"Even with a steady supply of potential customers, some bars in Deep Ellum chose to stay closed for now. Beauty Bar remained dark." - Daniel Rockey

"Beauty Bar, a longtime nightlife fixture in Knox-Henderson, is kicking off its new life in Deep Ellum this weekend. The bar owned by Brooke Humphries vacated its spot at 1924 N Henderson Avenue this winter with plans to move to Deep Ellum at 2805 Main Street (the former Knox-Henderson home will be torn down for new development). Now the doors are opening on Saturday to Beauty Bar’s new spot, and CultureMap Dallas reports that the space will be bigger with a sparkly, glittery dance floor and high-end sound system. Beauty Bar’s first party on Saturday has a “cosmic” theme. The bar posted on Instagram: “Saturday, DJ Blake Ward invites you to the soft launch of an all new party, in the new Beauty Bar Dallas located at 2805 Main Street in Deep Ellum. No matter what corner of the galaxy you hail from, our dance floor is open! House, Indie Dance, Disco, 80’s Synth beats, and Party Jams that make you move your feet are on the playlist.”" - Adele Chapin

"Beloved Knox-Henderson nightlife spot Beauty Bar will soon have a new home. According to an alcohol permit application filed with TABC, owner Brooke Humphries will relocate Beauty Bar to the insanely bustling Deep Ellum district at 2805 Main Street in the spot directly next door to Stirr. Beauty Bar’s current location at 1924 N Henderson Avenue will be torn down in about five months, Humphries tells Eater, presumably to make way for new development." - Alaena Hostetter

Beauty Bar is tons of fun! It is small, and it has a tendency to get extremely crowded on the weekends, but overall a great little spot! The crowd is hit-or-miss, but the music is always fantastic. Great drinks at a reasonable price. Love the patio! Just make sure you use the restroom before hand to avoid waiting in a potentially long line.

Visited this place while visiting a friend back in June. We had seen pictures, but we weren’t exactly sure what to expect. My friend and I arrived a bit before the peak hours on a Saturday night. The decor is like a retro salon and is very cool! The place is pretty small, but we still had a great time! The bartenders were fast, fun and friendly. The music was a great mix of newer music and some older favourites. My only complaint was that the lines for the restrooms were a bit long, but that’s not a huge deal. We will be back soon!

They no longer offer martinis and manicures. The staff was rude and unhelpful. When you walk in, you feel like you've stepped on to the set of 'I Love Lucy', but then the smell hits you and it still smells like the 50's. I had friends in town and had read great reviews online and we were excited to try the martinis and manicures. We arrived at 7 and the doors were locked, although their opening times on the web stated they were open. The bartender reluctantly opened the door and said he guessed we could come in, but the times on the internet were wrong. They said they no longer offer martinis and manicures but 'corporate' refuses to take it off the website. We asked about drink specials and the bartender said they didn't have a drink menu, not that anything was suggested or offered as a good choice. We asked about food and we were told their sister bar across the street offers food, but it's 'bar food - not 5 star or anything'. Such a disappointing experience...I would recommend you NEVER go there. Negative 5 stars.

Go here on Thursday for a free dance party until the bar closes at 2. Every time I've been, it was lit 🚒 DJ blasting dance & hip-hop at an overcrowded room of twenty and thirty somethings. Always a diverse crowd and a fun time in a cool neighborhood apart the huge Dallas scene.

Would have given 5stars but Asian guy behind the bar was rude... The air wasn't working in the club we stood in front of a fan they had out he said we was blocking the fan so he unplug it and took the fan... Besides that we really enjoyed our night. Music was on point and the drinks OMG we will definitely be back hopefully that one bartender won't!!!

This place is a fusion of real beauty salon during the day and great LGBTQ friendly bar with dance floor and life DJ performance during the night. There is no entrance fee and valet parking is available. However, the drinks are quite expensive a beer in a can costs 6-7 $. Most evenings there are very hip and beautiful people dancing here. If you like to party hard you can warm up your extremeties here. Highly recommended!

When informed that someone was raped they did not care. Way to make customers feel safe. Hopefully you get shut down. Also, way to turn off your reviews on Facebook. Seems you definitely don’t want people to know you condone rape!
