The Food is like a traditional Bolivian mother’s home. I enjoyed my silpancho plate and the owner makes her bread in house. Some food is not available like the peanut soup, empanadas de queso. This place has a lot of potential! But it needs help/guidance to improve. The service needs help. Our server only checked on us when she would deliver the food, then disappear. The place should have a cash bar in place, but it does not. Also, there is no menu to give the guests. Their front of the house menu has no prices. This place has potential to improve!

Google
The food is good, the only place to get authentic Bolivian food in OC. You have to order at the counter now and then go sit down. So if there are more than a few people you are gathered around a menu trying to order your food together. The place is also a banquet hall and definitely looks like they party here! Come for the authentic Bolivian food and not the service.

Google
🇧🇴 BOLIVIA (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - Beba's in Anaheim has been the only full [Bolivian] restaurant in Greater Los Angeles. On weekends families from all drive-able distances descend on this over 25-year-old restaurant, piling out of minivans for large hearty plates of food and live music. The community seems tight knit even though they are spread out widely, coming together here at what could be considered the Southern California cultural center of Bolivia.

Google
4.5, rounded up to 5 My dearest Bolivian friend introduced me to this restaurant and cuisine. It is unlike any other food I have ever had. The place has ample parking and the decor is clean and minimal. While we were waiting for the food, the tv had Bolivian music videos playing. The waitress was friendly and prompt. The saltenas are out of this world. I thought it was going to taste like an empanada but no. It was so flavorful. The crust was this sweet type of pastry almost. The meat was flavorful and there was so much juice from it, almost reminded me of an XLB dumpling. I could have a bunch of these in one sitting if left to my device. I also had the soup, I can't remember the name but it was quite tasty and they give huge portions of food here. The Sajta was bomb. The chicken was so tender, it melted in my mouth. It just fell off the bone. It tasted so good and with the rice, sauce and potatoes. It was fresh and felt homemade. I can't say enough good things about the place. I will be back for sure. I thought I was going to have leftovers, but my husband ate it all as soon as I got home. I don't blame him!

Google
drove one hour to get here and was not disappointed! I am bolivian and it is so difficult finding a place that sells salteñas. They had such an expansive menu and food was delicious!! Service was super friendly as well. The restaurant was pretty empty but they had lots of seating and clean bathrooms. I will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu.

Authentic bolivian food! My wife said it smelled and tasted exactly like she remembers from Lapaz!

Google
Best salteñas in Socal. Las mejores salteñas están en Beba’s. What are salteñas you ask? Well, they are these Bolivian style meat pies made of beef or chicken.

Google
I visited Bebas Restaurant in Anaheim to pick up some salteña, baked empanadas that originated from Bolivia. They're shaped similar to a dumpling and are baked and not fried. The first bite and nostalgia hit pretty hard, the same taste and aroma experienced in Bolivia. Just be careful not to bite right into it because the steaming hot stew inside can burn your tongue. I picked up the chicken and beef and tried one vegetable this time. The dough is sweet, and the stew savory, flavorful and delicious. Each one cost $3.50. Best to call ahead as they're made to order and will take an average of 25 minutes or so. Or you can order onsite and visit the nearby Anaheim Town Square to pick up some other goods.

Yelp
For years we have driven to Beba's for her saltenas despite the traffic. At this point I can no longer eat them since I'm gluten free however they bring a smile to my Bolivian father's face and my teenager. Each pilgrimage finds us buying 50 or 60 frozen to make the 5 freeway trip worth it in time and gas. At one point, more than likely when I was a teenager they were plumper and cheaper but we have tried others and we always come back to Beba's.

Rocio B.

Yelp
Salteñas were great! The rest of the food.... What happened? It used to be good and quality was good. Now it's subpar. Who took over? They should be fired or reconsider their choices. They would definitely fail in Bolivia. Service is bad. The servers are looking everywhere else when you order or ask for things they should bring when you order food. Like forks...

Erika G.

