I hosted a baby shower for my daughter at Beatrix at Oakbrook mall on Saturday January 4, 2025. I am from St.Louis, MO so had never eaten in one of their restaurants but one of my daughters top pick for her shower. The staff was wonderful to work with from a distance, the food was phenomenal, the service was excellent, and everyone that attended the shower had high remarks. Many had never eaten there even with most living in the Chicago area. A huge thank you to Cheryl for helping get everything set up, Lauren for working the party that day, and the two very very delightful waiter and waitress that worked our event. If considering renting a room for an event - don’t think twice - you won’t be disappointed. Susan Fulton

Walking into Beatrix you can feel the hard work put into designing this place. It is absolutely gorgeous! They have a great bar and wicked drinks! Their meatballs are probably my favorite item. Other than that the food is overall tasty, but nothing that is over the top. Some portion sizes are questionable. Their desserts are good too. Music and environment gets an absolute A+ and the workers are kind an approachable.

Finally; an eatery in which quality meets comfort. Beatrix boasts impeccable freshness of ingredients, superb meal presentation, and a well-tailored menu with unique, fun options providing appeal to a vast range of preferences. I must briefly highlight the lovely atmospheric qualities of this eatery: a lively, eclectic mix of music in rotation, variety of seating arrangement available, both versatility and optimization of the space itself, and of course, comfortable lighting/ tasteful decor (please refer to attached media). Beatrix attendants from door to table uphold the utmost professionalism via expedient, attentive service. Fair pricing as well, which is always a point worth mentioning. Hearty, yet not overwhelming, meal portions both satiate the appetite and make for great future enjoyment (in case any of my fellow leftover queens 👑 were wondering). Divine sweets as well, ideal for caffeinated accompaniment. Beatrix, thank you for the exemplary dining experience. Must-return in my book. 💎

Quiet little restaurant. Good for a light dinner. The coffee shop had excellent Americano. The Carmel cake was good as well.

Went here for breakfast with my mom and Aunt. My Aunt is the one who recommended this place and happy that she brought me here. The first time I stepped in I adored the ambiance of the place. We decided to sit outside which is great also. The food was so delicious and the service. I highly recommended and wish to go back again.

Beatrix is an upscale restaurant that truly stands out, but what made my visit unforgettable was a hidden gem on the menu—the Shakshouka. This dish, made with spicy tomato sauce, poached eggs, kale, feta, and toasted pita, was an absolute revelation. I wasn’t expecting to be completely captivated by a dish I had never tried before, but from the moment it arrived at my table, I knew I was in for something special. Visually, it was stunning, the vibrant red of the tomato sauce, the perfectly poached eggs resting delicately on top, the crumbles of feta adding a touch of creaminess, and the warm, golden pita on the side, ready to scoop up all that goodness. But it was the first bite that truly blew me away. The tomato sauce was bold, rich, and packed with spice, offering a deep warmth that lingered on the palate. The eggs were silky and luxurious, their runny yolks melting into the sauce, creating an indulgent texture. The feta added just the right amount of saltiness, while the kale provided an earthy balance that tied everything together. Every bite was a journey of flavors, spicy, tangy, creamy, and savory all at once. Dipping the toasted pita into the sauce, soaking up every bit of that incredible mixture, was pure perfection. Beatrix already had a reputation for excellence, but this dish alone makes it worth returning for. If you're looking for something unexpected yet deeply satisfying, the Shakshouka at Beatrix is an absolute must-try!

What a great breakfast spot. Beatrix offers both a sit down dining experience and a to-go coffee bar with pastry selections. I reserved a table for one and arrived to find it was mostly empty at 8:30am on Sunday. As a result I was able to sit at a low table as well by the window. The Green juice I had was a great starter before a classic Eggs, Bacon, Toast, and Potatoes. Food tasted great and my eggs were done perfectly, you will get exactly what you order for doneness. The bacon is a brown sugar bacon that while delicious may not exactly be your speed for breakfast. If that is the case I highly recommend the chicken sausage which is a better savory meat choice for breakfast (I ordered it in addition to the bacon). The waitress was very attentive and friendly. I noticed she was very accommodating to all her tables as more people rolled in, and she still had time to check in on me. I was able to order a Matcha Chai Latte to go because of it. This experience was on the pricer side but well worth the treat when you are able to go. This is an impressive breakfast spot for days that require impressive breakfast.

