Man oh man I hadn't been here in years and wow it is my new favorite Chinese restaurant. The food was so very good. I got beef and scallops and the wonton egg drop soup and egg rolls .The vegetables were cooked just right and the sauce was amazing. Egg rolls were on point. And I ordered from them last night and got a dish I hadn't tried before Hunan Beef and egg rolls again. I asked for them to add mushrooms and extra sauce and make it spicy and that's exactly what they did. It was SOooo good.

I’ll admit at first I wasn’t a fan. And that’s simply because I like fried food. The food I ordered wasn’t fried. (My fault!) After expressing to the manager that we weren’t satisfied, they explained that their food is generally more healthy for their regulars. Now this doesn’t mean they don’t have fried food… they totally do and after getting the orange chicken instead I was much happier with my food. If you’re someone who prefers food that isn’t as oily and fried, then this place is an amazing option. They make a lot of their food healthier. The manager was super kind and helpful and the service was top notch. It’s no wonder this place has been around for 40 years. They accommodate the Lubbock community. I am excited to go back and try the Mongolian BBQ. Thank you again to the management and employees for being so accommodating. Kind people running a local business will always beat out chains.

Google
Second weekend in a row picking up curry chicken (chicken, green & red bell peppers & onion in curry gravy) with steamed rice. It’s so good, great for cold weather! It has a kick to it, but was not too hot, and I made a point to pick out big chunks of the hot red pepper. I did add salt to the entree both times to bring out the flavors, def recommend doing that. The eggrolls are delicious too. One came with the entree last week and I liked it so much that I got an order today. Their online ordering is SO simple! It is not a very appealing building, or inside, but don’t let that deter you.

Google
The food and service were very good. However, the actual restaurant seemed a little run down. It's not really a place I would dine in, so I took my food to go. The lady who took my order was very nice, and I didn't wait long for my food. The food was well worth the price and delicious.

Google
Although the food and service were not bad, it was also not great. It's just kind of average. The wife had hibachi, and I ordered off the menu. Probably won't return, I don't know, maybe.

Google
Food was hot and fresh. We arrived right before the lunch rush but they did end up getting pretty busy afterwards. Ypu can call it in or from what I saw they also opt for uber eats. We tried beef fried rice, veggie lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, Mei fun (rice noodles), tso chicken, and egg rolls. Big portions!! Come hungry!!!

Isaac Gonzalez

Google
I ordered the house special lo mein and it was great. Anytime I order take out, it's fast and correct.

Evangelist S

Google
The food was very good, you can choose your meat and vegetables and have them cooked right before you.

Yelp
Got takeout for dinner and really liked the fact that they had several vegetarian options on the menu, which was missing in most of the other Chinese/Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Veggie soup, egg rolls and lo mein were all flavorful and appetizing.
google avatar

Emma J.

Yelp
the food is unfortunately extremely bland. Don't go if you love spicy lol. The cheese wonton's we ordered had no cheese in them as well.
google avatar

Jesse G.

Yelp
Average at best. Had hunan chicken and chicken was missing, very little to be found. The taste was again average. I'd certainly pass on this place. I went there based on reviews here certainly a mistake on my part. As for cleanliness, I was not impressed.

Yelp
Used to love coming here for the buffet. They have taken the buffet away since covid which is understandable, but very disappointing. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, it was very flavorful and they gave me a lot. The rice isn't to great, it's actually kind of hard, if you come here i suggest you get the house lo mein. It has a mixture of shrimp, beef, pork and chicken. Parking lot is very big. Cashier wasn't very attentive and didn't seem to be paying attention to the orders either.

Yelp
This was the best Chinese place I've been in a while these pictures show the before and af

Yelp
Food came out quick and hot. I ordered sweet n sour chicken & beef n broc flavor was good with big portions.

Rhys S.

Yelp
Pretty good service, tasty food I just wish they had teriyaki sauce and baby corn for the Mongolian grill but otherwise it was amazing

Valerie G.

Yelp
Amazing service, this establishment goes above and beyond; I told the waitress what I wanted since I'm not familiar with their dishes and she gave me exactly what I asked for. The food was delicious and my children loved what they ordered as well!

Clayton M.

Yelp
I'm so glad they brought back the make your own Mongolian bbq. I've been missing it for years. Awesome. I look forward to this place every time I visit Lubbock. Excellent price. The pork egg rolls are crispy and delicious. I've been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years and it always brings good memories. The owners are very nice people too. Always friendly.

Christa S.

Yelp
Mongolian Stir fry is to die for! The building is a bit of a hole in the wall, but the food is delicious! If you eat in and order a soda, they don't give you a "canned" coke. Free refills! I got Mongolian stir fry which came with a egg roll, plus a choice of fried rice or steamed. It was a ton of food for the price. I think my husband and I ate for less than 25.00, which is great!
google avatar

Jazmin C.

Yelp
I love getting the Singapore Mei Fun. So so spicy and good. This dish is always consistent and delicious.
google avatar

Steve L.

Yelp
First time there. Ambiance could use some love. Sweet & sour chicken was excellent. Chow me in was good. I will be coming back.

Victor S.

