Where to Find the Best Halal Food in Orlando, Florida | Eater Miami

"This Oviedo hotspot (as well as sister op Beirut Bakery & Deli on South Orange Blossom Trail) lures patrons in for its Levantine baked goods, some of the best shawarma in the city, and sweets, but the grilled meats at this location be it the seasoned beef-lamb kafta and the lamb kebab sandwich wrapped in thin, crisp Armenian flatbread set it apart. Kunefe na’meh has a top layer of smooth semolina and a bottom layer of akkawi cheese and isn’t as sweet or syrupy as other kunefe in town." - Faiyaz Kara

I love Beirut Grill. The food is amazing and so are the people that work here. There is something on the menu for everyone. I recommend the chicken shawarma!!! It's my favorite. The mansaf is wonderful. The spinach pies and all others are always freshly baked and delicious. Their desserts are to die for, so be careful or you'll be addicted. I almost forgot they have the best grape leaves in the world! They make them from scratch and the blend of spices they use is on another level. To top it off, you always see the team with a friendly welcoming energy that just makes you feel at home.

What an amazing find! Great food and wonderful service. If you’re looking for bold, authentic flavors and perfectly seasoned dishes, this restaurant’s Beef Shawarma and Beef Hummus are absolute must-tries! My picky daughter tried the beef sandwich and she loved it! Definitely coming back.

Wow! I can’t say enough good things about Beirut Grill and Deli in Orlando. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat. This place is not only clean and well-maintained, but it also has a welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help and make recommendations. We originally planned to have just a zaatar pie and some meat pies, but the second we laid eyes on the shawarma spits, we couldn't resist. Watching the perfectly seasoned meat slowly roast and crisp up on the rotisserie was enough to make us start drooling! We had to order some, and let me tell you—it did not disappoint. The chicken shawarma was incredibly juicy and packed with flavor, with the perfect balance of spices that brought back memories of authentic Lebanese street food. The beef shawarma was just as impressive, tender and bursting with delicious, smoky flavors. The sandwiches were generously filled, wrapped in fresh, soft pita, and topped with the classic garlic sauce and tahini that added the perfect finishing touch. But the food didn’t stop there. We also tried their hummus, which was silky smooth and paired beautifully with their freshly baked bread. The fattoush salad was crisp and refreshing, with the right amount of tangy sumac and crunchy pita chips. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, like something straight out of a Lebanese kitchen. Not only was the food authentic and delicious, but the service was top-notch. The staff was warm and welcoming, making sure everything was to our liking. They took the time to explain the menu and even gave us some recommendations for other Lebanese dishes to try next time. Whether you're Lebanese and craving a taste of home or just someone who loves good food, I highly recommend Beirut Grill and Deli. It's hands down one of the best Lebanese spots in Orlando, and I will definitely be coming back to try more of their menu! If you're in the area and looking for delicious, authentic Lebanese food with great service and a clean atmosphere, this is the place to go!

Food is Amazing and service is even better. Picky eater son approves. Shawarma platter big enough to share for two people, just add a side of Baba Ghanoush. Mankoushe flat bread shawarma pizza in the picture.

This place was incredible. Absolutely incredible! Great chefs and owners, smooth hummus that felt like a cream and the flavor wasn't too sour or bitter, delicious lamb, great portions that I took the rest for lunch for work. I highly recommend if you want a delicious experience and this place can get pretty packed!

My daughter and I had the pleasure of dining at Beirut grill and deli this evening, and I wanted to share how impressed we were. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was exceptional. The laid-back atmosphere and warm, welcoming vibe made it an even more enjoyable experience. We loved everything about our visit and will definitely be back soon. I highly recommend Beirut to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience. Thank you for such a memorable evening!

Yelp
Pros: This is a new restaurant of a less common cuisine than you usually find in Oviedo! Very exciting. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Even the French fries. Lol. The staff was incredibly nice and friendly and helped us choose a few items that we had never tried before. Cons: We got two giant tubs of dips with some bread for dipping, and they forgot to include the bread. Real bummer. Tips: The falafel we ended up dipping instead was honestly some of the best falafel we've had in all of Orlando. Get the falafel. I mean it. Also, the baba ganoush here was smoother, rather than chunky, which was wonderful. My preference.

Yelp
A terrible chain of events had to happen before I came to this place one evening. Three restaurants we had in mind didn't workout, and we were running out of options. I saw this place on my map, and I had heard that it was generating some buzz, so I was like, let's give it a shot. And thank God we did. This place was out of this world delicious. We ordered a bunch of stuff and shared. We ordered a whole tray of falafel. It came on a bed of lettuce and a good amount of pickled veg. Great falafel. Bite-sized, crispy and crunchy, not too dry. I think the smaller size helped with it not being dry. A very good falafel. Would recommend. Then, we ordered a Lahm Ajeen & Cheese, which is a Middle Eastern flatbread topped with minced meat (most commonly beef or lamb), minced vegetables, and herbs including onions, garlic, tomatoes, red peppers, and parsley, flavored with spices such as chili pepper and paprika, then baked. This was very good. It was a floppy flatbread, covered with the minced meat, topped with an ooey gooey cheese. The flavor was bam, smack in your face with a deep flavor. It was very chili peppery and paprikay. I just loved it. A new dish for me. We also shared a Chicken Shawrma Sandwich. Great chicken shawrma. Again, the key here was making this dish not dry. And mission accomplished. Moist, delicious chicken in a very tightly wrapped wrap. I could eat three of these. Very nice. The one hiccup was that I ordered a few flatbreads to go along with the large sides of Hummus and Baba Ghanoush. But I didn't receive those flatbreads in my to-go bags. Which was a major bummer. But we made due. We just dipped everything else we had into the dips and made the best of it. Overall, this place was a blessing in disguise. I'm so glad this place is just down the road, and I will probably be back many times.

