"Fans of homegrown sandwich shop Beef ‘N Bread may want to race to Chinatown for one last helping of sliced Angus beef layered with avocado, basil, Sriracha, jalapeno, and hoisin sauce before the entire menu gets erased." - Warren Rojas

My wife has the calisunshine and I had the roast beef. Both the rolls were perfect. Would surely recommend this place for breakfast.

The Turkey Bacon Ranch sandwich was delicious. I was expecting a standard, no frills sandwich and that's basically what I got. However, there were two things that made the sandwich stand out: the bun and the sauce. Personally, I think the bun (or bread) is most often neglected in favor of other ingredients. It's viewed as more of a necessity than something that could really stand out on its own. The bun was soft and flavorful and really made its presence known. The sauce was also amazing. The ranch, like most ranch, was good. However, the addition of a "wise" sauce (I think that's what it was called) really added some flavor and spice that elevated the sandwich was good to great. If I come back to DC, I'll make sure to stop back here.

This place always has great sandwich options! The sauces they use are typically on the sweet side so use caution if you like more savory sandwiches. The meat they use is always good quality so this place is great for anyone who needs a consistent lunch nearby. The sandwiches are also served on a round bun, not subway style so keep that in mind.

Very good sandwiches and filling sandwiches. Meat is sliced right in front of you so you know it's fresh. Has a good sized menu with several different sandwiches, each of which has a unique complex flavor. Each sandwich has a combination of different sauces that give it that spicy, tangy, complex flavor. It’s mostly a takeaway shop. Must try.

Arby's is better quality meat. I went here for lunch and ordered the southern sandwich. The beef was really fatty and chewy. The only reason it's receiving 3 stars is because I like the various menu options that I can't find any place else. Definitely recommend that you at least TRY it on a rainy day or if you're in the area.

This place is a gem! I don't even really like roast beef, but right after I took my first bite, I thought about buying another sandwich. I would never expect to find something like this in Chinatown but here it is and I will bring any and all visitors here. They have roast beef, turkey, veggie options. All sorts of flavor profiles that you can easily sort out by looking at the ingredients listed for each item. I had the Chinatown roast beef and it was basically how I would make a roast beef sandwich for myself if I ever ate roast beef at home. Avocado, cilantro, basil, sprouts, sriracha, hoisin sauce, jalapeno sauce... all on top of melt-in-your-mouth roast beef? These are a few of my favorite things.

Great alternative for a good lunch when you want to take break from regular visits to Cava, ChopIt, and Potbelly. The Cali Turkey burger I had was monster sized yet didn't make me feel guilty as the ingredients looked healthy and fresh. They also have cool drinks and chips but passed on them seeing the size of burger.

The Cali Beef was tasty (loved that jalapeño sauce) but slightly overpriced. I liked the selection of unusual bottled drinks, like Jamaican Cream soda. It's a teeny tiny space- really best suited for carryout.
