious. The presentation was beautiful and the seasoning was perfect.

We visited Bear and Dragon first for breakfast. They were busy and down a server and cook I believe. After waiting for over 30 minutes to be seated we left because we had to be somewhere and wouldn't have had time to wait longer and the extra wait for food to come out being down a cook. We decided to come back for dinner to celebrate my book loving daughter getting her license. The decor was really great, well thought through and executed. The space is really tight. When we came back for dinner with 5 members of our family of 6 there was no seating. We were unaware that reservations are recommended I would say especially for a larger family. There are not a lot of tables to accommodate a large family. We got a very small table outside on the patio which was not my first pick (I don't love cramped tables and eating with dogs that shed (just my preference)) but to sit inside would have been at least another hour in a half. That said, the staff was very friendly and would leave us a pitcher of water so we could keep our glasses full, and they have wonderful big umbrellas to help block the hot sun. The food was good. Most of their dishes are UK inspired and I love that. We got the cottage pie that came out straight from the oven. Needed some salt and pepper , our preference, but was good. Bangers and mash-the mashed potatoes were amazing. The bangers were wonderful and perfectly cooked. The shrimp and grits were creamy and the shrimp was very flavorful and great. The poulet frit was really nice. The chicken was wonderful. I would have loved to sit inside and would have liked to try breakfast so we may have to come back again for that. The check came in a book which was cool, keeping with the theme. The menu was also book themed and changes, it seems, quarterly or so. The parking lot is tight and for dinner there are no spaces left. People do park on the street as well. Overall, we had a pleasant experience at Bear and Dragon and loved the esthetics of the place.

This place is cozy, fun & unique. Breakfast is 8-11am and features great European & American style meals. The French omelet is my favorite! Lunch is 11-2pm and has wonderful sandwiches, paninis, salads and soup. They offer gluten free bread (which is actually very good) and alternative milks to their full espresso & tea bar. They also offer cocktails, wine and beer. I personally like the War & Peace or champagne and elderflower—especially for something refreshing on a hot summer day! My favorite non-alcoholic drinks are the fizzy lemon mint, or the iced mint & lavender tea. Dinner is 4-9pm Wednesday through Saturday. It is more fancy & reservation based—they have an awesome patio that is also dog friendly! They have an amazing cottage pie with local beef, an awesome chicken pot pie, and the rib-eye is one of the best I’ve ever had. They also have a fish special at dinner! Everything I have tried on the menu is tasty. Keep in mind, Sunday is reserved for a beautiful high tea service (reservations only). They also just started happy hour on Wednesday & Thursdays! The owners, Amanda and Chris, are wonderful and really created such an amazing place.

Google
The food is absolutely fantastic, and so was the coffee i grabbed. It may have been an off day as i've only been there once, but the service we received was lacking at best. Waited almost 15minutes for a coffee refill and just gave up and got bill instead. The place is themed like a library with English (UK) style breakfast with some good caffeine options. I would definitely recommend as I can't say for sure that this place has bad service, maybe it was just that day and isolated to us. Who knows?

Google
I absolutely fell in love with this adorably quaint and charming restaurant! The restaurant has a British inspired menu and a cool literary theme and is filled with lots of books, tea cups, and pictures of various authors. You can tell that the owner really worked hard on every detail to create a unique and delicious dining experience. The plush seats throughout the space make it very cozy and inviting. I had the full English breakfast aka the Tolkien while my husband had the Steinbeck, which is a classic American breakfast. Both were fantastic! The sausages were flavorful and the eggs cooked perfectly. The ciabatta toast was amazing! I’ll be dreaming about that meal for a while. The Sasquatch coffee was delicious and flavorful and we also tried the iced matcha latte which was sweetened perfectly. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. At the end of your meal they bring the check to you inside a book which I thought was a very cool touch. There was plenty of parking available in the lot. I only wish I had the chance to go back and have dinner there because the dinner menu also sounds amazing.

Google
Food: I ordered the Little Bear and added arugula and my partner ordered the Fire Drake and an americano. My sandwich was fantastic; the toasted bread really made it. My partner loved their americano and said their sandwich was pretty good, giving it a solid B. Service: Staff were very friendly and helpful with our order. We had time to explore the menu as it was our first time here and the food arrived quickly. Atmosphere: it’s not very loud and the inside is well illuminated with daylight. It’s easy to have a chat over lunch or a coffee without shouting.

