"On the far southwest side of Salem — pretty close to Enchanted Forest, TBH — is Beehive Station, Salem’s original destination for food truck eats. Though there are tent-covered seating areas and propane heaters, Beehive is largely outdoors (think: firepit and festival vibes). Try the soft pretzels at Peace Love Pretzels, piroshki and pelmeni at Authentic Russian Taste, The Easy Otter’s waffle iron-pressed paninis, Baja Fish’s tacos, or the Hungry Gnomad’s Iowa-style pork cutlet sandwiches. A bar cart pours Oregon beers and hard ciders from nearby farm-cidery Bauman’s." - Emily Teel

Google
We enjoyed our lunch at the Beehive. There’s a great atmosphere, plenty of seating both covered and fully outdoor, plenty of food options, and conveniently located. The food cart owners and chef are very friendly and it’s a great place for a work meeting or taking out your family or a large group. There’s much to like about this place.

Google
Nice place, pet friendly, lots of options available, and plenty of seating. We went to NW Smash Burger and had a great experience there. Lots of parking and decent prices for what we saw. Great option in south Salem.

Christina Morgan

Google
I love this concept and wish they were in my area. There were plenty of choices to satisfy everyone. The grounds were clean with plenty of seating even heated tents. There were people playing some drums making it a present dining experience. I can't wait to go back!

Nick Wood

Google
Many seating locations (covered and not) available, with some of the best food available in Salem at their carts. I highly recommend the Thai & Indian carts and the beer/cider selections are pretty broad. Only negative can be parking on a busy day.

Walter Sacha

Google
We had beef tacos and they were absolutely excellent and they came with wonderful salsa and sliced radishes and limes. I totally recommend this place The food is awesome. They have heated and closed tents that are very comfortable and clean so you can eat there.

Crystal Firestone

Google
Best food trucks in Salem! They have such a nice variety of different types of cuisine, this is a great place to bring a big group of people with diverse tastebuds. It was rainy and cold when we visited, but had a cozy warm tent that we were able to eat in. Beats trying to eat in the car for sure!!

Google
This is my favorite food pod in Salem! I’m going to miss the Easy Otter and I love Redline. I also really like the Crazy Phillysteak place. My partner enjoys Little India. It has an overall nice atmosphere and great food options.

Google
This is exactly what Salem needs more of! Location is a bit out there but it’s worth it for the good vibes and wonderful variety of great food. Will try to update review later with a sentence or two about each of the individual carts I’ve tried since it doesn’t appear that they all have their own location on Maps.

Yelp
The new "Oh My Bowl" has deliciously fresh Vietnamese fusion food! Order the beef with vermicelli, you won't be disappointed!

Chan C.

Yelp
Beehive station has wine, champagne, cider, coffee and beer. $5 champs not bad. The white peach cider was tasty. The special "coin toss salted caramel imperial milk stout 9%" wow if you like stout this is a treat.

Yelp
Traveling down the I-5. Used Yelp to find a Food Truck community. Choice Beehive because it said easy access to the I-5 and a parking lot. We were banking on being able to park in the lot because we were pulling a trailer, we found a spot in a close by neighborhood. Ambiance, nice, found it full of people eating and drinking. Service, great! I had a grill cheese with pickles from the Hot Dog vendor and my husband ordered from Lotus Thai. The food was good. I ordered a beer from the Beehive House which had a variety of beer and cider on tap. The woman server was fantastic, friendly and outgoing. Had a nice chat with her. The site offers a variety of seating some under a big tent, in the open and even chairs around a fire pit. The site is clean and inviting. Had to use the porta potty, very clean! Glad we made the decision to go off the beaten path vice just visiting a traditional popular fast food venue. Highly recommend this spot!

