Bee's Knees & Honey Lounge

Pre-gamed here with a few drinks before our actual dinner. Lovely spot that's equally family-friendly (saw a few large parties with strollers), Tinder date-friendly (dark candlelit lighting) and friends' night out-friendly (ample seating in all configurations). The namesake drink was classically comforting, with just the right amount of mead. The Lemongrass Spritz was a miss, however--neither sparkly nor refreshing enough. However, the Buttermilk Brined Fried Chicken Bites we spoiled our appetites with made up for that, with its perfect batter and tangy yuzu yogurt dipping sauce.

We stopped in for a girls night and couldn’t have been happier with the experience! The $1 oysters were fresh and briny, and the kale salad was bright, balanced, and delicious. The real standout, though, was our server Josh—absolutely fantastic service. He went above and beyond and even created the most exquisite Kahlúa-style cocktail without any dairy. It was so smooth and decadent we nicknamed it the “Josh-spresso”—and honestly, it deserves a permanent spot on the menu. Can’t wait to return!

Phenomenal drinks. The food is made fresh and delicious. The environment is very chill, the lounge is very spacious with a large seating area at the bar. Expansive drink options. The bartender Christopher was friendly and approachable. He was very knowledgeable about the drinks and he made them very well. None of that pre-batch stuff. He was fun and engaging as well.

We booked the Honey Lounge + Roof-deck for our private event and we would 100% do it again! The space was beautifully decorated and comfortably fit our ~60 guests. The cocktails were inventive and delicious! And the food (especially the sliders) were a hit! We also loved that we could control the music. Most of all, Matthew and his team were such a joy to work with. Matthew was so communicative and accommodating, and made sure we had everything we needed for our celebration. Huge thanks to him for all of the coordination! After our event time ended, several of us migrated downstairs to a huge and comfy booth to continue enjoying cocktails. If you're considering this place for a private event (or for a casual cocktail evening), do it!

Food was awesome. Waiter was very personable and attentive. Expensive but worth the quality. Cocktails were delicious. We got the garlic shrimp, which was very good. The sauce was awesome, the bread that came with. It was so good for the sandwich. I can’t remember what we got but it had prosciutto on it and it was awesome. The bread makes a huge difference when making quality meals. I would definitely return so happy I found this place.

We stopped by on a weekend mid afternoon for a little snack and some drinks. It was quite empty (not surprising given the time of day) and the servers were very attentive. The space is quite large with large tables and so I would recommend for larger parties as well. We enjoyed the drinks but thought our food was just okay. I'd love to visit again to try more of their food!

We hosted a private party in the Honey Lounge upstairs during the afternoon - the food was excellent, the space adorable and the bartenders friendly and speedy. More than anything, Bee's Knees was a dream to work with ahead of time - they were incredibly flexible and timely with space access, design of the space, and answering our multitude of questions. I would host a private party there again in a heartbeat.

Had a group event here and from day one, Matt was easy to work with throughout the process. They opened up a little early and accommodated food allergies. The space was great, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the service was perfect. Couldn’t recommend more for group events. We’ve also been for dinner/drinks as well (as a small group) and that was a great time!

Stopped by Bee's Knees Honey & Lounge recently and had a really enjoyable time overall. The vibe is cozy and a little upscale without feeling pretentious--great spot to relax with a drink and some shareable plates. To drink, we ordered a hot toddy and a mulled wine. Both were perfect for a chilly night and nicely spiced. The hot toddy especially hit the spot. For food, we tried a few things. The Sweet Potato Beignets with hot honey & parmesan were definitely interesting--sweet, savory, and a bit unexpected. Not my favorite item of the night, but still worth trying if you like unique flavor combos. The BK Sliders (3 pc) were solid: thick applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, Russian dressing, and pickle on mini brioche buns. Simple, satisfying, and nicely done. The real standout though was the Calamari with shichimi pepper, jalapeño, lime zest, and herbal dipping sauce--absolutely amazing. Crispy, flavorful, and the seasoning had just the right kick. Easily the best dish we ordered. Service was friendly and the atmosphere made it easy to linger. Overall a great experience, and I'd definitely come back--especially for that calamari and another hot toddy.

I almost wanted to gatekeep this place because this is like the best oyster happy hour deal i've found in nyc. And I've tried a lot of oysters too so trust me when I say this is good. $1 oysters every monday from 5pm to closing (as long as you buy a drink per dozen oysters). And the cocktails are really good too. Honestly, everything was good. I really enjoyed my steak frites. The only thing is that it takes awhile for the food to come out but luckily my friends and I are yappers so time passed faster.

