Beaver Creek Chophouse

Had a great all-around experience at the Beaver Creek Chophouse. We dined during apres hours, the food was great, the service was outstanding and the menu is wonderful for apres. They even took a nice framed picture of us which was pretty cool. This is one of the better restaurants in Beaver Creek Village, we will definitely be returning!

Chophouse has that rare combination that instantly feels “right” the location, the rhythm of the room, the precision of the service, and food that tastes intentionally crafted rather than simply assembled. During the day they run two distinct sections, and it actually changes the experience in a smart way. The bar side is designed for a faster lunch with a lively, efficient pace, while the dining room invites you to settle in, slow down, and treat the meal like an occasion. That flexibility alone makes it a standout, especially in a ski town where timing and mood can change by the hour. The menu is strong across the board, but what impressed me most is how well they execute comfort food with fine dining discipline. My personal favorites are the burger and the rib sliders, and both deliver the kind of satisfaction that comes from balance, not heaviness. On my last visit, I ordered the tomato soup with grilled cheese, and it deserves real praise. The soup’s texture is exceptionally smooth, almost velvety, with a clean, even consistency that feels deliberate rather than blended into submission. The flavor is balanced and confident: rich tomato depth without harsh acidity, rounded by a gentle sweetness, and finished in a way that leaves your palate warm instead of overwhelmed. It’s the kind of bowl that makes you pause after the first spoonful because everything is in the right place. Then the sliders, which were truly the highlight. The ribs are cooked to that ideal point where they don’t just fall apart, they melt. The meat is tender and succulent, but still structured enough to feel luxurious rather than messy. Every bite is soft, rich, and deeply savory, with the kind of slow cooked intensity that tastes like patience. This is not “good for a quick meal” this is excellent, full stop. Even the mulled wine was handled with surprising precision. The spice blend is exactly where it should be warming and aromatic, not aggressive. The proportions feel calibrated: enough clove and cinnamon to perfume the glass, but never so much that it turns medicinal or overly sweet. It’s cooked properly, too, hot and comforting, but not scorched, with a smooth finish that makes you want another sip immediately. Chophouse is an ideal stop during a day of slope exploration, and it transitions effortlessly into apres or dinner. It’s the kind of place you can come for something quick and satisfying, or sit down and let the evening unfold, and either way, you leave feeling like you made the right choice.

Absolutely loved this restaurant. My family of 6 enjoyed our food. The filet with bernaise sauce, Brussels sprouts, and French onion soup are amazing! My family enjoyed the fried chicken and French fries as well. I highly recommend this restaurant! The service was great too.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chop House Beaver Creek, and I can confidently say it deserves every bit of a 5-star rating! From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a stunning view of the mountain that perfectly complements the upscale yet cozy vibe. It’s the kind of place where you feel instantly relaxed and ready to enjoy a memorable meal. The menu is a delight, and we couldn’t resist trying a variety of dishes. The homemade chicken fingers were an absolute standout—crisp, juicy, and packed with flavor, especially when paired with the truffle fries, which were perfectly seasoned and indulgent. The lollipop wings were another highlight, tender and glazed with a sauce that had just the right kick. The shrimp and ahi poke brought a fresh, vibrant taste to the table, beautifully prepared and bursting with quality. We also loved the Caesar salad—crisp, tangy, and made with care—while the sweet potato fries added a delightful sweetness to balance the savory dishes. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who made us feel truly welcomed. Every bite was a testament to the kitchen’s skill and passion. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Chop House Beaver Creek is a must-try gem that combines incredible food with an unforgettable view. I can’t wait to return!

Came to stay at Beaver Creek for vacation, found this place Kist by walking by, 1/2 dozen oysters to start were pretty good! Dinner was a filet medium rare with bleu cheese and mushroom topping. Steak was also very very good. Galo, my waiter was attentive and super nice. I would definitely return and recommend giving this place a try!

