"Bearcat looks like any trendy restaurant that opened in the mid-to-late 2010s: huge windows, succulents all around, somewhat industrial decor, and a neutral color scheme. But it’s the breakfast dishes that make this place special, not the numerous jade plants. Go for the housemade chia pudding and the Cat Momma biscuit with spicy lemon butter crab sauce. The biscuits are soft, warm, and some of the butteriest on this guide. The vegan food here is also a highlight, particularly the ranchero bowl filled with black beans, avocado, and salsa, topped with creamy cashew crema and slightly spicy ranchero sauce. This place is a hidden gem! It’s probably one of my favorite coffee shops in Williamsburg. The ambiance is amazing, and I love that they’re open until 10pm. Its perfect for working but for friend dates too. The coffee is good but the real winner is the avocado toast, easily the best one I’ve had! The only downside is that if you’re coming here to work keep in mind that only some of the tables have access to plugs.

Chill place to hang out in general. I haven't come here on a more active night, but this place is great during the day, especially for laptop workers in the area. It's not too crowded or noisy. They're starting up a taco Tuesdays so I'll definitely check that out as well.

The perfect coffee shop? I was in search of an East Williamsburg cafe that had it all - space to spread out, comfortable seating, late hours, friendly baristas with interesting taste in music, well-priced drinks, outlets, a nice bathroom, good lighting, appealing design, laid-back vibe - and I found it in Bearcat. Highly recommend.

a good place to work and drink coffee, very nice design and atmosphere. good choice of tea and coffee, friendly staff. the day I was there the kitchen was closed, so I advise you to know in advance if you can have breakfast there or have lunch there

I've been to this place a few times, Everytime I go the coffee is always great but I can't say the same for the food. I wasn't impressed. There are a lot of great choices in the area for food. Once again the coffee is great and it is a nice place to sip on a coffee and get some work done.

I was so excited to find this place when I moved to the neighborhood. It has a cozy but energizing atmosphere, and not to mention a heck of a good cup of coffee. However, I was so SAD when I found out they officially closed their kitchen!!!! The food was hands down the best part about this place. I even went up to the front counter and told them that the bread they made tasted exactly like my nana’s homemade bread - and that isn’t a compliment to be taken lightly. It was a piece of home away from home. #bringbacknanasbread