Yelp
The owners are super friendly and the Mongolian bbq always hits. Definitely a gem of Lubbock.

Cole M.

Yelp
Awesome food great service and the best part is big proportions for cheap so expect to have leftovers!Favorite Chinese food in Lubbock

Yelp
This is one of my all time favorites! The owner is very nice, very honest and when you eat at this place you're supporting a family that is just trying to live the American dream. Great flavor to every dish. Extremely well priced and large but not extreme portion size.

Theresa P.

Yelp
This restaurant looks old and not clean.... The General Tso chicken was OK... the fried rice was inedible.. it was an unappealing brown color and very dry. Although they were pretty busy and had lots of customers coming in and ordering or picking up orders, which was surprising. This was my first visit. The employees were very nice and welcoming. Probably will not return to this location .... sorry.

David C.

Yelp
Food is good. Ambiance not so much. Take home is better than dining in. The noodle dishes were good. Orange beef was well liked by all.
google avatar

Dee P.

Yelp
The egg drop soup was inedible and flavorless (my fav soup I try everywhere). I had some beef dish and fried rice, didn't even eat it it was disgusting.

Cindy M.

Yelp
We tried out this place on a recent visit to Lubbock. We had eaten at this Mongolian BBQ location for years under the previous owner, so we were hoping it would at least be similar. It was very close to the traditional Mongolian BBQ recipe, but with a few missing key ingredients. They were able to add the pineapple from the original dish, but not the ginger water or bean sprouts, which are staples of the BBQ dish. They also had very large chopped veggies, more suitable to stir-fry than Mongolian BBQ. I don't like that it was all served in styrofoam containers with plastic forks (no chopsticks offered). Very wasteful and not environmentally friendly at all. I will say, though, that the food was very good and portion sizes were large. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was the same simple diner that we knew years ago. I do miss seeing the cook make the BBQ on the grill in the middle of the room, though.

Lexie D.

Yelp
The rice tastes like a bag of bens ready rice. Sesame chicken is pretty good. Was expecting traditional fried rice. No eggs or seasonings in fried rice.
google avatar

Paula T.

Yelp
Delicious! I got the Mongolian BBQ and it's what I have been missing in Lubbock for several years. Little did I know it was right there all along. Highly recommend the food. The atmosphere is dated but, it's a total hole in the wall. I did pickup anyway. The servings are HUGE! I ate it for lunch and dinner and I still have some left!
google avatar

Melissa R.

Yelp
Delicious Mongolian stir fry! Don't let the looks deceive you, this place is tasty. I did the build your own Mongolian stir fry with beef and will definitely be coming back.
google avatar

Kit F.

Yelp
Walked in, turned around and walked right back out. The smell was that bad - like rancid fat. Tables aren't clean and neither are the floors. Do yourself a favor and just don't.
google avatar

Adriana B.

Yelp
What a great find! The inside is super ugly. The food is so good! Got the moo shu vegetable. Food cake super fast. Totally my new fave to take to go.

Keisha L.

Yelp
This is by far one of the best Chinese restaurants in Lubbock. I'm surprised of the sort of low rating considering the fact that they are delicious. You can tell everything that you want to know about a restaurant when they prepare your food with as much effort even 30 minutes before closing. You definitely get your bang for your buck here.
google avatar

Devann H.

Yelp
One of the most disgusting places I have ever been. My food was not good, the service was not good and the environment was horrible. There were two woman in there without shoes which made me no longer hungry. I would not go back.
google avatar

Orlando R.

Yelp
Friendly staff and best Mongolian stir fry in Lubbock. Love to eat there my sons favorite place to eat as well. A must eat in Lubbock.
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
Amazing Mongolian BBQ, have not even tried the extensive Chinese menu but it looks great! The Mongolian keeps us coming back, wide variety of meat, veggies and sauces all prepared in front of you. Enjoy watching people try to see how high they can stack their bowl...
google avatar

Melissa D.

Yelp
Quaint family owned and run Chinese food restaurant... apparently my 'rents are regulars here because they could talk about the menu as if it was a family cookbook! Stopped in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised! They have a mongolian style cooktable if that is the style you are looking for... you pick your goodies and they cook 'em right up. I opted for the Beef and Scallops dinner which was perfect. The scallops had been sliced so they were distributed throughout the dish and the brown sauce this was served in was yummmmmmmy! Each meal can feed two people and the veggie fried rice (which does have eggs) is a full dinner size serving. We will be eating here again!
google avatar

Mary M.

Yelp
Sub par.... everything was bland and all the dishes had the same sauce even though they were supposed to be different. The fried rice was bland and inedible. Water was self serve from a rusty weird fountain and had a weird taste....Confused how this place has 4 stars, definitely not coming back.

Yelp
The food tasted good in my mouth , the House Special and the Beef lo Mein and the egg drop soup are preeminent .
google avatar

Nelson L.

Yelp
Although they're plain on atmosphere, they have a great Mongolian barbecue. Their General Tso's chicken is probably the best in Lubbock. They also have tasty chicken fried rice, and their lunch specials are under $7.00, and are nice and filling. They're quick with take out orders.

