"The original building, which houses the wine bar, stands in contrast to the modern new hotel building. The abundance of pale wood makes it nice and cosy. Choose between a set menu, classic favourites and seasonal à la carte dishes. Pretty terrace." - Michelin Inspector

"In keeping with the architecturally interesting design hotel of the same name, a high-quality fine dining restaurant done out in a chic, minimalist style awaits you here. The interior boasts leather shell chairs, elegant parquet flooring and grey panelling on the walls – a lovely setting in which to enjoy a very ingredient-led set menu to the sound of modern background music. Proprietor and head chef Wolfgang Becker deliberately steers clear of gimmickry and instead focuses on flavour. Not only is your host a cook but he also has a penchant for fine wines. He trained as a winemaker and wines from his own vineyard also feature on the wine list." - Michelin Inspector

We payed a whopping 255 euros to be part of the New Year’s Eve kitchen “party” and the food was certainly good. HOWEVER..the Lady of the house is certainly one of the most unlikable humans on this planet. Not only had we ordered a taxi already because of e could tell they wanted us the hell outta there because they wanted to close.. no they had to ask us SEVERAL times whether or not we called for a taxi and when the taxi would be arriving. Not only am I not able to let a taxi magically appear, but also we were not able to tell her when it would be arriving. Being kicked out after we left over a thousand dollars in total there is quite frankly not what I would consider tasteful, elevated and mannered. The lady of the house seems to be the biggest problem judging by all of the reviews..so. Might consider doing something about it. In the end however the quality of the food won’t make up for lack of professionalism in terms of service.

High quality hotel. Building has a modern extension in which modern and spacious rooms are situated. The original hotel hosts the restaurant which serves high culinary dishes accompanied with house wines (also extensive wine list with other wines). ||The hotel is part of a winery with a high quality range if local wines. |True recommendation for wine lovers. They also offer walks through the vineyards or even a picnic amongst the vineyards

Chefs Table at Becker's can i give a 7 stare rating? The food is fantastic. The service is even better. Every dish is well balanced and paired with a nice wine mostly from the region.

A truly remarkable experience! Both the hotel and restaurant are fantastic, and Mr. Wolfgang Becker’s attention and devotion to creating unique experiences is unforgettable. We greatly enjoyed our stay and every dish of this renowned restaurant was original, carefully crafted, and exceptional, and its own way. We highly recommend spending a couple of days here in Trier and the lighting the senses with Becker’s impressive culinary art.

I booked the Chef's table for my lifelong friend and myself to celebrate our 40th birthdays and have a good catch-up since we live in different countries. I got sick a week before the reservation and felt lucky to be able to attend the dinner at all. I sent an email kindly asking to drop the wine pairing since I'm taking medication. This was already fully ignored in the email, but I was promised a mix of wines and juices. I have experienced juice and tea pairings before and they have been nothing but surprising and delicious. The room we were place could do with some love and fresh flowers to create an actual atmosphere. We ordered a sparkling to start the evening and I then drank 2 glasses out of 6 of the wine pairing. No juices or teas were offered. The food was average, the service could use enthusiasm, especially from Mr Becker himself. I'm used to fine dining all over the world and with living in London these experiences are quite regular for me. Unfortunately, Becker's can't deliver on a high level though and is massively overpriced for what it is. Where I call myself the foodie, my friend is the wine expert and he mentioned the pairing was average. With all this in mind when the bill arrived it was still surprising to see that we got charged for two full experiences, water and two aperatives we never had. There wasn't even an apology or anything, the only explanation was they could only charge the full menu, which is ridiculous. The solution was to reduce the bill by 36€. By then I had already decided to skip the tip and make up for the unexperienced, but paid wine. All in all we wouldn't return and I wouldn't give a recommendation for this place. There is just nothing else around, but since the experience is clearly not on Michelin star level, I'd rather have a hearty German meal for 30€.

It’s in a neighborhood only 2 miles from the center of Trier. They make their own wines. One of the best German Cabernets I have tasted. Pinot is awesome and halb trocken Riesling is divine. My family and I enjoyed our 4 course dinner tremendously

This review is for the restaurant only. Beautiful secluded outdoor patio, covered with trees for shade. Enjoyed a 3-ish course meal and a delicious glass of their new rose. Appreciated how the meal was spaced out- not rushed, but not slow either. Highly recommend.

Location outside of the city, which meant taxis there and back, which was ok. Difficult to find, parking in an area across the road more than adequate. The hotel purports to be Designer, and tries hard but doesnt quite hit the mark. Staff were very friendly and helpful but lacked attention to detail. The suite we had was comfortable enough but lacked bathrobes, which after requesting were brought without slippers! Lighting not well thought out, whirlpool shower in the bathroom looked luxurious but was difficult to get in and out of - not particularly well thought out. Room service breakfast came without rolls, without seasonings, without coffee milk. One pillow per person which for some is inadequate. Fittings looked somewhat tired. The minibar, which was inclusive in the room price contained the absolute minimum of a couple of bottles of water and one of wine, hardly worth the effort. On returning to the room on the first day after over four hours, the room had still not been cleaned. Overall somewhat expensive for what was offered.