This is one of my favorite happy hour spots in the area! You can beat the mushroom quinoa burger with fries and a glass of wine or bear for $12 bucks! And that burger never disappoints! It is hands down the best I’ve had. Outstanding service and lively atmosphere keeps us coming back!

Yelp
The ambiance and service is always so great at Beatrix! The menu caters to many different diets but I just enjoy how fresh everything tastes. We had the feta dip as the appetizer and followed with a Baja chopped salad. Absolutely would recommend to come to Beatrix!

Yelp
I came here for the Chicago restaurant week lunch menu. The restaurant interior is very warm and inviting. Definitely a popular lunch spot for a lot of workers in the Oak Brook area. I made a reservation for 12 pm and the restaurant was already pretty packed on a Tuesday. Service was friendly and inviting. They're taking care of a lot of tables but still came by a few times to check in. I started off with the whipped feta appetizer, which was more sweet than I expected. The honey gave it a nice depth and the texture was amazing. It reminded me of mascarpone with how creamy it was. The chips made out of seeds gave the dish a nice texture and crunch. The chicken ginger kale salad was light and refreshing. Every piece of the salad was the perfect bite size and easy to pick up, which I appreciated. I loved the hints of coconut when you took a bite. The chicken was perfectly tender as well. The star of this meal was probably the caramel pie. It's the perfect silky texture and oh so decadent. I would come back to Beatrix just for this pie. If Dulce de leche was a pie, it would taste like this.

Yelp
The restaurant is nice inside. They have a coffee bar, liquor bar, a nice seating area with couches and chairs and then a decent size dining area. The service was good and the server was nice and helpful. We tried the fries as an appetizer. They were perfectly crisp with a little spice with crispy chilis and a lemon aioli on the side. I tried the blueberry non alcoholic drink and enjoyed it. The salad was very fresh and flavorful. My sister enjoyed the whitefish. Proportions were generous. I will come back!

Felicia D.

Yelp
Conveniently located and nice ambiance inside. We started with the guacamole. It was satisfactory, but could've used more seasoning and more chips for dipping. We asked for a few more chips. Our server put in an order for a plate of chips - extra $3.95 on bill - without telling us. We did not need a full order of chips for the two spoonfuls guac we had left. For entrees, we tried the whitefish, the primer burger and the short ribs. My son enjoyed his burger and rated it an 8/10. His fries were tasty, but they came in small pieces, like he got the fries from the end of the bag. My whitefish was good, but needed more seasoning. The mashed potatoes were delicious and I liked the sauce. The short rib dish was the best thing I tried all night. The meat was tender and flavorful as well as the brussel sprouts and potato puree. Overall, this was a nice place to have dinner. Our server wasn't the greatest in terms of energy or service but not bad.

Yelp
When in Rome, so as the Romans do; and when in Oakbrook, lean into your inner bougie-ness. With a couple hours to kill, I went to the Oakbrook Center and stopped in to the Beatrix coffee bar, and boy is it nice! Expensive but delicious juice (pomegranate / passion fruit), an embarrassment of fancy-looking (yet questionable) pastries, comfy worn leather furniture, and a comfortable bustle of suburban bougie people waiting for brunch. I'm not saying you'll forget that you're at a Lettuce Entertain You joint in a suburban mall, but I am saying that if you get over your urban prejudices, it is quite nice!

Yelp
We stopped in for a Saturday brunch. The place was pretty crowded, but we got one of the tables in the bar area. The ambience is so welcoming and cozy. We got the shakshouka - came with pita on the side. It was soo flavorful with the perfect amount of spice. We also got the ranchero breakfast burrito - it was so light, yet filling. The scrambled eggs were so fluffy and the salsa on the side was quite tasty. We got the pumpkin cream cheese coffee cake which was sooo good, not too sweet and good flavor. We also got coffee black and the apple butter latte - one of the best coffees I've ever had!! Might come back just for the coffee. The service was great...we were not rushed out..we took our time with the coffee and pastry. Overall a solid 5!!