The fish dishes were loved by everyone. They came full of couscous and veges.. my filet was cooked well, but no sides were part of the cost. So, $65 for the filet, shared mashed potatoes (nothing special) and a salad (it was average) that we had to pay to split. Seems excessive to pay for side dishes on a very expensive cut of meat.. how much can a price of broccoli and a potato cost?? The atmosphere is nice at lunch with the slope side view but at night, it was noisy, blinds down on our side window, four lamps above were off or burned out bulbs, glaring can lights kind of killed the mood. A photographer and magician lent a cruise ship vibe to the place. The 4 photos printed up and in a paper frame were $70.. do they even sell any? Everyone has their phone for photos. I’m sure the magician wanted tips, he never came to our table, but targeted families. I assumed this would be a fine dining experience based on the dinner prices. We got apres burger vibes instead. Great if that’s what you want but we won’t be going back for a holiday family dinner. I’m saving up for one of the many other amazing restaraunts in the valley next time the family comes.

Took my family for lunch here. We were served by Milan. As I’ve stated before in all my restaurant reviews, service accounts for 50% of my star rating. And Milan was one of the best. He is attentive and so friendly. It’s great that you have a kids menu since it allows the adults to have a menu with better foods than the typical ski lodge menu while the kids can have their typical favs like Mac n cheese, chicken fingers, burgers…etc. The outdoor seating ambience at the Beaver Creek Chop House is fantastic. You can bask in the sun and watch skiers coming down some steep blacks right before you.

Lunch kitchen team is too lazy. Too much prepped food that is cold by the time it’s ordered and served… fish tacos, chicken tenders and French fry’s were all cold and limp. It use to not be this way. Needs to change. Horrible food experience at lunch. Dinner was great the other night though… server was great. Please fix asap. Long time guest.

Someone else noted they expected one level and got another. That's always been my experience here. The last visit outperformed expectations. That's the standard set and the standard expected.

We visited here during a recent visit to Beaver Creek. I ordered the chicken as pictured, my kid and husband ordered a burger. My food was delicious, the mashed potatoes were a pillowy mountain and I could have eaten that again and again. The chicken was crispy and delicious. The gravy boat was small but just enough to enhance the taste. My husbands burger was cooked as expected and delicious. My kid is celiac so must be gluten free. We asked for mashed potatoes instead of fries or something else GF and they wouldn't substitute. Instead they charged us extra for the GF bun and no credit for the lack of side. For that experience we wouldn't recommend as we prefer restaurants that are flexible for people that don't have any other choice but to eat gluten free. If you don't have food allergy requirements this is a good stop. If you do I would skip.

Loving this place! Service is great! They let us choose our favorite booth to sit! The oysters are good and the charcuterie board is fun. We ordered the filet and lobster with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts! Loved everything. Ambiance is perfect. Soft lighting with great music that's not too loud.

Skiing at Beaver creek. Great place to hang while grandkids are hitting the slopes! Milica was an amazing waitress in a chaotic setting. Was very attentive and kept coming around to check on me. The Expresso Martini was a great starter. Followed by a couple Voodoo Ranger IPA, with a charcuterie board to compliment the beer. If you are done skiing and just want to relax, I would recommend this place!

Nice views of the ski hill. Food was ok. Steak was overcooked (I ordered medium rare) and dry/unseasoned. The bernaise was thick and almost like a thousand island dressing - not worth the upcharge. Caesar salad was heavy dijon and otherwise bland. Server was busy and casually attentive. Best part was the Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.

This is maybe the second best filet I've ever had. Filet with the bernaise sauce, bacon Brussels sprouts, and the French onion soup were delicious. The service was also amazing.

I ordered the Chilean sea bass and it was delicious. Don't put the sauce as it is salty but a little makes it so tasty! My coworker has the chicken! It was huge and look very crispy.

Overall we went looking for a fine dining experience. Based on the prices we thought we were going to get that, but we were let down. An undercooked steak that lacked flavor forced me to send it back only to get it overcooked. For 74$ I would expect a good quality steak that is atleast cooked close to what my desired temperature. Andres the server was attentive and good and made the experience better. The restraunt itself did look outdated and gave the feeling of an older steakhouse that only serves good burgers. My party only ordered steaks so maybe next time we will just order a burger and some of that good lobster mac and cheese. I wish this place was like the other location in vail.