Yelp
Went there today for breakfast with friends. Excellent! Tasty food, friendly service, & fair prices. Coffee was good, hot, & unlimited. Will return soon Best, John

Yelp
I don't get the hype of this place. The two stars is just for the ambiance alone. It's very cute outside, as well as having a nice patio. When we arrived for lunch it was a 45 minute wait. We heard good things, so we stuck it out. Eventually we were sat and saw that lunch was primarily sandwiches with chips. If you want meat on your sandwich, prices start at 14$. I got the griz, which was $16. It wasn't anything special...just a sandwich with seemingly a package of chips. For that price, you have to put your own spin on it besides a catchy name. A friend got the Sir Lancelot panini for $19 and said it had zero flavor besides horseradish. The prime rib was not memorable. Due to the small portions and overall flavor, it was extremely unsatisfying. We ended up grabbing more food after we left. The table next to us was amazed by the flavor of their sandwiches, but I really don't get it. I'm glad they were happy, but we wouldn't be back. It 100% wasn't worth it for us.

Yelp
Enjoyed another awesome breakfast, with my aunt and Sonic (service dog in training from Guide Dogs for the Blind). The food is great, and I adore the ambience. Special things from Amanda, who greeted us and understood the assignment!

Yelp
Great and very Instagram worthy spot to grab breakfast . We tried their London fog latte, and also their pecan pie latte, which were both very delicious, the pecan pie was pretty sweet and the London fog had a perfect creamy texture to it. The English breakfast was more of an Irish breakfast, but was still delicious nevertheless. We did have a slight issue with some egg shells cracked into our eggs, but the owner checked on us and offered to have the dish remade so all is well, accidents in the kitchen happen. I didn't ruin the meal for us so all is well. Parking was relatively easy and there's tons of shops and things to check out down by the courthouse area nearby if you need to get in some steps after the Hardy breakfast.

Yelp
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!! Such an incredibly unique and special place. They nailed the theming and also the food! We felt like we were transported into a cozy library cafe when we stepped in, and loved all of the small touches throughout. Especially the board books on the table for our toddler! My vegan sandwich was certainly one of the best I've ever eaten. We'll most definitely be back the next time we're in Prescott!

Yelp
Came here for brunch and it was absolutely adorable inside. We got seated pretty quick and the server was very kind. We got scones and a sandwich that had turkey , pesto and fresh mozzarella. It was delicious. We also ordered a hot chai tea, and I got a jasmine rose tea that was absolutely gorgeous and delicious. Indoor and outdoor seating available. And kid friendly. If you're in town, definitely come check this place out.

Yelp
We went to this restaurant for lunch-delicious. I ordered the Traveler sandwich which comes with ample kettle chips. This sandwich is basically a Caprese salad with pesto which was fantastic on a panini bun. The mushroom bisque is super rich --and needs a hit of sherry vinegar. A cup is plenty. The Shire Salad was also fantastic. Make reservations -this place is busy.

Yelp
I normally don't write reviews when I'm angry so this experience I am about to share happened a couple months ago. This last August to be exact. Me and my other half stopped in for lunch and thought it was a safe bet because of all the glowing reviews and even some of our friends say that this their favorite restaurant in town. We both ordered the prime rib Panini sandwich and we're very disappointed. It was like a cold piece of sliced fat between two pieces of bread. Neither of us could even finish the one bite we took so we asked for the check. The waiter saw that we just got our food and were now asking for the check. So he asked what was wrong? We told him we just weren't very happy with the meal and just wanted to pay the check and leave. He kept Asking what was not to our satisfaction. I explained that I'm not one to complain and definitely not one to make a scene. I just want pay the check and leave. The waiter then took my credit card, handed it to the manager, and explained that there was a problem with our food. The manager then continues to have a conversation with another customer for about 15 minutes holding my credit card so we cannot leave. Now I am getting pissed. He finally ends the conversation with the other customer and comes over to our table. He was fairly rude and aggressive asking what we didn't like about the meal so I told him. He then came up with some excuses of why the sandwich was served cold. I then explained that the use of the word Panini in the menu infers that there is a heated grill that squeezes the sandwich as it grills it. This is not a cold sandwich as described. On top of the fact there was more fat than meat in our sandwich. He then explained that he can only deduct one of the sandwiches from the bill in a very condescending way. I didn't ask to deduct anything. I just wanted to pay the bill and get the F out of here. Even two months later, I regret not just getting up and walking out.

