Google
Officially my new favorite coffeehouse in Door County, worth the drive over if you usually stick to the Bay side of the peninsula. The coffee and food menu is amazing, a great place to go for lunch.

Jolee E.

Google
A highlight of our trip to DC! Very friendly service. Coffee comes out fast, despite a long line. Food arrived promptly and deliciously even on a busy Saturday morning. The space is so cute! The only downside is that there are no bathrooms (even for handwashing). We went to the harbor about a block North and used the restrooms there.

Google
Great coffee place with excellent food. We had a great Mexican Mocha. We had an excellent everything breakfast bagel sandwich, chèvre honey toast and a bacon, lettuce and avocado sandwich.

Dani Marie

Google
Support local. I love that they are LGBTQ+ advocates. The morning we were there no employee was really into great customer service. I did not feel very welcomed; they didn't smile. It is towards the end of the summer and everyone's probably tired... Got a double espresso, strong and good.

Google
Very cool coffee shop in Bailey's Harbor. Friendly and professional baristas. They offer an interesting array of coffee drinks and the ones we tried were excellent. Food is available too, although we didn't have time to sample it.

Marissa

Google
This has been a go-to spot for me while both working in Door County and as a casual visitor. Their food is basically art at this point - wholesome, filling, amazingly crafted art. They experiment with menu items, like an espresso Old Fashioned, and are constantly switching up their offerings. The atmosphere has always been absolutely amazing and even better at their new location. Bearded Heart is a must visit - 10/10 good time.

Google
Cute spot, great smoked whitefish toast. FYI: there's no public wifi. I was meeting people and went early to get some work done because my hotel connection was spotty. Gave me time to relax instead!

Google
Coolest hipster shop!!! I live in the twin cities and I have never had lavender on my bread!!! This is by far the coolest options and the coffee was on point. I wish I could give this more stars. Will be back if I am around.

Gary A.

Yelp
2nd to the last day for Bearded Heart. Sorry to see it change but it is inevitable. The early days in the small hut, great food and memories.

Allen A.

Yelp
We loved this place and it was busy busy busy. The line went out the door. The coffee is great and the people are nice. I wish there were some gluten free options for food but even still, it was a great spot. We sat outside and the weather was perfect. I would have gone in to order more but I didn't want to fight the line again.

Katie G.

Yelp
The coffees here were delish, I had the golden milk latte and it was good! The drink portions were a little small for the prices, but overall was a great coffee. I also went back the next day and got a salad, it was tasty as well! If you're looking for a lunch or coffee spot, don't miss this cute little stop!

Ellena K.

Yelp
Really good coffee and food! Loved the pumpkin toast in tne fall. Hope to be back someday!

Carmen R.

Yelp
We stopped here for coffee while in Bailey's Harbor for a hike. What a cute coffee shop! The service was great, the Cherry pie bar was outstanding and my husband "Mr Fussy" said it was the best Mocha he's ever had. Nice job Bearded Heart Coffee. We will be back

Isabelle L.

Yelp
Interesting flavor twists on otherwise common dishes make this place worth stopping by for lunch. Grilled cheese sandwich with kimchi, avocado salad with fried egg and nice micro greens, whitefish spread toast with a bit of greens. All really good. They do close at 2 PM so don't show up too late but I do recommend stopping by for a bite to eat and good coffee drinks.

Xiomary S.

Yelp
Cute place inside and out. I enjoyed my caramel oat iced latte. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

Claire L.

Yelp
This is such a cute coffee shop right in Bailey's Harbor! Love the black and bright yellow exterior! It was quite busy this morning with a line out the door already at 9 am but it moved pretty quickly (only wait for 10 minutes). The menu isn't big but does offer a good selection of some delicious options to please both meat and veggie eaters! I got the avo toast with fried egg which looked very pleasing but failed to deliver on the taste front. It was under seasoned and tasted bland! I'm not saying it needs to be heavily seasoned but a bit of salt and pepper go a long way especially because the avocado doesn't have any flavor to it. My husband's breakfast bagel was the opposite- very flavorful and tasty! The matcha latte was kind of bland too without much sweetener so I added a drizzle of the simple syrup. Pro tip- order online to skip the wait especially on the weekend. Overall, would recommend this cafe for a quick bite to eat if you're looking for a lighter breakfast!

Ruff N.

Yelp
Love this place great food and drink wish they were more active in door county all year!

Cassie P.

Yelp
Great coffee, a bit pricey for the medium, which is more like a small. Cute place in a cute town.

Amy A.

