Came across this restaurant after exhausting most other restaurant options in the mission. Limited menu which helps with deciding what to order quicker and without flipping through pages. They also have images of the food if you’re less familiar with viet food or are a visual person (like me). The owners are a sweet couple and use the wife’s (grandmas?) recipes. The food is delicious- Will definitely be coming back!

I’m thrilled to have a new Vietnamese restaurant in the Mission! We tried the chicken wings, papaya salad, combo broken rice, and the vegetarian noodle soup. The wings were incredibly juicy and full of flavor, and the veg noodle soup was so hearty—real comfort food. The portions were generous, and we initially thought we’d have leftovers, but the food was so delicious, especially the tender meat in the broken rice combo, that we ended up finishing everything! The atmosphere is cozy and charming, making it a great spot for a date or a casual hangout with friends. What truly stands out, though, is that it’s a family-run restaurant. Their passion for Vietnamese cuisine shines through in the delicious food and the warm, attentive service. Highly recommend supporting this local gem!

Google
great new spot for the neighborhood! We got the combo appetizer to try everything, and then shared a dry noodle (which comes with shrimp and minced pork) with an added grilled pork chop. the owners are super sweet

Google
Small menu that packs a punch. The star of the menu is the com tam ("broken' rice plates). I've had these all over the city, and I must say, the quality at this place stands out. You can taste the freshness of the food. The service was friendly and efficient. I had the pork com tam and the Vietnamese papaya salad with beef jerky, (new to me). It was all very good. Finished off my meal with warm soy milk that came with pandan. Super delicious and perfect for the rainy/windy weather. I will be returning to this place for sure.

Google
Unique and delicious, super nice staff, good time to check out as this place will definitely get busy. Had the Deluxe Soup and Herbal Tea. The soup was super flavorful and rich while also not heavy (really unique flavor combo and the corn adds just the right touch of sweetness to enhance the flavors of the veggies and meat). The tea was surprisingly nice too. The staff was kind and responsive. The whole place has a nice, modern fun ambience.

Nice to see a new addition to the mission, so we decided to give this place a try. There are certainly some high notes to highlight and some improvements to recommend. I like the simple but tasteful decor. Gives you this feeling to swing by and do a quick replenish and yet you won't feel like you want to hang around for too long. The menu is simple and to the point we tried three dishes. The papaya salad, the fried tofu and the pork chop with the broken rice. On the papaya salad. One of my favorite dishes when I'm in Southeast Asia, the papaya was nice but the beef jerky served with it doesn't work, also the dressing doesn't quite make it. It lacks fish sauce, lime juice and a hint of chili. Nothing that can't be fixed. The tofu, love the batter, it's crisp yet soft nicely done but the presentation is a bit of a turn off. Don't drown the tofu in hoisin and Sriracha sauce. Keep the sauce on the side and make it lighter. Hoisin is very sweet hence over powers the tofu flavor. Now the main dish. The broken rice and pork chop. The rice was done to perfection and so was the egg. The pork chop was nice but could use a bit more flavor. Overall a nice experience with good service.

Google
What a nice authentic Vietnams place. Everything we ordered was delicious. This is my husband 1st option for dinner. Own by a young couple that are so passionate about cooking. Totally recommended !

Yelp
First off. These are some of the best chicken wings I have had in a long time. We got take out and they were still crispy and delicious when we got home! We ordered the broken rice and the house special dry noodle. Both very fresh and it's clear the chef knows how to cook! Great portions and everything tasted great! Will be coming back. One small thought I had when picking up the food was to perhaps improve the ambience of the restaurant itself (maybe warmer lighting and a new coat of paint). I hope you don't mind me saying this, only saying it because we were so impressed by your food and really want you to succeed! I imagine it tastes even better fresh out of the kitchen, dining at the restaurant :-)

Yelp
Newish Vietnamese restaurant in the mission area. Limited seating and limited ventilation. We were sitting at the counter facing the open kitchen and we kept getting overwhelmed by the smoke from the cooking. We were expecting to food to come out quick since there were limited menu items and we were the only new walk in customers. But the food took a little long to come out because I think they had to get through a lot of takeout/delivery orders. Overall I liked the deluxe combo broken rice. The chicken was pretty tender and juicy. The pork chop was a bit dry though -- I would actually recommend getting the chicken broken rice. The egg fritter thing on the side was interesting -- it reminded me of Korean egg rolls but these had vermicelli noodles inside. It was quite tasty with the house chili sauce on the side. The salad was a bit of a mystery they gave a side of fish sauce and a bunch of plain cabbage, cucumber, and tomato pieces. There was like too much fish sauce to be pouring it over the veggies. I ended up dipping the cabbage in it and it was fine ?? The soup on the side was kind of meh I couldn't really tell what the broth was made of it kinda gave corn + egg drop soup vibes?

