I tried their matcha & chocolate cream puffs for the first time and It didn’t disappoint. I’ve never been a fan of sweets, but these were good. My favorite was the matcha cream puff. Great Japanese cream puffs, not overly sweet!

Wow, I haven't had Beard Papa's in a long time. We were visiting family and they bought a box to share and just a few bites were enough for me. The normal flavor cream is not too sweet, but there is just a LOT of cream inside. Once in a while, this is a treat. But it's definitely not healthy to eat this all the time!

Beard Papa’s in Cupertino is a great spot if you’re craving something sweet but not overly sugary. Their puffs are soft, fresh, and have just the right amount of crisp on the outside. The cream inside is smooth, light, and not too sweet, which makes them super easy to enjoy without feeling heavy. The staff is friendly, the shop is always clean, and they have a nice variety of flavors that change from time to time, so there’s always something new to try. It’s the kind of treat you’ll keep coming back for.

I was excited to try Beard Papa’s for the first time, but unfortunately I walked out before ordering. As I was waiting in line, I noticed the employee helping the customers ahead of me take their payment and handle cash. What really concerned me was that without changing gloves he immediately turned around and started preparing their order, touching the pastries and adding the filling, using the same gloves he had just used to handle money. This is a major hygiene issue, and I didn’t feel comfortable eating anything after seeing that. I understand that mistakes can happen, but food safety should be a top priority, especially when gloves are involved. I hope management addresses this with proper training and procedures, because it’s something that could easily turn customers away.

Tried the mini puffs in both vanilla and chocolate flavors, and they were absolutely delightful! The filling was rich and creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness. The puffs themselves were super fresh, with a light, crisp crunch on top that added a perfect texture contrast. A great little treat for dessert lovers – definitely worth trying!

Google
We loved these cream puffs and would definitely go again! We got the original and cookie with vanilla filling because we have never had this dessert before. We were worried the cream would be heavy but it was very light! The cream inside reminded us of melted ice cream but fluffy if that makes sense. It's a light dessert, definitely order one per person.

Google
I got mango, chocolate, and vanilla. To me , chocolate was meh, it can be better. I had lots of hope in the mango flavor when I saw it, and especially "limited weekend only" sign made it extra special... I was so disappointed with my first bite. It tasted like raw / unripe mango. No good. Not smooth. They should have used ripe yellow manila mango, even for a higher price. Vanilla flavor was the best of all. I also like their cookie crunch puff because it was freshly baked , so it tasted great. Not too sweet either, and crunchy on top. If you go here, recommend to stick with vanilla flavor and cookie crunch if you like.

Google
Long story short it's really the pricing. The cream puff soze were fine, and the flavor was decent too. But the prices were beyond what I'd expect for something like this. If it's worth it is up to how much you want cream puffs.

Yelp
Beard Papa is such a treat! The staff were friendly and accommodating, and in-store they have more flavors than the app shows (the app also has weird ordering time limits that don't exist in person--definitely could improve that). The matcha filling is a standout--smooth, rich, and delicious. Everything I tried was tasty, nicely packaged, and fresh. The plaza location is nice, with other food options nearby for a little stroll. I loved being able to mix and match fillings and toppings--makes it fun to customize. Hard to pick a favorite, but the matcha cream puff and matcha topping top my list. Eclairs are also excellent. Great spot for customizable cream puff desserts!