Yelp
Don't go to the philly cheesesteak place. I ordered the cheesesteak nachos and was served chips covered in fake cheese and gristly meat... nothing else. Even the chips in the picture are different. Pictures will show what I ordered versus what I was served. Also, $$

Yelp
Food trucks are the best! At Beehive station there are so many to choose from. Everyone can get their favorite dishes, drinks and deserts There is inside and outside seating. We went Black Friday not all the trucks were open but still plenty to choose from.

Tyler B.

Yelp
Only complaint here is the parking situation, great food at all vendors, also the BEST place for fried pickles in all of Salem! They have a little bit of everything, and plenty of seating. Even some shaded sections with heaters during the winter months.

JayJ W.

Yelp
Such a great place to grab a drink, eat some food & hangout. It's cold out now but they have covered heating places to sit and enjoy yourself. The boba is always great, hibachi, Thai & drinks of course. My family and I will always enjoy coming here.

Gayle G.

Yelp
Went into the Bee Hive this am to see if there was a coffee drink cart open while on our walk. Ran into the owner/ manager of the Bee Hive and she said a new cart was starting up officially tomorrow but was open today in a spot at the end. We did go and ordered 2 coffee drinks and sat down at one of the picnic tables. The owner came over and asked how our coffee drinks were . My husbands was perfect but said mine was good but needed to be warmer. She took it and used a microwave to warm it for me. So glad we stopped and experienced someone going the extra mile for us. Definitely will go again!

Teresa S.

Yelp
Lamb Tikka Masala--Delicious! Salad Truck--Excellent Salad! Boba Tea Truck-Excellent Iced Boba Teas in Thai Tea and Lavender flavors with Honey Black Bobas And best of all, the LIVE MUSIC was kick-ass fun with Sal and the Salamanders playing great rock and roll. Kids were invited to join in with instruments that were passed out for a long version of La Bamba. We came down from Hillsboro to check it out, and we were not disappointed.

Rani M.

Yelp
Stopped in at Beehive Station today for the first time. Most of the carts were closed (bankers' hours???) but I asked a random customer about the carts. She and her partner stated that the Barria place was excellent. Decided to try it and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the Barria plate with consomme. Omigosh, that consomme is THE best flavored soup!!! Comfort food at its finest. Will definitely be back to the Station for more of this delicious broth! Oh, and the folks who waited on me were kind--and smiling. Win-Win!

Matthew M.

Yelp
Small but cool food truck park. Decent selection of eats. Good craft beer available also.

Deanne M.

Yelp
The carts are a wonderful variety of food. No good drinks though unless you like boba and I am not a fan of it.

Kelly N.

Yelp
I have nothing but wonderful stuff to say about this place. I haven't tried every cart here but everyone is friendly and the food is great. This is one of my family's favorite places to go and anyone who wants a good quick bite should check this place out.

Phil C.

Yelp
Love this food park. Great food truck options - Chinese, Indian, Thai, Russian, Japanese, Filipino, Sandwiches, etc. All great options. Plenty of outdoor seating, dog friendly, and even a beer/wine truck. I frequent it a couple times a week. Convenient for me and great food! Parking is limited and tight. That's the only negative.

Randall T.

Yelp
I have had hit or miss experiences with the whole food cart trend. We ate at the new venue off of Lancaster and were wholly unimpressed. We have eaten at 4 of the carts at Beehive and all have been fantastic. The Thai food cart gets great marks for flavorful and nicely spicy Thai Bossi BBQ was great. I had a two meat platter and loved everything My significant other had the Russian cart and it was super This last trip we got both Thai and Mexican at Dahlias. I was really impressed. The freshly made tortillas were just icing on a already beautiful cake! Keep up the great job Beehive! And, thanks for staying open for all of us

Allenea W.

Yelp
Have only been here a few times and today was the first since the COVID shutdown. As ever the food was great, people working in the food carts were awesome and the vibe is really nice. Until I walked back to my car.... A huge grey truck was backing into a no park zone and as I walked back I said you can have my spot. Rather than responding I got a look of distain and the individual turned and walked away pulling out his phone, complaining to whom ever. That will teach me to try and be kind.... LoL.Sure hope it wasn't the owner. Keep up the good work Beehive! S Salem loves you!