Yelp
This place is so charming! My girlfriend and I got stranded a couple nights in Prescott and decided to grab brunch on the way back home. Filled with books and charm, the interior is inviting and eclectic. The food was delicious, and I enjoyed my latte, too. Our waitress was so sweet, when she noticed us crying she offered care and when we left she gave us a big hug. I will say, the music didn't match the vibe. For the lord of the rings vibe something more fantasy would have pleased me as opposed to mainstream music haha. I would def visit again when I am back in town.

Yelp
Such yummy food, great service, fun atmosphere. Highly recommend the scones, clotted cream & jam.

Yelp
Had time on my hands, an empty tummy, and a gift card so I headed to Bear & Dragon. It was early so I was seated right away. The hostess was charming and my server was very kind and timed her check ins with me perfectly. The latte was fantastic as well as the food. The seating area was like sitting in someone's house in Europe. What a lovely experience. Wish I hadn't waited so long to try this place.

Yelp
Had breakfast here on a Friday morning and are so glad we picked this restaurant! The owners did a great job with the decor and leaning into the literary theme while creating a cozy cafe atmosphere. Despite being busy, the service was great. I loved the variety of their menu. I had the French omelette, my partner had the Steinbeck breakfast and we shared gluten free scones. The scones with jam and clotted cream were delicious and I so appreciate that they offered a gluten free version. We also ordered lattes. They were beautiful and flavor was great, I prefer my drinks a bit warmer so next time I stop in I'll ask for extra hot but overall an amazing meal and a fun option for breakfast, lunch, coffee or afternoon tea.

Yelp
Actually saw a reel about this place on instagram, planned ahead and got reservations. When we entered we were greeted by a gal (we wondered if she was in fact the dragon) who was rather grumpy when we asked if we could be seated earlier than our reservation. Ultimately we were seated early, and said dragon was very pleasant as we headed out. The ambiance is somewhere between library, pub and gastropub. We were tempted to pull a book off the shelf and read it, but we're afraid said dragon would slay us, so don't know if that's allowed. The seating is a combo of loveseats and wooden chairs & the walls are decorated in portraits of authors. There was a sideboard in our room that displayed a copy of Tom Clancy's The Bear and the Dragon (we assume this is the owner's favorite). We got cocktails because the names were so cute- I got the harvest margarita and my companion got the war and peace. Both were tasty but the HM was amazing! (Only downside as a sipper is that the cinnamon sugar rim starts to melt and makes the glass very sticky). We also got a starter, the chips and curry. The chips were well crisped and the curry was delightful, but not spicy if that's what you're looking for. My companion got the cottage pie which came in a large single serve casserole. She says it was sublime- extremely creamy mashed and perfect proportions of ingredients. I had the chicken special- a chicken leg and thigh fried without breading, with mashed and sautéed spinach on the side. For dessert it was cherry crumble with ice cream. The crumble had just enough saltiness to it, and the ice cream was very rich and ... well... creamy. The cherries were ok but tasted like they came out of a jar. The check comes tucked into the pages of a book. Nice touch. All in all, a lovely spot, but we both agree that they could commit more heavily to the literary theme.

Yelp
The food was delicious and very interesting for sure! The French omelette had an amazing texture and taste topped off with the cherry tomatoes. The kids breakfast was also really good. The bread had a great texture and the bacon was literally perfect. The Jane Austen latte was superb. 100% recommend. Service was great and the staff was very friendly and engaging. The vibe at this place was very unique and the decor was lovely. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Ok I love this place. I come every single time I'm in town, the food is always amazing and the coffee and tea selections are awesome. I definitely prefer their breakfast to their lunch menu but lunch was still really good! I got the firedrake and I ended up asking for extra jalapeño jelly because that stuff is insanely delicious. I seriously could have just eaten it straight! The only complaint I have is today our server was pretty unfriendly. Usually we have great service but I don't know, maybe he was having a bad day. It wasn't bad enough to knock a star off though because every other time I have been here they have been super nice. Also I love the book theme inside. It's so cute! Easily my new favorite restaurant in Prescott!
google avatar

TimMarcy H.

