Yelp
This is my 2nd review in a week for this place.
We stayed in the hotel right beside where Beirut is located.
This time, we decided to dine in since the food we had for takeout the night before was very good.
When we came in, we were greeted by an elderly woman (whom I assume was like the mama or owner of the restaurant) she told us to seat anywhere we like and she will be with us to take our orders.
We told her we ordered the night before and that we would love to have the same. She brought us delicious salad with lots of grated feta cheese for toppings, and a bowl of soup that's sweet and savory and just comforting for the soul.
Mama Beirut (as my husband and I called her) was so warm and welcoming and hospitable, she keeps tending to us and asking us if everything was good. We told her this was my birthday dinner and so she told her crew about it and after dinner they brought us a scrumptious complimentary dessert. The baklava was rich but not too sweet, just perfect for dessert after a hearty meal.. and the rice pudding, it is soooo yummy, so creamy and just sweet enough for my liking.
From the food, the excellent service and even the very homey ambiance, I'd give this place 10 stars if Yelp would allow me. This is such a hidden gem and we were just very lucky to have stumbled upon it.
Thank you Mama Beirut for making our last dinner in Romulus such an unforgettable one!