Yelp
Beard Papa's Cupertino - The Best Cream Puffs in the Bay Area I have been visiting Beard Papa's in Cupertino since they first opened, and it continues to be one of my favorite dessert spots in the South Bay. The cream puffs here showcase true Japanese artistry, with light, flaky shells and silky custard fillings that taste fresh and balanced. Since I prefer desserts that are not overly sweet, I usually stick with the classics, but I also appreciate how they offer creative seasonal shells and fillings to cater to different palates. Every shell is baked fresh each morning, and each puff is filled to order, which makes all the difference in taste and texture. The store also offers a simple loyalty program tied to your phone number, plus a complimentary cream puff on your birthday with purchase. It is important to note that these cream puffs are best enjoyed the same day. After about 12 hours, the shell can lose its crispness and the flavor and texture shift, so keep that in mind if you plan to buy a half-dozen or a dozen at a discount. Must-Try Desserts at Beard Papa's Cupertino Mini Puffs (6 pieces) ($7.35) - 4.8/5 Perfect for sharing, with a satisfying shell-to-cream ratio. I always choose the vanilla filling, which never disappoints. Original Shell with Vanilla Filling ($4.40) - 5/5 The signature choice and my favorite. The puff has a golden, crunchy exterior with a soft croissant-like interior, and the vanilla custard has just the right level of creaminess and viscosity. A flawless pairing. Original Shell with Green Tea Filling ($4.40) - 4/5 For green tea fans, this filling has a noticeable matcha flavor mixed with the vanilla cream. While it is refreshing, I personally prefer the classic vanilla, as the texture of the green tea version is thicker and richer. Original Shell with Chocolate Filling ($4.40) - 3/5 The chocolate filling is bold in cacao flavor, but the texture is the thickest compared to the others, and it leaves the mouth a little dry. Worth trying if you love chocolate, though not my favorite. Crème Brûlée with Vanilla Filling ($5.40) - 5/5 A delightful twist on a classic dessert. The caramelized top adds a delicate crunch that pairs beautifully with the creamy vanilla custard. I always grab one of these if they are available. Chocolate Fondant ($4.90) - 2/5 This was a miss for me. The cake was dry and too rich in flavor. Beard Papa's is best enjoyed for its cream puffs, and I recommend skipping the other baked goods. Final Thoughts Beard Papa's in Cupertino remains a true gem for dessert lovers. While the ambiance of the shop feels a bit less polished than it once did, the quality of the cream puffs has never wavered. The fact that this location survived the pandemic speaks to the loyalty of its customers and the excellence of its products. If you are searching for the best cream puffs in Cupertino or the Bay Area, this is the place to go.

Yelp
As much as I would like to give this place a five star rating, I really can't. I can't for a couple of reason. Reason number one, their website is incomplete to what they have to offer at the store. I arrived at 11:05 AM this morning Expecting to order what was shown on the website. However, the store had more than what is showing on the website. But what I really didn't like is that, yes, you can place the order on the website, however, the earliest you can pick up is at 1:30 PM. Unfortunately, my lunch is around noon time and I cannot pick up in the afternoon close to my off shift hour. I had to drive and spend my lunch hour just to pick up these cream puffs. They are lucky, the cream puffs. Are that good for me to sacrifice my lunch hour just to pick them up. Very few food establishments provide such quality items that I will make an effort to pick them up during my lunch hour. Quality of food: A Quality of service: B Price: $-$$ (depending on how much you can resist their cream puffs lol)

Yelp
What a cute cream puff shop. I was helped pretty quickly upon entering the store. The they had a ton of cream puff shells stacked up and ready to be filled. I ordered a box of 6 for a friend's birthday and I decided to order one for myself. I tried the eclair cream puff with vanilla filling. It was delicious. They are very generous with the filling. The staff were very helpful and the shop is nice and clean on the inside. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
I had never heard of Beard Papa's and was recommended by a friend when I was on the hunt for a sweet treat. I didn't expect it to be all about cream puffs and I'm so glad I gave it a try. They offer large, freshly filled cream puffs in a range of flavors: from the classic vanilla to unique options like matcha and creme brûlée. The pastry shell is crispy, and incredibly satisfying. It looks thicker than it is--I was very happy with the puff to filling ratio. We tried the original, matcha, and creme brûlée, and all were so good. The matcha puff had a white chocolate matcha dip on the outside and a full matcha filling inside--bold, not too sweet, and delicious. The creme brûlée had a caramelized sugar layer inside the puff, tucked right on top of the creamy filling. Service was quick and friendly, and I love that they fill the puffs fresh to order. As for the space--it's pretty, but there are a few small aesthetic details that felt a little off or overlooked. Nothing major, but with just a bit more attention to design, it could really elevate the overall vibe. There also wasn't any indoor seating--but plenty of outdoor options. That said, the cream puffs speak for themselves. I'll definitely be back to try more flavors!

Yelp
They were out of most things on a Sunday at about 1pm. We settled for a custard/vanilla cream puff. There were only two employees working. The matcha spot next door had a long line. Beard papa's seemed to be the place of their overflow...but they weren't as prepared and shouldn't have been out of most of their products early. $3-5 per cream puff. It was fresh, but there wasn't anything to write home about.. I've had better cream puffs elsewhere.

Yelp
Mmm, some delicious french cream puffs! My second time here and both times I've had a pleasant experience. It's a small little shop with minimal decorations. The service here is fast. We ordered 10 cream puffs and it came out super quick. Bears Papa offers different filling flavors and even the shell too. My favorite combination was the matcha shell with matcha filling! We also tried chocolate and original, which were super tasty too.