Yelp
Took my momma for a trip to her homeland cooking! Place is usually empty on a Saturday at 3pm but I did see plenty of to go orders. To start, our party of 8 had a round of the BEST saltenas - savory and always with that soupiness that is like Bolivian gold! Everyone loved their meals: sajta de pollo, silpancho, milanesa de carne and milanesa de pollo, caldo de maní, lomo something with eggs on top. All the food is authentic Bolivian fare, with every bite transporting you to a country that has unique spices, savory and lovingly prepared! The highlight for our drinks was the mocochinchi, the disappointment was the chicha morada, which was bottled. I figure it would not be cost effective if they prepared their own, since it doesn't get too busy, which means that it wouldn't sell out fast enough and then quality would be poor. The waitress was sweet and swift with her service. Anyhow, I highly recommend this Bolivian place for a taste of unique South American cooking.

Aransazu C.

Yelp
Food was okay, it was very simple and could use some seasoning. It was my first time trying Bolivian dishes and I wasn't impressed

Erika B.

Yelp
Great and delicious saltenas!!!!! I used to come here a lot with my grandma when I was younger. Their portions have gotten smaller and prices have gone up but the deliciousness has stayed the same!!!

Raul A.

Yelp
Beba's is delicious! Start with some salteñas!! A sopa de mani!! Then my favorite Silpancho with fried egg and tomatoes on top!! Enjoy with a couple Inca Colas!! Always great food and servicio!!

Jennifer V.

Yelp
One of the only Bolivian restaurants in California, it seems like. Need to drive an hour to visit but well worth it to get a taste of our Bolivian cuisine.

Jonas G.

Yelp
Been coming to Bebas over ten years to buy only one thing: Salteñas Gif bless Beba for bring Salteñas to Orange County!

Jenny A.

Yelp
Too expensive and service very slow. The cashier seemed to be in a bad mood and made the experience not pleasant.

Paola C.

Yelp
I love Bolivian food, but here is sad how she rip us off, I miss my food so I go here, but now like sizes are so small for the price is ridiculous, service is also very slow, but I mean is only lady there helping is impossible for her to do the phone the people and the tables as well. Last time I came I got the salteñas so depressed they were so expensive and so small nothing compared to how they used to give them to you before, everything has drunk in this place. I feel I came to a bistro

Victor R.

Yelp
I can only speak to the Salteñas. I order them regularly. The beef and chicken are the best, they are delicious! The place is somewhat spacious, and the times I've arrived there are people dining in. By what I have seen and heard, this place is true to the Bolivian culture. I recommend visiting for take out and dining in.

Christine M.

Yelp
My nephew picked this family restaurant for his birthday lunch. We have never tried Bolivian food so learning about their culture while experiencing their cuisine was fun & different from the ordinary. The peach juice was delicious like a sweet tea with a peach pit in it. I can't rave enough about the 5-star salsa. I bought 2 containers to take home. I will definitely return to pick up more.

Aaron B.

Yelp
Great Bolivian cuisine! The salteñas and sopa de mani were excellent. It's hard to find mocochinchi; Bean's does not dissappoint. We will definitely eat here again.

Griselda C.

Yelp
Salteñas missing olive and egg piece inside of them. Ordered Pique A Lo Macho also no chile on them they brought us a salsa to add to the food. Not flavorful at all. Expensive for something that is bland will not eat again. Used to original Cochabamba seasoning

Alex O.

Yelp
Horrible service, unfriendly. Food had no flavor and very expensive. Ambience is very somber, deflated balloons hanging from the ceiling. Restaurant was empty at lunch hour, that should have been the first sign.

Axel S.

Yelp
I think this is the best Bolivian food around here. I live in the San Fernando Valley, and if I'm ever in OC, I tend to stop here. If you don't know Bolivian food, do yourself a favor and go order a silpancho and a beef salteña. Salteñas are the latin american version of soup dumplings and they will rock your world. Beba's, in my opinion, has some of the best Salteñas, and I've had the Bolivian Llama Party ones in New York and the ones from El Castor in La Paz. The ambiance is cool. If you go on a weekend, you may see a live band playing.

Jayson R.