Yelp
5 Days ago FRESH...DELICIOUS...AUTHENTIC Friendly and attentive staff. Food was made to Order , GENEROUS PORTIONS . At the age of 56 I have had Kibbeh and I have had Kibbeh wanna beees..... There Kibbeh was an explosion of perfectly combined spices , meat and nuts, The were crispy on the outside and juice and moist on the inside...loved the sweet drizzle of what appeared to be pomegranate glaze. Let's talk SHAWARMAAA!!!! They were DELICIOUS!!! beautifuly crafted stuffed with meat veggies perfect amount of sauce and wrapped in fresh delicious pita. One of the best lunch experiences. I will definitely be back !

Yelp
This was SUCH A TREAT!!!! Every bite was delicious!!!!! I will DEFINITELY be back to try something else and get another of what I got today! The flatbread was so yummy and only 4.99!!! The chicken schwarma was to die for!!!! So flavorful! We also got some fries for the kids and they ate those right up. Pickles just haven't been the same lately. Theirs were good. They had them on the sandwich and some extra on the side for it. The sauce on the sandwich was too good!!! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
If you're craving a taste of home-cooked middle eastern food, Beirut is your spot. It truly is AUTHENTIC Lebanese food, which is hard to find in Orlando!! From the mouthwatering Shish Tawook Sandwich to the Thursday special, Kousa, every dish was delicious. And dessert? The Kenefeh and Ashta will transport you to dessert heaven, plus they just have so many options! The staff are very friendly and added some helpful suggestions. With timely service and attentive care from the owner, Beirut is a must-visit for any food lover. I'll be back!

Yelp
Amazing Lebanese food in Orlando! As someone who's Lebanese myself, this is the most authentic shawarma I've had in Orlando. It tastes just like it does in Beirut. The service is quick and the ambiance is a bit like a hole-in-the-wall but it definitely has charm. They also have a ton of food you can buy and take home with you. Can't recommend enough!

Yelp
We went to Beirut Grill and Deli. It's a new place for us so we gave it a try. The food and service were good. We shared the falafel plate. It was plenty of food for two people.

Yelp
This is a counter service style restaurant and the seats are very comfy. The staff are quite nice, although they do constantly seem to be busy and are always running around so you might have to wait a bit to get their attention. This is definitely not a place to be in and out though as the three or four times I've been there we've always had to wait a bit to get our food. It does mean that the food isn't already prepped and waiting in the back which is good but do be prepared for a wait. The food is very good and I've made it a regular stop for me when I'm craving Mediterranean food. The hummus is quite good and the falafel wraps can easily fill you up. No pictures though because we always scarf the food down when we get it.

Yelp
I know I just reviewed this place, but we have been there 3 times in the last two weeks and it just keeps getting better! Today we had a whole grilled chicken platter and a vegetable platter. I also ordered a Kafka sandwich. This is a type of Lebanese meatball. We had to call ahead to request the whole chicken platter, because it has a longer prep/cook time. It was unbelievably delicious! We also got a vegetable platter, and the chicken came with 3 different sauces, pickles, and more vegetables. The staff and owners of the restaurant are all very friendly, and very proud of the food they serve. I really love this place!

Yelp
Fist time trying this place and the food was amazing! The wait was a little long but worth it. Fresh falafel platter and a chicken shawarma combo with fries were cooked to order and each order was enough for two meals; yummy dinner already prepared! The people were friendly and the dining area sufficient. We'll be repeat customers.

Yelp
I have to say that for my first time here it was good and disappointing at the same time. First of all we waited for a long time for our food, about 40-50 min around lunch time. When the food came they brought someone else's food to our table. My husband was so hungry that he started eating until we realize we didn't order the falafel plater. We payed for it anyway since it was really delicious. On the other hand the food was really good. We got a couple of the flatbreads and a beef swarma and of course the add on falafel platter. I would give this place another try because it was really good. But I would avoid coming during during lunch time. For our bonus, we got a sticker in our pepper. I know they were busy so it didn't bother us too much.

Alexandria H.

Yelp
The very pretty red head was so friendly and helped us choose what to get. We had the lamb kabob, falafel, humus, fatoush, and tabouleh. Everything was very flavorful but the lamb was AMAZING. 10/10.

Jessicka B.