Yelp
We went to Bear Papa's yesterday. We've tried Beard Papa's back home but only went a few times. We didn't think it was that great. We were kind of skeptical at first since the ones we had in the past were so-so. They had a lot of different choices for the fillings and shells. We got one strawberry shortcake with strawberry cream inside, original with cream, and original with chocolate. The cream puffs were so good. They had a lot of cream in it. I enjoyed my strawberry shortcake one. I tried my daughter's one with the chocolate cream and it was good too. I just looked it up and it looks like they don't have a Beard Papa's in Hawaii anymore, sad face. I'll just have to come and check out Beard Papa's when we come back up again.

Yelp
Yummy! Haven't been in years and decided to go in for a treat after picking up a few groceries next door. The two gentlemen working were friendly and greeted us with a smile. We ordered the mini puffs to go and chose vanilla and chocolate. I wanted to try green tea but you have to order two of same flavor and I just wanted one. The gentleman graciously gave me an extra one, green tea. It's a quaint little shop with minimum decor. It would be nice if they had a few chairs to rest weary feet as we wait for our order but it does go quick. We waited less than ten minutes as there were two ahead of us. The mini cream puffs are the right size for a little treat. They are filled with fresh cream and have a nice soft crunch on the outside. Oishi! Highly recommend.

Yelp
I am a big proponent of cream puffs from beard papa's and my SO loves this place, so he brought me here to try out their Mashle collab. He got a t-shirt and the 6 cream puffs box set that went with each character. We quickly went home, elated to sink our teeth into the cream puffs. We must have come at a bad time as the cream puffs were not made to the same quality as they usually were, as they tasted a bit overcooked and each had wayyyyy too much cream.

Yelp
Puffed pastry with creamy centers? Sign me up! I dropped by after visiting Daiso to pick up some stuff for work. The smell of fresh pastry was just too irresistible. It was nice and warm inside the shop. I ordered and before I was even done paying, my order was ready! The mini puffs with chocolate were enjoyed before I even left the plaza - there was some music from a performance that invited me to sit and eat the delicious puffs. The shells were nice and crispy - there was an awesome crunch to them. The inside chocolate filling was yummy - a bit runny since I didn't eat them all right away, but great tasting none the less. Overall, a great place for some dessert. They also have ice cream puffs, but I didn't think I should have that for breakfast... At least not today, anyway.

Yelp
Beard papa is usually my go to spot for crème puffs but my last visit left me feeling a little frustrated. I kept repeating my order to the cashier "Original Shell with green tea filling." But the cashier kept mistaking it as another item with green tea. I would understand if this was a misunderstanding but the attitude I got treated me as if I didn't know what I was talking about. Absolutely rude.
google avatar

Yelp
It was dry and the custard was too sweet. Unfortunately one of those things where it tastes better in Asia. They were out of the matcha custard when I went. Fast service, though!
google avatar

Yelp
Lots of great flavors to choose from! It was fun trying a bite from each of the puffs. I thought it was all a hit.

Yelp
Tried out Beard Papa's original cream puff with vanilla - it was delicious with a lot of filling. My mom really enjoyed it. Service was really quick.

Yelp
Grabbed the original cream puff while waiting for Izumi Matcha next door. The puff was flaky and light, with a cold, pudding-like filling that wasn't too sweet. Super refreshing and just the right size for a quick treat. Will be back to try more!

Yelp
Beard Papa's in Cupertino is a delight for cream puff lovers, combining high quality ingredients with exceptional service. The store maintains a clean and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff is courteous and efficient, often offering suggestions to newcomers. Their signature choux pastries are perfectly crisp on the outside and generously filled with light, flavorful custards that strike a harmonious balance of sweetness. Seasonal flavors and rotating specials add variety, keeping the menu exciting for returning customers. Whether you're grabbing a quick dessert or treating friends and family, Beard Papa's Cup stands out as a go-to destination for indulgent, freshly made cream puffs. We ordered mini puffs with vanilla and chocolate . Keep in mind there is good amount of cream and keep in mind to have paper napkins handy :)

Yelp
Love this place! Everything I've tried has been consistently delicious Small store with big, fast flavor.
google avatar