We came here with a larger group and one of the things I do want to give kudos for is the fast and extremely attentive service. For every request or substitution they were accommodating and kept our table in mind. We sat outside and they provided nice shade and excellent views! Both my spouse and I got the filet and frites and while it was good, it wasn't anything at the level I expected. There wasn't a ton of flavor to the steak and my spouse's was also well over the medium cooking preference they requested. Others did seem to enjoy their salads and sandwiches so its something to keep on mind for future visits.

The burger was delicious and had many options for toppings. The chicken fried steak with gravy was also pretty good. We also enjoyed the bread appetizer with different butters. The waitress was very attentive and the ambience was good. The only thing that I had an issue with was a dirty spoon and plate that was put on our table.

Great restaurant- wonderful food and ambiance (mountain side @ Beaver Ck ski base). Despite a little snark when we questioned whether the tea would be unsweetened tea, ("yes, this is Colorado ") the service was excellent. They even moved our entire large party of 15 inside when it began to rain!

Awesome during a fresh snow taking the sleigh ride up the mountain covered with horse blankets. Truly a great dinning experience. The atmosphere was lively with fire places crackling and a jovial staff. The martinis were exceptional great after a hard day of skiing.

We ordered a couple of appetizers which were small for the price we paid and average as far as taste. The drinks were OK but nothing special. The service was slow, but the view was beautiful. Beaver Creek is expensive for a reason and this place lets you know it.

A very prominent restaurant that falls short and greatly disappoints. It's located in PRIME real estate- right at the bottom of the centennial lift as the base of Beaver Creek. They take reservations and have bar seating, high top window side seating or main dining room seating. The view is good in the winter and Mikey amazing in the summer. That's where the pro's end. We dined based on a tip for watching the Thursday fireworks. We reserved and asked for a table with a view of the fireworks. We were sat at a hightop in the bar but had a wall and not a window but we asked for another open table and the hostess quickly reseated us. We were greeted a bit delayed but still fine. Upon our waiters arrival I did ask to confirm that we could see the fireworks- he didn't know but said he would ask. When he returned we were told we could not which was incorrect (later we saw them fine amd they were actually very short in duration). We were offered bread but never any side plates nor silverware. I waited a while to find our waiter or anyone walking by and eventually got up and snagged some from a nearby table. FYI- The menu is all 30-50/entree. Several items were very high- $70.00 etc. and none of the steak, lamb and none of the entrees even included a side. I always evaluate the children's/young adult menu as our children usually dine with us and we do have high expectations. Sadly the young adult menu was disappointing and over priced . Par for the course. ‍ Chicken fingers. Grilled cheese. Mac and cheese....JUNK !!!.... a cheeseburger..... Our children opted for a steak and the pasta. The steak was about 4oz (we had no idea how small it was) and was offered with fries or carrot sticks! We asked for a different side and was offered a side salad or Caesar. We opted for the side salad. My other child had the pasta which was literally noodles and red sauce. ZERO protein. Again we swapped the junk side for a salad. I was not very hungry and opted to share some of my husbands burger (it was really yummy) and said we would be fine with an extra plate. The waiter insisted they could split it in the back. Our waiter then disappeared and we never saw him again. One of the kids wanted to order a drink but no one was around so again I had to get up and this time I went to the bar to order a drink. Finally someone came by and checked on us and took our plates. We received the check and were shocked to see that every...single... food price was higher than the menu. I called over the person who had last visited and inquired- 1- where was our waiter? Oh- he left. He didn't feel good and no one told us. 2-why we're all the prices different then advertised? Turns out those kids meals side salads were a hefty up charge each despite the fact that we ditched our other sides - we didn't add to them. We also were charged a hefty split charge again- never having been warned. I walked out fuming. I absolutely can't stand when there is no communication. If you are trying to be a five star, high-end restaurant, you should hold yourself to a higher standard. The BC chophouse fell grotesquely short, not only on the care and communication to the guests, but also in terms of the offerings and associated price. Places like this are what gives BC a bad name. I should've asked for a manager but just was so over it I almost walked on the check.

