Beard Papa's - [Limited Time] Monster Hunter Wilds Collab - Cola Puffs, Standees, Game Code Cards and Free Puffs!

I wouldn't call it the world's best cream puff, but it was good and worth a try. I wasn't expecting the puff to have the slight crunch that it had, they do a great job at keeping them fresh. The filling (vanilla) was simple and not overly sweet. Portion is a bit small and price is kinda high for what you get. Service wasn't bad, but the girl seemed like she had better places to be... I will say I would come back for another.. it's worth a try!

We are staying right next to the mall of America and we went to check it out today. My friend highly recommended Beard Papa’s saying they had amazing cream puffs. So we went to try it ourselves, I am so happy he recommended it because their cream puffs were heavenly! I got the crème brûlée and my husband got the s’mores. Definitely going to try them again the next time we see them.

Nice clean little store offering fresh cream puffs. I had the original with chocolate. It was really warm and delicious but cost $5.99. I also had a large green tea cream custard which was again delicious but cost $12.99. The price, including tip, was $18. It did feel a bit expensive given the amount of food. Utensils not included.

Awesome experience, except the staffs were not very friendly and the puff seemed a bit overpriced for it's size. It tastes really good though.

I had the mashle cream puff and it was definitely delicious! The top part was so soft and melted in my mouth. Will definitely come back again to try the others!

1st the worker grabbed the wrong drink, not a big deal as she got the right one when I said it was wrong. But I ordered the honey pastry filled with matcha. After a couple hours, we decided to make coffee and enjoy the treat and it was filled with a bland vanilla cream! Super disappointing and at nearly $6 for ONE small puff, it was outrageous. My friend in Indonesia had been urging me to try this place for a year, and she said the most expensive variation there is only 1.70 usd. What a rip off. Drink was expensive too for just one cold tea. Won't be back or recommend. Price gouging because you're in a big mall is not cool.

Service was lacking. There were two workers, but they seemed to not want to do the register. So I went to the self check out kiosk, and it’s ridiculous. There’s a service fee and an automatic tipping charge. I removed the tip. But it left a bad impression on me. The cream puffs were fine, but nothing incredible. The poor service really ruined the experience for me.

Love these yummy puffs and my favorite one is the new creme brulee, however, they only comes in halves!? Not sure what they do with the other half of the puff shell but these special puffs costs more than the regular puff ($4.89 each), so I feel like it's not a good value when we only get half of the puff and had to pay more 🙄

A must have for all of the Mashle: Magic & Muscles (anime) fans out there! They serve Mash's favorite little treat, cream puffs! Quick and easy. Staff is friendly. I should have tried the original one, I suggest you do that before your venture off. Tried the ube cream puff and the ube fondant--two totally different treats! The cream puff had a yummy ube filling but the ube topping was a bit grainy. As for the fondant, don't be fooled by the name--it's not the fancy cake stuff. It's more like a soft little cake with warm ube lava inside. So good... just not sure why it's called fondant!

Service could've been better. Their "special" wasn't available because the girl behind the counter said she didn't feel like making them today. Person taking my order was nice though. Food: Cream Puffs- 5/5 all good Matcha- 1/5 boba was hard, matcha flavor was almost non-existent and more watery than anything. Not even milky, but watery. Wait line, ordering line, all a mess. You either have to figure it out yourself or a friendly customer who has already ordered will guide you. The employees didn't really acknowledge you much.

Prior, I never really cared or gravitated to have a cream puff for dessert. There's nothing wrong with them, it just wasn't wanted. But since I tried Beard Papas through a Yelp elite event, I was hooked!! Mainly for 2 good reasons. 1. They are made fresh daily!! 2. It's a franchise from Japan which is known for the world's best cream puffs. They have the best flavors and just like all Asian desserts, it's good because it's "not too sweet" it's funny because they actually emphasize that in the store. All the flavors are delicious. So you pick your cream puff shell and you can pick the filling. It's filled to order, talk about fresh! My favorite is the original tried and true original shell with vanilla filling and the strawberry shell with vanilla filling. The contrast of the tart strawberry glaze works in Harmony with the vanilla cream. Yum!

When my husband saw Beard Papas at the Mall of American, he became excited and he made me try it immediately. He had seen this advertised in Japan and wanted to share it with me. We got a cream puff with chocolate filling and a chocolate topping. I was blown away with the taste. I was happy that the taste matched the premium price. It was sweet and rich, a great combination. I can't wait to try more items from their menu. I highly recommend Beard Papas Mall of America!

