Miami's Best Grocery Stores - Miami - The Infatuation

"Beijing Mart is located right next to one of Miami’s best Chinese restaurants, King Palace. This grocery store is mostly centered around Chinese ingredients but also stocks a solid selection of Japanese, Korean, and Southeast Asian items. They have a small but well-curated assortment of fresh produce, including fresh bamboo shoots, lotus root, and meaty king mushrooms. What really sets Beijing Mart apart, though, is their great selection of Asian candies and snacks, including Thai durian-flavored sandwich cookies, Taiwanese pineapple cakes, and more kawaii Japanese candies (grab a cart because you’ll need it)." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino, virginia otazo

Google
A Chinese market that have most of the things you need inside. I bought chicken powder, soy sauce, pak choi and thai jasmine rice.

Grace's Enterprises

Google
Low prices, clean & organized, friendly staff, lots of parking. They speak English, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. I love shopping here. Hair products & cosmetics too, many authentic/from China - made, produced in China...seafood, vegetables, cookware, tea, spices...just visit at least once. Lastly, they have the cutest, tiny shopping carts!

It would be better, if they add fresh ready to serve sushi

Here are nice prices and a lot of authentic goods. Everything is of high quality. I come regularly. I buy paste for Tom Yum soup and a lot of other things. There are also dishes and cleaning products for the house, but of course the most important thing is delicious quality food products.

Google
Extensive collection of spices, sauces & oils needed to make the Asian food you love so much; no point in hiding it. Offerings are predominantly Chinese but has a great selection of Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai and Korean items. Only place in Miami Dade where I can find black cardamom. You can also buy huge bags of koshihiraki; I think that's pretty cool.

Google
i visit regularly to pick up food staples in my house like natto, kimchi, frozen dumplings, and more! i’ve found some new pantry faves and gotten cute housewares at this market as well. i also like that it’s a little bit smaller but still has a good selection. it’s not overwhelming! my only complaint is i’ve gotten some questionably fresh veggies in the produce section before. all in all, i look forward to continuing to come back!

Google
Tell me how I waited 20 minutes for the store to open at 9:30 930 a guy pull up the gate and I thought the store was open turn out the store was not open and then when I knock I finally got somebody attention inside he talking about can you wait 25 minutes that’s when the cashier will be coming what kind of workplace is that you have on Google that the store open at 9:30 in the cashier is not coming until 30 minutes after 9:30 that’s ridiculous what got me mad is the fact that I had waited 20 minutes prior to Didn’t get what I needed and was late for work

I love this market they have all the ramen and add in’s you can imagine. 10/10 definitely shop here. Staff is very nice as well

Yelp
This place is my favorite Asian market in south Florida. I love and appreciate the array of options. I've been coming here for over 7 years & always find a good bit of groceries, spices, drinks, etc. Their snack & ramen section are overwhelming in a good way. Take your time to explore everything because they have a lot going on, but blink & you'll miss it. The prices are decent. Some items a little high, but it's worth it because it's imported goods.

Yelp
Such a good place it's just it's hidden when the building in front of it opens everything is gonna sell out

Yelp
Small but clean Asian market in North Miami Beach. There is no bakery or bubble tea counter inside. I found most of what I wanted but I thought the market was going to be bigger with a larger selection. For me it was not worth the trip because the Asian makets close to my house have what I need and more.

Yelp
Great selection and service. If you are looking for great Asian ingredients from many countries in the region check this place out. Best Bok Choy in miami hands down. Great fresh noodles and all those hard to find / interesting ingredients you won't find in a big box store.

Yelp
I've long known Asian markets are pretty common in North Miami on 167th, along with dumpling places and Chinese restaurants. I passed this place working in the area and stopped in after a quick Yelp consult lol I was on a quest for kimchi, even though it's a Chinese market. I'm sick of paying Publix and Whole Paycheck for tiny jars of kimchi. Naturally I found tons of Asian items I couldn't resist, and finally found some fresh homemade kimchi in monster jars for $6.99. I bought 2, because I'm never in that area, and I eat a ton of it as it's a favorite almost daily healthy snack for me vs junk food, and it's really good for your gut! Also bought ampules of Ginseng at register at $0.50 each- if you haven't researched benefits of Ginseng, you should! I'll be back, the Kimchi is pretty damn good, and the Ginseng I'll probably buy a case of next visit. Nice employees, and King Palace is next door for some killer Chinese food/BBQ if hungry ;)

Yelp
Great Asian market but I wish they carried MAYWAH vegan food. I tried some of the vegan food they had in the frozen section and tbh it was not good at all. I tried the vegan shrimp and some vegan meat. Wouldn't buy it again but I do hope they get some maywah

Yelp
I like this place. They usually have everything I need. They have good customer service. The largest selection of teas I have seen in the area. The restrooms are always clean as well as the store.