Have been regular diners at BCCH for many years. The kitchen has been consistently solid while the service component has come off the rails as most recently experienced at a late (1:30p) lunch around the last week of June (started on this review the following day but just getting back to finishing) on a very slow afternoon while there were perhaps six occupied tables and an abundance of wait staff outdoors. We observed at least one supervisor/manager on hand, possibly more, but sometimes it's difficult to tell supervisors from servers when supervisors and management are disconnected from the service team. I digress. We were greeted by a friendly, but very new server from Mumbai. We exchanged pleasantries about his native India and my upcoming visit there. A very kind, gentleman, quiet, and COMPLETELY UNTRAINED AND UNSUPERVISED. He lacked confidence (being untrained) and was completely unfamiliar with the bar or food menus--his grasp of English was below average even for Vail Valley summertime seasonal service persons. Ladies and gentlemen, THAT'S NOT HIS FAULT. Here on a H-B visa trying to support his family back home. Management, if there was any present, should never have put this gentleman in front of paying customers. Both he and customers deserve better. This gentleman should have been accompanied by a trainer and assisted him to service our table of four. We were cheated out of a lunch because this gentleman was simply overwhelmed by questions we had about the menu and nuances of the English language. I don't complain to servers. I don't send things back to the kitchen under any set of circumstances. I don't eat it if Iv didn't order it. I don't eat it if it doesn't come out right. I simply pay, leave the server a generous tip, and don't come back if there is not a manager available to make it right. I would rate this experience right up there with the worst I've encountered worldwide. If this is the best BCCH can do, just shut your doors and call it a day! A management debacle.

So I had a less than stellar takeout experience here mid-Covid in 2021, but decided to come back for an in-person visit at the end of 2022 and was pleasantly surprised at how well it went. I'll start with the three standouts: 1) the filet, 2) the service from Ken, 3) the magic show from Dan. My wife is very picky about filet and béarnaise sauce, and she was extremely happy with the steak she received here. I tried a few bites and it was one of the most tender filets I've had; amazing. I had the wedge salad and it was also wonderful; it includes these little peppers the menu describes as "sweety drop peppers" which I've not encountered before, very unique flavor I enjoyed. My bison burger was cooked perfectly to the temp I ordered, medium rare, so plenty of pink in the middle but still warm. That burger is also HUGE; you could easily split and share it. Drinks; the margaritas are very good. A margarita with mezcal is even better and they're happy to make it. Finally, I was cold, so I threw a curve ball at our server Ken and asked for a hot chocolate with bourbon and Bailey's in it. He brought me exactly what I wanted; hot, delicious, and I wasn't cold anymore. Next up, something I never expected. Resident magician Dan shows up at our table and blew the mind of our eight year old, and I was thoroughly impressed with his sleight of hand tricks as well. He was awesome; what a great surprise and enjoyable evening.

We visit BC each summer and make Chop House one our visits for dinner. We've had excellent service in the past, but this visit was different. Food was excellent, service not so much. Waiter started out strong and then fizzled to a no show. He took our order (did not ask us if we wanted something other than water) and only returned to give us our check. Lots of servers bustling about....but, our guy was...m.i.a. Had to ask other servers for drinks (other than water), refills and additional bread order. Expected better service than we received - especially for the cost of their food. Disappointing.

Charged me for the "free bread" that is customary in every US restaurant my entire kife. Looking outside view if all the flags from different countries. For some reason they had some gay rainbow flag outside as if this was one of the countries. Gross. Someone should tell them that woke has been cancelled.

I love this place! I've been here so many times over the years. The food and drinks have always been excellent, along with the service. Even during the pandemic. They have it down, even when the place is hopping. And the location can't be beat after skiing. It isn't cheap but nothing in BC is. Everything I've had here has been so yummy and worth the extra cost. From the fish tacos to the steak - it has all been yummy and the cocktails have been amazing.