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday night at around 6:30 PM and there were plenty of tables available. The restaurant is narrow in its initial appearance but goes very deep into the building. Unfortunately, we were sat at the back table next to the bathroom, which unfortunately occasionally smelled like a bathroom. We got the Cha Gio Tom Cua (fried spring rolls), the Com Tam Thap Cam (deluxe combo broken rice), and the Hu Tieu Thap Cam (deluxe noodle soup), which was plenty of food for 3 people. The waitress was very kind in explaining our dishes to us as they came out, showing us the different ingredients and sides as well as explaining what the different dips/broths were. Very informative! The portions of the Broken Rice and Noodle Soup were also huge, so I'm glad we shared them. Everything was plated nicely, especially the fried spring rolls! Cha Gio Tom Cua (fried spring rolls): 4/5, super freshly fried (maybe wait a second before eating these because they were very hot). They're smaller than I expected. Com Tam Thap Cam (deluxe combo broken rice): 5/5, the chicken and pork were so tender! The egg yolk was still runny, which I loved for the rice. My favorite was combining the fresh veggies and the meats with the pickled radish and carrot to make fresh, savory bites. Hu Tieu Thap Cam (deluxe noodle soup): 4/5, warm and comforting with a clean broth! We got the rice noodles, which were cooked perfectly. Loved how many toppings were in it, especially the soft boiled egg which stayed jammy and delicious. The chicken was not over-boiled, and the shrimps were large. The corn was nicely sweet! Overall, I had a great time trying this new local place. The waitstaff were super friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. Would come back!

Yelp
Came here with friends to try out a new Vietnamese place! We ordered the deluxe noodle soup, deluxe broken rice, and spring rolls to share! The spring rolls were fried perfectly - even the shrimp tail was very crisp (10/10)! The deluxe noodle soup was filled with things from corn and lettuce to chicken and egg. The egg was soft boiled, so a little runny. The soup was amazingly delicious - 9/10! The deluxe broken rice was probably my favorite dish of the night - it had a large variety of items in it, including chicken, egg meatloaf, pork chop, and pickled veggies! Definitely a 10/10! The service was great as well! The restaurant is on the smaller side, but there is a decent amount of seating! Overall, would definitely come back again :)

Yelp
Summary: Tasty Vietnamese addition to the area Details: The older I get, the lower my risk tolerance for trying brand new spots has become, so Bee's was a bit of a gamble, being as new as it is. But, I've also been getting bored of eating the same things in the Mission, so, away we went, and it didn't disappoint! The vibe is on the more hip/Insta-friendly side, with a darker interior and flashy neon lights placed about. As one would expect, prices veer in that direction to match as well, though not outrageously so (I'm looking at you, Gao Viet), with most items on the menu falling under $20. The things we ended up eating were all pretty solid, with the deluxe noodle soup, papaya salad, and hot soy milk being standouts, while the combo rice plate was tasty, but a bit too salty for our tastes (as is often the case with Viet rice plates, I've noticed). All in all, a welcome addition to the neighborhood, and worth a shot! Accessibility: Plenty of space inside to get around, though the entrance is on a bit of an incline, which can pose a bit of difficulty if the door isn't being held open (either by someone else, or the automated opener).

Yelp
Hate to be the party pooper here, but I didn't really care for it too much. I came in hungry and I asked the owner what I should order. She said that the broken rice plates were a lot of food, so I order the pork chop rice plate. Really all it is a mound of rice, a very thin and small pork chop and very small portions of some kind of noodle, some pickled veg and two very large pieces of tomato and cucumber. On the side was a small bowl of broth with some green onions floating in it. The flavors were generally pretty good. That being said, about 1/3 of my (already small) pork chop was bone, fat or gristle. Having not had this dish before, I was also a bit confused on how I was supposed to eat it. The veggies, noodles and pickled vegetables and lettuce cups on the side indicated that I was supposed to load everything up into the lettuce and eat it like it was some type of larb, but no utensils other than a spoon for the soup and chopsticks were given to me, so I resorted to tearing the pork chop apart with my bare hands. Lettuce was iceberg (not a fan, in general) and generally doesn't have much flavor, but it left a bitter after taste in my mouth.....not sure where that was coming from. At $18-20 for a main, I wouldn't go as far to say that it is expensive, but I think in order to be properly full, you would need to get a main AND a side, so you are basically looking at $25-30 for a complete meal. Not a great value given the quality imho.