We found this bar after a show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg, it was just a short walk around the corner. It was moody, warm, fun, and inviting! This place is a vibe, they were playing lively music and had sports playing as well. Wasn't too loud, a very pleasant experience. They have a really long bar and booths for seating. This is a great spot for groups. We sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and personable. We just had drinks. They had great local beer options, but it was all canned beers nothing on draft. They had a pretty extensive cocktail and whiskey menu with some really tasty options. Great bar to hang out at and have some drinks. They seem to have a solid food menu for happy hour, weekend brunch, and dinner. Will definitely come back and try their food. This bar is worth a visit!

In a dark cave with rap and good eats! The darkness keeps it cool and mysterious. Just a reminder the lychee cocktail is not juice for anyone that needed a reminder. It is smooth but catches up to you. The avocado snack not pictured has also made it into my favorite category along with the chicken sandwich. The service is good it gets quite busy here often. The ambiance is my scene casual but chic!

We came here for drinks, and wow this spot has amazing cocktails. Well made and not overpriced (for NYC 2025). They also have amazing mocktail options as well. Staff was lovely, and willing to make off the menu modifications to cocktails super easy. I do appreciate they have plenty of room for seating, so you never feel squished. The only reason why it didn't get 5 stars, because the music is awkwardly to loud to have easy to hear convos, but not loud enough to have the total party vibe... the awkward gray area that doesn't make sense.

Popped in here before my facial at glowbar and was so pleasantly surprised! The drinks are all interesting, as is the food, but the Japanese whiskey menu is certainly one of the best in the neighborhood! there are so many options at different price points, they also have a flight of 1oz pours! The service is also great here, friendly bar tenders and fast orders, the bar itself is really cute with nice leather backs to booth side of tables and a nice long bar - I could see this being the perfect place for a birthday party or some celebration! Will def be back!

Not bad, but also not great? Loved the chill vibe and friendly service but the drinks were a bit mediocre and the ambience was ok. I could see this as fitting more of a friends than a date vibe. An ok place for one drink, but I couldn't see myself hanging out here all night.

Stopped by here on a Saturday night with a group of friends to grab drinks. Definitely busy, but we were lucky enough to be sat right away. They had a good drink selection, and drinks were decent. They also have a full menu, but we didn't grab any food while we were here. Definitely a louder restaurant with music and talking. They do accept reservations, so definitely keep that in mind if you're planning on coming. Good place to stop for some drinks.

This place is so cute!! A dark and moody vibe that becomes super lively once people start coming in around 2ish. The cocktails are incredible and staff super friendly! The French fries are totally recommended. The music was also such a vibe!!

Really lovely cocktail bar in Williamsburg. The interior was very industrial chic and dimly lit. We came Saturday night and it wasn't crowded yet thankfully and were able to immediately sit at the bar. They had two floors of seating and plenty of high top table options as well. We got the bees knees, the banana stand, and some truffle fries to share. Really enjoyed the bee's knees and the fries. The aioli sauce that came with the truffle fries was amazing. Looking forward to coming again and trying more of their cocktails and food.

There seems to be a surge in New American restaurants all coming up in Brooklyn/Williamsburg, however, Bee's Knees stands above many I've tried. Easy Resy for an anniversary, the vibe is very chic and modern, but not too loud nor to sterile. Great happy hour and daily deals plus the cocktail list is plenty enough to come here for. They have a huge selection of spirits and nice curated selection of wines and cocktails. My fiance and I both had the bee's knees, and it was very, very tasty. The calamari was outstanding. Perfectly fried, lots of delicious pieces, and a dipping sauce I could've drank. Typically I love the marinara, but this herbal dipping sauce (what it says in the description), was bright, citrus forward, tasty beyond belief. The seared salmon medium rare was perfect. Shout out to our server for just knocking it out of the park with the kitchen communication - and shout out to the chef, man this was a tasty salmon. I loved the side lemon kale salad, great counterbalance. The salmon was melt in your mouth medium rare, the crust on it was excellent, and it was a pretty big portion. Would come back here in an absolute heartbeat.

A new cocktail bar on Kent Ave, that not only serves great cocktails but delicious food too. If you're not sure what to get, I'd recommend getting the Bee's Knees cocktail to start. If you're hungry, the Chicken Burger was delicious and so were the fries. This spot has great ambiance, is dimly lit, doesn't seem to get all that crowded and the staff is super friendly. I'd high recommend visiting with friends or going on a date!