Yelp
First time here. I like the vibe. The food was good but not amazing but in part that may just be my personal taste. My wife got an iced matcha latte and she loves it. Service was friendly. Cool theme with books and art of authors. Nice place to talk and relax with your food.
google avatar

CG L.

Yelp
Such a cute spot, very popular & had to wait or sit outside (we sat outside) & so glad we stayed, everything was wonderful & the service was excellent. The old, vintage plates were such a nice touch. We had lunch & cappuccinos. The sandwiches were delicious & loved the cappuccino art!
google avatar

Renz N.

Yelp
This place did not disappoint! The ambiance was great! The decor and vibe was phenomenal! And the food was well worth every penny. Highly recommend!! Our server was the nicest person and the host checked in on us which was a great touch.
google avatar

Maria N.

Yelp
Came to this cute little place because I saw it on TikTok. Wasn't disappointed, we came here after dinner for dessert but I didn't know reservation was needed. The staff were so accommodating and we were seated in the patio which is so nice! I got a honey latte and my son got the Mexican chocolate latte. They were able to remake it because of the nutmeg. But it was spicy but he did try new things. We ordered the chocolate sheet cake and it came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. And you guessed it delicious! There's enough parking so that's not hassle.
google avatar

Marissa D.

Yelp
Me and a couple of gf's had a reservation. We were greeted by the most lovely lady EVER. She had adorable white boots. She got our silverware out of a cool drawer and gave us our menu on a clip board. The fellow who took us outside welcomed us to a nice table. There was live music and he played really well! We ordered the cottage pie (similar to Shepard pie) it came out HOT! It was delicious! Avoid if you don't like cooked full cloves of garlic. Totally recommend for a date night/small gathering.
google avatar

Monica B.

Yelp
Location is good, the atmosphere unique. If you want a different experience this could be it. With regards to the food ok, portions are small which seems to be the trend these days at many restaurants . The English breakfast was large and had typical English breakfast food, the men were happy with that.
google avatar

Tracie O.

Yelp
We visited for afternoon tea. The tea was disappointing. The tea was very, very weak, the sugar bowl needed to be refreshed because the spoon was caked with sugar, the bread on the sandwiches was stale, the clotted cream was rock hard and tasted stale, and our waitress seemed to forget we existed. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. The two stars is because it is cute inside and book themed and the menu was creative but it sure didn't live up to the hype.
google avatar

Donnelly N.

Yelp
I tried this for lunch today. This restaurant is so adorable and cozy. You feel like you've been transported to England. There are books and China and other eclectic decor. My cappuccino was delicious. The shire salad was tasty and the pesto on the traveler (caprese) panini was delicious. The mushroom bisque was very heavy. I think I would have eased up a bit on the cream and added in a splash of sherry and it would have been perfect. They were very busy and it took a bit longer than I would have liked for our server to bring us water and say hello but I would definitely go back.
google avatar

Maggie H.

Yelp
Wish I could give 6 stars. The food, service, coffee and drinks are amazing. The ambience is like nothing else in Prescott. It's like walking into a story book and you're part of scene out of Harry Potter. My favorite is the Griz sandwich. Nom nom nom Perfect for a lunch date with the friends, a romantic dinner or a cozy coffee on the patio, with the sun and most AMAZING breakfast ever.
google avatar

Food C.

Yelp
Food was awesome, staff was awesome. Library meets coffee meets living room. Quaint and comfortable. I don't think I'd take kids there, but outdoor seating could accommodate that. I'd totally go back and I'd order the same again (French omelet)
google avatar

Tim G.

Yelp
The prices are to high for the menu. It is good and the service was fine, but the prices turn me off. I probably would not go back. But it is a nice environment that is not special enough to command the price.
google avatar

Rachelle A.

Yelp
Five stars across the board. This place is a gem. Cute- quaint - quality! It's like enjoying your fabulous meal at the library!! We opted for 'usually on the menu' items and throughly enjoyed the chicken pot pie and the fish and chips. Our server was attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The prices were very reasonable. I'm looking forward to our next visit.