Stopped in to Beard Papa to get a little something sweet. I got the traditional cream puff with vanilla filling and an ube fondant. The filling was super tasty and creamy. The shell was a little harder than expected but I did come late at night. The Ube fondant was very neat, I did not know what to expect. They heated it up and added powdered sugar for me. It was like a lava cake - very good! Additionally, the staff was pleasant and helpful. I would love to stop in and try more!

Can't wait til they open a store in San Diego!!!! I loved this place. The first visit service was great; however the 2nd visit the girl behind the counter was unenthusiastic. The mini cream puffs were the bomb! I love a good cream puff and the fill it on the spot, so the pastry choux was still crunchy. The store is clean and set up nicely.

I love these Creme puffs! I love how you can pick a shell and a filling, I got strawberry with vanilla filling. They are a little messy to eat but that's part of the fun of it. Service was fast and good!

My daughter has been bugging me to come back to get some more cream puffs. This store is located on the third floor across from the north food court. They have a variety of puffs to choose from, original and frosted. Once you choose a puff, then choose a filling, there's usually 3 different kinds. We had ube with vanilla filling and original with green tea filling. Both are delicious and not too sweet. They also sell other desserts, bubble teas and merchandise. Service was great, order at the register and wait for the food at the end of the counter.

I wanted something sweet...other than ice cream.. cookies or cake..and luckily I found these! Super cute, light and airy cream puffs! Not too sweet. Delish. Easy ordering system via kiosk and fast. I got the matcha cream puff. Which was soooo good! .So I got the mini- six pack to take home. Highly recommend!

So I really enjoy a good cream puff, but the wait at this place is just insane, and it's clearly because of poor management. There is no strategy or organization to how orders are taken or filled. Staff are running back and forth across the prep area to fill a single order, other staff are standing idle.. it's just a disorganized mess. Moral of the story: if you have 20+ minutes to wait on 2 cream puffs, they're pretty tasty. If you don't have 20 minutes, look for a different treat.

When I come to the Mall of America it's usually for run-of-the-mill errands of the sort that is annoyingly complicated by the size of this megamall. But I don't hate coming to the MOA as much as others, because I always have it in my head that I'll be able to stop at Beard Papa's. I just love getting one of these indulgent cream puffs. They are very satisfying! They are not like cream puffs you'd get at a typical American bakery or grocery store, mainly because the cream is so thick and custardy. The thing to do here is to go to the kiosk and place your order. (You can also order in person, but I get the impression that the people that take orders there have to multitask and it is just easier to do it at the kiosk.) Pick your "shell" which is just what kind of sweetness will be the outer icing such as "strawberry" or "cookie crumble", then pick your filling, which is generally chocolate, vanilla, or matcha custard cream. They'll grab a shell from the rack and fill it for you right there and it will be very very tasty for you. They also have milk tea with boba fixin's, which are perfectly fine. The price can add up if you get a lot of stuff, but that sure can be tempting. For me, I'm pretty much always content to pop in and order one awesome build-your-own pastry.

Stopped here to grab a puff as we roamed around the mall. It wasn't too busy but the wait was extremely long just for two cream puffs. They have a variety of flavors and filling to choose from. I got the ube cream puff with vanilla filling. The puffs are huge but also a bit pricey. The puff was good but I think I expected it to be more fresh and it wasn't. One of our cream puff barely had any filling so we went back and got a replacement with more filling.

Pretty fast service of less than 5 minutes to order and get food. The food itself is a nice treat. The frosting on mine was very sweet, the outside of the food was crunchy, and the inside was creamy vanilla. Altogether pretty good.

These crème puffs were so good crunchy shell and then creamy filling, the icing on top is pretty thick and sweet so I'd recommend one without icing, but the texture and taste was great! If you're at mall of America stop by here!

I am not a big fan of Cream puff , but when I saw this chain dedicated to them I decided to give them a try. I got the honey butter, cookie and cream and churro. With either vanilla or chocolate filling. I love the Honey butter and Cookie and Cream shells, they were delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the churro one, I think they over did the Cinnamon on the one I got. The filling were okay, i don't like cream fillings so it would have taken an excellent filling to wow me. They were not overly sweet. I ordered 3 of them for $17, you could get six for $26. But I did not want that many cream puff.

