A nice relaxing place during a ski break! Food was great quick and seemed like standard bar type food. Nice open seating and located at the bottom of the main ski lift. The chicken quesadilla was good!

Lots of employees, actual service MIA. Is there even anyone in charge? Was there mountain biking with my 2 grandsons and we wanted to get lunch at around 12:15. After waiting at a table outside with no service, we tried ordering from the bar. The bar people told us we would have to sit at the bar to order from them, and they would send someone out if we wanted to stay at our table. After more waiting outside, we moved to an off-restaurant picnic table and I grabbed some food we had in the car cooler. Judging by how long it was taking for people to get their food it was probably for the best.

Beer was ok. The food was overpriced and not good. Chicken nuggets didn’t even come with fries for $15. We also had to wait 40 minutes for our food.

Awesome experience! Would love to visit again. Not a big skier, but this place was busy even in the off season. We came up to see Seven Nationa and Tuatha Dea. Wonderful show!

The beer is good. The purchase experience was terrible. Incredibly long waits, 30+ minutes. I have to assume due to location, they just can’t get enough help up here.

Beer and food are overpriced for the quality. The employees seem bothered that they have customers. But the place doesn't have much competition in Beech so it serves a purpose.

Worst customer service. An employee cleaning up took my drink away when it was half full. I told the bartender and he told me it wasn't their employee. Really? Some random person took someone else's half drank gin and tonic? Training needed.

I agree with the other reviews. Beer and food are average, but it is cool to watch the MTN bikers.

This place is so perfect to grab a pint and people watch. It's also a perfect place to grab a drink after skiing. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. There is a foosball table and a tub of water that you can fix for yourself for free. The previous reviews talk about food, but they don't serve food (maybe they use to). They do offer a variety of chips/snacks for purchase. The bartender was fabulous and told us about a fun sledding hill that we could take our kids to. I got an IPA and it was so good. I was able to sample it before buying it. We would definitely go back!

I arrived as soon as they opened and grabbed a beer at the bar then walked around a bit. It was pretty empty so I was excited to find a table and settle in with a book. Unfortunately when I needed another beer I had to go back down to the bar and get it. This meant enduring my first of many lines to get a drink or food at this place. By the time I got my beer all of the tables were taken so I found a seat on the fireplace hearth and hoped to read my book more. Unfortunately it was very crowded and no room to sit down my beer. So I just people watched. By this time my husband and son were ready for lunch. They stalked the tables while I waited in line. They were able to find a table to share and sat down there. I waited in line or 45 minutes to place our order. The line wrapped through the restaurant, past both fireplaces and the bar to the front door. I ordered the soup of the day, fries and chicken tenders and fries for my husband. I gave him the ticket and headed outside to the pizza truck to get my son's lunch. After a quick 10 min wait with ordering I quickly received his pizza...much better experience there. Our food was ready by the time I got back inside...so service to get food after order is super fast. Just the ordering process is so long. On their site there was an option to order ahead but it was not working that day. So the line was our only option. Bummer and the cause of the long wait. The beers were all delicious and I had a white russian which was really good. Soup was very good but the rest of the food was not. If there had been a server or option to order from the table so I didn't lose it and also less wait time in line for ordering I would have given this 4 stars but honestly it was about a 2.5 star for me overall.

Fun and beer! Sugar Mountain. nuff said. Ok well faces the ski slopes and wanted more view but cool place

Delicious beverages and great atmosphere. I loved sitting outside and getting great views of the slopes and the mountain view.

One star for the Great beer. It really is good. Stay in the bar. Or head to the Tap Room. Horrible service in the restaurant. And food not worth the wait. Save your time and money. Pack some grub and drinks for the mountain.

Lines for seating at BMBC were absolutely insane. We were seated at a table too small for our party of 6, but we made it work. Table service was horrible, getting our order wrong several times and not bringing all beverages requested. After several times, I just quit asking for the beer I ordered. Food quality was poor. The wings were edible, but the nachos and burger were bland, rubbery, and inedible. It would be nice if WiFi as available and if restrooms were actually inside the dining area.

If I could I would put no stars, I just came from Staying up there, showing my family around, that are visiting for Vénezuela. We were a Large group, bring them big business but manager and the waiter were extremely rude. I hope it wasn't bc we are not originally from America but wow not professional at all. Wish they learn from this but beware If ur Hispanic.

The burgers were delicious. The fries were served hot and crispy too. We got our order to go so we could enjoy them at the top at 5506 Sky Bar. Although the outdoor dining deck would have been a really nice place to sit and watch the mountain bikers come in. Next time we'll try playing a round of indoor corn hole. Such a nice place to spend time relaxing together.

As a brewery, Beech Mountain Brewing is pretty forgettable. As a brewery at a ski resort in the South, it's a welcome escape. On a recent visit while we were skiing at Beech, we dropped in for a couple of cold brews and some decent pub grub. The burgers, fries and chicken sandwiches were nothing to get excited about, but they definitely beat the food at the resort cafeteria. And if Beech Mountain's beer isn't to your liking (I was pretty underwhelmed by their Downhill IPA), there are a handful of delicious 'guest' beers on tap from around North Carolina. Seating is the biggest challenge here -- show up at peak hours, and you'll be eating on your feet. But there's a nice fireplace for ambiance and a small stage that I'd suggest they swap out for more tables. It rates one star if you come just for the brewery, three if you drop in while skiing. I'll split the difference.