Yelp
Very organized, clean and spacious Asian supermarket. I loved the nice and wide variety of oils, seasonings, noodles, rice noodles, tea and sweets available. They also have some soup bowl dishes and a few other kitchen utensils. They carry many many frozen products like fish balls, shrimp and pork dumplings and also Chinese vegetables like Bok Choy, mung bean sprouts and plenty types of mushrooms. Prices are affordable and we were able to find an excellent Korean kimchee and I also got a matcha-green tea cake from Japan and a wonderful coffee from Taiwan. If you like to discover the legendary and ancient chinnesse cuisine they have all the products you need including the wraps for egg rolls and dumplings!!! Is always a great idea to Visit this lovely store and continue supporting our local business.

Yelp
Too bad it's far where I live, otherwise I would be a regular here. This is not your typical South Florida Asian grocery store, smelling and somewhat dirty with most of items expired before Covid-19. On the contrary, this supermarket is very clean, neat, and with plenty of choice when it comes to buying Asian food, but also stuff for the house. Prices are very reasonable and we found everything we wanted and more, including some nice sauce holders for the kitchen and Chinese soup spoons, which I needed because we often cook Asian food in our home (well that and 9 other types of cuisines...) When we went there we were literally the only non-Asian patrons, which to me is always a good sign, similar to when you walk in an Italian restaurant and everybody there is Italian: it speaks of authenticity. I will stop by again on my way back from Miami to PB County in our frequent future trips south and if you are looking for Asian food and kitchen tools (or décor) you have to visit this place.

Yelp
Please Are somewhat rude and You do not help if you have questions was not impressed with their selection

Yelp
This market is a must-visit if you're looking for Chinese and Asian food. The store is very big, clean, very well stocked and organized. They also have frozen products and some fresh vegetables, but no fresh fish (therefore, no foul smell at any time!). You can also find kitchen ware and tools. The prices are very reasonable, and they have a private small parking lot. I have read previous reviews warning about expired items: everything we checked was well within the expiration date.

Yelp
I used to go to another Chinese market in this area, but they mainly accepted cash or debit and required a threshold purchase amount to use credit cards. Then I found out about this market, and I'm glad to be able to go within a short drive! And they accept credit cards without limitations. They are open during the COVID pandemic, and they are open past the 2pm closing that maps for some reason say. They have large selections of each type of item. I usually go to get cooking rice (several brands, grains, sizes and prices), Asian vegetables and most importantly, tofu. When I can't stand the way too firm and not great tasting tofu in mainstream supermarkets and crave soft, silken tofu for hot pots and soups, I come here. They have a lot of different brands and firmness types of tofu (though I recommend House brand tofu for the quality and safety of its soybeans) to choose from. I've even gotten pure soy milk that is larger and less expensive than at other supermarkets. However, some items are low in stock or unavailable during the pandemic, so you need to look through carefully and see what is available. They also stock a lot of items from different Asian countries, so you'll see jars of kimchi next to rows of miso, ramen packets and packs from China, Korea, Thailand and Japan, and Indian spices next to Korean and Chinese chili pastes. It took so much in me not to buy a chili paste, there are so many and look so good! I also go to buy vegetables like mustard greens, baby bok choi, Chinese eggplants and bean sprouts, because usually they are 1. fresh, 2. very inexpensive per pound pricing, and 3. in huge quantities, encouraging a veggie fest at home. I'd say you should be able to find a product for whatever Asian dish you're trying to make. I just discovered the frozen food section, which was so expansive that I had to pull myself away after choosing a frozen dumpling bag! Go take a look there, I guarantee you'll find something new, tasty and useful to get!

Yelp
This store is still clean and no fishy smell like other Asian market. However, this time things I bought were old. Some I noticed in the store and brought it to their attention. I still wanted to buy, but they told me that they can give only 20% off. Once I got home, the snack I bought had expiration date of January, 2022. The other one was expired last year. I know it's hard to get Asian stuff in Miami. But these are food. So, please please before you buy, check the date!