Yelp
This was my first dining experience at Beatrix, but as I told our server, this won't be my last! I also told her that I would order the same exact meal for my next visit. This was a large, comfortable restaurant at Oakbrook Center. I reserved a table through the website but there was plenty of seating outside (too hot) as well as inside the restaurant. We were seated in the back by the kitchen where we had a view of some young people probably dining before Homecoming ( how sweet). We split an app of Kennebeck fries with preserved lemons, Calabrian chiles and aioli. It was crisp and delicious. I nibbled on a pepper, it was spicy. My entree was the slow cooked short rib with succulent tender meat in a sweet and hot sauce (red chili caramel) and some roasted Brussels sprouts. It was on top of a creamy potato. I thought the hot and sweet sauce, and the short rib was so good. My friend enjoyed their hot honey chicken. The service was friendly but it lagged a bit. Otherwise, a really enjoyable meal with a lot of options, even veg and vegan.

Yelp
What a lovely space. This is where healthy meets delicious; trendy menu items using newly harvested ingredients with fresh squeezed juices. There is also a drool worthy pastry counter with cookies, bars, scones and even pies. My husband started with a medium roast coffee; light cream and sugar. I started with a fresh juice; strawberry, watermelon and black cherry. My husband ordered the eggs your way; scrambled with white cheddar, hash browns, brown sugar bacon and wheat toast. I just had to try the lemon pancakes; made with ricotta, light and fluffy with blackberries and lemon syrup. Our server was super sweet and even delivered an almond muffin with a lighted candle to my husband. Wonder how she knew. On our way out, we stopped by the pastry counter and got cookies for later. One peanut butter and one lemon burst. Both were delicious.

Yelp
Came here with my girl friends for a celebration during their happy hour. We ordered everything on the appetizer menu which was enough to feed for 3 people. The portion was great, pricing was reasonable, and the service was wonderful. The interior design and the vibe was cozy with a modern touch. Definitely coming back to try other dishes on the menu.

Julie O.

Yelp
Beatrix Oakbrook is a great breakfast spot. Wonderful menu and attentive service. Ample parking. The coffee is tasty. The menu is modern but not too out there. Casual atmosphere. Use the Lettuce app for points.

Yelp
First time trying Shakshouka and loved it! We came to Beatrix for a birthday brunch and it was the perfect more upscale vibe. Everyone at the table loved their food and I felt the portion sizes were perfect as well (which often isn't the case with breakfast foods). The waiter brought over a pastry for my friends birthday and it was an overall success - will be back

Yelp
Beatrix's cafe is known for their baked good, especially their cookies!!! I love checking out the bakery counter before getting a table. You can order from a server and they can bring it to you at a sitdown. It's a fun dessert destination if you have a group of friends. Plenty of tables tables in the café area or dining room. - Magic cookie - they include everything from coconut, chocolate chips, toffee, & the kitchen sink (j/k) into this crispy masterpiece! - Lemon cookie - taste the zest of lemons in the cookie & lemon glaze - Peanut butter cup chocolate chip - huge chocolate chunks & an entire Reese's Peanut Butter Cup! - Angel food muffins - lemon & chocolate topped

Yelp
This Queso Dip was a meal in and of itself! I opted to not eat it with fried chips and instead was provided gratis corn tortillas. The pistachio crusted whitefish was perfectly prepared-flaky and light. I suggest that you squeeze lemon to cut the salt. My server Jack was not attentive enough as I had to call over another wait staff member twice, but he was pretty swamped so I still say 5 stars! The real on the menu is the "Oh my! Caramel Pie." This is one of the best desserts I've ever eaten and the Espresso Martini was the perfect compliment.

Paula P.

Yelp
Love this place but its been a year and I am still thinking about the caramel cake! I had a good lunch there during restaurant week last year, everything I had was delicious but that cake...OMG...and the coffee was also very good.

Jessica L.

Yelp
This was my second time dining in at this Beatrix location. My opinions about Beatrix's food hasn't changed since the first time. Both times, I felt that the food was disappointing, especially for the price point. I frequent Beatrix for their coffee and pastries, which I highly recommend. However, I cannot say the same for the food. The menu has lots of options. This time, we ordered the hot honey brussel sprouts, slow cooked short rib and hot honey fried chicken. The hot honey brussel sprouts were perfectly crispy and the hot honey sauce is so good. Unfortunately, the short rib lacked flavor. The different flavors of the dish from the sweet potatoes and red chili caramel weren't cohesive. The fried chicken was well fried, but lacked flavor. The kale and apple slaw was not slaw - it was sliced apple, radish and kale tossed together. The cornbread was the best thing on the dish. I'll definitely continue coming to Beatrix for coffee and pastries, but not for food.

