We booked Beercycle for my daughter’s 21st birthday, but the experience was extremely disappointing and poorly organised.
The event was supposed to start at Good George Bar at 6 PM, and the company even booked a table for us there at 5 PM. However, on the same afternoon, around 2 PM, we suddenly received a message telling us to go to a completely different location. Because our plans were already set at Good George Bar, we had no choice but to walk to the new location in heavy rain.
When we arrived, it turned out to be a garage, not a proper meeting point. The Beercycle was not prepared, it was locked, and the staff even asked us to help move the bike in the rain. Some of my daughter’s friends had to physically push it, which felt very unprofessional and unsafe.
The Bluetooth speaker was not charged, so we couldn’t play any music for almost the entire ride. Considering we had spent weeks preparing a playlist for the 21st birthday, this completely ruined the main part of why we booked the Beercycle.
The route also made no sense — the first stop was back at Good George Bar, the place we had originally been told to start from.
At the end of the tour, we all had to go back to the same garage to park the bike, which genuinely made us feel like we were doing staff duties rather than being paying customers.
The company later acknowledged all these issues by email, but despite multiple follow-ups, they have not responded, and the resolution offered so far has been minimal and disappointing.
Overall, the experience was chaotic, stressful, and not worth the price. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their communication and professionalism.