Yelp
A newcomer to the area, this Asian market provides a selection of different teas, snacks, foods, kitchenware, frozen food, etc. It is small but well lit and clean.
google avatar

Wen-Ju C.

Yelp
The selections are great and everything is well organized and clean. The market provides fresh/frozen food, snacks, beverages, accessories, medicine, kitchenware, fruits, fish, canned/dry goods, and more. There is plenty of parking outside of the building with shopping carts parked near the entrance for customers to get. The restrooms are located inside the store at the back with more than 1 stalls. 4 stars because I noticed that some foods are expired and still sitting on shelves. The last time I was there, I forgot to check the expiration date for one of the snacks that I got. On the way home, I opened that bag of snack and that happened to be the one expired. I would have returned to exchange but it wasn't worth driving back in traffic. So always check the expiration date!

Yelp
Conveniently located on 167th street just west of NE 6th Ave, this asian market is a great place to shop. Their selections are many, and the place is really kept up clean. They offer more groceries than their competitors just down the street, and the prices are very similar. They also offer a ton of cooking utensils, pots, bowls and plates. There's also a small glass case in the back that houses Japanese type breads and sweets. Going today after being absent for so long made me a believer. I believe this is the best place to pick up your Asian groceries as their options are plentiful.

Yelp
I've been in south Florida way too long, but some dude told me that 163rd street is like New York City, in terms of people and business diversity. I don't know which New York dude is talking about, but there is nothing in South Florida that is remotely similar to NYC, much less 163rd street. Anyway, I had to drive and wait for someone while they were getting blood work at Jackson North Medical Center. So I decided to check out Beijing Mart, the main Asian Market on 163rd st, a place where many of my Miami yelp comrades have given glowing reviews. Beijing Market has mostly Chinese products, but they also seem to have a little of everything from South East Asia. I'll say this, in terms of size and variety of products, for Miami this place is great. But the standard for Asian markets in Broward is much higher, our markets are much bigger and a couple of them have Asian Seafood Markets within them. They're more like what you'd find out in Socialist California. In Broward, Beijing Mart cannot compare to Kimchi Mart, Oriental Mart, NY Mart, or Foodtown. Beijing Mart reminds me of the mid-sized Asian Markets in Broward.

Yelp
I wanted to make Shrimp Egg Roll for an appetizer, so I researched on Google an Asian Market. This place popped up first on Google. This place had everything I needed, especially dish ware I want to purchase. The sales associate was very helpful in helping me find what I need to make my Spring Roll appetizer a success.

Yelp
The opening time of 9:30 seems to be flexible (I left at 9:35 and saw another picture on Yelp with a similar experience), but if you wait, you'll find a pretty clean looking store with all the essentials. I was particularly impressed to find some Prima Taste brand noodles I had ordered online previously (because they are so good), here for $3 - sweet!! Good selection of veggies too - got some bok choi and Chinese eggplant. Prices on some items were a little more than PK across the street, but I'd weight them both about equal.
google avatar

Claudia J.

Yelp
Another Asian store on 167.... Beijing Mart carries a lot of stuff. It does not look like a very big store from the outside, it's located next to King Palace. Vegetables are fresh, lots of bottled stuff and do carry a variety of one thing, which is good to have choices as a customer. Pretty clean, organized and friendly staff. Prices are reasonable.

Sophisticated A.

Yelp
Beautiful store. I love you. All the best fresh products for your home. Try magic tiger oil for headaches

Yelp
I didn't think that trying to find Asian ingredients in Miami would be so hard. Well it is. It's a little disappointing that Miami is so not Asian food friendly but hey you gotta deal with what you can find. :) I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the Asian foods take off and become more popular here! ;) One can always hope. Anyhow, this was the second out of 4 Asian grocery stores that I visited and this is by far the best one. They have a nice selection of items that I was looking for in a clean well lit area. It wasn't cluttered. Things were well labeled and the prices were higher then I was used to paying in Vegas but for Miami...I think they were decent. Yeah I had to drive 45 minutes in traffic to get here... But i was able to find 90% if the items that I was looking for. They had the soy sauce, gochujang, sesame oil, Chinese sausage, rice cakes, plethora of Korean ramens that I was looking for as well as snacks... Nori... And all the Asian "herbal" medicines and tiger balm that my parents swore up and down would fix anything...lol In other words, they had pretty much everything that I was looking for. Was it smaller than the Asian grocery stores in Vegas, Texas and Cali?? Heck yeah.. But hey... I'll take 90% over 40% which is what the other three Asian grocery stores had... And it was clean to boot! So have I found my Asian grocery store in Miami?? Yup I have! And I'll be coming to Beijing again and again and again and again. :)
google avatar

Cynthea B.