Yelp
I used to tell everyone about this place and make it a priority to visit each time, but it was so disappointing this last visit that we won't be back. Very slow and disorganized employee at the register leading to long line. No communication that they were out of ingredients for one of their sandwiches so it came out very plain. When we went to window to talk to employee she said, "You should've been told! Nothing I can do! Go to front and get your money back!" And we had to go back in same long line. The whitefish toast used to come with a side salad and they no longer provide it. For $13 there should be a side. Also, the drip coffee was TERRIBLE and this is a coffee shop! So disappointed on one of my Door Co favorites.

Anna K.

Yelp
I'm sad to report Bearded Heart has changed ownership and is no longer the high quality food and coffee shop we've loved for many years. My "avocado toast" was simply white toast with a thin layer of store bought guacamole. The coffee was sub-par at best. Personally would say not worth the price point.

Roya B.

Yelp
Very unique and tasty goat milk latte with burnt caramel! They also had excellent covid precautions in place when we visited in late August. Subtracting a star because the staff was a little short with my friends when they asked questions about the menu.

Alison P.

Yelp
So adorable and amazing safety precautions in place with covid. Very much felt like I was in a trendy coffee shop in Asheville or Madison. A bike fixing station outside too!

Nerissa T.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick breakfast and coffee before our kayaking tour. We enjoyed our meal outside due to the covid situation but there was plenty of tables available. I had the oat milk latte and chèvre & pesto toast, which were delicious! I would definitely come here again!

Punkaj G.

Yelp
Love that they have goat milk for their coffee drinks! I wish more places had this because it makes the drink so creamy and is so much easier on the belly! Love this place!

D.S. A.

Yelp
I stopped by Bearded Heart Coffee this morning for a cappuccino and a cherry chocolate scone. While there was a longer line, it was well worth the wait. The cappuccino was nice and frothy. The cherry chocolate scone was perfect. It was chock full of dried cherries and chocolate chips. The scone was so fresh that it had a slightly cake-like texture. I am thrilled to see a local business doing well.

Kristen C.

Yelp
Stopped in while in the area for 2 red eye coffees, a slice of banana bread and an asparagus goat cheese puffed pastry. Coffee was decent and food items were excellent! Limited outdoor seating area and staff working was a bit ditsy (had to go ask someone how to do coffee cream on the side).

Alison W.

Yelp
Best iced coffee I've had in a long time. I'm kicking myself for not asking what beans they were using. Interestingly, I was at a different drink establishment farther up north and we got to talking and Bearded Heart came up. She said she's heard from sooo many people the iced coffee is the best, so I know I'm not alone. I kept going back during my stay. Taking one star off because I wasn't a huge fan of the lavender avocado toast. I was being adventurous and it's simply not something for me. I felt like the lavender was overpowering. If you are someone who likes that flavor profile, I would suggest trying it, however. Lavender aside, it was fresh and the toast part of the avocado toast was delicious. For people complaining about wait times, there is a HUGE labor shortage in Door County and there aren't a lot of other places around with premium coffee. Have some compassion or complain somewhere else.

Aala S.

Yelp
I did not like their espresso blend. It was too strong and bitter. I picked up a chocolate chip cookie cause it looked really good but it was one of the worst cookies I've had. Their coffee, my husband and I were able to finish it, the cookie I just couldn't. For such a cute coffee shop they could've done better.

Nektaria R.

Yelp
Outdoor seating. Friendly faces. Good coffee. Friendly service. Definitely a good place for coffee In the middle of nowhere. Plenty of parking out front.

Lance R.

Yelp
Best coffee in Door County featuring Ruby Roasters and other great rotating roasters. Always solid coffee. Love the consistency in offerings. Their new location is close to their old one and offers a lot more seating choices inside and out. I haven't tried their breakfast and lunch items, but they have some solid offerings.

Sabrina C.

Yelp
Loved this place and WILL BE BACK. Such friendly staff!! And the pesto-chevere toast (we had it on sourdough) was perfectly balanced! The coffee was great too, and I really admired their attention to detail in adhering to COVID guidelines.

Amber Z.

Yelp
Ordered the raspberry lavender toast on 9 grain which was simply divine. So pure, so raw! Very fresh and the lavender added a sensually floral touch. I ended driving quite a few miles to come back for a second of these bad boys. Also got the DC Lemuria Kombucha. The crystals on the bottle attracted me, the taste kept me. I seeked out more of this stuff later on in my trip, it was very refreshing. Worth coming ashore for!

Sarah S.

