Beau Bien Fine Foods

I love Beau Bien Fine Foods! I have been buying, eating and gifting their jarred jams and chutneys for years and I'm so excited there is a storefront now in Eastern Market. I couldn't think of a more appropriate spot for them. I love the care they put into their products and that the ingredients are locally sourced. I also appreciate the time and care placed into their ever-changing daily menu, which seems to be based on what the best ingredients available at the time are. I always find myself coveting whatever delicious item they've posted on their page as a lunch item of the day. My personal current favorites of their popular jams/preserves are the Plum Cardamom and Cherry Star Anise. They use a lower sugar recipe, so these aren't too sweet, which is a problem I have with many jams. Katrina is absolutely amazing! We started talking outside. Before we knew it, she brought a table outside so we could hang out and drink some beers since the brewery across the street would not allow inside seating. The jams were so good that I purchased 4 before we left! We had such a great afternoon hanging out with her. Thank you!!!

I love this company ! The use the best ingredients and make every batch with love and care. I love the flavor combinations in every preserve. My favorite is the herbed red onion marmalade, and im not a fan of onions! It adds such flavor to dishes. I also love Peach Lemon Lavendar, with cream cheese and bagels. This is not your ordinary JAM !!

Looks quaint - opens at 11:00, at 11:40 with evidence of no business, no one - in fact hostess is distracted , " Do you have soup today? Yes, tomato, wonderful may I have a bowl to go? Yes - only they have no soup". The café is not ready for business. The small craft jars of jams and mustards are overpriced at $9.00 and $10.00 for 8 ounces. Very Disappointing - be prepared for limited, very limited choices - no soup and only one offered. Recommendation to owners - don't open for business if you aren't prepared.

Wonderful product, love the variety! The new owner is an absolute joy to talk to! Can't say enough good things. If you're nervous to try the more adventurous flavor combos- don't be :) they're very tastefully crafted