Yelp
This is the closest market I have been able to find and I'm so happy I stumbled upon it and decided to walk in! It's not huge but it has majority of what you would be looking for. Tea, sweets, ramen, fruits, candies, food items, etc. Give it a go if you find yourself in the area!
google avatar

Jasper H.

Yelp
Beijing Mart still has a perfect 5 stars in my book! Beijing Mart really works toward expanding their inventory and prioritizing customer satisfaction. Whether it'd be dry goods or veggies, I've never purchased anything expired or un-fresh. Even if I'm willing to purchase vegetables that are okay in my standards, the cashier won't sell me them if they're not to their standards. I'm really impressed. Other Asian supermarkets could care less if you buy un-fresh vegetables, but not Beijing Mart! They also really work in keeping their store nice and clean. The boxes and other products are lined up with precision with the price clearly marked. There's a slight "odor", but it occurs naturally from Chinese herbs. Beijing Mart has sales every week, so keep an eye out in the Chinese newspaper for their weekly specials! Out of all my visits, I still haven't found a flaw. Keep up the perfect score!
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
I stopped by here to grab a few things for an event at my school. The store wasn't super big or have much variety in the sense of Korean foods, but I found a few things. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that I had only two bags of goods and the total came to $30 something dollars. I have previously shopped at Kimchi-Mart in Pembroke Pines, walked out with like 10 bags for $82. I felt like I got a better bang for my buck up there, versus here. Also, I think there was a better selection up there. I definitely didn't hate the place, but I think I've been to better.
google avatar

Bk K.

Yelp
I always come here for my Asian produce and products they have a good range from Korean , Vietnamese , Chinese to Thailand.. the price is reasonable the produce is really good . Everything is nice and clean , staffs are helpful and unlike any other market it doesn't smell lol
google avatar

Patrick B.

Yelp
Beijing mart is a very clean and organized store on 167 street , the owner are Venezuelan chinese and the whole family seems to work there . I go there from time to time when I need a special items i can't find ,most of the time i will call ahead and check, they always answer my question and are very helpful. They have now kind off replace P.K that was down th street next to burger king ,which no longer exist I miss it If you do need chinese or japanese , Indonesian products you can go there and be assure that all the dry ,perishable and frozen are fine and not expired ,I gladly recommend this store.
google avatar

Kenya T.

Yelp
I'm in love with asian culture. Especially, their food so I was excited when I first saw this place and brought over $30 worth of items and enjoyed them on my way back to Daytona. Definitely 5 stars
google avatar

Isis N.

Yelp
This Chinese market it's the nicer one I have ever been. Well organized and super clean. Staff its friendly and happy to help, regardless I was mispronuncing all the names in my list. They have a huge selection of noodles, sauces and everything in between. Next time I'll try the veggie dumplings.
google avatar

Dan C.

Yelp
So when I want to restock my freezer with dumplings and other oriental favorites, I visit this place. Usually there is plenty of parking and there are no long waits inside. Prices are good and they carry a large selection of frozen dumplings and dim sums. Always keep that freezer stocked!
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
Nice big Asian grocery store, lots of Chinese stuff but had all the Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, and other Asian staple ingredients and brands. Love it.
google avatar

Devona W.

Yelp
Growing up in this area, it's known for the Asian/Chinese markets and restaurants. I love my old spots but I'm glad this new one is around. Items are always newly restocked and fresh.
google avatar

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Great alternative to the long standing market just down the street...but these hours must also be wrong. If they open at 9:30 am, why am I still sitting in the parking lot, looking at a closed store. Asian markets on 163rd, PLEASE OPEN ON TIME or UPDATE your posted hours to show what time you really open. *ARGH*
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
This place is so organized & clean. The people who work here are nice and somewhat helpful. The customer or traffic flow of the store is still light and not so crowded, which I really like. The parking is nice and spacious. However, they still seem to be in the building their inventory phase, so they didn't have what I was really for but they did carry things that peaked my curiosity. So, I will return when their inventory "game is straight" or when their fully stocked!!! Their tea & coffee section looks good, they seem to have a lot of variety!!!!
google avatar

Ann C.

Yelp
I love this supermarket. Unlike all others in the area, this store is tidy, clean, fresh products, average prices and approachable storekeepers.

