"For a more straightforward wine selection in Bed-Stuy, try Bedford Nostrand Wines. It’s from some of the people behind liquid Assets, and a staple in the neighborhood for Black-owned wine and spirits. They offer local delivery Tuesday-Saturday, but they’re also open seven days a week for walk-ins. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Google
I love this shop - really diverse selections at accessible prices. The customer service has always been a standout to me as well, and I regularly rely on the staff recommendations. They've never steered me wrong, so I now only shop here for all my wine needs! A++

Google

Update the hours of operation. I have come by multiple times and it’s closed when it says it should be open. 5pm on a Sunday? If not now when?

Google
Just got snubbed. Walked in asked what do you have cold white.. knowing they have an eight bottle fridge under counter...simple question...response from clerk..."well what specifically...what followed was a quiz to show me what she knew. On and on...with no assistance in sight just posturing.....I have been a beverage mgr at five star hotels, I have done wine tastings with Julia in Boston. I felt like saying ." I am looking for a specific terroir. ...that's hard to describe"...... Give it a rest .simple question...what do you have...... Walked out

Let me return to my wine store where I can dispense insulting service rather than absorb it. Cannot tell whether these people are just pretentious or just dont care about customer service. Either way would not recommend

Google
I really like the selection and people who work here. I enjoy shopping here. Especially since my other option is to speak to people through bulletproof glass.

Google
Rudest person in the entire area!!! Plenty of nice people that care about their business.

Google
It's cluttered inside and I found the manager drinking when I was there. But it seemed to have a nice inventory.

Yelp
Checked this place out because it was in the neighborhood. I was warned that the customer service flows between nonexistent and rude. I walk out laughing because my service was golden. Supposedly they can tell I'm just visiting. Small store but had exactly what I didn't know I needed. Cake and wine are always good for dessert when visiting so I has happy then sent me to my another great place to review. Support your local small business and drink wine.

Yelp
The service has improved here over the past couple years I've been coming. Each time I go in now and ask for something that pairs well with some meal I'm making, the staff provide decent recommendations after asking follow-up questions (e.g., "Is your greek salad acidic? Is the korean food you're having spicy?"). I love the specificity, I gotta say. It sure beats a surly attendant who doesn't even say hi when I walk in. What else? The price points are decent, with a number of wine options in the $15-$25 range. The shop sells select local spirits, too. Nice local spot or pit stop on your way to a friend's.

Yelp
This is THE BEST wine shop in Bedstuy! The customer service is friendly + very knowledgeable about their products -- which isn't limited to wine, but also some liquor. White wine + champagne is always chilled (a bit of a problem that I've run into at other local wine shops in the area). Very clean + well kept place. Prices are average; you can find what you're looking for whether it's a fancy bottle for a dinner party or a $10 bottle for a night alone. ;) 12/10 recommend.

Yelp
By far the worst service I ever had at a wine shop. I walked in and was yelled at to stand outside by a man with long dark hair. Staff was confrontational and rushing me. I don't think they're aware that their business is a based off of services. Highly unimpressed and will not be going back. Hope this post humbles their management practice.

Yelp
The customer service experience I just had was extremely off putting (12/6/20 @ 5pm). The guy working (he has glasses and medium length hair) was very rude and condescending while assisting us, barely looked up from the computer while we were in the store and wouldn't give us suggestions based on our requested price range. I will never purchase wine from here ever again. There are plenty of other good options in the neighborhood, including Atlas and Radicle Wine.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. I was trying to see if they are open and the guy inside opened the door saying "what's up?" I was like well I am obviously here to buy some wine. Not everyone knows you only do curbside and thanks for making me feel dumb that I don't know this. Absolutely no good customer service.

Yelp
Bedford Nostrand Wine is a small, carefully curated wine shop. The customer service is on point and every staff-member is friendly and knowledgeable. On my last they actually talked me into the less expensive Bordeaux, so I know the service is not about the up sell! They have tasting events often and even have a customer loyalty program if you link your e-mail account to Square. Five stars, for the love of wine.

Yelp
Best selection in the area, and super convenient, right off the train. They're super professional and patient with me asking for something that was right in front of my face, haha.

