"Beer + Burger is a straightforward place that won’t blow you away, but will satisfy any cravings for carbs and a cold one. There are decent burgers and there is beer, some in quite annoyingly labelled fridges like ‘cider + crazy shit’. The neon signage, loud music, and references to ‘goop sauce’ feel too much like someone trying to be ‘down with the kids’. But this King’s Cross spot is actually pretty useful. Co-workers drift in from nearby offices and find some relief with the easy-going, no-need-to-book policy, friends pile into benches before Scala gigs, and commuters inhale burgers on hard stools before heading to nearby St Pancras. Know that there’s also a solid plant-based burger. It’s not one of our favourite spots in the area, but for last-minute plans that require convenience and solid food, it works." - Sinéad Cranna

Their King’s Cross branch isn’t a complicated place doing complicated things, it’s just a chilled spot that’s perfect for catch-ups over a pale ale and people who could spend an eternity choosing between teal and turquoise.