Yelp
Lovely quant restaurant with delicious food! Went for breakfast and got poached eggs with ciabatta avocado and honey drizzle. Of course had to try the scones with clotted cream- Delicious ! The inside is adorable with books and writing/ author decor. The service is impeccable, so kind and attentive. Owners are so inviting and welcoming. A must stop if in the area or if not in the area still worth the drive ! They also have lunch and dinner but breakfast is the best !
google avatar

Julz G.

Yelp
Easy parking, charming, living room/library-like atmosphere, friendly, attentive staff, delicious food. My friend and I split a Smaug - brie cheese, sun-dried, tomato, pesto sauce, and other yummy things I don't remember. It came with plenty of potato chips and was a perfect size for sharing. Will definitely go back and try some of their other Panini sandwiches.

Rafael H.

Yelp
The food was tasty and the service was great. Fun English cafe. A must if you're in town. 5 stars
google avatar

Darrelyn N.

Yelp
This is a must go!!!! If I could give this 10 stars I would. I met some friends here and we all had scones, coffee, and tea (I recommend the London Fog) Wednesday had the French Omelet (omg!) which was rich but light; the Forager; and the Tolkien's Breakfast. Just a quaint, cozy restaurant with amazing food, and friendly service. Would go back again next time I'm traveling near here.
google avatar

Daniel W.

Yelp
stopped by for an early lunch on a Thursday. Pretty busy but no wait. The dining area was cozy and there were many bookcases with books, teapots, pictures, paintings and other homey items. I ordered the Dragons Den panini with bacon, cheddar, pickles, sauerkraut and a side of chips. MexiCoke naturally. The bread was crispy and the filling was tasty. It was good but pricey. $13 for the small sandwich and $4.75 for the coke.

Mark S.

Yelp
Stopped by the Bear & Dragon in Prescot for breakfast on our way back home to Phoenix. We were seated right away and we ordered within 5 minutes after being seated. My wife ordered the French omelet (looked yummy) and I ordered the Tolkien breakfast " Full English Breakfast". Service was quick, the waitstaff was friendly, food was amazing and the ambiance was quaint. 5 stars all around.
google avatar

Emma T.

Yelp
I am eating their afternoon tea. I have come here twice for afternoon tea and loved it each time. The Hogwarts portion of food doesn't seem like a lot, but it's very filling. The dishes don't all come out at once, they are timed nicely. It would be nice if their menu labeled if the tea is decaf or not. Seating is limited so make your reservation in advance!
google avatar

Kayla C.

Yelp
The cutest brunch place for book lovers! Food were delicious too! My boyfriend and I were recommended to go this place. As someone who enjoyed books and vintage/antiques the vibes were immaculate! Service was great as well!
google avatar

Jasmine M.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing place to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We arrived during their lunch menu. We waited about 30-40 minutes for a table. We walked next door to the antique shop while we waited. We ordered lattes, soup, and sandwiches. Everything came out extremely timely. We loved our server and the cafe's concept. Super enjoyable time and we will be coming back!!

Melva B.

Yelp
Quaint & friendly. Needs to be in bigger building so tables can be spread out more for a little more privacy. Not to much though, needs to keep its cozy feeling.

Peggy B.

Yelp
It only is this a charming eatery it's also delicious. Have had tasty sandwiches for brunch and delicious mushroom risotto.
google avatar

Tina H.

Yelp
INCREDIBLE! We sat on the patio and it was amazing - they even give every customer a blanket to cozy up with! They also have patio heaters to keep you toasty. They were very busy and we had to wait quite a while before we even got our drinks, but I would still like to give them a perfect review because everything was just so amazing that they deserve a little grace! Coffee drinks were perfection and food was just so gorgeously presented and impeccable taste! Also to note our waitress was so friendly, and everyone there kept coming up to say hello to our puppy!

John L.

Yelp
Great place with excellent ambiance. Very convenient to Downtown. Very tasty food - well above usual! - with friendly helpful staff. Favorite breakfast place for some of us - super delicious! Now if only I can get them to add Black Pudding @ Breakfast to suit my Scotsman's taste? I look forward to exploring other mealtimes, including intriguing Happy Hour.