Yelp
Let me start by saying I've patronized this store when they initially opened. Due to me not living in the I immediate area, I don't frequent it much. Hover, for the last few weeks I've been going there more often and found that I have been racially profiled. They have a rewards program that I do believe I signed up for in the beginning, but every time I go into the store it seems if there are white patrons e and there ahead of me, whomever is behind the register always ask them " fo you have a rewards card"? And then when he reaches me .. I'm never asked. So today it happened again, the white woman ahead of me was asked if she had one, she replied 'no'. Then the cashier said " would you like one"? Which she replied no again. It's my turn and he says " 10.88". As I'm paying him for my bottle of Montefresco, I say " I'm a parT of the rewards program" in which he replies that my purchase wasn't large enough. I said, I thought the rewards program goes buy how many bottles you purchase , not the cost of each bottle and he said no we have a limIt because some ppl buy cans , in which I replied, " but I bought a bottle". Rather than continue the conversation I just left t the store and won't be returning, but I had to fight this review.

Yelp
Friendly neighborhood wine store, conveniently located next to the subway entrance. They are always nice and willing to take the time to talk about the wine. My favorites are French whites and they change the selection pretty often which is good since I tend to lock on to one wine and not branch out enough. Their recommendations are always on point. It's a tiny shop so the selection is somewhat limited but they pack a lot into their small footprint and what they have is good quality. Happy to have this place around the corner.

Yelp
Their customer service is lacking, especially considering it's a local shop. Recently, I was there and asked for a natural wine, any natural wine, as long as it was natural, which I stressed multiple times as my only requirement. The employee suggested one, I bought it, took it home and eagerly researched it. Unfortunately, no where online did it mention that it was natural or even low intervention. I took it back ten minutes later and explained that nothing identified it as natural on any site (vivino, the importers site, etc). He then said there is no actual way to identify a wine as natural bc there is no certification. I asked if I could exchange for a different wine that at least claims that they are natural. He said he wouldn't exchange it. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I have had much better experiences at Atlas on Bedford.

Yelp
Such a sweet little shop and incredibly well stocked. All the folks that work here are incredibly knowledgeable and I always walk out w the ~perfect recommendation.

Yelp
This wine store is cute! - small, but good selection. The manager is fantastic and also cute :D - very knowledgeable and chill. Stores easy to get to and close to trains which is also a plus - drop in on your way home etc... love this store!!

Tiffany T.

Yelp
Great selection (with variety) and conveniently located by the train, this is a no-brainer spot! Also, they carry a couple sakes, which is crucial to me.

Hannah R.

Yelp
Best best wine shop, esepcially love how friendly the staff is! They always have such a great selection and it's a totally judgement-free one.

Ali P.

Yelp
LOVE this place! The selection is on point and the staff is honestly the most courteous, laid back and helpful I've ever encountered in a wine shop. Because let's be honest, it can get intimidating in these kinds of places! I live around the corner from this place and have stopped going to all of the other shops I frequent because this one fits the bill for everything I look for in a local wine shop. Even if you're not in the neighborhood, I recommend you come by, you'll go home with a new wine you'll absolutely love! Oh, and don't miss the wine tastings on Fridays!!!

Madeline P.

Yelp
Good wine... Reasonably priced. Three stars because I asked the woman working for a recommendation just between two bottles, just asked what do YOU like better, and she was so annoyed because I interrupted her conversation with her friend about a boat. I know so much about that boat trip now, and that her friend went to see her boy but like mainly it was a boat vacation, she was mainly in it for the boat, but I know little about the difference in the two reds I was trying to purchase. And then she carded me as if to really stick it to me that I was taking up precious boat conversation time. I guess the take away is that if two people are talking about a boat vacation, it doesn't matter if you need assistance; the boat conversation comes first.

Yelp
Great little wine shop I discovered after moving my jewelry studio to Bed-Stuy. Super close to the train, great selection of wine and liquor. If they don't have what you want chances are they can special order it for you. Best of all if you're looking for something chilled just ask if they have it on ice, they usually do.

Legin N.

Yelp
I'm no wine expert. I can't tell you if something tastes oaky, fruity, dry or full bodied. At the end of the day, it's all alcohol to me. But I can identify good service when I see it, and these guys are very personable. You get advice without being talked down to. These guys look like a pair of retired line backers, but they're not intimidating at all. The selection is wide enough, the prices seem appropriate, and the wines appear to be of a high quality, to my untrained eye. If they were a bigger shop, with a fancier decor, I'd give them five stars. If you're in the neighborhood, check em out.

Yelp
Bed-Nos Wine is brand new and just what the neighborhood needed. They have a nice selection of wines from Cali, Europe, South America and New Zealand. The price points are terrifically affordable. I really enjoyed the Rose that was recommended to me - and the appreciation that Rose has found its place in the wine market. I look forward to watching this cute shop grow and will most definitely visit again soon. Check it out.
