Bed & Breakfast Spoor 62

My husband and I visited Spoor.62 for the second time recently. Obviously we were so impressed with our first stay – originally a recommendation from my parents – that we had to return for a repeat visit. Irma is the most gracious host, impressing us with her language skills (skipping from English to German to Dutch with ease), her delicious and wholesome breakfast spreads, and her charming ability to remember small details about us and our families. The interior styling of Spoor.62 is impeccable, with a comfort and ease that makes you feel right at home (or makes you wish it WAS home). This lovely B&B is a destination in its own right, given the location, but the generous reading rooms and large garden encourage visitors to stay and while away the hours just relaxing and enjoying. Irma is quick with her suggestions of places to eat, drink and visit in the surrounding areas and is always in the know of any interesting cultural activities worth including in your visit. One of my favourite places to stay, anywhere.

What can I say about Irma and her lovely accommodations other than "Excellent!!" Immaculate, comfortable, modern, spacious, delicious yogurts in the morning, bikes to rent, a wonderful trail adjacent to the property, and her sweet puppy Zoe was the bonus. Thank you so much Irma for being such a kind hostess - we loved every moment of our stay!! (April 17-21, 2019)

Normally we prefer to explore new places to stay, instead of booking the same again. There are really only a few places in the world where we return because the experience is so good that we are not intrested in trying something new in the area. Spoor62 is one of them. Our first visit was in 2013 and every time we return to Spoor62, Irma manages to create an even better experience than the previous one. Our last visit was in between covid lock downs. Despite the limitations we all have to deal with these days, Irma was able again to create a warm welcome, great service and as always an awesome five star breakfast in her super clean, cozy and safe B&B, respecting all covid precautionary measures. Also Irma was able to find us restaurants where we had a great dinner experience (despite the respected covid limitations) Thanks again Irma and looking forward to see you again soon without face mask ;-)!

We had a wonderful stay! What a gorgeous B&B! Together with my parents we had the whole place to ourselves (there are two rooms), allowing us to also fully use the lounge/breakfast area and the cutest little library. Communication and hospitality is lovely. Would highly recommend!!

For our third stay at Spoor.62, we only have praises for this exquisite place, refined luxury accommodation and warm welcome form Irma and her new puppy dog Zoe !!!!||Bedroom with all necessary comfort, great adjustable beds, views to the garden and complete quiet. ||Breakfast is perfect, with a mix of fresh, baked and healthy goodies !||And after a long day visiting the surrounding area (WWI graveyards to the South, Ostend and the sea to the West or Brugge to the North), a nice beer or a glass of cold white wine in the garden.||Either in the Summer or in the Winter, Spoor.62 is the right place to stay in Western Flanders.||Thank you Irma for all your care ..... and precious advices.

Love everything in this place, the atmosphere, the relaxing surroundings, quiet and very elegant interiors. It's most luxurious B&B I have ever stayed. Irma is so lovely and very informative. The dog Zoe is a plus, she is very cute and sweet. I will definitely will stay here again in the future when I return to this area. I highly recommend this super amazing place..

Gorgeous setting overlooking the garden-||Very comfy bedding, a great nights sleep. ||Spacious room and bathroom. ||Lovely breakfast room, excellent breakfast ||Separate well stocked library. ||Stylish decor throughout. ||Perfect host - Irma knowledgeable about the area, and helpful in every way. ||Highly recommended

After removing the oatmeal from our hair and the Play-Doh from our computer keyboards, we excitedly packed our overnight bag in preparation for our weekend get-away at Spoor 62. We kissed our beautiful, energy-sucking little monsters on the forehead, pushed an extra 50 in our babysitters hand, and left without turning our heads for our well deserved night out. ||||The gates of our home away from home swung open as we drove up the familiar cherry-blossomed lined drive way, welcoming us back to Irma's oasis of peace. As we made our way to the charming old railroad house, accompanied by Zoe, their whistful puppy, our hosts welcomed us into the B&B. We raised a glass with Irma and Jos before heading out to the exquisite brasserie Cousteau where our hostess had reserved a table for two. After a deliciously refined three course meal we walked back to the property and let ourselves sink into the sumptuous bed for some much needed sleep. An uninterrupted blissful and rejuvenating rest ensued...||||The next morning we let ourselves be pampered by our sweet hostess, enjoying the fresh, healthy and local breakfast and an energizing cup of coffee. ||||After fully recharging our batteries we were ready to head back home to face a new onslaught of toddler tantrums with renewed patience and diplomacy.