Olga O.

Yelp
I FOUND VEGAN SHRIMP HERE!! $7.50 per bag of 8.8oz May Wah I think it's the brand. They also have other vegan mock meats in the freezer. If you are looking for it, I found it on the floor coolers on the side towards the food aisle. 4/29/2020. The store is nice and clean, very organized. Will be going back!
google avatar

Mia I.

Yelp
A lot of stuff are VERY OLD! I swear that I saw some bag has bugs inside. And I brought the noodles it was taped!!! Obviously owner know someone opens it and he just tape it put back on sale !!! When I open it up, smells gross. It's already have mold on the noodles! Yuck. Dumping flower is not a refresh either, darker than I used to buy, check the bag don't even have Production Date! Maybe already 5 years old! I would never go back to buy any food it's not save!
google avatar

Frannie B.

Yelp
They have good selection of Asian products but the price maybe higher than other stores.
google avatar

Darlene S.

Yelp
Love this place...great price n food...my Son loves it too...I went to just find one ingredient n ended up buying a lot of ingredients....found so much to love...
google avatar

Joanna Z.

Yelp
Great location and reasonable price on various Chinese snacks and hot pot materials.
google avatar

Tawanna-Patrice M.

Yelp
Clean, organized, well-stocked, and great customer service. This is one of the newer Asian markets in the area and they are quickly becoming my favorite. The prices are fair; they have a variety of Asian products - Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Filipino, Taiwanese, etc; and a bakery in the back. Asian teas and coffees.... galore! I wish they had an expanded produce section... but they cover the basics.

Jennie V.

Yelp
Well organized and clean, carried a wide selection of snacks and produce, cashier was quick and attentive.
google avatar

Michael W.

Yelp
Clean Asian market with an awesome bakery and fresh produce with reasonable prices in Miami?! YESSSS! And to make things even better, they have Portuguese egg tarts?! I have died and gone to a Chinatown with a real Asian market! The egg tarts are the best I've had in Florida! They run about $1.50 and are huge and delicious! Flaky sweet and delicious! I also got their BBQ pork bun and it was excellent! I highly recommend this place for your Asian grocery needs and to munch on some sinful baked goods while shopping! I couldn't be happier to have Beijing Market here!
google avatar

Ute L.

Yelp
What a delightful Asian market. Clean, bright, well organized and all the food is clearly labeled and priced in English. They have the usual housewares, condiments, dried foods etc. plus a frozen section with dim sum and some fresh produce. No minimum purchase to use your credit card and friendly staff. This will be a regular stop for me.
google avatar

Loralei P.

Yelp
This is my new favorite asian market. Not only is the whole store clean, it also smells nice. Theres no lingering smell of fish or meat. Theres a lot of different varieties of stock. They have a lot of vegies and also an assortment of snacks at a great price. The staff is friendly and they are ready to help and suggest other producfs if what you need is not readily available. Soon they will also be selling ready made food and boba. They sure give the competition a run for their money.
google avatar

Monica S.

Yelp
A mid size Asian supermarket with somewhat fresh vegetables. The selections are okay for Florida Chinese supermarket. There are also free parking in the shopping plaza. The service was also okay. Overall, I would say it is decent.
google avatar

Katherine K.

Yelp
Beijing Mart is one of my favorites up in North Miami! I'm from Kendall but live up in North Miami for school, so one places I originally sought out was PK Oriental. Now, while this one is just as nice, I wasn't too happy with the $15 minimum credit card charge or you get $.50 charge. As for Beijing Mart, there's always plenty of parking! The store is very well lit, clean, and has a great selection of items! I usually go for Ramuné, Thai Tea, and other popular Japanese, Thai, Korean, and Chinese snacks. Plus, you can get speciality ramen there for quite a good price! Very happy they also take debit/credit cards too!

Miriana B.

Yelp
Wonderful place!!! High marks for a large variety of Asian ingredients, items you rarely find somewhere else, all at very reasonable prices. Almost everything in the store is marked well in English and the staff is prepared to assist in making choices or trying new things. Clean, well organized and customer oriented.
google avatar

Aris F.

Yelp
This place gets high marks for being bright, CLEAN, and well-organized. The aisles aren't cramped like in some of the other shops in the area, and the staff on duty today also seemed more friendly than tends to be the case in some of the other shops. Prices seem pretty fair. Plenty of parking. Chung Hing carries a much broader selection of items, but Beijing Mart wins by making the shopping experience much more enjoyable.