Yelp
I love fresh cream puffs and Beard Papa's is just consistently great. This location doesn't really have seating indoors besides a couple stools near the window, but there are a ton of picnic tables under the trees outside if you are interested enjoying your treats right away. The pricing is a little high, but if you're planning to splurge on a sweet, this one is great. Personally, I think the original shell and cookie crunch shell with just the regular old vanilla filling will be the best combo. They fill the cream puffs after you order, so the shell is still a little crisp and the custard is insanely smooth with flecks of real vanilla in there, which I really appreciate. If you do purchase a bunch of them, be warned that cream puffs really are not a dessert that holds well. You've got to eat them within an hour or two max as the cream will add moisture to the shell and you just end up with odd mush that is still fantastic in flavor, but texturally a mess.
google avatar

Valerie M.

Yelp
My husband and I have never had these puffs and we were very impressed! First off I was in and out of there with my fresh puffs within minutes! The young lady behind the counter told me that the two most popular flavors were the chocolate & original puffs with vanilla filling and I am so glad I tried them they were very yummy! On the outside they are a nice light crisp and the vanilla filling while not tasting super strongly of vanilla gave me egg tart vibes which was soooooo good. The filling was not too heavy at all and I didn't feel gross after eating them the way you sometimes do with custard. If you want a light treat i definitely recommend!
google avatar

HanNa P.

Yelp
Take out puffs. Workers were okay just meh, bunch of high schoolers it seemed. The southern california location is better. It just isn't the same as there.I got 8 Creme puffs. 5 Original puff, 1 Matcha (Green tea) puff, 1 Chocolate puff and 1 Cookie puff. Cremes we filled were Choco, Vanilla, Green tea and Mint. The Chocolate creme was my favorite. Just enough sweetness. The Match shell was fresh but the others we ordered seemed old. Flavors were not bad The menu doesn't show the current fillings. Prices aren't good for what it is. Parking lot in front
google avatar

Mary W.

Yelp
It was good but they were out of everything except the OG puff and, vanilla and chocolate filling. It was disappointing, when they only had these plain flavors .
google avatar

Heather N.

Yelp
Order: Half a dozen Each would have been $4.10 All shells are sort of crumbly and I don't like making a mess so I think I'll pass on shells next time. I only tried the green tea and vanilla fillings for the most part and I think they're about the same. They're not too sweet and have a nice texture. The green tea taste is super subtle. The cream puff itself is perfect. Crispy on the outside, nice and soft on but inside. Strawberry Shortcake Shell with Green Tea Filling -can't really taste the strawberry shortcake shell Green Tea Shell with Vanilla Filling Honey Butter Shell with Vanilla Filling Green Tea Shell with Green Tea Filling Dulce De Leche Shell with Vanilla Filling -surprisingly good. The caramel doesn't overpower anything. Honey Butter Shell with Green Tea Filling Favorite: Honey butter shell with Vanilla filling I just really like honey and the vanilla filling complimented it more than the matcha Service: Nothing too specific to say here. Service was good. There's no seating inside but there is seating outside. The store was nice, warm, and quiet while I waited.
google avatar

Cathy J.

Yelp
Okay fiiiiine, I guess I understand why Beard Papa always has a line in the evenings. I would rather come back in the afternoon than stand in the line, but the puffs are delicious. They're not too sweet and deliver the perfect ratio of crunchy pastry shell to custard. I don't even really like cream puffs, but apparently all the ones I've eaten before are inferior. I had a strawberry shortcake with mango, and a chocolate eclair with vanilla. The star of the show was the vanilla filling, and the specks of vanilla bean made it feel legit. I'm already planning on ordering some as a treat during Teacher Appreciation Week.

Yelp
i went to get matcha that is right next door and then i came here because i've seen this place on instagram. it was empty and very quiet but the two girls that were working were very nice and informative. i don't exactly remember the name of the cream puff but i believe it's honey butter?? don't quote me. i got it with vanilla filling and i also got the cookie crunch with matcha filling. both were 10/10 and i would definitely come back to order more. the parking was very easy since it's in a plaza. i would recommend coming here for dessert if you're coming from cupertino main street

Yelp
We were having lunch close by and decided to stop by Beard Papas to grab some cream puffs for dessert. There was a line to order and there were also people waiting for their orders. This Beard Papas is small, but clean. We decided to order a dozen of cream puffs, which we saved $3.00. The total for a dozen with the discount was around $44, which wasn't bad. We ordered a variety of flavors. We ordered the green tea, original, strawberry shortcake, chocolate eclair, cookie crunch, dulce de leche, oreo cookie crumble, and honey butter flavors. Some of the puffs had green tea fillings and some had chocolate fillings. Our favorites were the green tea, oreo cookie crumble with green tea fillings. We wanted to order the creme brulee flavored one, but they were sold out. I guess this will be a good excuse to come back when we crave for cream puffs.