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere. We had dinner here and everything was delicious. We had the guacamole appetizer which was one of the best I've had. The southwest salad was so good I've already tried recreating it at home. For dinner I had the fried chicken and my husband had the filet with lobster. The lobster was melt in your mouth. The fried chicken left a bit to be desired but it was worth it for the jalapeno cornbread muffin. Will definitely be back!

Shary E.

Yelp
They have a good gluten free menu. Food is good. Cocktails and wine selection is good. Atmosphere is good, but booths would be better because it's so loud you almost have to shout to be heard at your own table. Service could be better, but it's not bad. Would love a little more extensive bread service for gf.

Yelp
Beatrix is pretty much a staple in my family. We enjoy eating here for both breakfast and dinner. We recently visited for family dinner when we had relatives visiting. We enjoyed the Kennebec Fries and Popovers for starters. My family enjoyed the fries so much that another order was requested when the entrees came. 3 of my family members tried the spirit-free mocktails, and they were pleasantly surprised at how tasty and refreshing they were. For my entrée, I couldn't decide between the Wild Mushroom Teriyaki Bowl and the Faroe Island Salmon Bowl, so I asked our server for a recommendation. She said she enjoyed the flavor of the mushroom bowl the best but recommended adding salmon to it. That's exactly what I did, and I was not disappointed. My Dad typically orders the Mushroom & Quinoa Burger, and though he always enjoys it, after I let her taste my mushroom bowl, he said he would order that next time. I took a slice of Hummingbird Cake home. Our server described it as a carrot cake with warm spices, and she was spot on. It was a great way to cap off an already tasty meal. While I don't recall our server's name, I must say that she was extremely knowledgeable. She was able to answer every question we asked (and our table asked A LOT lol), but she answered in great detail. She knew flavor profiles about everything from the beer to the desserts and everything in between. We enjoyed her so much that my uncle even asked her to take a picture with him afterward. She was super sweet! I look forward to visiting again soon! #ImNotAFoodie #ImJustAGirlWhoLovesFood #YelpEliteSquad

Yelp
Been to several in Chicago and this location didn't disappoint. The angel food cupcakes are delicious!

Olivia B.

Yelp
Met a friend here for brunch and who knew it was the hottest spot in town??? Okay well she did which is why she made a reservation weeks in advance, and I recommend you do the same! I couldn't believe when I showed up just before 11 am on a Sunday the place was PACKED! Luckily we were seated within minutes of our reservation and the table was spacious! Everything was fantastic. The coffees were incredible. My friend had a cinnamon roll latte and got a dulce de leche iced latte to go. I had the iced hazelnut oat mocha and it was so creamy and delicious!! Funny enough we ordered the exact same thing to eat: their bacon cheddar and egg sandwich! I was most intrigued about the brown sugar bacon so I took a bite of that first and it was SO good. The sandwich was great and I used the aioli without finding it spicy (and I find everything spicy). We both ordered hash brown sides as well which were large portions. I would recommend if you like yours crispy to ask for them crispy. As you can see in the attached pic, ours came out with varying amounts of crispiness. Overall they had lots of good options and I hope to come back soon!

B G.

Yelp
I had never been to this place before so I wasn't sure what to order. I love pumpkin, so I went with the pumpkin angel food muffin and that was delicious. I love lemon so I went with the lemon blast which is more of a cookie full of lemony flavor, Of course I couldn't leave the baby out so I picked up a biscuit for him. The place is really nice inside and they had lots to choose from. I will definitely be returning when I'm in the area again. Next time I'd love to try one of their drinks.

Kathy M.