My two sisters and our kids tried this place and had mixed reviews. Only 3 stars because our food and service were just ok, not great. The cream puffs on the menu aren't bad, but I really can't justify the price for what you get. Value is important to me. It was busy and lines were long. The cashier asked us to use the self-ordering station so we did, but then another cashier came out and quickly helped the group behind us. We were a bit annoyed by this inconsistent level of service. The ambiance is nice and their merchandising is on point. There are no places to sit inside but the food court is only a few steps away.

First time trying. Good crusty crunch on the eclair shells but felt a bit heavy for claiming a "perfected choux". The cream fillings are nice! I found the shell icings a bit too cloyingly sweet and artificial in flavor. I did like the matcha filling. The churro shell needed more cinnamon. The crime brûlée one's were fantastic. Would definitely get those again!

Every time I walk by here, there is a line! So I decided I needed to give this a try! The service was fine and everyone was friendly. There really isn't seating here, however they are across from the north food court on the 3rd floor and there is plenty of seating there. I decided on a strawberry puff. I was expecting the filling to be very light and airy (a cream puff yeah?) but this is more like a custard consistency. Much heavier. With that being said, the flavor was good. There were bits of strawberries inside and that was good. I personally like when cream puffs are dusted with powdered sugar. The white chocolate (strawberry flavored) top on this was very heavy and super sweet. My boys (7&3) would not finish it due to how sweet. I wouldn't tell people not to try this. The taste is good but definitely should be shared and don't go in thinking you are getting a light and fluffy typical cream puff!

Such a cute spot with fun flavors to choose from! These cream puffs are a decent size, so you feel like you're getting your money's worth + only need to get one to be satisfied. The shells were light and complemented the richer custard filling well. I liked that they weren't too sweet, but the frosted tops (like the ube shell) are definitely on the sweeter side if that's your thing!

Just like my mom used to make! These jumbo cream puffs are a delicious treat to enjoy at the mall and are so fresh! You can mix and match your topping and filling , which makes the options that much sweeter. While I opted for a classic chocolate covered with vanilla filling, my husband went for the more elaborate cookies and cream with chocolate filling (he finished his before I could get through mine!) so delicious, takes me right back home. The size alone of these sweet treats is enough to brighten anyone's day! Ordering was super seamless and easy! They have a variety of other offerings, which we also recommend checking out too! We recommend getting in on trying the holiday special seasonal flavor as it's only available for a short amount of time!

Amazing cream puffs, and so many flavors and toppings to choose from! The fillings are so creamy - I love the vanilla, green tea and strawberry custards. And the honey butter topping is great and adds a little crispness. Not too sweet and a perfect treat!

I came across this place while at the Mall of America and it did not disappoint! I tried the oreo puff with chocolate cream filling. It was very good! I expected it to be super sweet and found it to be well balanced between the coating on the puff and the filling. Will definitely come back on my next MOA visit.

Super delish cream puffs! I'm not familiar with what a good Price point is, but I do know Bearded Papa's delicious cream puffs were worth the trip. Full size pastries were about $5 each for elaborate flavors like cookies and cream or creme brûlée. We went home with a sampler of 9 mini puffs for $13. This was absolutely an amazing treat yourself moment of decadence and the minis are a really fun way to try all the fillings! My favorite was the chocolate, but the limited edition Horchata was delish as well! The staff were all super friendly and gave great recommendations as well. This spot might just be a must-stop on the occasional MOA trips.

Such a delicious treat!!! Some friends and I stopped by around 8pm after getting dinner at Kura so stock was a little low, but the staff working were super nice and helped us change out some things if certain combos weren't available. Our favorites were the green tea with vanilla filling and the Oreo in general! I will 100% be returning here next time I'm at MOA!

Run don't walk and grab a ube puff with taro boba filling both my kids and I very much enjoyed this plus it's my daughter's favorite color so she thinks it's made especially for her. All the flavors sound and look delicious. Today's chosen puffs were Ube with taro boba filling Creme Brulee with vanilla filling Churro with chocolate filling All were delicious and I can't recommend them enough. I like them because they don't have a strong milky taste to them so the flavors in the creme really shine and are not overpowered. Dare I say that they are way better than the creme puffs from CREAM PUFFS at the MN STATE FAIR. I said what I said....enjoy guys!