Yelp
15+ years; longer than most bakeries. I remember the hype when they first opened. Can smell the egg choux pastry for the shell as you open the door. Original+Vanilla still the most popular. Have to eat it fresh. The moisture from the cream quickly turns the crunchy pastry soggy. Not too sweet. Copied the Japanese flavor exactly. Definitely less sweet than the American style of cake and donut fillings. More like a cream custard than a super sweet topping. Came in for one, left after eating 3. Matcha+Vanilla. Kids were kind enough to let me sample a lemon. Lemon is slightly tangy. Can taste the freshness of the lemon. Like a mild lemon drop candy flavor. Forgot how good they were. Surprised they lasted 15+ years. Kids working there are the best I have seen in any FF place in years. They are a cut above the typical FF worker with angry indifference. I would go back just to go visit them. Good parents. Refreshing to see.

Yelp
First time in this plaza and was curious by the name. Beard Papa's is a cute little cream puff shop and the workers are friendly. When you order, you have to pick a shell flavor then a filling flavor. I did both green tea for my shell and filling. The cream puff was good and I liked how it wasn't overly sweet, but I would like more green tea taste. The filling reminded me of Pocky's green tea flavor. If I am back in the area, I want to try the cookies & cream shell with vanilla filling.
google avatar

Jane E.

Yelp
Beard Papa's never disappoints! Their cream puffs are always fresh and filled w/ your likings right in front of you. My favorite is original w/ chocolate cream. We also tried the chocolate w/ vanilla, and the special valentines flavor w/ vanilla. All delicious! There was a bit of a line, but wasn't quick. Cute shop w/ friendly staff. Plenty of parking in lot.

Yelp
* Oreo ice cream cream puff - 4 stars Like! Logistically much easier than an ice cream cookie sandwich. * Chocolate cream puff with matcha filling - 3.5 stars Also enjoyed, although the matcha was a bit artificial tasting. * Strawberry shortcake cream puff with vanilla filling - 4 stars What can I say, my daughter enjoyed this!

Moon M.

Yelp
Beard papas is one of my favorite bakeries. It has delicious shells, yummy fillings, and amazing service. The background is scented like the food, the walls and floors are clean, beard papas is one of my favorite shops. It's all nice. Food, service, inside,WOW.
google avatar

Cynthia W.

Yelp
Cream puff size is getting smaller and smaller. Price is going up on contrary. I went on Sunday and there was a line. Only 2 staff and food came out pretty slow since a lot of people put in big orders. The flavor was still good but the shell was getting soggy. It's a small shop near daiso. Inside is clean and just a space for people to stand and wait.
google avatar

Alyssa C.

Yelp
Beard Papa has always been my favorite cream puff place in the Bay! I would recommend the Cupertino location as I never had any issues with consistency in the cream puff shell itself and the custard filling. Their vanilla custard never misses, it's delicious, just the right amount of sweetness!
google avatar

Joyce T.

Yelp
This review is for the mini puffs, 6 for $7 with a few creams to choose from: vanilla matcha chocolate and Oreo mint. We ordered the small ones with vanilla and matcha cream, both flavors were delicious and not too sweet
google avatar

Carol C.

Yelp
I brought a few puffs and asking for an additional bag to put one of them there. The Asian cashier/customer rep (see attached photos.) in her mid 20s shouted at me loudly in front of other customers and staff "do not touch their bag!" None of the staff greet people or say thank you after customers paid for their food. Why this Beard Papa's shop likes to give people hard time with rude attitudes?
google avatar

Michael Y.

Yelp
This was right next to the Daiso. There was hardly anyone there...maybe because it was later in the day. They had a sign at the door that they only had the original left. We went in and they said they only had the original shell with vanilla or chocolate cream filling. So we just went with original vanilla. The staff was trying to stuff two into a take out bag, but we told them it was ok. We ate it quickly outside. It was alright. Don't forget to check in on yelp to see if they have a 10% off.
google avatar

Sarah Y.

Yelp
Yummy cream puffs with good amount of filling. Puffs weren't as fresh as I expected.