Yelp
I have to say, Bee's really surprised me. I'm usually apprehensive trying street food in the city as it can get a little salty/greasy. Not an issue here. Got the Com Tam combination and I really enjoyed the meats/rice. You can definitely see their skill in grilling and their spice control. Plus, all the accoutrements - the soup, the pickles, the frittata egg thing, were great complements to the entrees. I would be really excited to try more, especially the soups. Also each dish is $20 or less, so it's really not too expensive for SF. Lastly, I really appreciate how nice (and efficient) the owners are and I hope they can get a little more support!

Yelp
This is my first time eating Vietnamese food and I can definitely say I love Thais place. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly and the ambiance of the place was excellent. I can definitely see myself coming back here. I highly recommend this restaurant. I give them 5 stars.

Yelp
Owners are super nice and the food was great! Came on a Sunday night with a group of 5. For apps we shared the fried squid and combo platter with papaya salad, chicken wings, and fried spring rolls. The seasoning on the wings was sweet and savory, would highly recommend. Then I got the house special dried noodle with egg noodles. Really great flavors with the sauce and mixed pork.

Yelp
Was strolling and saw that they had a soft opening. Immediately popped our heads in because I love Vietnamese food but there's not a lot in SF that's authentic and if it is, there's only 1 type: pho. I love com tam, it's one of my go-to whenever i'm craving home food and not pho, so SO glad that there's a restaurant in town that's serving this and to our surprise, very VERY good. FOOD: 5/5 Authentic. Grilled/ charred meat that's flavorful. A balanced meal too! You get your protein, grains, veggies and fiber, all for less than $20. A bang for your buck! We got the rice & pork plate, the dried noodles, and 2 appetizers: wings & calamari. LOVE the seasoning on the wings and you can't go wrong with calamari. SERVICE: 4/5 The restaurant is run by a sweet SF couple. We love supporting small businesses and their dreams. We knew we came during a soft opening so there's def gonna be things to be ironed out. AMBIANCE: 4/5 The restaurant is cozy and small and we sat at the bar so we saw how the chef assembled our plates. Tho we wished it was less smokey but that def added to the ambiance. RECOMMEND: 5/5 (for com tam lovers or folks who wanna try viet food that's not pho or who are getting off work but don't wanna cook but wanna eat good food)

Yelp
I had a small gathering of friends who came for my birthday and the staff were so sweet to let us push tables together in the back. The food was delicious but I might have been sad at the portion size of the egg meatloaf. Overall, solid food and didn't break the bank.

Yelp
Vietnamese food here is exceptional. I had a chance of trying their Wings, Fried Spring Roll, Broken Rice Combo, and the Deluxe Noodle soup. And everything is delicious! Would recommend this place if you are in search for authentic Vietnamese food!

Yelp
Really chill and friendly atmosphere! Our friend is visiting back to SF and we looked for a new place to go to. The food was great and the service was amazing. I got the dry egg noodles! They increased portion to fit our party size!

Yelp
This resturant is very nice and a cozy place. Today Ive tried the new Hotpot menu which is really good. The soup is a little hot and sour. The menu comes with some meet sausage and shrimp. They told us that this menu will be only in the holiday season.

Yelp
My partner and I love Vietnamese food so we were looking forward to trying out this place. We ordered the papaya salad as an appetizer and we thought it was good. The egg loaf was delicious! We were both pleased with our meals and will definitely be returning to try other dishes.

Yelp
Scott and Sofia are the absolute sweetest! Their warmth and dedication to Bee's is so evident in every detail of their restaurant. I tried the noodle soup with chicken, and it truly felt like a warm hug--so comforting and flavorful. And the sweet vanilla ice cream to finish was perfection. You can feel the love they put into every dish. Please visit Bee's not only for the amazing Vietnamese food but also to support this lovely couple and their dream come to life! (Phone did not eat first so I actually do not have a pic of my soup but I did get a cute pic of them!)