Visited for a second time and it was as good as I remember!! I went with the almond croissant with vanilla filling and the churro with vanilla filling. Vanilla filling was my favorite last time so I doubled up on that. I love the almond croissant one as it's a little crisper than the others and I enjoy that! The churro was so good! Loved the flavoring paired with vanilla. Service was quick at 11 on a Saturday! I always park by Nordstrom for a quick walk over to Beard Papas.

This is a great place for a sweet treat! I tried the ube with vanilla filling and Green tea with matcha filling and both was really good! They were big! I split 2 with 3 people and it was the perfect amount. The staff were also super friendly! I would not hesitate to go back for more. I also really appreciated them having seasonal options- it was so cute!

Not really a huge fan. They are good but not healthy at all. I wish they had some healthy options for this fun desert. An actual fruit filling with no added sugar would be amazing.

Beard Papas is my favorite chain of cream puffs and it's my goto dessert when I'm on the West Coast. I walked in and was pleasantly surprised to find a variety of pastries, crepes, and cream puff combos including chocolate, Oreo, and matcha with different fillings. I went with honey butter and vanilla filling because I hadn't tried it before, the service was prompt and efficient and I had my order ready in seconds. As good as any of the other locations, will surely be back again!

I've been excitedly anticipating this location opening in the Mall of America and boy was I thrilled they finally opened. I strongly recommend getting either a standard cream puff or a chocolate topped one to start. They're so simple yet so delicious. They are on the pricier side (at least $5, if not more for their specialty cream puffs) so be prepared to spend a little extra. The quality is worth it, but it's not a cheap indulgence. The only reason I gave 4 stars is it did take a lot longer than expected. I ordered only 1 cream puff and waited for about 10 minutes. I'm sure they are still working through being more efficient, but it definitely took longer than expected. Can't wait to go back and try their other flavors!

This was okay. Probably wouldn't get it again. Easy ordering system. I tried the Strawberry Eclair Shell with vanilla filling. The strawberry flavor is more the traditional manufactured taste as opposed to real, fresh strawberry flavor.

Worth the calories! If you're at MOA looking for a dessert or snack, this is your place! Located at the third floor beside the mini-golf, I suggest walking around to build an appetite. The limited flavors are worth trying especially the Ube with mango! It's a refreshing snack or a good dessert after you had a steak! My favorite is the S'more shell as the chocolate is tasty and crispy!!! The staff is joyfully happy to help you choose your flavors if you're undecided and of course there are mini versions if you can't commit to a full fist-size creampuff. They also have a frequent purchase card and after .10, stamps you get a free one! Definitely going back!

This place is amazing my friend talks about it all the time and now Iv finally been able to try it for my self , no regrets !

the workers were very very rude, i ordered a single drink and the family behind me had gotten their 6 pack donut thing way before i got my boba and on top of that they gave me a completely wrong lid not fitting the straw

My favorite place to get a sweet treat at the mall of America!! Green tea is definitely my favorite, with a classic vanilla filling. These are so incredibly tasty, flaky on the outside, and oozing on the inside!! I love how you can make your own flavor combos. This place is perfectly designed to get in and out with your treat very fast, and the workers are so friendly and knowledgeable. The shop is bright and all the flavors are displayed! The colors are so simple but reflective of the uniqueness of the shop! An absolute must visit! :)

This is our 2nd trip here! Definitely a must stop if you're visiting MOA. I love the different shell options plus whatever filling/cream you want. They are soooo delicious! Best cream puffs ever. My hubs and I discovered this in a past Yelp event which has been a hit ever since. The s'mores, Oreo, and churro are my personal favorites. He tried the coffee jelly flavor filling today in his churro cream puff, but said the horchata filling was his favorite so far. So many fun flavor combinations.

Great alternative to the typical vanilla cream puff because they have fist size and unique flavor cream puffs. Franchises are available all over the country but I believe this is the only one in Mn located in the Mall of America. The puff is nice and crispy not soggy at all. The cream fillings are not too sweet and silky custard tasting. You can choose the flavored frosting puff you want and then choose what custard filling flavor you want freshly piped into the puff. I think that is why it's not as soggy as other typical bakery cream puffs. We ordered crème brûlée, ube, and matcha.

