Beast and Bottle

Wow this place really impressed us! Great food, great drink prices, great atmosphere, and great live music! We saw they had barbecue so we decided to stop in for lunch. Had some drinks, fried pickles, pulled pork sandwiches, fries, Mac & cheese, and baked beans and it was all so yummy and we loved the vibe of the place, found out they were having live music that evening and decided to come back for dinner. We got drinks, burgers, fries and banana pudding and after talking with the owner Amanda about the pulled pork earlier she ended up bringing us out a sample of the brisket and all of it was perfect! We loved it here and had no complaints! Even though they were busy the service was great and they had plenty of staff and no one seemed stressed at all! We will definitely come back when we are in town!

Beast and bottle is probably one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. I was visiting waverly for a work trip and ended up going to this restaurant 2/3 days it was open, only missing a day because I accidentally worked too late to order food (kitchen closes at 9). The food is affordable but doesn’t sacrifice quality. I tried the popper burger and dang near wept from what could only be described as a ratatouille moment. I’d also recommend the cheese curds because they will send your tastebuds to six flags. Pickle chips are remarkably crispy and don’t get soggy, worth their weight in gold honestly. This restaurant manages to make its way into my dreams and deserves 6 stars, I can’t wait to visit again!

This is my first time to the area, up here bow hunting. Locals told me this was the place to eat. I had the special with bourbon chicken and rice, absolutely fantastic. Great place to go if you’re in town and with great food and service. Kristin was my server, she’s GREAT!

I am obsessed and that is not an exaggeration. The prices are insanely low, the vibes are casual and inviting, and best of all: the food is incomparable. Our group got to try a solid variety of what they had to offer and nothing disappointed us. In one fell swoop, this has become a must do any time I am visiting or passing through. I would even take a significant detour just to eat here again!

Decent prices. The food was really good. We ordered fried mushrooms, the Beast burger, a pulled pork sandwich and macaroni and cheese. My boyfriend said the mac and cheese was amazing. Everything was really good definitely. Will eat there again.

My wife and I came to Beast and Bottle for lunch on a Thursday. I was disappointed the Pig Candy wasn't available. However, the food we ordered was fantastic! The new bartender (first day on the job) waited on us and she was fantastic, very friendly and professional.

Stopped while on a road trip. The food was exceptional. Family owned and ran, super friendly. Wish we had a place like this near our house. The brisket was perfect, just the right amount of smoke and doneness. Check the hours because they are only open a few days.

My order was excellent, Beast burger cooked perfectly to my request. Pulled pork, too 😋 The sides OMG... slaw, baked beans, hand cut fries, onion rings, cucumbers, and red onion pickles. More please! My order was to go, so I'll let you know about the atmosphere, next visit!

MUST GO! My fiance and I were stopping through town and stopped here on a quick whim, YUM! Super fast service and kind workers and the food was delicious it came out super quickly!!! The burger was delicious, the meat was perfectly cooked and juicy! Lots of flavor! In and out quickly with a good atmosphere!!! Would 100% come again just for the burger!!!! Clean bathrooms too! YUM YUM YUM! GET THE BURGERS!

After a week of anticipating the trip to the Beast and Bottle for good food, great music trivia and karaoke I was left with a big plate of disappointment. If I would have taken my family and friends (including my 70 year old mother) to a dive bar in the middle of the woods, I could except what happened at the Beast and Bottle. However, we endured an evening of fisticuffs that was condoned by the establishment. During our evening at the Beast and Bottle, a fight broke out among overly intoxicated men. These men were not kicked out of the establishment but continued to drink in the bar after the fight occurred. I would not recommend visiting this establishment without bringing your pepper spray and salt.

I've had their steak on Thursday only very good, the pig candy is awesome, pulled pork is solid very generous portions great vibe loved the servers.They could widen their beer selection but all in all solid Resturant.