Yelp
I always get saltenas for potlucks from this restaurant. Sometimes I'll order 4-6 just for myself because they're that good. I need to explore their menu because I'm sure they're all good if their appetizer is amazing

Yelp
Never tried Bolivian food This was the first time, I thought the food was good but I have an impression that they have better places, or maybe I should try a different dish, wish had more recommendations They empanadas tho was so delicious I want more

Travis A.

Yelp
The food was fantastic. The saltenas were delicious, the Pique was great, the Chairo soup was yummy. Everything was perfect.

Ed S.

Yelp
Great authentic Bolivian food. Plates have good portions of food... the saltenas are the best empanadas. Great job

Phil H.

Yelp
Those saldenas. They are definitely the highlight of this establishment. I can eat those anytime. They are a juicy meat veg and egg filled pastry baked. It's soupy inside as well. We usually get 20 of them to go and eat them for the whole week For me it's a little far but whenever we are in the area we always stop by either to eat or to just take out for the next day.

Rodrigo C.

Yelp
Don't know how to run a business. Service is non existent. Appeasing themselves over customer is necessary. Drove from The San Fernando Valley seeking some "authentic bolivian cuisine". Arrived before "opening " time at 11am. You would assume they would start an hour or two before opening hour to prep... Anyway...get there 10 minutes before 11 and ghost town. Nothing wrong because it's still not open. But my assumptions of someone getting there at 11 to start prepping becomes more real. 11th hour arrives and still nobody. Worker arrived 11:10, lights up the open sign 11:15am and doesn't allow me in until 11:20 because she was on the phone probably taking orders. Walk in and tells me no food available but only saltenas. Alright cool...but she tells me 40 minutes to prep them. Clearly they fell asleep... Extremely inconvenient but considering my car drive to get some decent Bolivian food, I figure I would just wait. Until she tells me that I must pay individual pricing for saltenas. I wanted at least a dozen and my total would end up being $50+ They are within their rights to price as they please. But business 101 would tell you that when you're buying in bulk, the cost per unit is decreases. It is what it is...

Dunnya C.

Yelp
The salteñas and empanadas really taste like I'm in Bolivia , they are so delicious !! The service is like in Bolivia too lol , no good service the lady is no nice , she kind looks mad all the time ,working on the restaurant After that the menu doesn't have prices and I don't like that cause when you get the bill , upu are not gonna like it 3 stars for the salt

Oscar C.

Yelp
It's always difficult to find Bolivian food in any area and me family and I make the drive to Bebas when we can. The dishes are tasty and remind us of eating at home. There's more than just salteñas!

Justin D.

Yelp
If you are Bolivian, you lament the lack of good food for your demographic. Beba's is a far trek for me, but the food is so good. The saltenas are excellent. I could go closer and do a place in Van Nuys, but Beba's tastes like my memories of Bolivia and is better. The fricase is great, and the silpancho was great. I felt like aI was eating food that the cook would feed her own family. I enjoyed their salsa as well. It was just great. I hear there is a mercado in santa Ana that also has great saltenas, but it is too far, so Beba's is it for me.

A G.

Yelp
I've been eating at Beba's since my childhood and they were at a different location... I stopped eating meat and animal products a while ago, so every time my family and I would visit Beba's, I just had mocochinchi and an Inca cola. I miss Bolivian food sooo much, so I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they now offer Vegan salteñas!!!! I'm so greatful that they make these. I haven't had salteñas in 15 years. They are filled with deliciousness. The meat substitute was jack fruit, and it was cooked so well. I can't get over it... I'll definitely be back soon for more.

Patty E.

Yelp
I was born in Bolivia and these Salteñas are the real deal.... the only place around that I know sells these tasty, wonderful treats!! Just like mom used to make! Please keep this place in business!!!

Roger A.

Yelp
My wife and I came here the other day and we had lunch, the food was really good, I had Silpancho, man that was so good, I also had Saltanas, amazing, we both were very impressed with the quality, quantity and the flavor. We will return every chance we have to enjoy the Bolivian flavors. Highly recommend this restaurant and I always like to support mom and pop shops, so we'll be back.

Lisa Y.