Stopped here after a yelp event. I knew there was a yelp elite event here in the past, that I didn't attend. Of course, I asked a bunch of questions such as flavor of the month, matcha, etc. The girl working alone wasn't busy and let me sample the chocolate, vanilla, ube and matcha. 3 of them literally tasted the same. I didn't care for the chocolate. I ordered 3 mini cream puffs with ube, matcha and vanilla. I ordered my spouse the oreo, regular size, and he scarfed it down when I got home. The mini sizes were perfect for me. I had the ube and vanilla mini ones for breakfast. As rarely as I get to mall of America, it will probably be awhile before I return. The worker was really nice to this new customer.

I love cream puffs and I am so glad to found beard Papa's at the mall of America. The creamy fillings are sweet but the right amount of the sweetness. And we love that each month they're rotating the fillings.

I always thought I didn't like cream puffs until NOW. These are the best! You choose your own flavor and filling. They are fresh and light with a subtle sweetness. Just a perfect combination! I will be revising this place again next time I'm at the mall.

Can't say I see what all the fuss is about. I had a honey butter cream puff with vanilla filling, and it was not as good as I can get at some neighborhood grocery stores. The puff pastry was dry, and the filling lacked much flavor (I know it was vanilla, but still it could be more interesting). And the server seemed bored more than anything. For the price, I doubt I'll go back.

Holy sugar high! This was my first time here thanks to the Yelp event. Walked in and couldn't decide which cream puff I wanted so i decided to play it safe and get the s'more and the Oreo and man it did not disappoint! I ended up buying two of each and ate one of each while at the mall. Luckily the mall is so massive I was able to walk some of it off. Lol. The staff was very helpful with helping me decide which ones they recommended and the different fillings I could use. My goal is to try each flavor which won't be difficult for me since I love my sweets. Will be back shortly.

Full disclosure: I'm not a huge sweets person. In fact, when I do eat sweets, I tend to choose the flavors that aren't - dark chocolate, matcha, tart berries - you get the drift. I'm about as bitter as my soul. I do, however, have a penchant for cream puffs - light, airy, and juuuust the right amount of sweet where I feel like I'm not going to have a sugar crash in about four hours. Beard Papa's is a chain originating in Japan with hundreds of locations all over the world, so I was ecstatic to hear there was one opening in the MOA. What makes them so fun is the combinations and limited flavors. These aren't your basic cream puffs. Matcha, Oreo, their selection is always changing and they have limited flavors as well - you also can mix and match them, as you choose a shell, and then selecting a filling and they fill them up there as you order! I selected an original + vanilla, a chocolate + chocolate, matcha + matcha, and a strawberry + vanilla. They were all really solid, although I personally love matcha so I was biased toward that combo. Ordering was easy and quick, and the staff were speedy and helpful in deciphering how it worked! I'd definitely come back to pick up cream puffs for a little treat!

The cream puffs were good but the icing on top was a little sweeter than what I would prefer. The original plus the filling is perfect! They have a buy 5 get 1 free deal so you can try majority of the flavors. The ordering and pickup line is very odd, you'll have to go all the way into the store and order and make your way out to the door side for pickup. Both enter and exit is on the same side so imagine when it's a little busier.

Our first trip to Beard Papa's and we will be back. You pick your shell and filling and you have a fresh cream puff. Most of the fillings are a cross between a custard and whipped cream (except Mango) and nice and light. The shells are perfect. Creme Brulee only comes with vanilla filling - chocolate would be great. They have a purple topped shell (Ube) that is made with purple yams. That was very good. I took them home and refrigerated until dinner and they were a big hit.

A lovely store with many options and combinations of cream puffs. You can build your own from their diverse options or get a six pack assortment which is what we chose. The cream puffs were bigger than we expected and very delicious! They're filled right in front of you too! Many unique flavors as well such as Matcha and Ube. The service was great and prompt. The ambiance was lively and upbeat, standing out very clearly amongst the other stores. I recommend giving them a try!

Best crème puffs ever. Super light and not sugar heavy. First order here I got chocolate with chocolate filling; I thought it was going to be too much chocolate but it actually was not. It was perfect! We've tried different puff and filling combinations including vanilla and strawberry. Whatever the combination, it works!!! Also have tried the crème brûlée, Japanese pudding, and one other desert and would recommend all of them.

I was introduced to Beard Papa's from a Yelp Elite Event and I had to come back plus bring some friends! They had ube cream puff which is my favorite flavor and I had it with vanilla filling! Plus my friend and mom got it with green matcha and chocolate filling and they said it tasted well together! The staff was very helpful especially since there were many choices!