So, I think the hubby & I are probably the last locals to finally eat at Beast and Bottle in Waverly. However, in case there are some of you out there who haven't been, my advice is...GO! Our food was excellent & the restaurant has a nice "local' ambience. We started with their cornbread fritters. They bring them out with a candle-warmed compound butter & the combo was dynamite ! Then, we both had brisket, which had a nice smoke & bark. He had regular fries (hand-cut), while I had sweet potato fries. They had a very nice assortment of sauces & my fav was the angry peach !! Nice to have a local place to grab some great bbq!

I'm not happy with the food at all the portions served in picnic containers is a real turn off. I don't like food fusion, where a corn bread is no longer really a cornbread muffin and potato salad is just awful tasting with all the flavors odd ingredients mixed together. This restaurant is a literal nightmare for someone with food allergies.

Server seemed a bit over whelmed. Maybe needed another server? A long wait for food , they weren't real busy so not sure what the 30 min wait for food. Ran out of special enchiladas. Food arrived hot and fresh!! Ordered Turkey sandwich and fries. Live music this particular night. It was a bit to loud and overwhelming.

BEST BBQ around!! The staff are always so nice and tentative to your table. You never have to ask for a refill, they are right there when you need it. The restaurant is so easy to find and I love the "down home" feeling.

Excellent food and service. Highly recommend both the brisket and pulled pork. Baked beans are also excellent. The nachos are huge.

Locally owned and operated. Great addition to our community. Awesome food and service! Corn fritters are a must. Beast Burger -- best burger in town! Korean FC Sandwich -- best chicken sandwich in town! Not your father's bbq joint!

We just ate at Beast And Bottle for the first time. The place was packed, which is always a good sign. And for good reason. The food was spectacular, as was the service. The owner was extremely nice, as well. She was taking an active role in the operation, which is always nice to see. Waverly has always needed a place like this. So happy it's here! Highly recommended! A+++++

My friend and I stopped for gas on our way home after a day on the lake. We talked about being hungry and looked up local places. This place came up with excellent reviews so we thought we would check it out. First of all, the service was outstanding! After we sat down, the cook offered us samples. We enjoyed some of the best BBQ I I've found in Ohio and I'm from Alabama so that's saying a lot. We had such wonderful service, we felt like we were in a high end restaurant! Our waitress was amazing! The price was so inexpensive for such high quality food and excellent service. I will make this a regular stop whenever I travel near Waverly

Great food, fun atmosphere nice local joint to hang out with friends. Porky blue favorite along with nachos.

My husband and I both ordered a burger and we both agreed that it was one of the best burgers we've eaten in a long time. The service was friendly and fast. We will definitely come back. Only negative comment is that there is Not lot of variety of beers on tap. 2 IPAs and a couple light beers.

Great food every time I have been there! Excellent service too! Only done takeout after the COVID-19 issues but still great food!

Every time I've been in, the service has been great and the food is fantastic. The atmosphere is welcoming. My only issue has been with having foods sold out but generally it's all good.

I always try to support local independents when travelling. Yelped up this place and decided to stop. Never been here before and sadly probably won't be again since it's two hours from my house. Food was great. Brisket moist and tender. I had it with NC vinegar sauce but there is a good variety of them. Sweet potato fries are hot and crisp. Skipped the marshmallow fluff which sounded awesome. I'm reducing sugar though :(. Service attentive and friendly. My only regret was no unsweetened tea. I get it. It's southern.

I ordered the Dill burger and it was fantastic. Recommend stopping in to a local eatery. The building has not been fancied up so it is casual. The bar area is larger than the dining area.

I absolutely love this restaurant, was up there tonight around 6 p.m, we drove about 25-30 mins to get there for their brisket, only to find that they do not serve smoked meat anymore but only on fridays n Saturdays.. ugh it's why we went in the first place.. Ended up getting the Turkey club n those hot onion rings ( I forgot the name of them) Which both were very good, but we ended up getting their nachos also which have a smoked meat on them, I tried to get it in a sandwich n no it didn't happen either. what we got was delicious, but still was very disappointed in no smoked brisket.. plz bring the brisket back.. thank you.