Yelp
Went here for coffee and breakfast while in town for a long weekend. The girls working in the morning were super friendly and gave great recommendations. I had a caramel latte which was one of the best lattes EVER. For breakfast I ordered the raspberry toast, which is made with squashed raspberries, butter, drizzled lavender honey. All of that sounds like a unique combination and I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was pretty delicious. The raspberries were fresh and Door County is known for lavender so I know the honey was made locally. Definitely recommend stopping here if you're in the Door County area.

Jill R.

Yelp
Great coffee in a relaxing atmosphere. Staff was friendly and seemed to enjoy their job. Ordered a latte with an extra shot. Extra shot wasn't necessary. Good stop and worth the wait.

Cristin N.

Yelp
Stopped here twice on our visit to Door County. Delicious pastries, I got the ricotta toast which was yummy and well priced. Friend got the avocado toast and it looked great. Matcha lattes were delicious and not pre-sweetened. Staff was friendly, the business was COVID conscious. Cute setting for a light breakfast or snack.

Heather M.

Yelp
We went for coffee and ended up staying for lunch. There is plenty of outdoor seating, limited indoor seating (which was closed due to Covid-19 restrictions). Their coffee isn't my favorite, it was a little bitter for my taste, but the awesome menu convinced us to try the food. The BLT was a great version of a basic sandwich complete with neuskes bacon (not pictured). My sister had the avocado salad that was lightly dressed, but well seasoned. She said it was delicious and filling. All the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. I had the beet and brie sandwich, it came with onions and a balsamic glaze. The sandwich was super delicious, but a little heavy on the bread. If I ordered it again I would request them to substitute bread for the baguette. By favorite menu item taste tested was the avocado toast, which they had several versions of. The one pictured and tried was the original, you chose your bread, it came with plenty of smashed avocado and some sliced, and even a little side salad. We can't wait to go back and try some other menu items. Their baked goods also looked amazing!

Yelp
sounded like a great idea on Monday morning, just up the street from our summer place. and they open at 7:30! but they didn't. we went back to the car to wait and a line formed, so we got out when the front door opened. got inside and we're 4th or 5th in line... first customer at the counter had a complicated order, but it didn't seem like any of the 6 staff members were interested in helping the cashier (who was trying her hardest) with the large line that had formed. they simply went about their opening tasks (ten minutes AFTER opening) without even looking up. a gentleman in his 50s was scurrying around, looking managerial, but not helping anyone. it kinda seemed like the staff got there on time but had to wait for the boss to show up with the keys, so everyone got screwed. especially the customers. they also seemed to be having trouble with the espresso machine, but we didn't wait around to find out. very frustrating. especially since it's so close and looks like such a nice place. having spent a lifetime in the industry, i understand that it could have just been preseason hiccups, so we're gonna give them a few weeks to get their act together. but we left very unhappy. not sure how many others did, too...

Nicolette F.

Yelp
Disappointed because this place appeared to be so cute but then waited almost 30 minutes for coffee. The online orders were forgotten about and people were just instructed to cancel their orders for refund with no care from employees after waiting. My latte was lukewarm almost cold when I got it after waiting. Super bummed because I was so excited to try this place.

Rebecca D.

Yelp
Delicious coffee, the chèvre honey toast is amazing. Get there early, I think you might be able to order online? If you get there after 9:30 there is a long wait!

Melissa C.

Yelp
Probably my favorite place for coffee in Door County. Just wish they were open year round. I've had a few breakfast items and different coffee drinks and all were amazing,. Great location and love the cozy feeling of sitting in their front yard. Try the goat's milk latte with burnt caramel. WOW!

Scott T.

Yelp
Literally the best scones in the dang world. Coffee is bomb too. I'm a sucker for cute ambience, good (artisanal) coffee, and delicious pastries. This has all 3. Highly recommended

Stephen O.

Yelp
This place has a unique, modern aesthetic that feels fresh and new. Great coffee and food, lots of outdoor seating, friendly staff.

Trevor S.

Yelp
This restaurant has grown so much over the years! They started amazing and they've only managed to get better! Delicious food and so many coffee options. If you're in baileys harbor, you need to check this place out!

Megan H.

Yelp
Hearty and delicious! The lattes are fabulous. With homemade syrups. Good service. Order online and then just pick up from the window. Beat the lines.

Dustin S.

Yelp
Great staff and service, but the coffee! Oh the coffee is fantastic and really nice selection of bakery.

Shania J.

Yelp
Great brunch spot! Love the options and the kombucha fridge. The people are really nice and this is a wonderful spot to go to on a nice weather day when the locals and tourists are out in the summer!

Pete M.