I recently hosted my sisters baby shower at Bee's Knees and Honey Lounge. The event manager, Matt was so kind and helpful! He made planning the event very easy. He was extremely accommodating with all of our needs. The staff that work here are also very helpful. They made set up and clean up very easy for my family. If you have to host an event, I highly recommend checking this cute, rustic, classy venue out!

Great atmosphere at this cocktail bar and lounge. It's on the larger side with a huge bar and a handful of semi circle lounge tables. A perfect spot for medium and large groups. I had been drinking beer earlier, so I had a beer here. They had a half dozen bottled options. The spirits and cocktail list is certainly the strong points here. Bartender was attentive and polite. I really enjoyed the Mac Miller playlist they had going. I'm no audiophile, but I thought the acoustics in the bar were set up well.

Bee's Knees is a dope spot with a dope staff. People are laid back and cool. The vibe is nice and the atmosphere is super chill. Drinks are well crafted and I would recommend this place for anything. Certainly a good first date spot.

This place is incredible. Feels like the perfect speakeasy vibe while also having solid food, fantastic cocktails, and a perfect atmosphere. Not too loud. Great booths, tables, and long nice bar seating too. Super nice staff. Will be back again for sure. Make certain to get the "honey I shrunk the kids" drink. It will not disappoint.

This place sucks, showed up here with 80+ people (we were the only people at the bar on a Friday night at 1130pm) from a wedding party and asked if they would play different music. Bartender and crew refused to change to anything relevant and were extremely rude. Very annoying given we were their entire business for the night and they wouldn't even entertain a bride and her entire wedding

Incredible find! It only opened in February and wish I'd discovered it sooner. Multiple seating areas including a dark and romantic main floor with couches and private tables, a comfy indoor second level along with a gorgeous private terrace complete with lush plants and foliage that feel like a magic escape in the middle of williamsburg. Drinks were out of this world! Loved the signature bees knees and the barrel aged mescal Negroni. Our server, Kong, was sweet, attentive and so knowledgeable. Please make sure to save these beautiful outdoor plants over the winter!!

This has to be one of the best bars I've ever been to in NYC. So cozy, so fun! Our server was incredibly nice! We got too many drinks, but the best ones we ordered were: the lychee martini, the frozen piña colada, thyme to die, Martha Von Trapp, and the piña chili Margarita! I will say, they're a tad pricier than we'd like, but the fact that every single drink we had was delicious?? Worth it! also, fries + garlic aioli?? A MUST! Can't wait to come back.

Went here on Halloween and loved the vibe. They decorated the place so well to the point I wondered how they did it. Drinks were nice and strong. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Are the appetizers only, but judging by them, the other food should be good, too.

Selected this place for dinner because it's near Second City. Service was perfunctory. Crispy brussel sprouts were good. Watermelon salad was bland. Chicken sandwich was adequate. Cocktails were okay. It was fine for a simple pre-show meal.

Great experience all around! Exceptional cocktails (I recommend the espresso martini), cool friendly service, and really yummy food. All the burgers come with two patties and the fries are perfect. So far it seems they aren't getting too crowded so this could be a great spot for a birthday or larger party! Will definitely be back.

First of all....why would you have an impossible burger on the menu if you can't make the burger fully vegan? Having a bun that has diary totally defeats that purpose. Maybe start off there. The drinks are alright and the service is good but really disappointed with this little menu. Hopefully y'all take my advise and have things on the menu that proper can eat without it modifying it.

Such a great new spot in the neighborhood! Came here for dinner & drinks - everything was great. We ordered oysters (delicious), and I got the impossible burger which was the best one I've ever had! The cocktails were all great - we loved the pickle back whiskey sour, so creative & a great twist on a classic. Ambiance was super fun with good music playing & a lounge type atmosphere. Def will return soon!

This winter visiting Brooklyn with my BF and he found this place that had just opened days ago. We decided to stop by and we found this amazing atmosphere with a great crowd and and super nice staff. The drinks Breakfast Tiffany and Banana Stand were well designed and tasty. I'll definitely come back to Bee's Knees in my next Williamsburg visit.

Very cozy environment! Drinks were out of this world! The service was very friendly and drinks came out quick, even though the place was jampacked. The breakfast at Tiffany's was my favorite drink!

pina chili margarita was premade which was a bummer, the staff was really nice, and the ambiance was very fitting for a first date
