26 Essential Stops on Your Michigan Road Trip | Eater

"Grand Rapids consistently earns its bragging rights to the Beer City USA moniker, boasting more craft beer per square mile “than just about any place on earth,” according to tourism officials. Fact check them for yourself by taking a self-guided (and delicious) tour of the Beer City Ale Trail, which includes more than 80 stops at craft breweries such as perennial favorites like HopCat or Atwater (where you’ll begin), or newcomers like Brass Ring Brewing Co., plus a splash of cideries, distilleries and meaderies. Just remember to drink responsibly and bring along a designated driver—or consider taking a tour through one of the local tour companies." - Vox Creative

DecantSF Brings New Wine Bar and Bottle Shop to SoMa | Eater SF

"Once located in the SoMa space now occupied by DecantSF, City Beer Store relocated to a larger nearby location; the former space was described as really dark and pretty masculine and industrial, a look the new owners deliberately moved away from." - Caleb Pershan

They have a great selection of craft beer, but, the area gives off hobo vibes and I've never left where someone didn't try to approach me in the actually very well lit parking lot. The employees are great, but, I hope every one of them keep a gun behind the counter and have one for the walk out to their cars when they close at night and have to turn off the lights.

Google
Horrible. They call them beer city.yet they have super outdated stuff like this in the cooler. Just a joke. Also they have a very very very limited selection of beers. To call your self beer city. One would expect an extensive selection of beers. Not here.

The 5 stars is for the man on the grill in the parking lot Big Tone! You have to try the turkey knuckles, jerk chicken leg quarter, and the spicy polish. 🔥 🔥 🔥

Recently stopped in here and there are SO many selections. You name it they probably have it. The store is clean and inviting. Their walk in cooler is HUGE! The employee was kind and helpful. There is plenty of parking.

Yelp
Huge selection of liquor, wine, beer, sodas, mixers, snacks, smoking supplies, and a lot more. The prices seemed very reasonable. Extra points for being the only liquor store near where I was staying in Grand Rapids that was open at 8pm on a Sunday. The guys that worked there were very helpful and friendly. We came for bourbon & mixers to make old fashioneds. We bought a bottle of Elijah Craig bourbon & they gave us two bottles of mixers for free. If I lived in this area, I would be making frequent stops here.