Yelp
Thank you Team Bebas and Miriam for being such fantastic Hosts today!! The Restaurant looked beautiful and spotlessly elegant and the food came out exquisitely excellent. We had the saltenas, the Milanese Chicken, the beef with sauteed vegetables, and their fried bread with powdered sugar and cream cheese inside which I loved much!! Don't forget your mochachinchi too, a special dried peach drink with cinnamon that they're known for. Miriam was so cool and patiently courteous, and guided us through the menu like a skilled professional

Glen Y.

Yelp
Their Saltenas are the best. My family loves saltenas and we've been ordering from Bebas for YEARS. We order like 20 at once by calling ahead for pick up. Comes super hot and freshly baked. They sell them frozen too if you wanna bake at home later. Comes in choice of beef or chicken. Juicy, flavorful, and piping hot. I can eat these ALL day.

Kevin V.

Yelp
Very good food I must say but the service is horrible I drove over a hour to support my Bolivian culture and was very disappointed with the service not worth the drive I thought Bolivian people were really nice but not here I would say take out only but not dine in they don't check up and the hostess or owners face is not pleasant she looks mad at the world smh mal servicio

Kelin B.

Yelp
ONLY BOLIVIAN PLACE IN LA! This place is literally the only Bolivian spot in Los Angeles. Yeah i had to say it again. Since my wife is Bolivian we go there kinda all the time. We've tried most of the menu.. my fave is the Pique Lo macho bit everything is pretty good and that's coming from my Bolivian wife. If you've never had Bolivian food or are looking for it go check it out!!

Lilah J.

Yelp
Arriba Bolivia! My sister in law's family is from Bolivia and so my sweetie and I were very curious about this eatery. We wondered if the food would be as good as the delicious homemade dishes we had during the holidays. We're delighted to report that we enjoyed our scrumptious lunches at Bebas. I had the delicious silpancho which is a schnitzel type, thinly sliced beef accompanied with thin fried potato slices and pico de gallo. It comes with eggs but I opted for no eggs. The rice is nice and buttery. Home run on the silpancho. My sweetie had a similar beef dish. However his had this really amazing fried cheese, Bolivian corn, and fava beans. All super delish! The Bolivian corn is huge and takes minimal effort to bite off from the cobb. He also had the sopa de mani which is a peanut soup. Very good. We tried the dehydrated peach and cinnamon drink called the mocochinchi. He found it to be refreshing. I however found it too sweet for my liking and opted for a bottled soda. Our server was pleasant and efficient. Unfortunately they seemed to be only staffed with 2 servers. Each table in the dining area was occupied by patrons. They need to prepare for these kinds of rushes especially on Sundays. Signage outside is a bit odd. We were not sure if we arrived at the correct place since the sign outside says "Bebas Gilmore's Restaurant." Cool Bolivian décor. Check out some of the photos. We'll be back to try the saltenas!

Anna S.

Yelp
I had heard a lot of good things about this place, it's too bad I didn't get to taste the food. We waited at the counter for about 10 minutes. And no one came out to take care of us. I know we were heard, but no empanadas. Too bad

Christian C.

Yelp
Fantastic food. The silpancho was the best I've ever had. Big plate, but it was too good to not finish.Definitely coming back!

Jael N.

Yelp
It's easily hands down the best Bolivian food outside of Bolivia & my mom's kitchen. That being said, I see these 1 star reviews & I know that in the moment when you don't get waited on hand & foot or service is slow, you'll grab your phone & give it a bad review. I lived in Bolivia too, there's no food code like the USA & of course everything can't be authentic like the "small chips fries" garnishisg your meal. Every Bolivian does their food differently, my parent's prepare the rice for thimpú to their own liking, as I use 3 different peppers to make my own llajwa(locotos can be hard to come by). But we still come here & enjoy the space it allows us to sit at a table, 20 strong for 1-2 hours to eat & talk. Because that's what Bolivians do, lunch turns into tea time turns into dessert. This place is very accommodating, we can start off with just my folks & myself, then 3 of my cousins with their families will come & we'll all be fed & satisfied. Then we'll order 3 dozen salteñas to go. Try the falso conejo or the pique a lo macho(my favorite!). All in all, this restaurant is great, I wish I lived closer to it but I don't mind the drive from L.A. to here. I'm glad to support a Bolivian business and I'll continue to do so. Beba's is wonderful.

