"When it comes to making you feel comfortable, lots of restaurants take the interrogation room approach. They take your coat, they pour you lots of water, and then they grill you on what you’ve been doing that day. It’s about as comfortable as a conversation when someone knows your name but you don’t know theirs. Some restaurants really do know how to make you feel comfortable though, and Beb’s Kitchen in Brixton is one of them. Beb’s is a homely Indian restaurant that serves an excellent range of curries, including some Goan specialities, in a caf-like room, red gingham tablecloths and all. Whether you’re eating in or taking away, friendliness and comfort is the number one priority. Rose tea will be offered as you wait, complimentary cassava cake will come out, and the distinct feeling that maybe, just maybe, you would like to be adopted by this lovely couple will occur. We booked a table for our friends birthday / new years eve as we wanted somewhere local and family run. The food was amazing, Fernanda and her family know exactly how to make their guests feel welcome and special. The karaoke is a must 🎤🎉 thanks so much, we can't wait to come back 🤗🤗

I booked a table to celebrate my birthday, and couldn’t be more glad that I did! We had a group of 21, and Fernanda and her family made the occasion so special. The food and service were amazing, the atmosphere was so warm, and we a were made to feel so welcome. Our group made the most of the karaoke, we had SO much fun - it was the perfect way to celebrate with friends. Thank you so much to Fernanda and her husband, can’t wait to come back 🥳.

Came here for dinner (take away) with my boyfriend tonight. Fernanda took our order and was so lovely and friendly. We decided to go for a walk while we waited for our food and when we returned she had also given us free lasi, onion bhajis and poppadoms. She went above and beyond. We went home to eat the curries and were so delighted with the taste of it too. We will definitely be returning and it was nice to meet Beb too :)

If you do anything at all, please book your special event at Beb's!! My wife held her 30th birthday here and it was just amazing. Fernanda (the host), was incredibly warm and clear with instructions on how best to run the 30 person dinner. We received menu selections beforehand to send to guests and every dish was delicious on the day. Both the hosts created such a lovely environment for people to have fun. Our friends got the chance to eat, drink and sing their hearts out to karaoke afterwards. It really was like being in someones home, but with the added bonus of not having to cook ourselves. Fernanda even delivered my wife's birthday cake to our home the next day after we forgot it on the night. This is just a testament to who she was throughout. Kind. We will be back.

Great little find! We had lamb samosas, Goan prawn curry, chicken dhansak, okra and pilau rice - all excellent. Warm friendly welcome and service - almost like stepping into a friend’s home. Perfect evening!

First and foremost, this restaurant was amazing. The owner and his wife were so warm and welcoming. My brother and I checked out 3 other places in this area, but I am so glad we chose this. The meal was expertly prepared, with the perfect amount of seasoning. Everything was priced very fairly, and the portions were large. It was my first time having Indian food, and I'm extremely satisfied. The owners wife engaged us in conversation and we learned a lot about each other. It felt like we were hanging out with friends instead of our to eat. My mother and cousin and brother got food from another place, when they came in Beb's to tell us to meet in the car, she lovingly offered them plates and drinks to eat at the table. Something that restaurants NEVER DO. After everything we prayed as a group, and the next day she came to my brothers concert to support! Amazing people, amazing food, a STELLAR experience! Come here, and quick!! Next time I'm in London I'll be back!