Yelp
Came in for Christmas Eve dinner and seated right on time with 5:00 reservations. We ordered and then I went to the bakery to grab some goods to go ahead of time. Be productive while watching my family was all on their phones anyways. I bought a 6 pack box of cookies( $19.99). This makes the perfect gift for someone btw. They are huge. Larger than crumble. The box is cute too! It works out being a better price. The lemon was going to be my favorite ( $5.95) - it was up there but don't ask me to pick favorites when it comes to cookies. Strangely the cream cheese coffee cake cookie, I kind of ate it so quick I didn't even get to share it. My family loved the almond joy. It tasted just like the candy bar. The Nutella I thought would be our youngest son's fave but he was like " gimme more of the almond joy". As for the dark chocolate chip cookie. Standard and tasty. Oh whoops, I started with dessert. That's right we did eat dinner first... I ordered the whitefish with fries on the side vs mashed potatoes. It was so soft and moist. Sitting on top of the dreamiest lemon butter sauce with a few cubed tomatoes and a sprig of chicory I think on top. It was truly delishous. So delishous i let go of the cold fries. Until my husband chimed in after our 16 yo said my chicken tortillas or whatever that was, I don't even feel like I ate. So I let him have my fries. Then the cold part kicked in :( I'm kind of a fry freak so when I eat them which I don't do often because I watch what I eat pretty carefully. I want them hot, salted just right and easy to not stop eating. So that was a bummer. My husband was irritated about the minimal portions for the price. Then there was a 3% added onto total bill before tip which put him over the edge I do love their mushroom burger so next time I'm just going to grab one to go and get the bakery to go to. We did not go to bed hungry. We ate 5 cookies ( I may have eaten 2 by myself as we were walking to the car through the mall ;) I love this place. The inside is cool and the food is great. The 4 is for the cold fries and the amount of food for the cost. I know I could have said something about the fries but I didn't want to make a scene which unfortunately turned into one.

Maggie M.

Yelp
The food were delicious. The fries had a little kick when you have them with the peppers. The sauce helped calm the heat. Next, the whipped feta with honey was sweet and went well with the seeded crackers. Had the pozole soup very light and warm. Should have ordered it when we ordered the appetizers, since it came at the same time as my entrée. The chicken enchilada was so good I ate the whole thing. It wasn't dry and the grape tomatoes were fresh. Though there were a lot of tomatoes and didn't eat them all. My favorite is the chocolate cake. It was so rich and just melts in your mouth. Had to have coffee to go with and got the hazelnut oat mocha. You can never have too much chocolate. Definitely need to come back to try more of the pastries and coffee. Tip for parking just park by Neiman Marcus. It's not that far of a walk. Most parking lanes by the restaurants were for valet.

Caroline Z.

Yelp
This is a great spot for brunch! I was visiting a friend in Oak Brook last weekend, and she made us reservations for brunch that did not disappoint. I ordered the quiche and an orange juice, and the flavors were delicious and perfectly portioned. The service was fast, and the price was good for the amount and quality of food. I really loved the decor of the restaurant. There were a ton of people from the second it opened, but I loved that it wasn't too noisy, and you didn't feel on top of other people. I would definitely go again next time I'm in town!

Linda A.

Yelp
Beatrix is a great place to get coffee and pastries before work. The service is quick, and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. It can be busy in the afternoon and evening, but if you like crowds and meeting new people, it's a fun place to visit.

Abigaile W.

Yelp
I like the ambiance. Its a nice softly lit space.I had the enchiladas. They were delicious, but I wish it would've come with a side of rice. Aside from that the service was good. The server was friendly and speedy.

Teri M.

Yelp
Mother's Day @ 6 pm. Reservation for 8. Seated immediately. Great service! Started with white cheddar popovers, and sweet corn and green chili queso. Both were delicious. Entrees included: blackened fish tacos, prime burger, straight A salad with chicken, wild mushroom teriyaki bowl, faroe islands salmon bowl, and strip steak chimichurri. Everyone enjoyed their meals. (I would post pictures, but I was so excited when the food was delivered, I forgot to take pictures! You'll have to take my word for it when I tell you everything was beautiful!) One of our diners ordered the short rib, and at the last minute, the manager came to our table to inform us that they had run out of short ribs. He offered our granddaughter any item on the menu at no charge. What a class act! He could have offered a free dessert, or simply apologized....but to let her pick anything, and comp her meal...now that's the way to get a five star review...and win a forever customer! We also had desserts including: chocolate chunk cookie, cinnamon roll cookie, vegan chocolate chip cookie, oh my caramel pie, and tall, dark, and handsome chocolate cake. All amazing! So in a nutshell...great service, great food, great handling of a small problem by management. Check was just around $300 before tip for 8 people (and that's with one entree not being charged for) so not cheap...but as the old saying goes...you get what you pay for....and we would not hesitate to recommend this place!