Yelp
Their chicken wings are really good!! I got the deluxe combo broken rice and that was really good, the chicken and pork were cooked really well. Also gotta get a vietnamese iced coffee, you cant skip. This is a nice quiet place to hangout and grab a bite!

Yelp
Great food. Not too many menu choices, but had the staples. Made to order, egg rolls were great. Would come again.

Julie L.

Yelp
Great new spot! We tried the chicken wings starter (no photo, ate them too fast - delicious and crispy!), the combination pork chop/chicken broken rice plate, and the dry noodle (Hu tieu kho). All were excellent! The grilled chicken and pork chop in particular were great - nice and smoky, flavorful marinade, still juicy. The texture of the broken rice was spot on, too. Also had the house soy milk (hot) which was fine and slightly vanilla flavored. Interior is small but cozy (slightly smoky, hope they get better ventilation) and service is very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I heard about Bee's from local news websites recently and decided I had to go next time I was in the neighborhood. Popped in around 7:00 on a Thursday and sat at the bar-- it wasn't too busy so I sat down right away. Ordered the Pork and Chicken Broken Rice. It was a pretty enormous portion but so delicious. I ate much more of it than I thought I would. The flavors were amazing. I even ate the cucumber and tomato, both of which I generally don't like and don't eat but they added a refreshing change in texture to the whole meal. The place is very cute and the owners are super nice. I'm excited to go back and try more of their dishes.

Daniel M.

Yelp
Very yummy food, and attentive service. Would recommend. Price is fairly standard for SF

Yelp
Found a very good Vietnamese restaurant in San Francisco. We ordered a pork chop rice and some chicken wings. My friend tried the special dry noodles, which is worth trying for people who are not good at spicy food.
google avatar

Susie O.

Yelp
This place is a great addition along the 16th street food corridor! The flavors were great - would go back just for the fried chicken wings! We had the appetizer sampler and the combo Tham Tap Cam and both were a nice variety - Everything had a fresh flavor spin and was well done. Will be back to try more of the menu.

Rebecca J.

Yelp
All the dishes were delicious! We particularly loved the house special dried noodles, and the chicken wings were extra crispy and flavorful. The owner was very friendly and the service was excellent, they saw we had a lot of bags and gave us an extra table for space. Would definitely recommend giving this spot a try!

Yelp
Great cozy family owned restaurant. Ordered the crispy wings and deluxe combo broken rice plate The meat was very tender and the food & flavors were super delicious and on point. Ohh the food potions were very generous. Family owned and run and very friendly and accommodating. They even had matcha mango and chocolate flavored Mitchel's ice cream. Will definitely return again.

Jeffrey G.

Yelp
Very nice people but they have extremely slow service, cuisine is amateurish and the dishes are unsatisfying.

Cecile C.

Yelp
Delicious entrees, open late and the friendliest most helpful staff! The food is excellent

Yelp
Bee's Vietnamese Street Food is a new spot in the Mission with great food, generous portions, and quick service. We started with the combo appetizer with super crispy chicken wings with the best seasoning. The bánh mì came with freshly grilled-to-order chicken and delicious pâté. The pork chop and chicken rice plates came with soft, broken rice, which is hard to find and reminds me of traveling through Southeast Asia. The meat was tender and the flavors were spot on. My favorite dish was the house special dried noodle with minced pork and shrimp that came with a sweet soy sauce (you pour it on yourself so you can decide how much you like). Even the side of broth that came with the entrées was so flavorful and comforting. For dessert, we had yummy chocolate-covered ice cream sandwiches similar to It's-Its, and for drinks, the Vietnamese coffee, sugar cane juice, and coconut water with fresh pulp. The owners and servers are so friendly and attentive and their passion for sharing authentic Vietnamese cuisine really comes through. I definitely recommend checking it out!

Erick L.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our experience. Both food and service were exceptional. Would highly recommend the chicken wings.

Patrick L.

Yelp
Owners were very nice! Ordered the Broken Rice and Chicken Wings, both really good! Vietnamese Iced Coffee was on the sweeter side but still really good!

Khanh N.

Yelp
Great to see a new Vietnamese spot open up in my hood. Nice variety in that they have dishes that's different from the other 2 places in the neighborhood. The Hu Tieu flavoring was good. The chicken wings were very tasty. Definitely recommend. Got it to go so I can't speak to the in door dinning experience but the couple running the restaurant, serving up grandma's recipes were really nice and friendly. Great customer service. Can't wait to try their other dishes, particularly their com tam.