Came here after riding ski lift up and back. Salad good. Chicken tenders good, soup, brisquit sandwich were good. Not really homemade food but still good. Service friendly. Captain and Coke had right amount of liquor.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Came to the resort for a bachelorette party with 12 sorority sisters. Was hoping for a ski break with lunch and to watch the Kentucky basketball game. Asked multiple managers to change the TV, and they responded "we don't have time" And btw still waiting on my food

If I could give negative stars I would but just on management staff. I went to the bar to order a beer and the bartender was extremely rude as well as bent my id in half and said it was fake (it's not). I had to call the cops to confirm and get it back and they kicked us out of the restaurant for "causing a scene." Had to pay for my meal that was ice cold when it came to me as well. My server was absolutely wonderful and felt terrible. I even showed them a birth certificate and they still were very very rude about it. The cops were wonderful and supper nice. 10/10 do not recommend this place. I am usually not one to ever complain or have ever left a review in my life.. however, I manage a steak house and would never ever treat a customer the way I was treated and would never even talk to my staff the way I heard them talk to the females working for them.

My wife and I stopped for drinks and chicken sandwich in between hikes. Staff was very friendly and order was ready quickly. Will return!

Ate here for lunch during a day at the bike park with my son. It might seem like you typical on-mountain beer and grub shack and the ambiance is definitely that. But the food is great. Their white truffle veggie burger is the best veggie burger I've eaten hands down. It's surrounded by crispy caramelized onions and a hint truffle flavor. Delicious! Even meagans would like it. It's a flavor bomb with great texture. Their fries with white truffle aioli were yummy too. 5 stars for on-mountain convenience and great food quality.

Fabulous fantastic and fun! Great brews too. They brew their own and it is a great place to just hang. Love the ppl, love the place.

Do not eat here. The food is awful. (Pickle-brined friend chicken sandwich?? HAHAHAHA. Straight from the bottom of the freezer. Beer cheese??? More like flavorless white queso from a jar.) The service is also awful. We dealt with a snarky and not friendly bar tender and waitress. Don't waste your time or money.

Cannot say enough about the food! Husband had the smash burger and was blown away! I stole a lot of his fries To dip in my beer cheese! Which they make in house With their in-house brewed beer! Nachos are the best! Portions are huge! Variety of items from salads to a portobello sandwich! Great chicken tenders for the littles too!

How disappointing. Were here last night and two peoples food was forgotten. Back today with a large group, excited to eat and watch the basketball game. Manager refused to change the channel to our team. Said that he "didn't have time" and was extremely rude.

Decent food. Terrible service. Had us get up and move in the middle of eating to remove our table so "they could have open space for people to watch the band." We got to move to nowhere because there were no empty tables. Ridiculous.

Excellent food ! We came in here after 2 hours of tubing . The brisket sandwich is really good. A good place to bring the family in from the cold and enjoy a yummy meal. Service was great too. But I think they only do service in the day. The local beer is great too!

First time and last time I will go to this place. We walked into the brewery and watched the bartender lift his shirt and dig in his belly button. He had zero personality so we went on to the bar and grill. My mom and I walked up to the bar and the female bartender said she would be right with us. There was a group of guys getting shots and it was apparent she was trying her best to get a tip because she made eye contact numerous times and never came back over to get our order. The male bartender was moving at the pace of a snail and was getting two fights for other customers. After waiting 15 minutes with zero service, we walked out. Will NOT return...ever. After seeing some of these reviews, I wish I wouldn't have wasted time in the first place!

The service was great even though wifi was temporarily out, I didn't come for the internet. Any how the music started up again with whiskey Meyers, my type of music. I felt at home and ordered the local lager and had the brisket burger and fries after getting back down the mountain. The fries were tasty as was the burger. I almost ordered the trout po boy to celebrate all the rainbow trout I caught on the fly. I decided the burger sounded better. My friend got the brisket sandwich and had never had brisket in her life, I know crazy right? Anyway she liked hers too and she had an order of fried green tomatoes which she said were so so. We came during slow season and found everything to be very pleasing and will come back.

food was subpar, waiter forgot food multiple times, to be fair it was his first table, small drink selection ok though advertised to be fancier than it is but it's just a standard place

This place is awesome! Super friendly, great selection of beer. Could use some more things in the food department though. Like mozzarella sticks lol. Overall super fantastic place and awesome decor.

Drove up to catch a band recently. About what one might expect for a bar in an old ski lodge. Drinks were a little pricey but that's expected for a resort area. Foodservice was not available at tables. We had to place an order at a counter and then either wait or get a text. We ordered a cheeseburger and brisket sandwich with mixed results. The organization was terrible. Everyone was walking around asking where their food was no one seemed to know what was going on. When the food arrived it was just set on a table with your name on a ticket - multiple times I watch different people pick up orders to see if it was theirs and then set it down. I hope they weren't sick! I watched the lady taking orders and payments pick a sandwich up with her hands after handling credit cards, cash, etc. and box it up for what I assume was a to-go order. Once I saw all of this I dare not leave the table until I saw my food and assured no other patrons or the "cashier" handled it. I was just hoping for the best that the sanitary condition in the kitchen were better than the folks "serving". I have serious concerns about the way food was handled. We were told 10-15 mins for food. It took 45 mins. The brisket sandwich was actually pretty good if a little pricey at $13 (again...expected at a resort). The cheeseburger was a different story. It was $14 and was worse than cardboard cafeteria food (was also served cold but the temperature wasn't the problem...it was just ... bad). If you expect to charge $14 for a burger, it better at least be a good burger. Both orders came with mediocre fries. If you want to serve midgrade bar food...charge for it. If you want to charge $33 for two sandwiches (there was apparently an additional 15% resort fee added to all orders), then it should be pretty high-quality food. Had a fun night but I probably wouldn't order food here again considering the quality of the burger, price, and unsanitary handling of the food.