Melissa L.

Yelp
A great, healthy lunch spot for a bite to eat or a drink! I came here with my mom (vegan) and they had a lot of wonderful options for her. The service was prompt and really considerate of her food limitations. The restaurant had a cool hipster vibe, and was super spacious! Even more so than the locations in Chicago. We would definitely come back. I especially loved the mushroom quinoa burger. There was a nice big bar area with fun cocktail options, too!

Colleen B.

Yelp
There was a large piece of hair in my breakfast sandwich- GROSS! And if it wasn't bad enough they made us pay for my sandwich! Their method of rectifying was giving me a cookie I didn't want! Terrible customer service!

Niyla W.

Yelp
We were a bit in a rush, but we were able to get in and out just in time to get where we need to go after. We order a plain margarita which was good, a pink drink that I forgot the name of but it's in the picture and it was good. And another margarita that was pineapple flavor, also amazing. I wanted to try this espresso chocolate chip chocolate, and it was actually not bad, the middle of the cookie was soft, the outer part was a bit crunchy. We order food, in a rush so forgot to take a picture in time, but we got a turkey aujus sandwich which was fire, hot crispy fried chicken, and meatballs. All amazing. Server was great as well fast and allowed us to make it to our finally destination.

Emma L.

Yelp
Menu changes often but each time there something unique. Food is very yummy and filling. Never had a bad drinks or beer there either. Definitely worth traveling for. Also very cozy and nice vibe. Can't wait to go back!

Taylor B.

Yelp
We were lucky enough to be able to sit outside on a beautiful Sunday morning. I ordered the ham and cheese croissant, which came with a side salad with a lemon vinaigrette. My friend ordered avocado toast and added an egg. The toasted corn on the toast was a great addition and added really nice texture. After we finished our coffee we ordered a fresh pressed juice and kombucha, both of which were made in house. The service was great the entire time, though we did feel a little pressure to get in and out.

Iris P.

Yelp
HELLO RESTAURANT WEEK!!! We LOVE restaurant week and to kick off our delicious meals we went to Beatrix today for brunch! We started off with gluten free green yogurt, granola, mixed berries & jalapeño avocado toast! For our entrees we got a wonderful egg white omelet & spicy chicken tinga! For dessert pastries were a raspberry macaroon & banana bread!MY OH MY! Such a lovely brunch all combined with a blue mimosa & mango pineapple nectar this was the best kick off to restaurant week the menu was delicious the service was great and the place inside is beautiful!

Jen K.

Yelp
This is my Go To "nice" breakfast spot. Beatrix had the fancy coffee drinks and a full bar, "meat and eggs" and the fancy shashouka eggs, your basic burger and a phenomenal mushroom burger (on a brioche bun!)... they have options! Bring your vegetarian friends and your hard-to-please parents;) They will find something! Servers are always great. Sometimes they're even above great! We had a special birthday and our server really went above and beyond! It's the little things. This is a Lettuce Entertain You restaurant so they charge the 4% fee to all bills. That's fine with us as most restaurants now have something like that, but keep this in mind. While this place is almost always buzzing, we've never felt rushed to finish our 2nd latte. They allow you to sip and enjoy! And I really appreciate that:)

Charlotte T.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday morning around 10 AM and got seated immediately. The place had plenty of tables open, but had a really nice energy. This is my first time here, and I absolutely loved it! All of our food was amazing. The only thing that I was slightly disappointed on, was the baked French toast. I felt that it was a little bit dry, and over baked. But once you put some compot and syrup on it, it docked it up and was great. Everything else was also amazing, and I definitely look forward to coming back here for dinner.

William A.

Yelp
This was an accidental find ......... while shopping with exquisite company on a super beautiful Sunday We bumped into Beatrix This had such a jazzy urban down home feel Everything was super amazing We chatted for hours

Fabian G.

Yelp
Very cute restaurant, had a nice vibe . Great staff. Food was great, very fresh tasting.

Madison K.