Yelp
We came to Prescott for the day and started with breakfast here and it was incredible! Three of us got the avocado toast and another Tolkien's breakfast. Portions were great for the price and the coffee was great. We hiked around Watson Lake and tootled around town. When trying to figure out where to go for dinner, we remembered Bear & Dragon had a dinner menu. So we came back!! It did not disappoint! Rene is a fantastic server and gave us great recommendations. The cheese platter, dinner, and cocktails were incredible, and the live music, table lanterns, and heaters made the porch so cozy and beautiful. We will for sure be back!!
google avatar

Tiff R.

Yelp
Loved this spot for the fresh food and very cozy, intimate and interesting decor... had to return for lunch and dinner back to back. Would love to try breakfast and high tea. The pesto is top notch and really enjoyed the mushroom bisque. The teas with honey were a delight! My favorite meal in Prescott hands down.
google avatar

Tracy A.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast, when walking in you're greeted by a very warm inviting ambiance with lots of books on shelves. We got seated and looked over the menu. Bobbie ordered the scones with lemon curd. I ordered the soft scrambled toast. Her scones were soft and creamy and the curd paired perfectly with them. My soft scrambled eggs was served over chibatta. The eggs were expertly done soft but not runny and the toast had a great flavor. Overall this was a fantastic breakfast.
google avatar

Mariel G.

Yelp
I've been here a handful of times! It's a more intimate setting so be prepared to have people a little closer together. I don't mind and the restaurant was full of happy friendly people. The food was fresh and i enjoyed getting a different variety than we normally have in this area!Everything tastes great but i especially Love the french omelet i'd definitely return for that dish alone. I appreciate the portions as well i always leave full.
google avatar

Judy A.

Yelp
The charming environment is only outdone by the great food and service. The creative names of the items leads to a trail of culinary delight!

Yelp
Service was good. We experienced Prompt seating and friendly service. I tried the Lancelot sandwich. It was good, but next time I get it I'll add more horseradish, since I like to feel the burn with my roast beef. They have a reasonably large beer selection. Didn't have any as we are traveling, The cream of mushroom soup is good. There's a bunch of paintings all over the walls, mostly of older white guys. Not sure who they are, but one looks like Bill Murray in a Napoleanic era uniform. The dishes are all literary references from Tolkien and other authors. It's a pretty cool place. Worth coming back for lunch some time.
google avatar

Tiffany K.

Yelp
I picked this restaurant because of the ambiance as it has adorable literary and old world England decor and vibes. But the British Scones & Clotted Cream with lemon curd was sooooo gooooood. Get that. 4 stars only because as cute as the chairs were, we had 2 people in a single large chair so it was a little hard to eat
google avatar

Kris L.

Yelp
We tried dinner for the first time. It was a Saturday night and we didn't have a reservation, but only waited 30 minutes to get a seat on the patio where no reservations are required. The halibut was excellent, brought in fresh that morning and melted in the mouth. It was served with sugar peas and almonds with a wine sauce reduction. Hubby loved the chicken pot pie. The atmosphere outside was very pleasant and when the sun started going down they brought out individual table lamps which gave a romantic glow. The service was also impeccable.

Yelp
I'm giving the 3 stars for ambience. We met friends there (we had a 5 pm reservation for our party of 6) We were seated promptly. Unfortunately the table was near the front door so my husband and I got the full very cold draft as people came and went. (A screen might help). I had the mushroom soup which was decent...lacked seasoning. I then had the steak frites. The steak was cooked well but not seasoned at all. The frites were almost steak cut fries with a heavy seasoning on them. I was expecting thinner fries as it typically served with steak frites and would not have had them had I known (I'm picky about my fries). The spinach side was also under seasoned. Unfortunately it was the same with my husband's chicken pot pie. He said he didn't enjoy it was it was so bland it was almost tasteless. I want to come back to try their English Breakfast (I'm a Brit). Maybe that's their ace in the hole?! At 7pm after it took some time to get drinks and food we were hurried along as they had another party to seat. Some of us were still enjoying the last of our drinks. Didn't appreciate the press to leave. On paper a great looking place and menu. The ambience is on point for sure!! We will give it another go.