We had the lunch menu instead of the Dinner menu. They were completely sold out on reservations for dinner. We started off with the crab cakes, pork belly sliders and a salad for appetizer. My husband ordered the chicken strips with truffle fries and I had the lobster roll. I also ordered the spiced Wine. The crab cakes were my favorite thing beside our server! The food was great but i would like to see what the dinner menu offers. Our server was amazing, her name was Meghan! I've never had spiced wine but she let me try it and it was so delicious! Also all her recommendations were really great. She was extremely nice and attentive! She also told us the dinner menu is extremely good!! We would definitely come here again. She also sold us on desert and the Mexican hot chocolate drink. They were both good! Today it's about 19 degrees outside abs a snowy day so this was a perfect end to the meal.

Very friendly to celiac diners We have been apres ski dining here for years. We decided to continue the tradition this year and have been very pleased with both the food and the service. Our kids are welcome and they have good items on the menu for them. The burgers and salads are incredible. This service this year is also top notch. The servers are all very friendly, knowledgeable and detailed. We have had a wonderful experience this season and will be back often.

Good food, bad value - even for Beaver Creek. 5 adults and two children under 3, still charged automatic 20% gratuity for ok service. Each adult had an entree and two drinks, 3 sides to share. Never had a $700 casual patio dinner until now.

This was our 2nd visit to Beaver Creek Chophouse and both visits rated 5 stars! The steaks were cooked as exactly as requested. The sides were amazing (get the bacon Brussel sprouts!), dessert(chocolate chip ice cream sandwich) was fantastic and service was great! We went on Thursday night and were able to see the fireworks over the slopes. We had a 5:30 reservation and got a table near the window and the fireworks were at 6:20. I think if you go later, you get seated further from the windows and don't see the fireworks. We also really enjoyed the magician walking around. A great experience for kids (they have a kids menu) and adults!

My brothers wedding party afterwards came here! Delicious food, and amazing staff. Highly recommend!

My family of 4 had dinner. There are no individual sides, just large "family" portions so you'll get more food/waste money if you're the only person in your party that wants a particular side. My steak was undercooked so I only ate the portion that was actually cooked. Don't get the key lime martini unless you like lemon since it's made with lemon liquor and the only lime is a slice on the side of the glass. Very over priced for what we ordered. Worst part is that 3 of 4 family members got food poisoning and had a really bad experience the entire next day. The best part was the very nice magician Dan. He had great tricks!

Went here on a Sunday night for a vacation bday celebration. They accommodated a late change because they said we reserved the wrong day. Service was good. Attentive, accommodating and she checked in on us regularly. We ordered a lot of food and everyone enjoyed their meal. The only meal we didn't enjoy was the Tomahawk steak because it was too rare we had to send it back to be cooked more. Seafood tower was good but we've had better. They gave us a free bday dessert but it was a pretty pricey dinner mostly because we ordered a lot.

my salmon was cold and way too expensive. eh. food came out fast but was not very yummy. ew ew ew

Best Carrot Cake I think I've ever had, no joke. Possibly worth a trip just for that if you dig carrot cake. Charcuterie plate is also really excellent. And pro tip, that delicious creamy cheese they they place under the pita chips is so delicious and creamy because, as I embarrassingly discovered today, it's a pad of butter. The honey with honeycomb is also a highlight. Their Bloody Mary is also very tasty and the bacon add on is worth it. I recommend this spot and will be back!

Not what we were expecting!! We had reservations and were seated in the bar that was very loud. Our server was only there for a wage because he wasn't very friendly. My husband had the pork shank which was good but I had the filet and it was stringy. Probably grass fed because it was also flavorless. Sorry for the review but we were just expecting a better experience.

my boyfriend & i came while on our winter vacation in beaver creek and this dinner was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. the food was absolutely delicious, everything, i'm not kidding. the drink was amazing & the service was exceptional. the ambiance was also very nice. not too loud and very family friendly. i can't wait to come back. some of the best food i've had in a while.