Yelp
I just can't. The food is good. The interior is pleasant. The service is so mean to me that I just can't overlook it. This Heathers. Think Mean Girls. Think about every junior high girl bully ever. Then pick a different restaurant. Two stars because you can bypass the service by using grubhub.

Georgie P.

Yelp
Amazing addition to the oak brook mall area! Also bringing this gem from the city to the burbs. Had a great table with a couch on one end and it's so well decorated inside with a great view of the kitchen. Had a wonderful attentive waitress who refilled my coffee and families sodas multiple times! Food was simply amazing: I had the chia seed pudding with Brown Sugar Bacon, and my family members had the breakfast sandwiches and baked fresh toast all to die for! Ended off with some deliciously prepared Kouign amann and cookies :)

Yelp
Excellent menu. The chicken enchiladas were great! The service was great as was the relaxed ambiance. Easy to recommend without concern for any dietary preferences. I'll look forward to coming back.

Yelp
My friends and I came here for lunch after my friend's graduation. It was super busy on a Saturday afternoon around 1 pm but we were able to get seated fairly quickly for a table of 5. The restaurant is huge with a very nice atmosphere. There was a coffee bar area too which was something I wish I checked out. The food was amazing. We got Brussels sprouts, the mushroom quinoa burger, Mac and cheese, and a few other items that I don't remember but know that my friends liked what they had. I have to say the mushroom quinoa burger and Mac and cheese were SO GOOD and I would highly recommend. Price point was around 17-20 for each item and the total with tip came out to be $140ish for one drink, 2 burgers, 2 sandwiches, 1 Mac and cheese, and 1 Brussels sprouts.

Yelp
The main selling point here was the ambiance - like a dinner lounge but with brunch. Think big wood tables, soft leather couches. Had an upfront area that was more like a traditional cafe but we were seated in the back. Lovely black and white photos of classic rock and roll stars on the wall. The turmeric latte and ricotta pancakes were standouts. Many vegetarian options. All in our mixed age party were welcome and happy with the vibe.

Yelp
Came here for brunch on a recommendation from one of my cousins. Upon walking in and hearing the 80's music playing I knew right away this place was going to be a vibe! Started off with a honey lavender latte and a Kouign aman. The Kouign aman was a lot bigger than I've seen previously but extremely tasty! The lavender latte was good but all the honey and lavender syrup sit at the bottom of the mug so do t make the mistake I made and forget to stir it or else the last sip will be pure honey. I got the A Wonderful White Omelet. I was torn between this and the biscuits and gravy and to be honest wish I had gone with the biscuits and gravy. Don't get me wrong, the omelet was very good, it came with turkey bacon that you can sub for a different protein and it comes with toast. The thing is, it being egg whites only, it's not super filling so I was a bit hungry still after finishing. Also had the orange mimosa which I was only able to taste champagne in it so it was definitely strong but still one didn't hurt. Our server was super attentive and patient. I'll definitely be back to try the biscuits and gravy!

Yelp
This place is pretty cool.. I love the decorations and food was so good. It's literally in the mall across the Cheesecake Factory. So tons of parking but valet was just easier. The service was prompt and nice. I got to come back again. The menu was simple. I did not try their desserts. But will come back again and try more things off the menu.

Yelp
My second time visiting this restaurant and overall I think it's a very nice place for evening dinner. Upscale vibes and nicely done interior aesthetic in the middle of restaurant row in Oak Brook mall. Service was pretty good, we were there to celebrate a friends birthday and catch up with old friends, I think the server caught on to that and didn't rush us on our orders letting us have all the time we needed to chat. The cocktails were pretty much great we all loved every drink that was ordered. Also had some nice appetizers (Brussels sprouts were a big hit). I ordered the cavatelli chicken bolognese and thought it was delicious.... I had enough to take home and finish for lunch the next day. I would have liked some more options for the entrees on the menu as I didn't feel like there was enough to choose from. I was kind of in the mood for shrimp and they just didn't have that at all so I was a little bummed. And lastly the parking situation isn't ideal for the area in general. They do have valet but if you want to park by yourself be prepared for the longer walk.

Yelp
The setting was my favorite thing about this place. The food was my second favorite. The caesar salad was really good if a little sour, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Also gotta mention the service, coz it was impressive how fast they were considering how many people were at the restaurant. This place is popular for good reasons. I loved it here :D