Sarah N.

Yelp
What a cool spot!! Especially during Covid, plenty of outdoor space. I would give 4.5 stars if I could, only because most of the food trucks only had plastic or styrofoam containers. They're all individually owned of course, but it would be fantastic if they all used paper/cardboard or other sustainable containers. Lottie's Pad Thai has cardboard containers & their food is delicious!!

John B.

Yelp
Decent place to grab a bite or for a casual date. Lots of variety though I've noticed not all the places are open all the time...kinda hit and miss. Access and parking can become a pain if it's supper busy.

Kat J.

Yelp
This food cart station is a nice addition to the variety available in Salem. There are a wide range of options but each cart has it niche. You must turn at the light to get to the parking lot unless you're coming from the neighborhood behind the station. There were plenty of open spots though it just started to get crowded when we arrived. We chose to sample several carts for our first time. The stuffed vine leaves for $3 were spot on, and a steal!! The pad Thai food from Lottie's Pad Thai well done and only $8 *note she doesn't have an intercom to shout out orders, though she tries to yell, so it's best to check back for your dish. The taco box for $9 was fantastic and absolutely delicious, definitely a repeat. (too good to remember a pic) The chopped brisket combo for $14 from Cindy Lou's was tasty and hit the spot. There is something for everyone without a doubt. We tapped out at full from the sampler but look forward to try the ice cream or boba or bake Tater or super teriyaki. There is also a bee hive tap house by the pad Thai though we did let try. Each seating area is provided by each cart though it's first come first serve to sit anywhere. The best kept secret are the heaters by the tap house but not necessary in the summer. There were games and faux grass area to play/picnic. Though several carts were surprisingly closed so it can be hit or miss. Menus are subject to change and hours vary among carts. But definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
We were on vacation and family brought us to this cute place. There is a parking lot that is paved. There are portable bathrooms and sinks to wash your hands. There was about 15 trucks trucks when we went. I loved that there was a lot of options because everyone in my family eats something different. There was also a lot of drink options and they had beer. There was plenty of picnic tables and shade. Definitely a 5 star would highly recommend stopping here. It's always fun to try new foods.

Viv L.

Yelp
I was searching for food trucks and this place popped up. Candidate Mike Ellison for House District 19 was campaigning. Lots of his supporters were there. We came to get dinner, not for the campaign (we didn't know this was going on). =) I had the "carne asada fries" at Super Teriyaki Bowl. The food was fresh and delicious. They give a large portion. I truly enjoyed it!! My husband had the Korean Cheesesteak. He can't remember the name of the place. For dessert, I had a mint chip ice cream on a cone and he had a chocolate shake. There were so many food choices to satisfy your cravings. We will be coming back for lunch and bringing a friend as well.

Breanne W.

Yelp
I love how much this food truck hub has grown, there is even a tented area next to a beer tap truck. Parking can be tight when it's busy & I've spent 20 mins waiting for food at one truck (I was the only customer), but the food is pretty good. Love Dalila's Tacos & Chelo's Ceviche has some great dishes. The Mac at the BBQ place was awesome, but I paid $4 for Cole slaw they never gave me. I am looking forward to trying some of the other trucks & especially the beer tap truck.

N O.

Yelp
The food prices have been jacked up at all the places along with orders constantly wrong! The time they close is too early especially for the summer time. It is what it is... you are all losing money and customers, but I guess you're okay with that. I'll just keep going to the yard where the prices are better and the food is as well! Your loss.. their gain

Jim W.

Yelp
Beehive has been supplying South Salem with a social engagement that helps us maintain our sanity with a nice selection of brews around some tasty food truck options. The outdoor setting is socially responsible and comfy for such a small foot print in the community. This is one of those locations that the community needs to remember how important it is to support these small business owners, who have create an opportunity that wouldn't exist with out there due diligence and perseverance in this challenging COVID era.