Yelp
Coffee was solid and the food was fantastic. I have to admit that I didn't have high hopes for this place after looking at the menu. It seemed like a rather pretentious, hipster kind of place. The type of place I love to dislike, but I, begrudgingly, have to admit that they won me over. My wife and daughter both had Avocado toast (see, hipster-didn't I tell you!) but it was so much more than avocado toast with micro greens, radishes, a fried egg and numerous other ingredients that elevated it beyond your standard, trendy avocado toast. Being in Door County I opted for the the Whitefish Toast which had a wonderful whitefish spread (cream cheese based), cucumbers, pickled red onions and radishes. It was fantastic. And I have to admit, they made me a convert. Next time we are in Door County, and looking for a lighter breakfast, this will be our first choice, me included!

Megan K.

Yelp
Coffee was not very good, had a cold brew and a iced latte, not sure but something tasted off, feel as if they are trying to hard.

Mary Kate D.

Yelp
Both the burnt goat latte and the avocado toast were great. Charming place. Would definitely come back next time I am in town.

Tessa F.

Yelp
Upon arriving at Bearded Heart Coffee, I was struck by the bright fluorescence of the yellow seating. It reminded us of the bright sun we saw on the hike we partook in prior to deciding it was time to break our fast. It was pleasant to see the sign that preceded the front entrance, listing the wonderful array of coffee and food that is offered by Bearded Heart Coffee. We were able to make our selections before even entering the vicinity. The employees were welcoming and attentive. Our party ordered a variety of drinks, as well as 3 bagels and an avocado toast. The bagels were described as "the best bagels I've ever had" and were slathered with the perfect amount of cream cheese, possibly of the goat variety. The avocado toast was simply divine, on soft sourdough bread with a perfectly cooked fried egg. The avocado was slightly underripe, but that is understandable as it is hard to find ripened avocados in this area. The radishes added a nice freshness and color. All coffees were splendid: the miel perfectly honeyed, the mocha perfectly sweetened, the chai perfectly Marsala, and the Mexican mocha a little too chocolatey. All in all, Bearded Heart Coffee is the place to go if you are looking for splendid coffee and bagels.

Allison L.

Yelp
We stopped by on a dreary morning and the line was out the door (socially distanced of course). I got a cafe miel and I was in love. Just the right amount of heat (I hate when coffee shops burn the milk!!), Honey was perfect and hint of cinnamon. We also got a sandwich and toast. The bread here is GOOD. The ingredients were fresh and the seasoning spot on. I will recommend this place to people in the area and be back again!

Caroline K.

Yelp
Just passing through and needed a quick coffee. Parking was really easy there was street parking right out front. I got a cold brew with lavender flavor and it was excellent. I had a long drive ahead of me so I ordered the raspberry lavender toast. It took awhile to make and they handed me this large to go box and I thought this couldn't be my order it's too big. I opened the box and was in awe of their masterfully crafted toast creation. The raspberrys were meticulously placed with golden honey drizzled over and lavender buds peaking out from underneath. This was the best toast I have ever tasted. I was really blown away by this little coffee shop!

Stephanie B.

Yelp
There's just nothing like the beautiful burnt goat. No matter how busy they are, Bearded Heart is our morning standard. And the customer service is always so friendly.

Kat S.

Yelp
This is my Boyfriend's favorite coffee: The establishment is a cute little trailer with outdoor seating and what they don't have in fancy space they make up for in craft. He orders the goat milk latte, we lounge outside until we leisurely cross over to the beach. Yes, it is cute, charming and romantic. The goat milk latte is richer, creamier and has a soft, velvety texture- you won't need a massive barrel mug to savor all the goodness. Boyfriend has the shirt. We go to random places in Chicago and hear many people say "Wow, I LOVE Bearded heart!" This man doesn't buy clothing- he wears almost exclusively complementary competition tees and free promo items so believe me when I say buying swag is a big deal. Almost as big a deal as a craft beverage from this little trailer by the beach. Go, try it!

Scott M.

Yelp
Very nice coffee shop. Very good feel when you walk in. Tried a couple different coffees then went in the next day to buy some to take home bc it was that good.

Jess A.

Yelp
Wow, just wow. Friendly staff, good job handling COVID, with social distancing prioritized for patrons and staff, and online ordering available. The coffee is AWESOME. The Beautiful Burnt Goat and the Miel were showstoppers. The Whitefish toast was so good, we came two days in a row. Will absolutely be back when we're back in DC. Can't miss!

Dylan A.

Yelp
Fun little coffee joint. The avocado toast was spot on. Nitro brew delish. Line moves quickly and there isn't much room inside, so practice your patience.

Daniel P.

Yelp
Great food. I wish the coffee beans were a bit better roasted, and the pourover had more attention given. Still though a great cup of coffee.