Yelp
If you saw the pictures in this post, you may be confused. "Why on earth are u at beard papas with a suitcase and several bags?" Sadly i didn't come from vacation, but got dropped off to go home from Santa Cruz bringing things from my apartment back home. I chose beard papas because I remember when i was younger and thought the cream puffs here were amazing. This location is a store front which has little seating arrangements giving it a more grab n go spot rather than a cafe. Staff was quick and super patient with me as i was ordering. I'm not entirely sure why, but it's been several years, and several visits to their other locations, but the flavor of filling that initially hooked me is no where to be found. My first time trying beard papas the strawberry crème was the best. Not too tart, not too sweet, and contained fresh strawberry bits. Not too sure why I've been unable to find a store which has the strawberry filling, but i guess strawberry short cake went on strike and took her recipe with her. This time around i ordered two of each flavor; chocolate, matcha, and vanilla. I sat outside beard papas on a bench with all of my belongings in the rain enjoying my order gobbling down a whole chocolate filled crème puff. The shell of the creme puff was okay, but it did seem to be a bit stale. The filling had a more mocha chocolate flavor which was nice. Unfortunately the matcha flavor couldn't make the filling lay offs as there was hardly any matcha essence or flavor to it which caused me to grow a suspicion that they might have just dyed the filling green... LOL. Overall not the kind of experience that i dreamt of, but the good thing about me is that I'll never stop dreaming! (Rip Strawberry Shortcake)

Yelp
Never the same as in Japan. Crust doesn't taste as fresh. Maybe because there aren't many in the states so they survived the pandemic and the price went up. Saw a few teenage there serving today, I can understand they are not to familiar so the wait was a bit long. Nevertheless it's a good treat when you crave a light cold dessert.
google avatar

Allyson L.

Yelp
Big fan of the creme puffs from Beard Papa. Love the different flavors and the crust is nice. The cream has a good fluff to it. They're pretty hefty.
google avatar

Christina N.

Yelp
Got variety pack for the large cream puffs to share and it was more than enough for our group of 10. Even though we came late they still had quite a few options and flavors left.
google avatar

Therese A.

Yelp
First time at a Beard Papa's and decided to get a little treat before exploring Daiso next door. I ordered the original cream puff with vanilla custard filling. It was really good and reminded me of the Costco cream puffs I enjoyed as a kid but even better and bigger. I enjoyed the flakiness of the fluffy and light bread exterior (which kind of tasted like those flat bottom cake cones). The filling was lightly sweet. This spot is very casual, lots of outdoor seating. Service was quick and straightforward. One cream puff was enough to satisfy my craving!

Lala P.

Yelp
My favorite is the crème brûlée puffs. I have 1 request for the other puffs. Please be consistent and fill up the puffs nicely with cream.

Yelp
This is my first time ever coming here. I've been by this business so many times so I finally decided to try it out. I'm honestly not a fan of cream puffs but I can honestly say that the filling was the BEST ever I've had. I just wish the pastrie was warm whwn I received it.. The. I definitely think it would have been put of the world delicious!! I do love how they fill the pastry in front of me.. Except for the cream Brulé. As for this pastry i DIDN'T taste the Brule only the delicious cream filling! So it's not worth the extra costs. But a must to have one of the pastries

Yelp
Customer service can be better. The pastries would taste better if they were warm. My friends and I ate our cream puffs there and could be more comfortable. It was cold and they had the door open but It's a small place so that could be why.

Yelp
This place does cream puffs and does them amazingly well. The puff is light and fluffy with a delicate crust, the cream is cool and sweet but not too sweet. If you want a nice treat but also don't want to feel too full- the mini puffs are the perfect bite sized treat. It was 99 degrees earlier and having a fresh puff with cool cream was perfect. It's about a 15 min drive from me but I'll make an outing specifically because I occasionally crave this very specific pastry. Ambiance is nothing much- it's a strip mall after all, but the service is fast, the food is excellent, and when you take a bite the rest doesn't matter.

Yelp
I loved the cream puffs at Beard Papa's in Tokyo when I visited recently, so I knew I had to try them here in Cupertino! We stopped in on a Friday night and got a strawberry shortcake shell with vanilla cream filling; there was a bit of a wait but it wasn't too bad. The cream puff was good overall and I enjoyed the strawberry shortcake topping on the shell, though it did seem like the shell had been sitting out for a while. Overall it's a good place for a quick dessert but nothing spectacular.
