⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beijing Capital International Airport – Terminal 3 A beautiful, modern, and extremely well-planned terminal. Terminal 3 is massive in size, yet everything feels surprisingly easy, smooth, and well organized. Wayfinding is clear, and the overall passenger flow is very efficient. The cleanliness level is excellent, especially the toilets which are spotless and well-maintained at all times. The spacious design, comfortable walking areas, and systematic layout truly make it a world-class terminal. Overall, a very pleasant and stress-free travel experience.

北京首都国际机场 Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) 🚖 About 40 minutes’ drive to Beijing city center. ********** Arrival 🛬 Singapore Airlines flights arrive at Terminal 3 (T3). You’ll need to take the unmanned shuttle (Automated People Mover) from T3E (Arrival Terminal) to T3C (Arrival Lobby). ⚠️ The first stop is Station D (T3-D) — do not alight here. ✅ Get off only at the final stop, Station C (T3-C). All visitors must complete the immigration arrival card. If you’ve arranged Fast Immigration Service (Diplomatic Line), two BCIA staff will meet you at the aerobridge & escort you smoothly through the entire arrival process — immigration, baggage claim & all the way to your waiting limousine. ********** Departure 🛫 Singapore Airlines flights also depart from Terminal 3. For Fast Immigration Service (Diplomatic Line) on departure, your hotel will arrange a limousine. Two BCIA staff will meet you at the designated drop-off area & personally escort you through the entire departure process, right up to the lounge. ✈️ SQ Check-in Counters: Area F, Counter 18 🛂 Customs Counter (for tax-refundable items): Near Check-in Area E, Gate 6, for immigration inspection & security checks. 💲 Tax Refund Counter: After taking the APM to the Departure Terminal (T3E), go to the Tax Refund counters (Bank of China) to receive your refund in cash or credit. ********** Lounge 🍽️ Operated by Air China, located on the 3rd floor near Boarding Gates E20 & E21.

Lay-over at Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal 3 flying China Airlines CPH-BKK. My first time in China without really being in China. It’s a quite big airport with lots of international shops and restaurants. You can also get a massage if needed between flights. On the way out I had some cucumber salad, shrimp and a beef dish. On the way back I saw the Queen of the Sky the Boeing 747. Also ate a bowl of soup and had some Starbucks.

Fairly quiet airport at night, with most shops closed except for a few major cosmetic brands. Food options are very limited, and the Starbucks is average at best. Unfortunately, the toilets have an unpleasant smell, similar to an underground basement. The Wi-Fi is also quite restricted and doesn’t allow proper internet use, with no access to most social media platforms. On the positive side, there are plenty of seats and charging stations throughout the terminal. However, vending machines do not accept credit cards and only work with cash, QR codes, or face recognition.

One of the largest and most advanced airports in the world. Plenty of places for passengers to rest while waiting for the flights ✈️. A train is required to get to the baggage claim section. Very clean, spacious, well maintained.

The arrival terminal is quite far from the departure so you need to take an internal train to access, that will take you time in case you booked a taxi, you need to factor in the time. Also the arrival side toilets are so few and far between. It’s quite ridiculous that there’s only 2 cubicles for the ladies toilet and long Q as international flight landed. The departure halls have better toilet facilities but still nothing as good as world number one airports such as Qatar or Singapore. These facilities can be improved. The security check for arrival and departure is quite strict as compared to other countries I’ve been to. But it’s as fast as they do it. Still better than some European airports. Baggage claim and exit to taxi stand etc is smooth enough but the airport is huge so factor in a lot of walking. There’s many restaurants and shopping as well if you need some last minute souvenirs or food. Airport was about 45 min to 1 hour taxi ride for me from city Center during weekday around 4:15pm departure from hotel. Factor in the traffic if you are departing from this airport.

Beijing Capital International Airport is an impressive and well-organized hub that offers a smooth and comfortable travel experience. The airport is modern, spacious, and very clean, with plenty of natural light and clear signage that makes navigation easy even for first-time visitors. Security and immigration procedures are efficient, and the staff members are generally helpful and professional. The airport provides a wide range of amenities, including diverse dining options, convenient shopping areas, and quiet lounges perfect for relaxing during long layovers. Transportation to and from the airport is excellent—whether you choose the Airport Express train, taxis, or buses, getting to the city is straightforward and fast. Overall, Beijing Capital International Airport stands out as a world-class facility that combines efficiency, comfort, and excellent service. I would gladly travel through this airport again.

Shoudu Airport is massive — so big that sometimes you have to take a train to get around inside. The terminals are modern and spacious, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and waiting areas. While I was there, I even saw a small exhibition from the Forbidden City, which made walking through the airport feel a bit like visiting a museum. It’s really impressive how the airport combines convenience with cultural touches.