Susan S.

Yelp
Lottie's pad Thai Ordered the pineapple fried rice Came burnt! Would have given no stars if I could have.

Cristal D.

Yelp
Perfect little mix of food trucks! Tucked away into a corner, this station has a variety of food including, American, Japanes, Indian, and Thai! There was desserts and drinks as well. Prices were common for food trucks and there were several shady spots to sit and enjoy the meal. Its outdoors and I saw it was dog friendly so I brought my dog along as well. It's a bit narrow but it can also be described as cozy. Theres an area to play corn hole as well. A good little area to grab some street food and relax.

Chris D.

Yelp
The Thai cart, Osaka hibachi, and the beer cart are all musts here. We come at least once a month.

Aileen M.

Yelp
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! this place..... They really have thought of everything to feel comfortable at this place. canopies for shade, heat lamps for the cold nights, fire pits to surround and enjoy company with. There is never a shortage when it comes to seating. Music in the evening by live bands on those awesome warm nights. Tons of variety of food pods such as pad Thai, gyros, Mexican, Chinese, and more! Kid friendly and perfect stop if you want to get out in the sunshine and have an outdoor meal with the fam.

Amy N.

Yelp
Finally! Good food and good selection. Had the hand made tacos at Dalia's Taqueria. Delish!!1 Next stop Pad thai!

Robert P.

Yelp
This is a relatively new food truck location that has some pretty good trucks. Come enjoy tacos, hotdogs, gyros, and more. Good outdoor seating and also beer at the far end

Charity H.

Yelp
5 stars for Lil' Bites food truck. Yummy burgers, and the basil garlic fries are of the hook good! Perfect portions for my son and my smaller appetites. Super affordable. Great customer service. We'll be back

Craig H.

Yelp
This review is for Bobalicious. That place is seriously addictive. Love the green tea with peach and honey bubbles. Cannot believe I willingly give up 5.50 for a cold drink but it's a real treat leaving me waiting for the next one.

Jay R.

Yelp
Threw away the food. So bad. Don't waste your money on the boba cart. $10 per bowl. Bowl wasn't even half full. And the orange chicken was a bag from Costco most likely. Awful. Also, the boba I ordered didn't come with boba. When I asked, he said the boba is extra. Don't do it. 12/5/21

Paula F.

Yelp
Nice to have a food cart park in South Salem. The cart that is a definite must is Lottie's Pad Thai - her food is great and she will remember you if you come more than once. The others are hit and miss - mostly miss. The Mexican food truck is good, not great, but they do charge you $0.50 to use a credit card. There used to be a Japanese fusion cart that was good but they aren't there anymore. Many of the carts have odd hours and are often closed during normal weekday lunch hours (when I go most often as I work nearby). The park itself is pleasant and clean with nice flowers and landscaping and a covered outdoor patio with some heat lamps. The issue can be parking and of course the surrounding area can be sketchy.

Jenny H.

Yelp
Awesome place, I was looking for a place I could grab some brunch while on a road trip with our dog, I was surprised how hard it was to find any place with outdoor seating open on Sunday, then I came across this place, so many options to choose from! It gets 4stars for the food and earns the fifth star for the outdoor seating with shade and being dog friendly.

Frosty D.

Yelp
They play good music. Theres an excellent variety. The people are nice. Theres a beer trailer!!! Restrooms? Nope, some portables. But, it's a food truck lot so restrooms not included. Great little corner, parking can really suck during lunch hour.

Danielle H.

Yelp
So many options and everything has been so good. My favorite have been the Indian food cart (sorry I can't remember the name) and Manna Sushi. The Indian food IS. SO. GOOOOOD. We tried their lamb tikka masala and garlic naan. Yes girl, so good. Their lab was tender and so flavorful. I wish I could eat this everyday. I had Manna two days in a row and I regret nothing. I would've made it three days, but I had to take my sister to the airport instead lol My boyfriend enjoyed the bbq spot, and I've previously had tacos from the taqueria and it was good. Will definitely be back to try the other carts!