Yelp
I don't leave reviews often, and most of the time they are positive. But this place was disappointing to say the least. We waited 30 min for a sandwich and a sandwich combo. The sandwiches were okay and at least they were filling. the combo was one of the most disappointing parts of the experience, it was only fries that tasted previously frozen and nothing else. Additionally, while we waited, four men came in, ordered, and got their food before us and they ordered much more than us. I think they worked there so to see them be served before paying customers is just sad and not a good look. hopefully you treat other customers better!

Yelp
One of the best places in town, the shawarma wrap tastes very delicious and authentic. I ordered two sandwiches and couldn't eat the second one, It is huge. Staff were super friendly ! I highly recommend it.

Yelp
My mouth just had THE MOST amazing experience. I got a flyer in the mail and have been wanting to try this place. my son loves to try new foods so off we, my son, husband (for his birthday), and I went to this cozy little brand new restaurant. It is small so it feels like it's more of a takeout place but we did dine in. We got the falafel, a shawarma platter, & shish tawook. O. M. G. The homemade hummus as a dip for the chicken was AAAAAAMAZEBALLS. The yoghurt, also a dip, used for the falafel was eyes rolling back in my head delicious. Both the shawarma and shish tawook came with tabbouleh which is basically a parsley salad. YUM. The yellow rice seasoned with nutmeg was fantastic. LOVED ALL THE THINGS! We ate it all so fast we forgot to take pictures. There was plenty to take home, so pictured is what we had left and the people sitting next to us ordered the falafel and were kind enough to let me take a photo of theirs. If you, too, would like a party in your mouth, I HIGHLY, all the thumbs up, recommend. The owner was VERY VERY NICE! I will be back. There were many patrons from what appeared to be the local Lebonese community so you know the food is delicious and authentic.

Yelp
The most delicious and authentic Lebanese food in Orlando! This location serves all the same delicious food as their other location on OBT but has new options like falafel, shawarma, kafta, etc. The fried kibbe and baba ghanouj are my favorite, along with their delicious Knafeh for dessert. Also tried the beef shawarma which was fresh and seasoned perfectly. Service is always friendly and attentive, they always do their best to make everyone feel welcome.

Yelp
The food came out quick and fresh. The flat bread is delicious, shawarma has a lot of meat in there. Give it a try if you are in the area. Btw, the owner is super nice!

Yelp
The food was amazing. My family and I tried almost everything. It was fresh and tasty. The service was quick, very kind and accommodating. We had a large party and they even took our picture. We will be back!! The ambiance was cozy and family friendly.

Yelp
We tried this place and we loved it. I had the Kabab platter and my husband had the Chicken Shawerma. Very generous portions. They have an assortment of bottled or can beverages. It's has a small dining room and you can take items to go. Delicious food for sure. We will be back to try more menu items.
google avatar

Yelp
Although the food was very good, especially the shwarma wrap, let me tell you what I witnessed. A young, shy Black girl selling something from her school came into the restaurant. Without hesitation, the guy behind the counter took out a dollar that he was just given to him from his tip jar to help the little girl out. That meant the world to me. I will definetely be back--and will leave a tip!

Yelp
I have to say i was so hopeful as I haven't found a Lebanese place in central Florida that has good food. And still haven't found one, the food was not good, the meat was overcooked, the pickup order was half wrong, missing items and charging me an arm and a leg for terrible food with missing items? No thanks.... Def will not be coming back. Im Lebanese which makes this food even more disappointing.

Vanda F.

Yelp
Best Lebanese restaurant in Florida!!!Definitely recommend this place, everyone is very polite, the food is amazing, everything is made from scratch in the restaurant...hummus, shawarma, fatouch, taboule, manakish, everything so delicious

Shemar H.

Yelp
The food was a very good delight the chicken was so juicy and cooked very well at the same time. The fries were also very tasty too. Also the service was very great too.they are very friendly and are so very kind.

Wesley M.

Yelp
They were out of several items and it took 40 minutes to get hummus. Shawarma was overcooked and very dry. Tabbouleh salad was very good but it was the only thing. Lots of better alternatives around.

Jacob M.

Yelp
Authentic Mediterranean styled restaurant near UCF and you must try! I tried the chicken shawarma and it was by far the best one I've ever had, highly recommend it. They were friendly and had excellent service.

Maria M.

Yelp
Excellent Mediterranean food. Creamy and tasty hummus. Had kafta platter and my husband had kabab platter. Both were tasty and big portion was served. Staff is friendly.

Frank Q.

Yelp
The quality of the food is commendable, the service is satisfactory, but the prices are not reasonable. Charging $12 for a shawarma wrap is excessively high; it should ideally be priced at around $8 or include a complete meal comprising a side dish and a beverage for $12. As a result, many University of Central Florida students are unable to afford dining at this establishment despite their desire to do so due to the significant cost.

Tania A.

Yelp
Authentic Lebanese place with best toum, wraps and meat pies! highly recommended. we will back!

Go H Cho M.

Yelp
not clean, employee need to wash hands change gloves, waited 40 minutes for four sandwiches left without food, couldn't watch how the food is being prepared.