Frank C.

Yelp
Sadly this place is a joke when it comes to customer service. I come here for one thing and one thing only. Salteñas! Here is my advice for a memorable and pleasant experience. 1-Order salteñas over the phone 20 minutes before you get there. 2-If you decide to sit and eat your slateñas at the restaurant, make sure you ask for everything you think you will need like drinks, plates, extra salsa etc. Because they will probably won't come back and check on you. 3-You will have a better experience if you take your food home or eat inside your car. Food is good here. Service is not.

Jurguen N.

Yelp
Food ok , service is horrible...to me service is king, and most of the time not everything on the menu is there

Andres C.

Yelp
I had never been to a Bolivian restaurant here in California and im a native Bolivian. I can honestly say its like home cooked truly recommend this place.

Anibal R.

Yelp
What can I say it's food that I had when living in Bolivia as I lived there for 10 years. Is it perfectly the same no! Is it good the way it's done YES! I read complaints about service I get great service every time I've been there maybe because I treat them with respect. When you can't be in Bolivia to eat well this place does fill your desire and May I say Saltenas do the job right. So stop being picky they do it with what they have here and bring back enjoy your food and be happy.

Juan P.

Yelp
The bare walls and tables are sad-looking. The catatonic lady attending seems one day away from suicide. She definitely does NOT wanna be here. It is a Bolivian custom to have salt and pepper shakers, oil and vinegar, and upon entry they will bring you llajua (spicy salada) and bread. This restaurant barely has the shakers. I had to ask for bread 10 minutes into our visit and it took another 6 to get it. They don'teven have napkins on the tables!!!!!! I had to ask for a few when my daughter spilled some of her drink. Waited for 3 minutes to dry the table. I asked for Fricase, which usually blows any Pozole out of the water. But not here, they brought me two pieces of pork swimming in soup for $11 plus tax. Not returning. What a shame they bear the name "Bolivian". :-(

Atom F.

Yelp
As you approach, the driveway is right before the restaurant building, a quick turn. Inside, Beba's is an order up front then go sit down place. We ordered one peanuts soup for me, fish for my wife, saltenas for daughter. Purple corn punch drink was great for her. All tasted wonderful-- cooked freshly, hot and lively. Speaking of which there was a salsa that looked like pico de Gallo ground to a finer texture. Surprisingly spicy, but stopped after vigorous assertion. I wish I could eat the salsa, so cold, spicy and fresh, daily. If you come to eat here I think you'll finish satisfied.

Jon L.

Yelp
I'm just gonna say there's no place like Bebas I've had sultans at other places and you cannot beat them if you were looking for a good Bolivian food you're not gonna find anywhere around that I cook like them !

Beatriz A.

Yelp
I like Bebas the food in general is delicious but the Saltenas are the best! Thank you for bringing the wonderful tastes of our beloved Bolivia

Rachel D.

Yelp
The best place for salteñas! My boyfriends family is Bolivian and last year we went to Bolivia to visit and I could not stop thinking about the salteñas. His parents brought us some salteñas from Bebas and this place is amazing! Closest you can get to Bolivia without actually going. Never disappoints!!!

Patricia F.

Yelp
salteñas used to be my fav at bebas for a few years, NOT anymore, today I got 1 ckn and 1 beef, I am not lying if I got 1 teaspoon of the beef filling inside the salteña I got too much, it was mostly cubes of potatoes, maybe 1/8 of a boil egg, and that's it. the chicken one a had a little more, they're not generous at all. a lot of restaurants are taking advantage of the "takeout" only and serve less ,don't provide even a napkin since most likely we won't come back to complain. I am not coming back, I found this terrific Argentian little gem call Patagonia Empanadas in Orange, Super yummy good service, clean and very flavorful I got 2 empanadas for 5 dlls. check it out.

Restaurant K.

Yelp
Man the Saltenas are on point I moved from SoCal but when I'm near I have to order some!!! Man it sucks you can't get Saltenas everywhere!!! Way better then a empanada! Go get Saltenas ASAP