The final night of the ski trip ended with a nice steak dinner. To start, I'd like to say the waiter we had was amazing. He made the experience that much more enjoyable. He was easy to talk to and helped us all feel a lot home. The table got a nice bottle of wine and some oysters to start. Following the oysters the table got to enjoy some warm bread with butter while we waited for our orders. I went with the ribeye and side salad for my main entree and the carrot cake for dessert. The wine and appetizers were great and everything I expected. The steak was on the salty side which was disappointing. I could have gone without the large drop of butter on the steak. The carrot cake was really good. Other than the steak the rest of the experience was enjoyable.

Get the espresso martini, trust me. The fish tacos were fresh, full of flavor and delicious. During the summer this is a great lunch/ afternoon spot with their huge patio and bar area.

The service was outstanding and the food....absolutely delicious. We will definitely come back here.

I don't mind an expensive meal, if the value is there; in this case it was not. Ribeye was not the best; gristle. Sirloin was very good. Mashed potatoes were blah, just short of powdered. Brussels were good and the bacon wrapped asparagus was forgettable. Service was less than fast and attentive. You would think someone getting a $75 tip for 4 people would be 'present'.

Had the best burgers, lobster roll and drinks out on the patio during Octoberfest. Service was pretty good too.

Let me preface by saying that I don't like writing negative reviews. However, after a 20 minute wait at the Beaver Creek Chophouse with no service at all, I am driven to have to. The staff saw us and did not make any action to attend to my family. How disappointing (especially considering the astronomical prices). I would not recommend.

Even as a tourists trap you should be embarrassed to serve those Nachos.Service was ok at best.

Another fabulous spot in my favorite ski area in this world. Had my fussy sister in town and was worried about bringing her there. My sister has celiac and was truly impressed with the service (I had a few drinks before dinner to prepare for her, but she loved the place!), chef came out and talked to her specifically about how they prepared food and went over the menu with her. But to be honest I was at the bar drinking margaritas with mezcal (my sister is so annoying) and saw someone recommend a 'bourbon hot chocolate with baileys in it. That took me over the appropriate edge. Next time I'm in town I will come back and try the menu. The service was set bar high and I might of talked the bartender's ear off, but he was such a gentleman and so handsome :) that my husband had to take me away before I left my number.

Excellent lunch spot at the base of the lift. Attentive service at the bar and a wide selection of food. Would have eaten lunch here every day if I had known about it earlier.

Food and staff were good but I was very disappointed with the ambiance. This place is so run-down! It felt super dirty and unkept!!! Please update this place because the location and view is so nice!

We had an awesome birthday lunch for my mom. Our server Zion was very helpful and brought us a free slice of birthday cheesecake. We sat inside by the open windows. The burger with the froie gras gravy was yummy. We added $3 for truffle fries. We also likes the peach salad with salmon (medium rare) The summer cerviche was good!

Came here for Thanksgiving dinner with family. We are not a turkey loving family but we do eat it on thanksgiving. That being said, pleasantly surprised . Moist, well cooked & seasoned turkey meat. We had reservations for 7:30 but arrived earlier at 6:30 (hungry Floridian) than expected. They did accommodate us by seating in the bar area with table set for 4. Don't leave without trying their Key Lime Martini & pumpkin pie if you're here for thanksgiving.

This is the first restaurant I had dinner here . Much better than I expected . The seafood stack is great and good in quantity for 2 . Fresh and delicious . The pork shank smelt great and so is the taste . Overall it is good experience in terms of service and food quality .

Food was good service was lack luster. Chop house gets 3 stars due to the mountainside location and good cooks. The service was lack luster and environment was not welcoming

We were unable to get into Vail Chophouse day-of, but the 20 minute drive to (what I assumed to be) their sister-location was worth it. Steaks were great, service was good, though some of the sides were a little ho-hum. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

Visited over a dozen times and it's one of the best views while dining in BC. Service is always super friendly and my wife and I make friends with the nicest people every time we hang out here! Enjoy delicious snacks and a glass of wine while looking over the Mountain View. Can't wait to go back!