Gene B.

Yelp
This pod has really caught on. Parking is usually tight. As of the date of this review there are ca. 14 food trucks on site. Those which have separate reviews on Yelp are: It's a Pasta, Bobablastic, Better Than Mama's, Aloha Shave Ice, Dalia's Taqueria, Cindy Lou's, Little India, and KBW Mediterranean Food. Those without an individual Yelp entry are: Lottie's Pad Thai, Beehive Taphouse, Ha La L (gyros), Baketater, Super Teriyaki Bowl, and Scooped. As other reviewers have stated, open hours of individual trucks are unpredictable. It's best to go there in a spirit of flexibility and curiosity, but I'd be the first to admit that if an anchor truck like Dalia's is closed, it takes a lot out of the experience, and I think it will hurt return visitation, long-term. If you have a full-sized or extended-cab truck, definitely park carefully with your exit strategy in mind.

Laurie P.

Yelp
Last night we went to lotties pad Thai at BH . we ordered 3 dinners 2 spicy one regular spice and 3 orders of appetizers, egg rolls and cream cheese puffs. Cost 51 bucks !! The dinners where mis marked. The spicy was marked m for mild and it was the spicy one. Not a big deal. All the appetizers where over cooked and impossible to eat. Such a disappointment.

Mona C.

Yelp
The Beehive has been a great experience for me and my hubby. We've ordered food from other countries, out of our comfort zone, they are awesome! Great service, great food! Thank you Beehive. We will continue to support our local business during this difficult time.

Renae C.

Yelp
Hit or miss with food and bees. I want to love it here because it's close to home, has a good variety, and reminds me of when I lived in Portland. But the food is not amazing. It's just OK.

Jon G.

Yelp
I like food trucks and I love how these are all together. The one thing I dont like is that you never really know when you show up which places are going to be opened or closed. My recommendation when heading there is to figure out which places are going to be open. This will give you a better idea on which food you can have.

Lily L.

Yelp
Great food choices and drinks to bee had by everyone!! Bring the family or go with friends, you will not be disappointed.

Ali M.

Yelp
This little gathering of food trucks is great! They've got many options including tacos, hot dogs, BBQ, and even boba tea. My hubby and I had Chicago dogs and fries in the rain with a mango boba tea and were able to eat under the tents with heaters. Very cute, highly recommend!

Bob R.

Yelp
OMG-Chaka Brah!!! I'm currently eating the Fully Loaded Grilled Cheese. Again-OMG!! You gotta go there. Next time I'm getting a Shaka Dog.

Kirsten E.

Yelp
Yeeeeeeessssss!!!!!! This is the best place to come get some food and hang out on a nice sunny evening!

Kristi R.

Yelp
We love this place. Tons of options including ice cream, shaved ice, tacos and barbecue. Only downfall is there are Bees. Make sure you bring a bounce dryer sheet, or some bug spray because during warm months there are lots of them. Otherwise area and food is great!!! Wonderful for couples or a place to take the kids.

Jeff H.

Yelp
Enjoyed our time at this food cart pod, friendly people at the beer taps and at the hibachi cart. A little bummed that a few of the carts were closed because we had heard that the Thai was good. Good place and well worth the time and effort and money. Stop by and give them a try.

j p.

Yelp
love this neighborhood gem! all the food has been great, and the service from all the carts has been even better! there are so many tasty choices i always have trouble deciding....

Elsa C.

Yelp
I bought a salad roll for 6 bucks at Lotties pad thai. It was lettuce and noodles. I've tried salad roles at other places in town most are pretty good in fact most places have shrimp or pork options. This was simply basic noodles and lettuce very little flavor. I don't recommend.