Yelp
Beijing House is in what began as an A&W burger/root beer restaurant about 40 years ago. It's focus is clearly on food and friendly, efficient service. I consider it a better alternative to an Asian buffet in that you get your meal prepared to order and it is less expensive. I always get the Mongolian BBQ - ingredients are fresh and delicious - and the chef will work with you if you have special needs, such as in not adding sugary or salty seasonings. It's not long on atmosphere, but it is clean and well run. I consider it to be one of the top five best inexpensive places in the 806.

Apryl D.

Yelp
The food is always GREAT!!! Love the BBQ, orange chicken and steamed dumplings!!! May be a lil whole in the wall but the food is AWESOME.
google avatar

Daniel S.

Yelp
Average dining experience. Mongolia was good, but Grand daughter had orange chicken.... It was just OK... Service was good. But could use some cleaning.
google avatar

Will T.

Yelp
Has a really bad flavor and wayyyy overpriced. Orange chicken tasted like it had been soaked in dirty dishwater before served.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
I love this place! Best Mongolian beef I've had in years. The orange chicken is really good as well. The staff is always super nice when I go to pick my food up. I'm looking forward to being able to utilize their delivery service now that I live within their delivery area. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because I love sesame chicken and general tsos, but there's doesn't taste the same as what I'm used to.
google avatar

Kassie N.

Yelp
I always order to go, but the service is great. The meat is really tender. And the plates are pretty saucey. I usually get the chicken and Chinese vegetables and it's good.
google avatar

Jay C.

Yelp
My favorite Asian place in Lubbock. It's not fancy, but it's always my wife's first choice when she wants me to take her out for Asian food. Their Mongolian Beef and Pork Fried Wontons are awesome!!! You have to try the Pork Fried Wontons! They are addictive!
google avatar

Raider R.

Yelp
Eat here way to much. Great lunch specials as well as the Mongolian BBQ. For those that do not know what that is, you make your bowl, think Genghis Khan Grill, and they cook it on a large wok in the middle of the restaurant. Soups can be a little bland but the fried rice is very good. A nutty smokey flavor. If your on a budget this place is a great place to satisfy any size hunger. Staff is friendly and attentive.
google avatar

Greta G.

Yelp
They always have fresh ingredients. I love the lack of atmosphere. If I want delicious, nourishing food, I go here.
google avatar

Sergio R.

Yelp
This place has the best Mongolian BBQ in Lubbock, by far. Everything was fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. A little hole in the wall that offeres a party in your mouth. Great staff, so friendly and welcoming. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
My wife and I ate at Beijing House last Saturday, The decor is simple but clean, though the restaurant shows its age. The carpeting and booths are probably left over from when the location was a Chinese Kitchen for many years. We both ordered the Mongolian BBQ, which comes with soup (egg drop or hot & sour) fried or steamed rice, and an egg roll. This was all for about $7 and for an extra $3, its all-you-can-eat. The Mongolian BBQ ingredients are set up buffet style, with options of beef, pork, or chicken, plenty of veggies, sauces, and vermicelli noodles or lo mein. The soup, wonton chips, and rice are also on the buffet table, but they brought our egg rolls to us fresh. Once you've made up you're Mongolian BBQ, you place it on the grill in the middle of the room for the cook to fry up for you and he brings it to your table when he's done (I tipped him, but its not required). It was very good! Probably the best Mongolian BBQ I've ever had. Way better and more reasonably priced than Genghis Grill! It was very flavorful and a little greasy (the way good Mongolian BBQ should be). I paid for all-you-can-eat and my second trip was just as good! The restaurant is family owned and they are very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place!
google avatar

Lisa T.

Yelp
Decent food. No alcohol; poorly air-conditioned. Inexpensive.

Bri C.

Yelp
There was no baby changing table in the restroom. The table next to ours had dirty dishes on it despite not being very busy. Our table looked like it hadn't been wiped down. The menu is right when you walk in on the counter so someone stares at you as you decide what you want. It's overall an awkward experience.
google avatar

Alan S.

Yelp
Adequate. Food was well prepared but not exceptional. Staff were very friendly, quick and helpful. Lubbock desperately needs better restaurants of this category.
google avatar

Krystal H.

Yelp
Wow!!! This place was better than that's Chinese take out we got. My spouse ordered the seasons chicken with lo mein, steamed dumplings and extra egg rolls. I ordered the orange chicken with fried rice and egg drop soup! It was awesome!! I found several other dishes Id like to try with them! Food didn't take that long to deliver either !

Danielle M.

Yelp
Just ate this for dinner using delivery service, it wasn't great. I would pass on this place. The reviews are mixed so I took a chance and I wasn't happy. I feel bad giving a 2 star review so I'll give them a 3 for being timely and friendly. Food was a 2.

Justin H.

Yelp
Finally, finally, after many years in Lubbock we found good takeout/delivery Chinese. The restaurant isn't very attractive, so we've never eaten there, but the food is always good and reasonably priced. It's nothing exceptional--pretty much your standard Americanized Chinese food--but it's the only one I've found in Lubbock that is above average. (So, so many bad ones.) We eat here all the time.
